In Flames

Up in flames together we go

burning like phoenixes in the night.

Your body pressed against mine,

my lips pushing against yours.

Tonight is ours and no one will stand in our way.

For too long we've hidden in the shadows,

for too long we've played their games.

You make them hate you while protecting the

one you have your own reason to hate

and I solve all their problems while they claim

the credit for our work.

Together we've plotted.

Together we've schemed.

You needing your freedom.

Me needing a chance to prove myself

to be more than just the brains of

the trio.

Tonight we join, man and wife.

Tonight we finally give into the feelings

of passion, of love, that we have both

been denying for so long.

Things should never have worked out this way.

Things could have never gone this way without

the meddling of the two madmen we both

follow, both pretend to serve.

One word from his lips and the ministry falls.

One word and suddenly we're scrambling to

protect your secrets, your alliances.

One word and we're bound together

until death do we part.

One word on both our lips, proclaiming

we shall never betray our hearts.

Broken vows, lead to broken promises

he broke yours, destroyed any faith you had in the light.

I was there to pick up the pieces, to help you forget your

memories of her.

You were there when I felt my lowest,

felt as though I didn't matter anymore.

The war ended around us leaving us standing together

married by a law only passed to cause chaos.

Only passed to destroy both of us. They failed,

Merlin they failed because together we're stronger

together we have something they'd never dreamed.

True love blossoms in the hardest, the most trying

of times. Such power never before seen, such love

slowly blossoming between two mismatched lovers

never to be separated.

Tonight we burn, in passion, in flame,

finally free from everyone who tried to cage us.

Tonight we are ourselves, serving no masters save our

own desperate hearts.
