Chapter 14: Heat
Kyoto, Japan, Yasaka's Palace
A few days have passed since Yasaka and Keith managed to defeat Garm. When they returned, the young man was immediately bombarded with hugs and questions by both Kunou and Kuroka. Neither of them had any problems with Rossweisse joining them for a while.
"In order to use Vanir magic, you need to concentrate." Rossweisse said. She was currently showing Kunou and Kuroka how the Norse magic worked. "The secret is to be in perfect harmony with the nature." She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, slowly inhaling and exhaling.
She then opened her eyes and outstretched her hand. Vines shot out of the ground, ready to entangle whoever would have been their target.
"It looks kinda like Senjutsu, nya." Kuroka noted. "Using it, I am able to control the life energy in living beings, including nature, nya." She demonstrated by touching the ground and a few flowers bloomed. "But I doubt I can do what you just did, nya."
"Oh, interesting." The silver haired woman said. "I do not know much about Senjutsu I am afraid, but it will definitely help you learn Vanir magic if you decide to."
"Do you use Senjutsu as well?" She turned to Kunou.
"Nope." She shook her head. "I mostly use my fox fire." She emphasized by willing a flame to manifest in her hand.
"I see. Well then, try it you two."
The two Youkais followed her instructions: they closed their eyes and took deep breaths. Being their first time doing this, they needed to start slowly and calmly by meditating for a few minutes first.
"It is a while since I have seen Vanir magic." Hokori said as he dodged an incoming spear thrust.
"You've met Norse Gods before?" Keith asked as he used the True Longinus to parry a slash from the wolf Youkai.
The two were sparring at a distance, occasionally watching what Kunou, Kuroka and Rossweisse were doing.
"Long ago, yes." Hokori poured his magic into his spear and shot out a beam of cursed energy towards Keith.
Seeing the incoming projectile, the young man used his speed to dodge it, seemingly vanishing, then reappearing near the wolf. With a cry, he swung the True Longinus with the intent to strike down Hokori.
"You are getting faster." He noted as he grabbed Keith's spear with one of his tails, disarming him quickly, eliciting a surprised 'what' from the human. He grabbed him by the face and slammed him on the ground with such force that the ground cracked slightly.
"But not fast enough." He let a small smirk grace his face.
With a groan, Keith turned to his side, attempting to get up.
"Did you have to do that?" He asked, annoyed that he forgot to watch out for the wolf's tails.
'Man this ain't fair.' He complained in his head.
"There are advantages and disadvantages on the battlefield." Hokori shrugged. "You are disarmed." He stabbed the True Longinus into the ground. "What are you going to do now?"
Letting a grin plaster on his face, Keith held out his hand and the spear began to slowly budge out of the ground, then to immediately return to its owner's hand.
"Right. I forgot you could do that." The wolf said dryly. Without wasting a moment, he dashed forward and began a succession of fast swings. Keith managed to block or parry most of them, but one landed on him, cutting on his shoulder making him hiss in pain.
The young man jumped backwards to create some space between himself and the Youkai. He then poured some magic into the True Longinus and hit the ground with the butt of the shaft. Instantly, spears made out of holy energy surrounded Hokori. With a motion from Keith, they thrusted forward with the intention to impale the Youkai.
Seeing the incoming spears, Hokori jumped but was surprised to see the spears follow after him.
"Oh? That's new." He muttered, then ducked his head to dodge a spear. He grabbed another spear, hissing slightly at the pang of pain he was feeling, and crushed it in his hand. Having enough, he did a 360 move and managed to shatter the rest of them. As soon as he returned on the ground, he had to block Keith's swing, then in a fast move, he hit the young man in the stomach using the pole of his spear.
Keith fell on the ground, groaning and holding his aching stomach, the True Longinus disappearing.
"Hm. You fought well." Hokori praised. "But you still have much to learn." He offered the human a hand, which he accepted.
"Thanks." He said.
"Impressive as always Kei-kun!" He heard Kunou exclaim. When he turned, he saw Kunou, Kuroka and surprisingly Rossweise watching him. The latter was eyeing him with quite the interest.
"I am sure something else that you possess is really impressive as well, nya." He stiffened when a pair of arms entangled around his neck. "Care to show me, nya?" Kuroka purred in his ear lustfully, pushing her breasts against his back.
"Such i-indecent b-behaviour." The Valkyrie muttered with bit red cheeks, yet she didn't look away.
"Kuroka-chan!" Kunou whined as she immediately began to push the horny cat away from her Keith, only to grab his arm and sandwich it between her own ample bosom.
Keith noticed her hold was tighter than usual and he could have sworn he heard a small growl coming out of her.
'I must be hearing things.' He reasoned in his head. He then grunted when the hold was becoming a bit too tight.
"Uh, Kunou, my arm starts to hurt."
"Huh?" She turned to him, then looked at his sandwiched arm. With a blush she let go of him and flailed her arms.
"I am sorry Kei-kun! I didn't mean to hurt you, I swear!"
"Hey, hey, no problem really." He tried to calm her down. "See?" He showed her his arm. "Nothing bad happened."
"Sorry." She mumbled again with a frown.
"Kunou." She let out a surprised yelp when he grabbed her by the shoulders. "As I said, nothing bad happened." He offered her a smile. "I may be human, but I am not that weak. Well, not anymore at least." He chuckled.
She looked at him for a moment, then let a smile appear on her face.
"If you say so."
He nodded at her, letting go of her shoulders.
"Training is done for today." Hokori announced. "You are free for the rest of the day Keith." The wolf then left.
"Do you two want to return to our Vanir magic lesson?" Rossweisse asked, eyeing the two Youkai.
"Sure, nya." Kuroka shrugged. She didn't have anything else planned for today, so she may as well learn something new.
"Kunou-san?" The Valkyrie looked at the fox.
"Okay." The kitsune nodded. "Do you want to join us Kei-kun?"
He shook his head. "Sorry, but I need to talk something with Yasaka."
"About what?"
"Secret." He winked at her. "Well then, see you three later."
Kunou huffed, watching his retreating form, narrowing her eyes slightly and tightening her hands into fists.
"You okay, nya?" Kuroka grabbed her shoulder gently. She could smell the pheromones she was exuding a few minutes ago.
"Huh?"
"Yeah, you looked slightly…fixed on the door Keith-san left." Rossweisse said.
"Uh, yeah I am fine." She smiled. "Let us continue our training."
"Are you sure, nya?" Kuroka asked. "Aren't we close to, you know, that tine of the year, nya?"
Kunou blushed deeply.
"N-No!" She stuttered. "It should be the next month."
"Kunou-chan-"
"Look, let's just not talk about this anymore, alright?" She huffed.
"Fine, nya." Kuroka looked at Rossweisse who was slightly confused. "Nothing important Rose-chan."
"If you say so…" She trailed off.
After he took a shower, Keith made his way towards Yasaka's meeting room. When he entered the room, he saw Yasaka sitting at a table and drinking tea.
"Ah, I hope your training went well Kei-kun." She said with a radiant smile. "Please, take a seat. Tea?"
"Of course, thank you Yasaka." He smiled back, taking the cup and tasting the tea. "Amazing as always." He let out a contented sigh.
"Ufufu, why thank you." She giggled. "Now, you wanted to talk with me?"
He nodded, but remained silent, looking into his cup of tea.
"Kuroka opened up to me about her past." He then spoke.
"I see." Yasaka became more serious. "What did she tell you?"
"Everything." He said. "From what her master was doing, to her being forced to leave the Underworld."
"And what do you think about it?" She inquired, not because she didn't trust him, but because she wanted to hear his thoughts on it.
"I believe she was wronged and kept away from her sister for no reason at all. She only tried to protect her."
The fox hummed, rubbing her chin softly.
"You want to help her." She stated.
"Yes, I do."
"You do know that there is no way for you to enter the realm of the Devils, correct?" She asked seriously. "Not to mention that they wouldn't listen to a human. Most Devils see themselves above humans after all."
"There is always a way and I do not care what they think of me. It's not like I will go and argue with them."
"Oh? Then what do you plan on doing?"
He put his cup on the table and looked at Yasaka with the most serious face she had ever seen him do. She would've blushed if she didn't control herself.
'Oh Gods, how come he is so hot when he looks like that?!' She thought. 'It makes me want to grab him and-' She stopped those perverted, yet hot scenes from playing in her mind. Now was not the time for that.
"I merely want to go and investigate the place where Kuroka's master did the experiments."
"I-I see." She coughed in her fist. "Are you sure about this?"
He thought about it for a few moments before nodding resolutely.
With a sigh, Yasaka got up from her chair and moved towards him.
"Kunou-chan and Kuroka-chan won't like this, you know?" She grabbed his hand tenderly. "I don't really like it either."
"I know, but I promised to her that I will help her out." He smiled at her. "I will try my best to be as stealthy as possible."
Yasaka looked in his grey eyes with her yellow ones, then giggled.
"I should have expected this to happen." She leaned forward and kissed him lovingly on the forehead, then on his cheek close to his lips, making him blush.
"Uh, Yasaka?" He asked unsure.
"Hm? Oh did you want them to be on the lips?" She teased with a foxy grin. "It can happen." She slowly leaned towards his lips, making him widen his eyes, only for her to change direction towards his ear. "Just say the words." She whispered seductively.
When she moved away from him, she began laughing seeing him gaping like a fish, along with blood red cheeks.
He took a couple of deep breaths to calm himself.
"Are you sure Kuroka isn't your daughter?" He asked dryly.
'What was that?'
"Ufufu." She merely giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. She then moved behind him, draping her arms around his neck, resting her chin on his shoulder. "No matter what I say, you are still going to do it?"
"I am afraid yes."
Sighing, she let go of him and picked up a necklace from her desk. "This will hide your presence and aura from any Devil lower than Ultimate class." She handed it to him, then she gave him a flyer with weird inscriptions on it. "And this will get you in the Familiar forest."
"Familiar forest?" He asked, looking at the flyer.
"It is a place where Devils often go to get their Familiars." Yasaka explained. "It is exclusive to Devils."
"Then how do you have this?" He raised the flyer.
"Let's just say that a certain Satan who loves dressing up as a magical girl owed me a favour." She smiled at him.
"Uh…what?" He tilted his head in confusion. Magical girl? The hell are the Satans like?
"It isn't important right now." She said.
"Right…May I ask why do I have to go in this Familiar forest?"
"Simply put: it is the only way you can reach the Underworld because I do not have the means to get you directly." She told him. "Besides, it is easier for you to not be detected."
"I see." He nodded.
"When do you plan on leaving?"
"In a few days."
"Oh? I thought, after the way you spoke, that you were going as soon as possible."
"I am working on a new ability actually and I am positive that I will be able to get it done very soon." He informed her.
"Hokori told me about your other ability you created." She looked proudly at him. "Good job. Did you give it a name?"
"Uh, not really." He rubbed his head sheepishly. "I am bad at naming things."
"Show it to me."
"What?" He inquired.
Without replying, she snapped her fingers and in an instant the two were in a void-like dimension.
"Show your ability to me. I will help you name it." She smiled at him. "Aim it at me."
"I am not sure that-"
"Don't worry Kei-kun." She said. "You are not going to hurt me."
He looked at her for a moment, then he summoned the True Longinus. Holding it tightly, he poured some magic into it, hit the ground with the butt of the shaft and instantly spears of light manifested around Yasaka. She looked intrigued then quickly shielded herself with a barrier when the spears thrusted forward with the intent to impale her.
"Hmm." She hummed thoughtfully after the spears dissipated. "What about Light Arsenal?"
"Light Arsenal huh?" He rubbed his chin. "Doesn't sound bad. Good name, I like it." He nodded
Yasaka let out a small blush to decorate her cheeks and smiled brightly.
"It was my pleasure." She snapped her fingers and the two returned in her meeting room.
"Thank you a lot Yasaka." He grinned in appreciation at her. "If you ever need my help, with anything, do not hesitate to ask me."
"Of course." She said.
"Well then, I will see you later." He turned to her door, but stopped when she began to talk again.
"Oh I almost forgot to tell you." Her face then grew serious again. "Did…did Kunou-chan behave in any weird way today?"
"What do you mean?" He asked confused.
"Like, did she have any mood swings or did she behave differently around you?"
He narrowed his eyebrows in thought, then responded.
"She just hugged my arm a little too tight today, that is all."
"I see." The fox sighed. She wanted to tell him about her heat coming soon, but bit her lip and decided against it. It was a touchy subject for Youkais and didn't know how to explain it to him without him reacting badly.
"Okay…?" He didn't understand what she meant, but didn't want to pry so he just said 'goodbye' and left, Yasaka returning it.
"I just hope things will not escalate." The fox mumbled after Keith left.
Oh how wrong she would come to be.
Kunou's heat period hit her hard. She could barely concentrate in her training with Rossweisse because if she merely gazed at Keith or inhaled his scent, she would feel intense desires to mate with him. She was so close to tie him up and take him to her room and have her way with him, however she managed to suppress these urges, if only barely.
She almost killed a bunny Youkai when she saw her flirt with Keith the other day. They were in the dining room and he was getting his food. Then all hell let loose. This whore of a bunny Youkai began to flirt with him and show off her curves right in front of her! She resisted the urge to go there and rip her head off. Oh how she wished she could!
Now she was sitting in her room curled up in a ball, her hair was a mess, along with her tails. Her eyes were kept shut and if one stopped to hear closely, they could hear growling. Her nails became longer as she got up and began to scratch and cut the pillows and the walls of her room.
For his part Keith noticed that Kunou wasn't herself. Why, you may ask? Well, because she barely talked with him and usually when he wanted to approach her, she would act cold and immediately go around him and leave. He didn't know what it was, but it bothered him because he could see she was hurting.
Was it something he did or say? He was currently in Yasaka's garden, enjoying the peace and quiet. He then began to think if he did anything to upset Kunou. He was so concentrated that he didn't sense the two people coming towards him.
"Keeei-kun! What are you doing here, nya?" Kuroka made herself know when she hugged him from behind and squished her breasts against his back, eliciting a surprised yelp from him.
Before he could say something, someone else did.
"Kuroka-san!" Rossweisse groaned, a blush slowly appearing on her face.
"Hm? Is something the matter Rose-chan?" She asked innocently.
"These acts are meant only for c-c-c-ouples!" She stuttered.
"Oh? And who says Kei-kun and I aren't a couple, nya?" Kuroka grinned toothily.
"W-What?" The Valkyrie narrowed her eyes ever so slightly. "You are not."
"Are you getting jealous, nya?" The Nekoshou teased.
"J-Jealous?" The Valkyrie snorted in derision. "Why would I be jealous?"
"Well, you're 20 and never had a boyfriend, nya."
"So are you!" Rossweise shouted in embarrassment.
"I have my eyes on someone, nya." The Cat said cryptically.
"How are you two today?" Keith asked before the two could begin another argument.
"Better now that I have found you, nya." Kuroka affectionately rubbed her cheek against his.
"The day has been good so far." The silver haired Valkyrie said.
"Say…did you two notice something different about Kunou these past days?" He inquired.
Rossweisse merely nodded while Kuroka stopped her affections.
"Rose-chan may you give me and Kei-kun a bit of alone time please, nya?" Both the human and the demi-goddess were surprised at the serious face she was showing right now. "I promise to let you in on what we talked about later, nya."
"Of course." She turned around and left without complaints.
"Kei-kun." Kuroka was still hugging him. "Did Yasaka-sama tell you about the Youkais' mating season?"
"No." He shook his head.
"The mating season is a time period of about a week, or more in rare cases, in which our urges to mate are at the strongest. We feel extreme lust and our carnal desires can take a hold of us if we are not careful, nya."
It didn't take Keith long to piece the puzzle together.
"So Kunou is in her mating season."
"Yes." Kuroka let go of him and got up. "However, she does not only experience lust, but also pain right now, nya."
"What? Why?" He asked.
"Because she has a potential mate in mind, nya." Kuroka began. "Thus, she fights her urges to not go wild and force herself on him. Had she not had one, then it would have been easier for her to resist them, nya."
Keith absorbed the information and remained silent for a moment.
"Can I help somehow?"
Kuroka took his cheeks in her palms and smiled.
"You can actually, nya." She giggled. "I will tell you a secret alright, nya?"
He nodded.
"The mate Kunou-chan has in mind." She stopped for dramatic effect. "Is no one other than you silly, nya."
If Keith's eyes could become any wider, they would pop out of their sockets.
"I promised her that I will not tell you, because she wanted to be the one to do so, but everything escalated into this so I have no choice, nya."
"I…I didn't know…I…" He trailed off. "I did this to her?"
"Don't blame yourself Kei-kun." Kuroka told him gently. "What do you think now that I have told you that, nya?"
"I…I have to see her." He said.
"Are you sure, nya?" She asked. "She might be violent, nya."
He got up and smiled at her.
"I am willing to take the risk." He surprised Kuroka by pulling her into a hug. "Thank you for telling me Kuroka."
"O-Of course, nya!" She cursed her stutter.
"See you later."
With that he left the Nekoshou alone.
"Will you help me out with my mating season too, nya?" She said after he left. She of course felt jealous that Kunou was going to probably mark him first….BUT! She won't lose! She will have Keith as her mate, one way or another. With new found determination, she grinned and left to find Rossweisse.
Keith usually was a calm and reasonable person, but right now he was panting and the nervousness was killing him. He was currently standing in front of Kunou's room and could hear the faint growling from the inside.
'Come on dumbass! You were stupid enough not to notice she liked you! Now be a man and go in there. She's just a girl, stronger than you, faster and probably smarter, who could rip you in two with barely raising two fingers, but still a girl.' He slapped his face with his palms to make himself not think about that.
"Ah fuck it. What's the worst that could happen?" Oh how would he come to regret these words. Or would he?
He steeled himself, took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Instantly, the growling stopped.
"Kunou?" He asked, still outside the door. "Are you okay? Can I come in?" He didn't receive an answer.
He barely pushed the door and it opened with a creak.
'What is this, a horror film?' He asked himself. He slowly made his way inside. Immediately his eyes widened on seeing the claw marks on the walls and bed.
He looked around the room but didn't see anyone, then the door shut itself with a loud sound. Before he could do something, he was grabbed and violently pushed against a wall.
"Kunou?" He groaned as the person in front of him held both of his arms by their wrists above his head.
"Oh my, my." Her voice sounded different. "What do we have here?" More dominant.
He, in all honesty, felt a bit scared right now. Taking in her appearance, her hair was a mess, her nails lengthened and her eyes were glowing a ominous yellow. She also had a predatory look on her face which didn't reassure him at all.
"What a cute little morsel I caught." She leaned towards his neck and took a sniff. She instantly snarled. "Why do I smell cat on you?" She narrowed her eyes dangerously and gritted her teeth.
"Ah! Eh! Y-You see, funny t-thing really." He began, stuttering.
"Doesn't matter." She dismissed him, keeping both of his wrists trapped in one of her hands. She caressed his cheek with her free hand. "You are finally mine. All mine. Mine. Mine." She kept repeating it like some sort of mantra. He surely didn't like her crazed look either. He then gasped when she moved her hand away from his cheek and began to rub his groin.
"Such a fun night will we have darling." She grinned, then without warning, she stole his lips, kissing him deeply. Seeing he was somewhat resisting, Kunou grabbed his groin making him open his mouth allowing her tongue entrance. Their tongue immediately began a fight for dominance. She enjoyed watching him squirm in pleasure under her grasp. The two then separated due to the need to breath, but Kunou immediately resumed her 'assault', kissing and licking his neck.
"Now, let's begin our adventurous night!" She exclaimed in delight, then began to tug at his pants.
He knew he needed to do something and fast.
"Enough!" He pushed her off him. He was surprised he managed to do so. She probably wasn't expecting him to fight back. "Kunou, this isn't you. You need to fight it." He said.
"Fight it?" She laughed, the sound sending a shiver down Keith's spine. "Fight what? I am feeling great!" She walked a few steps back and took a stance, then she pounced.
Thanks to his training, Keith managed to dodge her, if only barely, then grabbed her in a hug from the back.
"I am sorry." He said, stopping her struggling.
"You are sorry? What for?" She asked.
"I am sorry because I was a blind fool and didn't see your feelings for me sooner. Had I seen them, you wouldn't have had to suffer right now." He added. "I…I didn't know about Youkais' mating season. Kuroka told me about it earlier and as soon as I heard, I rushed here."
"Y-You rushed here…to me?" She asked softly. Her voice began to lose its dominant tone.
"Yes. She also told me that you chose me as your mate." At his words, her cheeks immediately turned red.
"W-What? I-I will kill her!"
"Unlikely." He chuckled.
"So?" Her eyes were hidden by her hair. "What do you think about it?"
He remained silent for a few moments, Kunou believing that he was going to reject her. She prepared herself, however she didn't know what she will do if he did so.
He then began.
"You are an amazing person Kunou." He kissed the back of her head. "Always doing your best, always smiling, always helping others and always being ever so gentle. Don't even make me start on how beautiful, charming and lovely you are. I honestly don't understand what you saw in a nobody like me, but I am very flattered." He let go of her and she shyly turned to him, her glowing eyes and claws disappearing.
He offered her a gentle, warm and meaningful smile which instantly melted her. He then grabbed her hand and placed tender kisses on the back of it.
"I am not really good with words, but let me just say that it would be my honour to be your uh, er…mate." He chuckled. "That is if you still-" He didn't get to finish when a blonde missile sent both of them on the ground.
"Yes, yes, yes." Kunou hugged him tightly, as if afraid that he would disappear. They stood like that for a while, she rested her head on his chest, listening to his heart beating, while he gently caressed her head.
"Thank you for accepting my feelings Kei-kun." Kunou said.
"No…thank you for dealing with me. It is my fault things turned out this way." His face showed guilt.
"I don't blame you." She cupped his cheeks. "Had I not been a coward and told you how I felt from the beginning, nothing of this should have happened in the first place." She then kissed him tenderly, her tails wagging when he returned the kiss.
"So uh…what now?" He asked after they parted lips.
Kunou instantly gained a mischievous smile. Without warning, she bit on his neck.
"Ow!" He yelped. "What did you do that for?"
"Hehe, sorry." She stuck out her tongue at him. "Now you are rightfully mine." She nodded in satisfaction when she saw the sigil of a fox appear on the place where she bit him.
"Did you mark me?" He raised an eyebrow.
Taking this as a bad sign, Kunou began to worry.
"Did you not want me to?" She asked.
"Ah, no, not that, but it would have been appreciated if you warned me first." He laughed. "I do not feel different though."
"You are not supposed to silly." She giggled. "Our marks don't offer anything besides showing others that you are someone's mate already."
"Oh. So it is not like in films where if someone is marked with something, they gain powers or some shit."
"Nope." She then leaned her face closer to his, a seductive smile and a blush on it. "Anyway, now that you are mine, what do you say we take it up a notch and have some fun."
"Huh?" He blushed as well. "I…I don't know…I would like our first time to be special and not because you feel controlled by your heat."
"I am not Kei-kun." She kissed the top of his head. "It's just…" Her blushed intensified and she began to play with a strand of her hair.
"Just?"
She closed her eyes tightly and pressed her lips together, then exclaimed.
"I am horny alright?!" She covered her face in embarrassment. "I spent a whole week fighting my urges and now that I finally have you here I want to…do…stuff."
Keith blinked a few times, then began to chuckle.
"Hey! Don't laugh at me." Kunou whined, slapping his shoulder. "Besides, I can feel your desire as well."
He stopped and looked at her.
With a sigh, he nodded.
"Very well. However, I warn you. I've never been in a relationship before so I have no idea what I am supposed to do."
"Me neither, but we'll learn together." She smiled.
The two got on the bed, not minding the state it was in and looked at each other.
"I am happy you were the one that I saved from that Stray that night." She said as she hugged him.
"And I am happy you were the one who came to my rescue." He said as he returned the hug. Slowly the two began to make out, kissing each, then Kunou grabbed Keith's hand and led it to her breasts. She moaned when his hand began to grope her. The two started to undress, Kunou helping him take off his shirt while he undid her kimono. Soon both were in their underwear, gazing at one another's bodies. Kunou took off her bra, showing off her big, round and perky breasts in all their glory.

Thankfully, Kunou managed to place a silencing spell around the room so people wouldn't hear them having their fun.
When the next day came, Keith woke up tired. Funny right? Why, you may ask? Well…He clearly did not expect the…energy a Youkai had in bed. They were at it for a while and he honestly was very surprised on how he was not dead. He thought that after the third time, they would finally go to bed…Ha! Kunou didn't allow it even in the slightest. He was feeling like he could sleep for an eternity really.
"Good morning Kei-kun!" Kunou greeted, then snuggled close to him.
With a groan, he greeted back.
"Are you okay?"
"I barely got to sleep last night. What do you think?" He asked, but his tone held no ill intent. He didn't really mind.
"Hehe…sorry." The fox giggled cutely as she hid her face in the crook of his neck.
With a sigh, he moved his hand and patted her head.
"Don't worry about it. Honestly, I wasn't expecting you to have so much…uh…stamina."
"Well, in our mating season, we gain a burst of stamina so we could mate as long as possible. It is the only season when we are able to get pregnant after all." She blushed.
"I see." His cheeks were faintly red as well. "Anyway, we should probably get up."
"Noooo." The kitsune whined. "Don't wanna." She hugged him tightly, using her tails to constrict his legs and arms.
"Kunou…can't…breath…"
"Ah! Sorry." She lessened her hold on him, but didn't let go. "Let's just stay like this for a little while longer please." She pulled off a devastating weapon known to mankind as the puppy dog eyes.
Keith recoiled in his destroyed pillow and tried to resist it, but ultimately failed.
"Fine."
"You want to go where?"
Currently, Keith was in Yasaka's room together with her, Kunou, Rossweisse and Kuroka.
"I think I didn't hear you correctly." His new girlfriend was frowning at him.
"I know it can be risky…but I also know that I can pull it off. Probably." He whispered the last word.
"Probably?" She was looking incredulously at him. "Mom, tell him he can't go. It's way too dangerous.
Yasaka just sighed. While she agreed with her daughter, she believed in Keith.
"I know Kunou-chan, but I already gave him what he needs to get into the Familiar forest."
"What?!" She screeched.
"You're not going Kei-kun, nya." Kuroka intervened. "I am not worth it for you to go in the Underworld, nya."
He smiled at her.
"You are worth it. More than you know. And besides, I have already promised you that I will help you out.
She bit her lip in worry. "I know you did, but what if something bad happens?"
"I will be extra careful." He gave her a grin.
"You are not going." Kunou said with finality. "I just got you as my mate. I don't want you to die."
"I will not die Kunou." He told her gently. "I promise, no, I swear to you that I will come back."
Taking a deep breath, she cupped his cheeks.
"You would have gone even if I forbade you." She said knowingly. He nodded, his cheeks still cupped in her hands. "Very well then, but if you do not return to me, I will personally learn dark magic and bring you to life, only to kill you again, are we clear?"
He gulped at the seriousness in her tone, but nodded again.
"Good."
Keith was then engulfed in a hug, his head resting on a pair of huge mounds.
"Thank you so much Kei-kun, nya." Kuroka said softly. "I don't know how I could repay you for doing this, but I will find a way. I promise, nya."
He chuckled. "No need for that Kuroka. I do it because I want to."
"But-"
"No buts." He patted her head.
"I am ready." He said after she let go of him.
Rossweisse, who was silent until now, approached him.
"Take this Keith-san." She handed him a rune.
"Huh? What's this?" He looked curiously at it.
"In case you find yourself in a very dangerous situation, just say hverfa aptr and the rune will get you back here."
"Woah." He marvelled at it, then pocketed it. "Thanks a lot Rossweisse!"
She blushed slightly and fumbled.
"N-No p-problem."
Before he could say anything else, he was hugged by Kunou, then her lips were pressed against his.
And what a kiss that was! Unfortunately, the other three women in the room had various, yet similar reactions: Kuroka's eyebrow twitched and she smiled a forced smile, Yasaka, while happy for her daughter, couldn't wash away the jealousy she was feeling. She almost broke the cup of tea she was holding in her hand as well. Rossweisse, while she didn't know Keith for long, she tightened her grip on her kimono in annoyance.
"Be careful." Kunou said after the two parted.
"I always am." He offered her a smile, then turned to the others. "See you guys in a bit, oh and Rossweisse, when I return, you can call me Keith or Kei if you want."
The Valkyrie couldn't stop the smile which appeared on her face.
"I will, only if you call me Rose!" For some reason, she was happy right now.
"Deal." He did a two fingered salute, poured some magic in the flyer Yasaka gave him and vanished away.
The four women stood in silence, looking at the place he teleported away, only for Kuroka to break it.
"So…how big is he, nya?"
"Kuroka-chan!"
A/N: Yoooo…First, I would like to begin by apologizing to you all. This chapter should have been posted faster…I should have not been lazy, but taking into the account that I just finished my exam session last Friday, I honestly wasn't in a mood to write, until now! However, the good news is that I am finally free! Well kind of…I still have my BA Exam on the 5th of July, then the presentation on the 7th. But I am totally freer than I was. So…any opinions on this chapter? I wanted to try my hand at some romance…was it good? Bad? Cringe? Do tell so I know what to improve (hopefully). I ain't good at romance at all but hey, I have nothing to lose by trying right? Anyway I hope you enjoyed this chapter and you may expect the next one soon actually. Initially I wanted to introduce Tiamat in this one as well, but I will keep her for the next one. Also, I apologize if it seems that I use the same kind of start like Keith training and shit. I will try not to in the future chapters lol. And I know I said that I will not name Keith's abilities, but fuck it…it would get confusing for you guys otherwise, so I will force my brain to think of names for abilities xd.
Oh and one more thing! I apologize for not writing a sex scene, but I am not entirely sure I could pull that off right now. Perhaps in the future. I feel like I am not prepared to write one so I would rather not write it at all than to try and make it horrendous.

The myth with Orion also has more versions, like one where he swears he is going to kill all animals on earth to show that he is the best hunter in which Artemis kills him, one where he forces himself on her and she kills him (hence why her hatred towards men) and many more. Also I believe you meant in adding her to my OC's harem in the fanfiction I am planning to write, not Keith's cause Keith is full.

kirosyamcha: I plan to somehow write both: some canon and my own ideas, that's why I didn't even bother to follow the beginning of the canon because it would be overused. I do plan to use some canon episodes soon though. Some examples of canon episodes I will use would be the fight with Kokabiel (I enjoyed it), the peace treaty episode and some others from season 3. Of course it is not everything 100% decided. I hope this answers your questions.
: Thanks mate! Yeah I understand your frustration with unfinished work. My reason on why I would like to start other stories is to not get bored of writing this one and to offer you guys something else to read while you wait for chapters. I promise (and I hope I will be able to keep my promise) that I will keep writing as long as the time allows me. And if I will ever need to stop, I will announce you guys, so don't worry. Also, I do not plan on abandoning stories, unless I fuck up somehow and need to rewrite it (of course if you too guys consider it).
