Christmas Eve falss onto Paris, Snow, joy and good cheer can be found all around...
But not everyone is feeling the Christmas spirit...
Marinette is in her room in tears looking at the destroyed present, a emerald Sweater and miniskirt designed for Kagami, torn to shreds, as she mourned the demise of all her hard work, she could carolers outside the house, the repetitive singing was starting to get on her nerves!
She knew that Lila had somthing to do with this, and Lila probbly did, all of a sudden, her phone rang, upon closer inspection, it was Adrien, for once he was the last person she wanted to talk to.
"(sniffle)...Yes?" Marinette said.
"Hey...i heard what happened, what they did to Kagami's gift was not cool." Adrien said.
"Yeah, when i find the assholes who did this..." growled Marinette.
"It...Was Alya...and Kim..." said Adrien.
"WHAT!" squeaked Marinette.
"I saw them, they thought you stole Lila's latest holiday dress." Adrien explained.
"And you did nothing?" she snarled, Tikki hid under the covers, she has seen Marinette angry, but not "Homicide" angry.
"It's nothing to be upset over, it's just clothes, you can make another..." he said.
Somthing snapped inside Marinette, "Adrien, that sweater and miniskirt cost $12,000 to make, not to mention the wrapping paper and ribbons were an extra $300! it's not somthing i can easily remake!"
"Mari, i know you angry, but i'm sure that after the christmas party at Nino's, you'll feel a lot better." Adrien said.
"What christmas party?" Marinette asked.
"You haven't heard, Nino was holding a christmas party, he invited the whole class, well, except Juleka, Rose, Chloe and Sabrina." Adrien explained.
Marinette just stood there, her body trembling in rage, Nino's folks held a christmas party every year, he didn't even bother to give her an invite?
As she contemplated this, the carolers grew louder, drilling the same song into her mind.
"Mari, i know what you're thinking, please don't try to start anything, remember, we agreed to take the high road, her lies aren't hurting anyone..." Adrien said.
"I can't believe i ever fucking liked you..." she whispered.
"What?" Adrien said.
"I SAID, I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVER FUCKING LOVED YOU! YOU SPINLES PIECE OF CRAP! A PRESENT THAT I HAD MADE FOR A DEAR FRIEND WAS DESTOYED, AND YOU WAVE IT OFF AS I WAS NOTHING SPECIAL! Add to it, you didn't even tell me that no one had invited me to Nino's party, all you care about is making Lie-la happy and not akumatied!" Marinette roared, "Her lies aren't hurting anyone, they're hurting me Adrien, me! and you don't seem to fucking care! since you're so interested in Lila's happiness, you can have her, Don't Call, Text, or even speak to me, i hope you and Lila have a wonderfull life together!" Marinette said as she hung up the phone.
She then spent the next hour, destroying ever photo she had of her friends, she then destroyed her scheduling board with Adrien, as far as she was concerned, she was through with him!
And to make matters worse, the Carolers outside were louder than ever, she stormed outside, shook her fists and roared:
"WILL YOU LOT SHUT UP? that song is getting fucking old!" she yelled as she returned to her room, Tikki was frightened, her chosen was never this furious...
Just then, an Akuma fluttered by and landed on the bracelet Adrien gave her.
"Humbug, i am Hawkmoth, everyone is enjoying the holidays except you, well, i'm giving you the power to ruin Christmas for those who ruined yours, all i ask in return is Ladybug and Cat Noir's miraculous..." he cooed.
"Fine by me!" she said, Tikki, thinking fast removed Marinettes earings just before Marinette was consumed.
When the black mist faded, an inhuman creature stood where Marinette was, she wore dark blue, insect-like armor, had four arms, the upper 2 arms bore light blue gauntlets, her skin was Cyan, with claws on the lower 2 arms, she wore purple skintight pants with a red sash, her feet were insect-like talons, to complete the look, her mask was demonic, sporting four eyes instead of 2.
Marinette was gone, the Christmas-hating Villan, Humbug was born!
Agreste Manor...
Hawkmoth was ecstatic, he had done it, he had finally Akumatised Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Lila had played her part well.
"Nathalie, remind me to reward Ms. Rossi when i have the chance, she had given me the greatest gift a villan could ask for!" Hawkmoth cackled.
Nathalie however was saddened, a young girl had to be akumatised on christmas eve...
In Adrien's room, Plagg was not amused at Adrien's actions...
"You reallly fucked up this time kid, do you honestly think Pigtails is gonna stay silent forever?" he asked.
"No worries Plagg, Marinette is strong, she can endure this." said Adrien.
"No, she can't..." a familiar voice said.
Plagg looked to find Tikki sitting on Adrien's lap, she was not happy.
"Sugarcube, listen, i tried to make him see reason..." Plagg explained.
"YOU DIDN'T TRY HARD ENOUGH!" she roared in an booming voice, making Adrien remember that Tikki and Plagg were gods.
"And now, because of your chosen's selfishness and neglect, My Ladybug, possibly the best bug i've ever had, has been Akumatised!"
It only took Adrien minutes to put two and two together...
Marintte was Ladybug.
Marinette was Akumtized
Ladybug was Akumatized
And it was all his Fault...
"What Have i done..." he whispered.
Meanwhile...
Juleka, Luka, Rose, Chloe and Sabrina were closely following Humbug...
Flashback: 1 hour ago.
Juleka, Rose, Luka, Chloe and Sabrina all decided to visit Marinette and spend chrismas with her.
"I cannot believe Nino wouldn't invite Mari to his party!" Luka said.
"You mean you can't believe ALYA didn't invite Mari to his part, face it, Nino is practicly Alya's bitch." Chloe snarled.
"Chloe!" said Rose.
"Sorry Rose, but we all know Marinette, in the state she is right now, being alone is the last thing she needs!" Chloe said, "After what happened with Kagami's Christmas present, she's practicaly an Akuma magnet!"
As the group said hi to Tom and Sabine, they went upstairs, only to find that they were too late!
Chloe was the first to see Marinette's transformation into Humbug!
She closed the door, fighting the urge to scream with all of her might.
End of Flashback.
"The Worst Possible thing has happened, Marinette Dupain-Cheng has been Akumatised!" said Chloe.
"And on Chrismas Eve no less." said Luka, we gotta get to Nino's it's the first place she'll go." said Luka.
"Lucky for us, she's easy to find, just follow the carnage!" said Juleka.
It was true, every where Humbug went, Anything christmas related was destroyed, Chrismas Trees were burned down, Snowmen were melted, Gingerbread Cookies burst into flames, Presents melted into a black, foul-smelling jelly!
Nino's Place...
Everyone was having a wonderful time, everyone except the man himself.
"Babe, what's wrong?" Alya asked, she was wearing a red santa mini-tee and red skintight pants, but even that wasn't enough to lift his spirits.
"We should have invited Marinette, to hell with Lila and her needs!" he growled.
"Look babe, it's for her own good, if she's gonna cause trouble, she's better off at her place, besides, it's not like she'll be lonely, she's got her folks, Juleka, Rose, Sabrina, and Chloe for some reason." Alya said.
Just then, as if on cue, the aformentioned kids bust through the door!
"What the Hell?" asked Alya.
"Congratulations Cesaire, you and that spinless bastard Adrien had oficially broken the sweetest girl in the whole damn planet!" Chloe snapped, "an Akumatized Marinette is on her way right now!"
Everyone stopped what they were doing, when they heard that, Lila smiled slightly.
"So, Hawkmoth got what he wanted..." she thought.
"You're not joking...are you?" asked Nino.
"i wish she was..." said Luka.
Just then, Humbug crashed into the house, a wicked smile on her face.
"Well, aren't we having a wonderfull time..." she hissed.
"Oh sweet fuck, what have we done..." squeaked Alix, Kim slowly backed away only for Humbug to grab him by the neck, she then used her other arm to grab Alya!
"You two, destroyed my present for Kagami! do you know how much money i sank into making it, of course you wouldn't, you're just sheep, Lila's Sheep, you took away my Christmas spirit, so now i'll take yours!" Humbug said.
Her hands glowed an demonic red as she laughed like a possessed maniac.
Alya and Kim screamed as the color was literaly sucked right out of them!
She then placed them down as they just stood there, not saying a word, unable to feel joy or good cheer, they were just sad, lifeless dolls.
Panicking in fear, the partygoers all ran for their lives! Lila included!
Humbug then turned her attention to Nino, who was secconds away from pissing himself.
She grabbed him by the collar, "Mari wait, i'm sorry i didn't stop them, i'm sorry i didn't invite you Alya said it would be a bad idea."
"And you listened to her? you'd sell out your childhood friend just to get laid?" screemed Humbug, but before she could drain the life out of Nino...
"You don't wanna do that Princess..."
Humbug turned to find Cat Noir, Staff at the ready, "Marinette, i know your upset, the people you care about screwed you over too many times, I screwed you over too many times, i was supposed to protect you, and i failed, don't punish them for this, punish me instead, Plagg, Claws In!"
With a flash of green light, Adrien stood in Cat Noir's place.
"I thought that you could handle what Lila did you, that you were strong..." Adrien said.
"Wait, you KNEW?" growled Luka
"Yes, i did, but i told her not to expose Lila, as it would get Lila Akumatised." Adrien explained.
"MARINETTE IS AKUMATISED! YOU BASTARD!" Roared Sabrina, Chloe stepped back to let her girl vent, "Body armor can protect cops from bullets, that dosen't mean they're invincible! We all have breaking points, and Mari reached hers a long time ago!"
"I know Sabrina..." said Adrien.
"No...you don't Agreste, do you have any idea how fucked up Mari's life has become ever since Lila came along, she doesn't smile anymore, she slinks into the shadows, this was just like when Chloe started bullying her." Juleka said, "No one wanted to help her, she had almost comited suicide!
Adrien gasped, he didn't know that...
Sabrina, then approached Humbug, "Adrien may not understand what you went through but i do, Merry Christmas, Marinette!"
She then enveloped Humbug in a tight embrace, Luka followed suit, then Chloe, then Rose, then Juleka, and Finaly Nino.
And then a Miracle happened...
In his Lair, Hawkmoth was in absolute agony!
All that Love, kindness and affection was like poison to him! his hold on Marinette was weakening..
"No! i can't lose her, i WON'T!" Hawk called upon all his strengh, but it wasn't enough, the joy and goodwill of the season was too much for him, forcing him to de-transform!
Within moments, as the light faded, Marinette stood where Humbug was.
The Akuma fluttered for it's life, only for Tikki to catch it and purify it.
"You caused enough trouble, Hawkmoth, this is the first and last time you ever harm my chosen!" she said as the Butterfly flew away.
The Next Morning, Marinette awoke with a cutesy yawn, she felt...good, like she just gotten the best sleep of her life, then she remembered being Humbug and shuddered.
"Tikki?" asked Marinette.
The tiny god fluttered by, "Yes Marinette?"
"Was that what being Akumatized was like?" she asked.
Tikki nodded.
"It's weird, i remeber attacking Nino, i remember Adrien revealing himself as Cat Noir, but i don't remember anything else." she said.
"Maybe it's for the best, now come on, your friends are waiting for you downstairs..." Tikki said.
"Thanks Tikki, but you know, i could have sworn i'd forgotten somthing..." Marinette said.
Hospital...
Both Alya and Kim' Parents were trying to rack their brains and what had happened to their children.
Because Tikki can't use the Miraculous Cure without Marinette, the Effects of Humbug, were still in effect, Kim and Alya were basicly colorless zombies...
"I hate my life..." said Alya
"I hate your life more..." said Kim.
