Chapter 8: A Brewing Storm

Kyoto, Japan

"What is your business here?" Keith asked the Fallen Angel.

"Very simple." He created two spears of light and held them in an X in front of him. "To get rid of you." Tariel dashed forward with his two spears tightly in his hands and struck at him. Keith managed to dodge the double spear attack by jumping backwards.

'He's fast.' He noted in his mind. The Fallen was way faster than the Strays he encountered so far. He obviously had only two options here: to fight or to flee. However, he didn't have time to mull things over because he had to dodge yet another attack by Tariel.

"Hmm, were it any other human right now, they would be dead." The tainted Angel noted. "Let's raise it up a notch." He then stabbed the two spears in the ground. "Unholy Impalement" He said as from the ground, where Keith stood, countless spears of light came out of it with the intention to…well…impale him. Before he could be seriously injured or even dead, he managed to bolt out of their away in the nick of time.

"Oh, you managed to dodge that as well?" The Fallen remarked, his surprised being evident on his face as he manifested another spear of light in his hand. His lips turned into a sinister smile. "Show me more, Holy Emperor!" He launched himself at the young Longinus wielder, the said wielder doing the same. When the True Longinus and Tariel's light spear met, wind erupted from the collision. The two stood their ground against one another and pushed against each other.

"Very impressive, boy." Tariel praised. "Who trained you?" He looked directly in Keith's eyes.

"A ten-tailed wolf." He said simply as he let go of his pushing and made Tariel lose his balance for a moment. Keith turned around him quickly and attempted to stab the Fallen, only for his spear to be deflected by a secondary light spear which Tariel summoned in his free hand.

"Interesting." The Fallen said as he dodged another stab of the Holy Lance. "I can see that you are decently skilled in the art of using a spear." He ducked as Keith's spear almost skewered his head, then he jumped backwards to create some distance between them.

"Are you here by Hitoshi's orders?" Keith asked calmly.

"Oh, who told you that name?" Tariel narrowed his eyes.

"That's not important." The young human said. "I will repeat my question: are you here by Hitoshi's orders?"

The tainted Angel snorted.

"Who the fuck do you think you are to demand answers from me?"

Keith didn't respond as he vanished in a burst of speed and, in a moment, he appeared right in front of Tariel who widened his eyes slightly, but he quickly regained his composure as he blocked Keith's thrust with a magic circle held in his outstretched palm.

"I am starting to get bored." Tariel said while either dodging or deflecting Keith's attempts to stab him. With speed higher than Keith's, he vanished out of the human's sight.

Keith clasped his Sacred Gear tightly in his hands as he looked around.

"Don't bother." A voice said behind him. When he turned he was met with a powerful kick in his stomach, making him spit saliva and sending him through a few small trees, cutting them in the process.

"W-What?" He groaned as he used the True Longinus to get up. Thankfully, his training with Hokori, Kuroka and Kunou made him a bit more sturdier than a normal human. Had he been weak as before, he would have surely died.

"Light Cloak" He heard Tariel's voice again, this time from his left. "An ability created by me, which hides me from everyone's sight." He explained. Keith widened his eyes at the new information.

'I can't defeat him like this.' He remarked, then he was met with a punch in the face, making him slide on the ground for a small distance.

He willed himself to bear the pain for now as he rose up shakily on his two feet. How could he defeat him if he cannot see him?! This is cheating at its finest…Think! How to win against something this cowardly-!

"Only cowards hide behind a cloak." He said as he looked around. He thought of something alright. "You using such underhanded tricks is quite pathetic, against a human no less." His voice was mocking, trying to rile him up. From what he has seen in movies and video games, those who let themselves controlled by anger are subjected to make mistakes.

And this is what Keith needed now: a mistake, no matter how tiny.

"The fuck did you just say to me, you little shit?!" Huh, it was easier to anger the Fallen than he thought. "You are dead!" In that instant, he heard noise from his right. With a shout of anger, Tariel shot out his punch, only for it to miss as Keith jumped to the side. Then guessing the Fallen's last position, he thrusted his bladed spear and managed to stab Tariel in the leg.

With a howl of pain, the tainted Angel's cloak dematerialized as he teleported out of Keith's reach.

"Die! Die! Die!" It seems he was worse than mad, he was absolutely furious. Tariel spread his wings and flew in the air, where he inspected his injury from which blood was pouring out, angering him further as he was hurt by a human, no less!. "Enough playing!" He outstretched his arms as countless spears manifested around him. "Enjoy Hell!" With a move of his hand, the spears cascaded towards Keith.

On his part, the young man rose up the Holy Lance and out of its tip, a beam of light shot out. It managed to disintegrate most of the spears, those which were untouched either missed or cut him slightly around his shoulders and legs, making him hiss in pain.

"Argh, you stubborn fucker!" He heard Tariel yell.

Before Keith could react, the Fallen appeared in his face, then he felt immense pain in the lower half of his body, making him scream as his Sacred Gear dematerialized. The asshole just stabbed him in his side with a light dagger!

"Any last words?" He asked in a cold tone as he yanked the dagger out of Keith, eliciting a fast intake of air from the human.

"Pathetic." Instead of Keith's voice, a third voice made its appearance as the barrier Tariel created broke down.

"What!?" He asked incredulously. His barrier was broken!? Before he could do or say anything else, he was blasted into oblivion by a blue aura bullet, the only thing remaining of him were some black feathers.

Keith looked at the one who saved him and noted that it was a young handsome man with dark silver hair and light blue eyes wearing a dark green V-neck shirt with high-collared black leather jacket over it, as well as a pair of burgundy jeans with a silver chain dropping down over them. His outfit ended with black shoes with black buckles.

However, the most noteworthy thing he noticed was the pair of white Dragon wings which adorned on his back, each having four energy "feathers".

He landed on the ground a few meters away from Keith, who in turn groaned as he managed to stand up, holding his gushing wound.

"As the one who holds the strongest Longinus, you are unbelievably weak." He said, disappointment evident in his voice.

"Well, I am only human." Keith told him, not at all bothered that he was called weak. He knew it so all he had to do was to train himself more. There was no use in getting frustrated or angry at this guy. "Anyway, thank you for helping me out."

The mysterious young man snorted, willed his Dragon wings to disappear and crossed his hands against his chest.

"Kei-kun!" The familiar voice of Kunou made him let out a breath he didn't even notice he was holding in. Then his head was shoved between two soft pillows as the kitsune embraced him tenderly. "When we couldn't feel your scent anymore, I-I t-thought you w-were kidnapped o-or w-worse…d-d-dead." Her voice was shaky, trying her best not to break in a crying mess right then.

"Shh, everything's fine Kunou, I am fine." He said gently as he returned the hug, giving her a reassuring pat on the back.

"You are not fine…" She said softly, then gasped when she saw the ugly stab wound he received from the Fallen. "You need help right now!" She pressed her open palm against his gushing wound, making him hiss in pain, as her hand began to glow. "I am terribly sorry, but please bear with the pain until your wound is healed." She told him benignly. "Then we will return to the palace and take care of your other wounds."

Kunou turned her attention towards the silver haired young man who was watching them impassively.

"You must be the White Dragon Emperor." She said, still holding Keith. "A pleasure to meet you."

"Whatever, I am here only to meet the Youkai Leader." He said as he started to approach them.

As soon as she said 'White Dragon Emperor', Keith's eyes widened in surprise. That meant he is the wielder of Divine Dividing. He read about the White Dragon himself in the books Yasaka gave him, but not so much about the Sacred Gear his soul was sealed in. All he knew was that the user could Divide one's power every ten seconds.

"Azazel told mom that he will send someone, but didn't expect you of all people." Kunou said. "Come then, let us not waste any more time."

The White Dragon Emperor didn't say anything and only moved closer to them as the kitsune teleported them back to the palace.

"Thank the heavens you are fine." Yasaka breathed out in relief when Kunou appeared with Keith and the White Dragon. She quickly got up and gave him a big hug, but being careful as to not touch any wound he suffered. Kuroka was present as well, but decided to remain silent and focus her attention on the silver haired young man. She was more than relieved that Keith was not fatally wounded.

"I will live Yasaka." Keith told her reassuringly. "I am merely grazed here and there." He opted to not tell her that he was-

"It is needed to see if the stab wound you received wasn't poisonous or anything." Kunou chimed in.

Yasaka pushed him out of her embrace and held him by his shoulders.

"You were stabbed?!" She asked incredulously. "Kunou-chan, take him in the backroom and do not leave it until he is healed completely." She ordered with as much seriousness as she could.

"Of course mom."

"But-"

"No buts!" Both Yasaka and Kunou rebuked him instantly.

"Come on Kei-kun." Kunou didn't wait for him to say anything as she grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the backroom.

"Now, Azazel told me that from what he has found out, several eight-winged Fallen Angels work together with Hitoshi." She said as she looked at the extra person in the room.

"Yes and I am to catch them and take them back to Grigori for interrogation." He said simply.

The Kyuubi nodded. "May I know your name?"

"Vali."

"Well then, Vali-san, a pleasure to work with you." She extended a hand.

The one now known as Vali looked at it but didn't shook it in return.

"Don't misunderstand fox, I am here to merely satiate my boredom." He said coldly. "All I want is a good fight, but seeing as the user of the True Longinus is exceptionally weak, and a human no less, I will have to find someone else to challenge."

He then smirked.

"I can feel that you are quite powerful yourself." Vali's aura surrounded him, but quickly dissipated as Yasaka appeared in his face with her claws at his neck, she herself being covered by a golden and black aura.

"Don't overstep your boundaries, Devil." She said with an icy tone. "I have allowed you to come here, in my home, and you seek to fight?"

Her aura skyrocketed again.

"Do not ever disrespect me again, or the White Dragon will need to find another host." She straight out threatened him.

"Tsk." He backed down. As he was now, he couldn't win against her, White Dragon Emperor or not, her level was above his own…for now.

"If you have anything to tell me, do so, if not, then get out of my face." She demanded, her voice was stern and chilling.

"Relax fox, I was merely trying to gauge your power." He said undisturbed by her tone. "I am not stupid enough to start a fight against someone who is in good relations with the Shinto gods."

Yasaka narrowed her eyes at him for a few moments, then she relaxed again.

"My warning still stands." She said in a more calm tone. "You do good and listen to it."

"Duly noted." He said with a small smirk.

'Such a crazy host I have.' None other than Albion, the White Dragon Emperor himself, talked in his mind.

'Don't tell me you wouldn't have loved a fight against her.'

'Maybe, however, that wouldn't have even been a fight.' The Dragon told him. 'She would have wiped the floor with you.'

'For now.'

Albion just sighed, opting to go to sleep. His partner was such a battle maniac.

"Azazel told me he heard rumours that this Hitoshi might work with Tsukuyomi." He said suddenly, then disappeared using his own magic circle, leaving a wide-eyed Yasaka behind.

"The God of the Moon…" She said softly. "This changes this whole ordeal."

"What do we do now, nya?" Kuroka let herself known. She remained silent the whole discussion because she wanted to read Vali, to know what sort of person they were dealing with. Unfortunately. she didn't find much.

Yasaka rubbed her forehead, deep in thought.

"If what he said is true, then I don't know if we can win against the Moon God, nya. "Kuroka said her piece of mind. "Unless you can beat him, nya?"

"While I am powerful, I do not have the strength to best a God." She said. "I need to tell Amaterasu-sama about this."

"Maybe it is just a rumour, nya." The cat Youkai said.

"Maybe…" Yasaka hoped these rumours wouldn't turn out to be true. "Go and check on Kunou-chan and Keith-kun."

"Okay, nya." She got up and made her way towards the backroom.

"How would he have even managed to escape from his prison…" Yasaka asked softly. Amaterasu made sure to enforce his seal with enough divine power to not be broken by anything shorter than a God.

She looked worriedly at the door Kuroka went through. Kunou and Kuroka may be able to survive…but Keith, while showing impressive growth, was nowhere near to beat a High-Class Devil, let alone a God, True Longinus or not.

When Kuroka entered the room, she licked her lips sensually when she saw a half-naked Keith sitting on the bed while Kunou was at his side, checking if she healed every injury he had received.

"Oh~" She exclaimed. "I didn't expect you to be this forward Foxy-chan, nya~" Kuroka teased as she sat on Keith's right side.

"W-What do you mean?" Kunou asked, as her cheeks reddened.

"Touching Kei-kun's upper body must feel amazing, nya~" Kuroka hugged him, shoving his right arm between her bountiful chest, making Keith feel a part of her tits as she didn't wear a bra.

"O-Oi!" He exclaimed. "You don't wear a-

"Bra?" She asked huskily. "I don't really wear one since there aren't many for my size, nya."

She then hugged him with her left arm, placing her hand on his left side, stretching it and feeling his forming abs.

"Oh my, this training is shaping you nicely, nya~" She smirked when she saw a noticeable blush appear on his face.

"H-Hey!" Kunou made herself known as she hugged his left arm between her own very impressive chest. It was slightly smaller than Kuroka's, not by much mind you.

"What do you think you are doing?" She hissed at the feline woman, still blushing.

"Admire Kei-kun's body, nya." She said shamelessly. "As far as I know, he isn't in any relationship, so I can do whatever I want, nya."

This made Kunou widen her eyes in surprise. The fox then narrowed her eyes at the cat woman as she willed her resolve. She opened up her miko outfit a bit more around the chest, letting her huge chest spill out slightly, making Keith twitch when he felt flesh touching his arm, as well as making his blush increase.

"What are you two doing?" He asked in a high-pitched voice, meaning that he was becoming embarrassed by their constant teasing.

"Oh, does Kei-kun not like the attention, nya?" Kuroka asked, then her voice became more seductive. "Or maybe you want more, nya~?"

Before he could answer, a loud explosion was heard from the outside.

"W-What was that?" Kunou asked as she let got of Keith and looked out the window.

"What's wrong?" The young human asked when he heard her gasp. He went near her and widened his eyes when he saw fire and smoke engulfing buildings not far away from the palace.

The door slammed open as Yasaka made her way inside.

"We are attacked." She said, her voice held worry. "We need to help the wounded." She then looked at the Holy Lance wielder. "Keith-kun, you are not ready to fight with us yet, so please remain here."

"What?" He asked incredulously. "I will not stand on the side."

"I am sorry Keith-kun, but as your superior, I order you to stay out of this." She said with finality. "Kunou-chan, Kuroka-chan, come with me." The two looked at each other, then at Keith who balled his fists.

"She is right Kei-kun, please stay here and let us take care of it." Kunou smiled at him and gave him a small peck on his cheek which surprised him. "I know you want to help, but as you are right now, you will only get yourself killed." She knew he understood what she was saying. It wasn't meant as an insult, only to let him know that they were worried about him.

"I…understand." He gritted his teeth, now he was getting frustrated. Frustrated at himself that he couldn't help due to the fact he was too weak.

"Don't worry Kei-kun, nya." Kuroka started. "We will be fine, nya." She then kissed him on the other cheek, making him sputter for a few moments. "I won't die here since I still have much teasing to do to you, nya." She giggled.

Kunou puffed out her cheeks, but didn't say anything to the Black Cat.

"Let's go, nya." They both ran out to Yasaka who was waiting for them, leaving Keith alone inside the room.

"I know he feels frustrated, angry and probably useless, but I hope he understands…" Yasaka said softly.

"He's a smart guy, nya." Kuroka shrugged. "I am sure he won't do anything stupid, nya."

Then they made their way outside, following the path of destruction.

Keith closed his eyes and started to draw calm breaths. He then materialized the True Longinus. Holding the majestic spear in his hands, he stabbed it into the ground as he tightened his palms around the rod.

"I know I am weak, a mere human." He began softly. "But there must be a reason I have been chosen as your wielder." He opened his eyes and gazed at the Holy Lance.

"I refuse to believe that there is really nothing I can do." He said. "All I am asking of you is to help me, Holy Spear whose tip pierced the very side of Jesus Christ." He saw the bladed tip of the spear glow a faint blue, meaning that it was responding to his emotions.

"Light my darkest hour, aid me, even in the most impossible of situations, for I am your wielder, your master and your chosen." Then he plucked the spear out of the ground. "Help me protect, help me fight, help me win."

"Help me make a difference in the battle to come!" He yelled out with all of his strength.

Then, a blinding light engulfed the room.

A/N: Hello guys! Exiled here. Alright! It seems Keith finally met another Longinus wielder, huh? Vali totally ain't pleased that the owner of the strongest SG is a human….but hey a human with a god-killing weapon has to mean something right?

Yeah…so another fighting scene which I have no idea if is good or bad…I mean I totally am sure it ain't good, but it isn't THAT bad…right? If you have any tips on how to write fighting scenes better, do tell me please cause I do know I suck lol.

Anyway, I am NOT 100% happy how this chapter turned out…but I honestly didn't have any idea other than this….I hope you enjoy! Also the last part with Keith was on a whim, so yeah…if it seems stupid or something to you….sorry, but I like seeing stuff like this in anime or read in stories. It gives, in my opinion, some more feeling between a weapon( or power) and its wielder. And since SG are evolving and adapt based on the feeling of their wielder's thoughts, emotions etc etc, I feel like it is a nice touch…dunno, tell me do you think?

So…I must say that at first I thought of using Tobio Ikuse instead of Vali, but apparently he looks the same as Keith, I mean black hair, grey eyes, lol. Didn't know that, or if I knew, I totally forgot. Therefore, I chose Vali. I hope I wrote him decent enough.

runelt99: Hmm…yeah I understand what you're saying. Good idea of a plot if I am being honest, but since I have already written Yasaka like this, I will keep her like this. BUT I may use what you said in another story, thanks for reading!

Bigguy45: Initially, I thought of giving him both an armour and angel wings made out of light…but I scraped that idea off because I didn't really like it. The idea with the shroud seems interesting, but I already decided to give him an armour because I love them and because it makes a bit more sense in my head, like an armour would better protect him against hits, enhance his speed (yeah I know normal armours don't do that, but this is dxd so it must have to out of the blue properties) and stuff like that. Thank you for readin!

Yeah I don't understand why the Gods in dxd are this weak…like bruh…they are divine beings who lived like….for a long long time…that's why I don't know if I will use the wiki for most of them, if any at all…I found a website called "Gods and Demons" which has a lot of information about almost everything I think, from gods to demons, angels, and such. Of course I don't know if everything is 100% true, buuuut, from what I've read, they are pretty close to the myths so yeah, imma stick with that for the moment. Of course I will use it in the future. Hmm, open to story ideas you say….for now I want to write what I have in mind, but in the future? Definitely. Marsuvees Black The Dark Lord: I agree, now when I read it, I can see that I may have gone a bit overboard with how smart Keith may be. I will try to tone it down. I also agree on what you said about Yasaka and her ex, also I don't think I specified they were married, they were only together, they made Kunou, he saw that she has fox ears and tails, and Yasaka told him that they are not human, that's it. I didn't choose for them to be married because I believe Yasaka wouldn't have married him without letting him know beforehand that she is not human. To be honest, initially I didn't plan on doing anything else with him, but now that you said about reintroducing him, you gave me an idea for the future, so thank you for that. Also I will try to write is as good as I can. Now that you mentioned it…it would have been a good idea to turn Daiki into the ex lol, but it is what it is, Yasaka and her ex will meet in the future, after I meld Keith and her together. If that is the right word…what I mean is that from what I've seen in the anime, as well as from what I've read in others' stories, she always desired to fuck the MC, like, from the get-go. I chose to not make her like that because I find it a bit…weird tbh lol. But worry not! For I will try to write her as lewdly as I can XD. Yeah dunno.

As always, if I forgot something, I will probably remember to write it in the next chapter's A/N.
