I own nothing but my OC(s).
Another question! : What other fandoms would you guys be interested in seeing? And/or what crossovers? I am not well versed in almost any of the other popular fandoms on this site, but I am curious to see what you guys think. I will let you know if I am knowledgeable about whatever you say in your comments.
Oh! And I might start to write some oneshots for fun *shrug*, mostly between regular humans and supernatural beings because they are fun imo. If you have a female character in mind, let me know. Also I could also genderbend characters if you so wish, it would also be interesting so yeah. Let me know!
Chapter 20: Battle of Kuoh Part 1
"Where are we supposed to go again, nya?" Kuroka yawned.
She, Kunou and Keith were walking through Kuoh after a…very eventful morning which unfortunately couldn't continue since they had to meet with Rias and the other Devil who was ruling the town together with her.
"We need to talk with the Devils about the incident regarding the Holy Swords." Kunou explained for the third time that day
"I still don't understand how did the Angels manage to lose them, nya." She rubbed one of her eyes. "And why do we need to meet with them this early in the morning, nya!?" She whined.
"Because they asked us to?" Keith cocked an eyebrow. "Besides, it isn't that early. It's only 10 AM."
"Hmph, I was enjoying sleeping peacefully with my mate, nya." She pouted, then her eyes glinted in mischievousness. "Don't tell me you didn't like it, nya." She draped her arms around him, pushing her breasts against his side. She then leaned forward and pecked him on the cheek, eliciting a small blush from him.
Not wanting to be outdone, Kunou embraced his other arm in her cleavage and kissed him as well.
"It isn't a matter of how they lost the swords, but rather who was sneaky enough to steal them." The fox said. "Dare I say that the one who stole them isn't working alone."
"Do you believe the Angels have a traitor among them?" Keith inquired.
"While unlikely…it could be that, or someone who was once familiar with them and knew about Heaven."
"A Fallen." Kuroka pondered. "It has to be a very old one to know about their realm, nya."
"Exactly." Kunou nodded, then her expression darkened. "However, I tend to believe that stealing the swords was just the beginning, a small step if you will."
"Do you have an idea what could be next?" Keith looked at her.
"No…but we need to stay vigilant."
"Aye, aye captain Foxy-chan, nya!" Kuroka saluted playfully, making Kunou roll her eyes, but a small smile graced her lips.
Keith chuckled lightly. The trio then kept walking in comfortable silence until they reached Kuoh Academy. Before the entrance stood two girls, both wearing glasses and the school's uniforms.
The one with the short bob cut hear and violet eyes bowed, the girl next to her following suit after her.
"Welcome to Kuoh, I am Sona Sitri, the next head of the Sitri family." She introduced herself. "This is my Queen, Tsubaki Shinra." She motioned to the girl. "We were informed of your arrival."
"It is a pleasure to meet the princess of Kyoto and the Youkai." She said respectfully, bowing her head slightly at Kunou who blushed lightly.
"Princess huh?" Keith teased the fox.
At this, her blush grew.
"Don't you start!" She threatened, seeing Kuroka's grin.
"Oh don't worry, we won't start anything your majesty, nya." The Nekoshou giggled when Kunou sputtered.
"Please, don't call me princess." The kitsune requested. "Just Kunou will do."
The two Devils looked at one another, then back at their guests.
"Very well Kunou-san." Sona nodded, then kept her eyes on the human. "So you are the holder of the Strongest Longinus?"
"That I am." He smiled and offered her a hand to shake. "Name's Keith Nakamura, nice to meet ya."
Shaking the offered appendage, she turned to Kuroka.
"Congratulations for your win in the case Kuroka-san." She said honestly.
"Thank you So-tan, nya." The name had immediate results as Sona's cheeks reddened.
"Where did you hear that?!" She looked around anxiously as if someone would pop out at any second.
"Oh why from your dear older sister of course, nya." Kuroka said innocently. "She made sure to inform me about her cute little sister while I was with Shirone-chan, nya."
It was visible that even her Queen was trying to stifle her chuckle, if her pursing her lips was anything to go by.
"So, So-tan, are you here to-"
"Don't call me that please!" She interrupted Kuroka from embarrassing her any further. "Tsubaki!" She glared at the laughing Queen, her eyes incredulous at her 'betrayal'.
"I apologise President." Her tone was anything but.
"Now, I believe you were informed about the situation here." Sona regained her composure, her face becoming solemn.
"Yes, my mom told us what happened." Kunou nodded. "Anything else?"
"Heaven will send representatives later today regarding the matter." Sona informed. "Come, Rias and her peerage are waiting in their club room." Without wasting another moment, the five began to move.
"Buchou, we need to find Kiba!" Issei insisted.
"Ise, I would want nothing more than to do that, but right now, there is something else we need to focus on." Rias stated calmly, taking a sip from her tea elegantly.
"She is right Ise-san." A shy voice said, cupping his hand into hers, a small blush adorning on her face. "I believe Yuuto-san will come back soon." She had green eyes and blonde hair.
"But Asia-"
"We have guests." Rias interrupted him.
Right on cue, someone knocked on the door.
"Come in."
The door opened to reveal Sona, Tsubaki and the three members of the Youkai Faction.
"Hello Sona, Tsubaki." Rias greeted, then smiled at the newcomers. "Ah, welcome to our humble town and academy, Keith, Kunou and Kuroka."
"Sup' Keith." Issei waved, and couldn't help but glance at Kunou and Kuroka's bouncing breasts. Thankfully, nobody saw him. Yet.
"I hope your stay here will be pleasant." She added warmly.
"Yo!" Keith raised his hand in greeting.
"Hello Rias." Kunou dipped her head slightly.
"Shirone-chan!" Kuroka all but tackled her little sister on the couch, rubbing her cheek affectionately with her own.
"S-Sister!" Of course, the white haired rook immediately attempted to escape her older sister's clutches. Nonetheless, she failed.
"Please take a seat." Rias said.
While Kuroka was busy smothering her little sister in hugs, Keith and Kunou sat comfortable on one of the couches, looking curiously around the room.
"Ah before we start, let me introduce you to my peerage." Rias then motioned to the busty girl sitting next to her. "This here is Akeno Himejima, my Queen."
"Ufufu, a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She smiled kindly. She had long black hair tied in a ponytail and violet eyes.
"You already know Ise and Koneko." She, then pointed to the girl close to Issei, who was timidly trying to make eye contact. "That over there is Asia Argento, my Bishop."
"H-Hello." She waved shyly.
"Sadly, my Knight is…missing at the moment." She sighed, rubbing her temples.
"Did something happen?" Keith asked. He could see she was in distress, even if she tried to mask it under a professional façade.
"Nothing we cannot handle for now." Her tone was final, giving Issei a look when she saw him open his mouth.
"Now, I believe you were told why you were needed here." Rias said, her face becoming serious.
"We have been briefed." Kunou nodded.
"Do the Angels blame you for the theft?" Keith couldn't help but ask.
"Fortunately, no, however some are of the opinion that we might have helped the Fallen." The heiress' nose scrunched, almost in disgust at the idea.
"So they believe that the Fallen Angels are the culprits." Kunou stated.
"It seems you were right, nya." Kuroka chimed in, looking at the fox. Koneko was currently beet red since she was sitting (forcefully) in her sister's lap.
"Oh? You were suspecting them as well?" This time, the question came from Rias' Queen, whose expression darkened slightly ever since the conversation about the tainted Angels began.
"Somewhat, although not the Grigori." Kunou said.
"What do you mean?" Sona asked, reminding everyone that she was still there. She kept silent all this time because she wanted to hear as much information as possible.
"From what mom told me, Azazel isn't one to wish for war, on the contrary actually. So I believe that they have a rogue among them." The fox informed.
Rias hummed, narrowing her eyes in thought.
"My brother told me that later today some representatives from the church will come to talk with me regarding the stolen swords."
Then a silence fell over the room, until Keith decided to break it.
"We could search around the town for some clues." He turned to Kunou.
"A good start." She nodded. "Come Kuroka-chan."
"Ugh, fiiiiiine!" She pouted. "See you later Shirone-chan, nya!" She kissed her sister on the cheek, making her embarrassment grow.
"Before you leave, here." Rias offered one flyer to each of them. "I will contact you once the guests from the church arrive."
"Keep us posted if you find anything important." Sona requested.
"Of course." Keith bowed and left the Devils to go back to their business, Kunou and Kuroka following after him.
"So, where do we start, nya?" Kuroka asked, stretching.
"It would be better if we split up." Keith said.
"Absolutely not!" At this, both women shouted their disagreement.
"Look, I know it could be dangerous, but that way we could cover more ground." He reasoned.
Kunou and Kuroka looked at one another, not liking the idea one bit, but they knew he was right.
"Besides, I can take care of myself." He added with a confident grin.
"We know you can but…you're still human." Kunou said.
"Oh wow…a bit racist don't you think?" He deadpanned, then laughed when he saw her becoming flustered and starting to wave her hands around, trying to explain to him what she meant.
"I am kidding Kunou." He pecked her on the lips to calm her down. "I know what you mean and thank you." He smiled.
"Hey, don't I get a kiss, nya?!" Kuroka whined with a pout, which quickly turned into a satisfied grin when he kissed her as well.
"I don't like your idea Kei-kun, but I agree it is a good one." Kunou started. "However at the first sign of danger, you teleport away." She said sternly.
"Yes mom." He rolled his eyes.
Bad decision.
As soon as he uttered the words, Kunou immediately grabbed his ear and tugged on it.
"Ow, ow, ow!"
"I am serious." She narrowed her eyes at him, making him nod rapidly. "Good." She had a content look on her face. "Now, I will begin my search in the South of Kuoh."
"I will go East, nya." Kuroka said, giggling seeing Keith's grumpy face.
"I will go look around in the North." He grumbled while massaging his red ear.
Once he reached the North part of Kuoh, Keith began looking around the area, trying to detect anything unusual, until he picked up a trail of Holy energy. It was faint, but not untraceable.
This was the result of his training, even though Hokori was a slave driver when it came to him learning to fight, he didn't exclude teaching him on how to sense different energies. This skill obviously came in handy.
He followed the trail until he reached a big, half destroyed and abandoned church.
"Huh…clearly people hate God here…" He snorted when he saw it. Then he walked inside it and looked around, only to see a big cross with old looking silver chains around it. He inspected it carefully, choosing to stay way from the chains since he could feel a faint energy coming off them.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the Holy energy he felt initially, though he could feel the trail close…very close in fact.
His line of thought was interrupted when he heard a voice.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?"
He turned around to see a young man with white hair and red eyes dressed in clerical clothing, similar to a priest.
Keith's attention was more focused in the glowing sword the man was holding in his hand. It was shaped like a long Kris, the blade having a diamond-shaped gap through it and spikes on both edges.
So this was a Holy Sword…
"Oh? I see you're eyeing my beautiful Excalibur-chan here." The priest said, a crazed look on his face and his lips twisted in a disturbing smile.
"So you are the Holy energy I have been tracing." The black haired human said, narrowing his eyes. "Why do I have a feeling that sword doesn't belong to you?"
"I don't give a shit." The priest sneered. "I hold it, I can wield it, therefore it is mine!"
In an instant, the crazed looking guy jumped and slashed at Keith, only for the blade to be stopped by the True Longinus.
The priest's eyes widened comically, only for his lips then to perform a savage grin.
"So…you're the big shot everyone's been talking about eh?" He asked, pushing against Keith's spear. "I suppose you don't mind me taking this beautiful weapon of yours, do you?"
Keith dashed backwards when the man swung the Excalibur.
"Over my dead body." The young man glared.
"That can be arranged!" The priest exclaimed gleefully. "But before that, let it be known that Freed Sellzen will kill you!"
Not waiting for an answer, Freed vanished from view and reappeared on Keith's side in an attempt to cut him, only for the sword to be stopped by the spear.
Not wanting to offer the crazy guy an advantage, Keith immediately began his offensive, slicing and thrusting, making Freed grunt, then hiss when one of Keith's attacks cut him on his leg.
"You shitty Devil lover!" The priest snarled, then had to quickly dodge as a beam of light shot towards him.
"So you are the one who stole the Holy Swords from the Angels?" Keith asked, ignoring the remark.
"DIE!" Being the mad man that he was, Freed used the Holy Sword in his possession to enhance his speed. "Thanks to my Excalibur Rapidly, you won't know what hit you!" He cackled.
In a burst of speed, Freed dashed forwards in an attempt to stab the Longinus wielder, but to his surprise and horror, Keith kept up with him without breaking a sweat.
"This speed is not yours." The young man answered his unasked question. "While I can admit that your skill with a sword is…decent enough, you do not know how to use the powers from-"
"SHUT UP YOU FILTHY DEVIL WORSHIPER!" The crazed man lunged at him, his attacks becoming less and less coordinated.
Using the spear to defend himself, Keith kept a well trained eye on his opponent.
"I DON'T NEED YOUR 'LESSONS'!" Freed swung his blade and Keith saw this opening. Twirling around it, he used his superior speed and in a fast move, he plunged the True Longinus in Freed's side, making him howl in pain, blood tainting the ground.
The surprise attack made the priest drop the sword on the ground with a loud clang. He then was sent skidding on the ground by a kick from Keith.
Seeing the man before him hurting, he made to pick up the sword, only for the action to be interrupted when he had to dodge an arrow.
"You weak, idiotic mortal!" A masculine voice bellowed, clearly aimed at Feed.
Looking at the new arrival, Keith cursed under his breath when he saw the big bulky man who had a club on his back and a bow in his hand with a quiver at his side. The man had blue eyes and black hair, the deep red tunic he was wearing doing nothing to hide the rows of muscles on him.
Now…this new being worried Keith. Why? Because he could feel the…divine energy he was radiating. He didn't understand how this man could radiate such powerful energy, yet he didn't sense him at all when he barged in.
'Shit, this ain't good.' He cursed in his mind, levelling his spear in the direction of the new enemy.
"You dare point a weapon against me human!?" The man raged. "Me! The great Heracles!"
Masking his shock under a mask of calmness, Keith didn't reply, opting to keep his eyes on the God before him.
"And you." Heracles glared at Freed, who only grunted in pain, blood still gushing out of his wound. "I honestly do not know what that old crow needs you for."
"He cheated!" He whined childishly, pointing towards the True Longinus wielder. "It isn't fair that-"
"SHUT IT!" The God roared, making the church shook slightly.
Deciding to do something stupid and which probably wouldn't work, Keith used his speed to try and reach the Excalibur on the ground.
And as he had feared…it didn't work. Heracles responded as fast, if not faster than him, and punched him in the gut, sending him through a wall and out of the church.
"Pick up the puny sword and disappear." The son of Zeus ordered while making his way outside.
Growling under his breath, Freed got up, his feet shaking, and complied. He grabbed the Excalibur and left via a magic circle.
On his part, Keith grunted and used the Holy Spear to help himself stand on his feet. The punch felt as if he was hit with Thor's hammer. He knew that the comparison was far from the truth since the Norse God's weapon would probably pulverize him without any trace left, but whatever.
"I am honestly disappointed." He saw Heracles standing on a ruin, the bow now being swapped with his other weapon: the club. "The Great Divine Spear of the Christian God to be held in the hands of a pathetic mortal." He shook his head. "Truly a depressing sight."
"Is that so?" Keith asked, ignoring the pain for now. "And what may the honourable Heracles, son of Zeus and Alcmene, be doing with the likes of Freed?"
"Oh? You know about me?"
"The usual stuff everyone would know." The human replied, preparing himself for a fight.
"I couldn't expect anything more." Heracles scoffed. "Your tiny little brain would never be able to understand the feats I have done."
Keith bit back a remark, knowing that if he were to anger the God, he would most likely die.
"Doesn't matter anyway. I should ask you to give me a good fight, but I doubt you could entertain me." The God rolled his shoulders.
Keith tensed, one hand holding the spear, while the other one was clutching the rune Rossweisse gave him.
"May I entertain you then brat?" A third voice intervened before the two could duke it out and Keith resisted the urge to groan. He could feel the power of this third being rolling out in waves.
The two looked where the voice came from, namely above them where a man with black hair and golden bangs was floating, his hands crossed against his chest. His violet eyes boring into Heracles' blue ones. Of course, the most striking feature of this man were the twelve pure black wings on his back.
"Azazel." Heracles growled. "You dare interrupt a God's fight?!" However he couldn't hide the apprehensive look and the worry that laced his voice, trying to mask it through fake bravado.
The Governor General merely snorted.
"Yup!"
His easy-going response almost made Keith faceplant into the ground. He knew that Azazel was, probably, as strong as Sirzechs and Michael, but still…was he stronger than a God? Even if Heracles was a minor one.
"Now, shove that club up your ass and leave before I send you back to daddy dearest in a cute Christmas package." He glared at the son of Zeus, his eyes glowing with power. "The boy is under my protection as of now."
Keith raised an eyebrow at that, but decided to remain silent.
Balling his hands into fists, Heracles glowered at the Fallen, a bluish aura enveloping him, but ultimately conceded.
"This isn't over General of Crows." He then changed his gaze of hatred on Keith. "And you…the next time we meet, I will bash your-"
"Yeah, yeah, spare us the cheap threatening." Azazel dismissed with a wave. "Now, begone."
Growling, the son of Zeus disappeared in a show of lightning.
"For Penemue's sweet bouncy tits, I thought he'd never leave." The Governor said in an exasperated tone as he landed on the ground near Keith, making the human jump and aim the spear at him.
"Jeez kid, relax! I just saved your ass from a beating here." The Fallen raised his hands in a placating manner. "Besides if I wanted to hurt you, I would have done so already."
Seeing the truth in his words, Keith nodded and sighed, willing his spear to vanish.
"Thank you for that Azazel-san." He bowed.
"No problem kid." He waved his hand. "Now…I believe you and me-"
"Kei-kun!" In an instant, Kunou appeared and hugged him tightly, shoving his head between her breasts. "What happened? I couldn't contact you and when I began to search for you, I felt a powerful aura around here. Are you hurt? I swear whoever dared to touch you shall feel my wrath!"
"You may want to let go of him, unless he dies through asphyxiation." Azazel stated with an amused grin.
Looking down, Kunou gasped and immediately let go and began to fuss over him.
After everything calmed down, she looked at the Fallen Governor suspiciously.
"Hey, I didn't do anything!" He pouted. "I actually saved the kid!"
Seeing Keith nod, Kunou thanked him.
"Now, what happened here?" She asked.
"Boyo over here fought a crazy priest, then that twat son of Zeus, Heracles, intervened." Azazel brief with a shrug.
Widening her eyes, Kunou looked at Keith intently, trying to see if he was harmed.
"I am fine Kunou, don't worry. Azazel-san came before me and him could start a fight." He reassured her, seeing her worried face.
Before they could say anything else, Kuroka appeared out of a magic circle and quickly wrapped Keith in a hug.
"Oh Kei-kun are you fine, nya?" She asked. "I tried to talk with you earlier but you didn't-" Seeing Kunou there she stopped.
"What happened, nya?" Her face became serious. "Are you hurt Kei-kun, nya?"
"I am fine." His voice being muffled by her breasts sent a tingling sensation through her.
"Nya! Kei-kun, don't talk." She moaned.
"Ohohoho, you get that pussy good huh boyo?" Azazel laughed out loudly.
"Now, would it be alright wit you three to come with me and talk?" He asked, his laid back demeanour still there, but now more serious.
"About?" Kunou didn't fully trust him, not yet at least.
"About the stolen Excaliburs of course." He replied. "But before that…" He placed a hand on Keith's shoulder and a warm yellow light enveloped him briefly. "There, now the pain should go away."
"The pain?!" Both women shrieked.
"Ah…I may have eaten a blow from Heracles." Keith rubbed his head sheepishly. "But nothing serious, I swear!" He added quickly seeing their worried and angry expressions.
In that moment, the flyers Rias gave them began to low red.
"Oh, it seems that the representatives from the Angels arrived." Keith said, then looked at Azazel. "We could meet up later and talk."
"Sure, all fine with me." He shrugged. "Go and finish your business and here." He offered him his phone number. "When you are ready, give me a call. Ciao!" He disappeared in a magic circle.
Appearing in Rias' club room, Keith and his two girlfriends were met with a tension so thick that one could cut it with a knife.
"Good day to you." A woman in her late twenties with blue eyes and white-yellowish shoulder length hair greeted them, getting up from the couch and bowing. "We were awaiting your arrival. My name is Griselda Quarta, an Angel in the service of my King, Gabriel-sama, with the position of Queen." Keith didn't know how many sets of wings she had, but he could feel she was quite powerful.
"And these are my companions." She pointed to a chin length blue haired girl who had brown eyes. She was dressed in a black church battle suit which made Keith question the one who designed it. "Xenovia Quarta." The girl bowed her head slightly in greeting, but didn't say anything.
Griselda then motioned to a girl with chestnut brown hair tied in twin tails and violet eyes who was also dressed in the same suit as Xenovia.
"Hi, hi! My name is Irinia Shidou, call me Irina!" She greeted excitedly and winked at them.
"I believe you were briefed on what happened." Griselda stated after Keith and his two girlfriends introduced themselves.
Kunou nodded. "Do you have anyone as a prime suspect?"
"The Fallen Angels of course." Xenovia scoffed. "And we would be grateful if you, Devils, wouldn't intervene."
"Do you imply that we would side with the Fallen?" Rias' tone took a dangerous age.
"It might be a possibility." The blue haired girl said. "After all, you would jump in joy to see a Holy Sword destroyed, wouldn't you?"
"Besides, we would have to annihilate you if you did so." She added, holding a sword wrapped in cloth, the Devils shivering slightly at the aura.
"Enough Xenovia." Griselda ordered, giving the girl a look, making her gulp. "I am going to ask you to forgive her. She's still young and inexperienced when it comes to diplomatic meetings."
The girl huffed and Irina giggled slightly at her friend's behaviour.
"Oh it were just words, so nothing bad happened." Rias waved her hand, a polite smile on her face. "
"Now, what would you need from us?" She asked.
"All I am asking is for you to let us deal with this problem." Griselda requested. "I know this is your territory, but this theft was due to our negligence, therefore it is our fault."
"That won't be a problem." Rias nodded.
"But Buchou, what about Kiba?" Issei asked, a worried look on his face.
"We will find him Ise." She replied confidently.
"Do you know exactly who stole the swords?" Kunou asked, seeing that the blue haired girl was preparing to make a stupid remark.
"Kokabiel." Her eyes darkened. "That sorry excuse of a Cadre wishes to start a war."
A lot of eyes widened in surprise at the name, although it wasn't exactly that shocking to think about it. He was a warmonger after all.
"Why?" Kuroka couldn't help but ask, a frown on her face. "I thought everyone lost enough already because of the Great War, nya."
"From what Gabriel-sama told me, he always loved conflict and enjoyed the thrill of battle." The Angel informed. "That is why he fell in the first place."
"We need to find out who is he working with." She continued.
At this Keith sighed.
"I would have a possible partner in crime." She looked at him curiously. "Heracles." His tone darkened.
"That barbarian?" Xenovia scoffed.
"You met him before?" The young man inquired.
"No, but we have heard of his…achievements." Irina chimed in.
"What makes you think that he might be working with Kokabiel?" Griselda kept her eyes on him.
"I…sensed a faint aura of Holy energy in the North of Kuoh and I trailed it. I arrived at an abandoned church where I was attacked by one Freed Sellzen." Everyone's faces darkened at the name, except Kuroka and Kunou's. "He was wielding one of the Excaliburs, namely the Excalibur Rapidly. I defeated him in combat and wanted to take the sword, but then Heracles appeared."
Griselda sighed, massaging her temples. The situation just became harder. A Cadre was already hard enough to take care of…but now that a God, albeit a minor one, but still a God, butted in, the game has changed.
"Then this changes everything." She mumbled and looked at the Gremory heiress. "On behalf of the Angels, I would require your assistance in the matter."
Hearing this, Rias widened her eyes in surprise, while Xenovia widened hers in shock.
"Griselda-san, you can't be serios in asking these sinners to-" She was quickly shut up by a harsh glare from her legal guardian.
"I am serious." Her voice was stern. "Had it been only Kokabiel to deal with, then I would have been confident with only the help of Keith-san and his friends, but now with Heracles being a very possible addition, I am afraid that the inevitable future fight will be harder with only us six."
"Besides, I believe he has more reasons for being here as well." She added, looking at the heiress.
"What do you mean?" Rias asked confused.
"The theft of the swords would have brought war only between Angels and Fallen, but he chose the territory ruled by two very powerful Devil clans to show up in." She replied. "Not to mention that the siblings of two Satans, coincidentally, rule the said territory."
Kunou realized what she meant and gasped.
"He wishes to kill Rias and Sona."
"Exactly. That way, Sirzechs and Serafall would wage revenge and start the war." She sighed again. "And we would find ourselves amidst another Great War, one which would annihilate the three Biblical Factions out of existence."
'Shit, this issue just got astronomically harder than I originally thought it would be.' Keith groaned mentally.
"I won't let him touch a hair on Buchou's head!" Issei declared with a raised fist. "I will protect her and her amazing boobs!" Of course, everything he said came rushing back into his head as fast as he said it. "Ah wait! I…I mean – I" He began to wave his hands around and mumble in embarrassment.
"Oh Ise." Rias' cheeks reddened as placed two fingers on her temple and she shook her head while her peerage laughed, smiled wryly or glared at him.
"Rias' Pawn eager involvement aside, will you help us, knowing now that Heracles might be involved as well?" Griselda asked the trio from the Youkai Faction, an amused smile on her face.
"Of course." Kunou replied. "That is why mom told us to come here in the first place."
"Besides, who would want another war to break out, nya." Kuroka said with a shrug.
"We got your back." Keith nodded.
"Thank you." She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "The Heaven will not forget this."
With this, the church members made their way to leave, that is until Xenovia finally saw Asia's face properly.
"Hey, aren't you Asia Argento?" She asked, narrowing her eyes.
"What are you saying Xenovia-chan? She couldn't be-" Irina took a better look and widened her eyes slightly.
"Hmph, I didn't expect to meet a witch here, yet seeing as this is Devil territory, I shouldn't be surprised." The blue haired girl said, her eyes cold.
Keith didn't like her tone, at all. He tensed slightly, but Kunou and Kuroka saw this and each grabbed one of his hands. He calmed down, but could see the Red Dragon Emperor's clenched fists.
Asia on her part began to tremble, tears threatening to fall any second now.
"It would be only right for a witch to become a Devil, after all, they aren't different from one another." Xenovia continued, either unaware by Issei's growing anger and Rias' red aura or just ignored them.
"Hey Asia-chan, do you still believe in God?" Irina asked.
"Huh?" The former nun looked at the two exorcists, while Griselda had a disapproving expression on her face aimed at her ward and her friend. She decided to remain silent for now.
"I…I just can't give up." At this point, tears starting to fall. "I was raised to believe in Him and even after becoming a Devil, I cannot stop but find comfort in praying to Him, even though it hurts me."
The Angel in the room smiled sadly at her, as if she knew something the others didn't. She made to tell the two girls to stop and leave her alone, but the next words that left Xenovia's mouth froze her.
"Then it would be better for you if you were to let us execute you here and now. Perhaps God will forgive you then."
"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" Issei's emotions all but exploded. "Do you really think that you have ANY right to say ANYTHING to her?" His glare was so powerful that made the two exorcists flinch slightly. "When it was the church that ABANDONED HER!"
"Ise-san please." Asia murmured, grabbing his school jacket softly. "It's fine."
"It is not Asia-chan." He shook his head. "You grew up without any friends and I vowed to be your first."
"She strayed from her path!" Xenovia tried to reason. "The Holy Priestess didn't need friends. She had the love of God!"
"And look where did that bring her!" The Boosted Gear holder shouted. "She DIED at the hands of the Fallen Angels, only to be brought back to life by Buchou!"
"I dare you to even touch her, and I will kick your ass." He added in determination.
"Oh? Is that a challenge towards the whole church?" Xenovia asked, tightening her hold on her clothed sword. "You know you will lose."
"Bring it on Devil." She added, snarling.
"That is enough Xenovia." Griselda intervened. "As the Red Dragon Emperor said it: you have no right to-"
"Finally, I was twitching for a fight with some measly exorcists such as yourselves." A new voice said.
Keith could see a handsome young man around 16 leaning against the open door with his hands crossed against his chest, an unreadable expression on his face. He frowned when he saw his eyes though. They were cold and held an unbridled fury in them.
"Yuto…" Rias whispered.
"Who are you?" Griselda asked warily, sensing his rage.
"A failed experiment." He stated emotionlessly. "If you want a fight, a fight you will get." He glared at the two exorcists.
A/N: Aaaand cut! Well…I would like to apologize to you all because this chapter should have been posted last Sunday or so…but honestly, I have no excuse here other than that I was lazy and that I spent my time either looking up fanfictions or laughing at my friends while they played League of Legends. It is quite funny when you aren't the one playing. So yeah…I a apologize for that. Anyway, thus we have started the Holy Swords arc which to be honest, I believe I will change some things here and there, as I am sure you already saw. I decided to add Griselda here because in my opinion…who the hell would send two girls (humans even) to retrieve the Holy Swords who were stolen by KOKABIEL, you know a 10 winged fallen who would trash them…and the fact that they were ok with dying even if they failed was…dumb and shitty. So yeah, thus Griselda is here! And Keith and the rest of course. The way I see it, it would have been way more logical if they were to ask for help in the first place…like come on…Anyway, I am not sure if I wrote Xenovia and Irina good enough to not be considered OOC, but I tried.
Also, the next thing I am thinking of changing here is the whole revenge of Kiba against inanimate objects…What I mean is that I will probably have Keith "beat" some sense into him. Like come on…who the fuck pledges revenge against OBJECTS! Sorry for my rant, but yeah…Oh and Freed! All I am going to say is that he isn't important for the plot, soooo…I will let you guess what happens with him.
I don't know what I am going to change further, but we shall see.
Anyway, let's see the reviews!
Marsuvees Black The Dark Lord: I am glad you enjoyed the chapter, also what do you mean by "a few more" cause I don't really understand. Sorry if I am being dumb or anything xd
Trueopulence: Yeah…I was thinking about that too…and I think I will keep things as they are.
dickmoney: I agree. I can count on my fingers how many I have found lol.
HowAppropriate: I am happy you love the story! Now…a tough decision if I am being honest…Don't get me wrong, I am actually fine with adding Penemue instead of Roygun, but I am not really sure if I am going to manage the harem then…I am kinda struggling with 7 women and I am afraid if I am going to go back to 8 I don't know I will be able to make it seem fine…initially I thought I could handle it but I am starting to doubt it right now…but who knows…we shall see. Definitely I will think about adding Penemue and thank you for the long review, I always enjoy seeing longer reviews than usual xd
GhostlyDrew: I am glad to see you enjoy what I did there! Yeah, I agree with DXD fanfics and harem working hand in hand. As for the next, if you are curious, I have posted the harem already in chapter 3, however make sure to ignore Roygun since I don't really know how to add her so yeah, I decided to take her out.
Sakra95: I agree…why would the Angels let Xenovia keep Durandal is beyond me…but I believe I will change that as well…who knows. But I definitely have to do something about that. As well as giving Ascalon to Issei…I mean they could have given him something else since he sucks with swords…but oh well. Also, I think I am going to keep Xenovia and Irina as they were in canon since I don't really see the reason on why I would change that. I am not planning anything for them in the future so yeah.
N7 Quartermaster: I believe one would call them demi-primordials or something, dunno. At least that's what I have seen other people call them. Also, I will probably try my hand at something regarding Tokyo Ghoul even though I watched some years ago and can't really remember much, but I am sorry to say that it will take me a while until I will write something around it, but hopefully not long.
Dante687: Hmm, interesting ideas. I will surely think about them. Also, may I ask what is your reason for not wanting a harem in Percy Jackson? (just curious) And what pairing would you be interesting in seeing? (also just curious)
Guest: Well…when I searched the internet about Japanese Love Goddess, she popped up, so dunno. It might be true what you're saying, but who knows. Mythology is, sometimes, quite weird and fucked up.
phillyitalian: Hmm…never read the LN or the Manga, so I am sorry but I don't know what you're really talking about, but indeed sounds funny lol.
Godofwar01: I searched up about Sukazu on the wiki, but never really saw her in other fanfictions though. A reviewer mentioned about adding Penemue since I took Roygun out, so I am currently thinking about that. Sorry. And what ideas do you have in mind? I am open but right now I have some ideas of my own, but let me know, maybe we have something similar, who knows.
Guest: I agree. I will leave Xenovia and Irina as they are.
Anon: Well…I hope you enjoyed! I am not entirely proud of how I wrote them, but oh well.
Darkjaden: I don't really see a bad reason to not do that. *shrug*
So yeah, this is all! I hope you enjoyed the chapter and once again, my apologies for not posting it earlier.
Thank you all for reading, reviewing, favouring and following! I appreciate every and single one of you!
Oh and I am sorry if there are any grammatical or spelling mistakes.
Stay safe & sound!
