Many Scandinavians have told and wrote about his legend, many more thought of him as someone that could inspire hearts of many.

Those who called him stupid were called out for not knowing who he was, and that he was far more than he was.

Even some people spoke that Siegfried was his descendant, and many believed that.

They spoke of him as the Legendary King of Midgard, Hero of Heroes, King of Heroes. He was a great king that united the whole Midgard to survive through Ragnarok.

Despite countless losses from said event, five hundred and two survived thanks fo his efforts and sacrifices.

Despite his death, it is said that his will still lives within the people of Scandinavia.

But, what about his whole story?

Who is he?

Even magus that were said to have been his direct descendants, like the Phamrsolone family and Yggdmilennia family had wondered.

It all started with at a certain day.

When a dwarf whose name is Regin watched over an energetic boy running towards a boar, eager to turn it into their meal for sustenance.

"Uwaaahh!! Come here!" The boy yelled out with a smile on his face, preparing to make a long lunge to the large animal which had decided to fight back.

Oh well, until at the moment he lunged, he tripped due to a large rock that was coincidentally there, and then having his forehead struck by a hard, blunt rock, leaving him defenseless and unconscious while the boar charged at him.

"By the Allfather! Sigurd!" Regin immediately rushed towards the boy, striking down the boar by cutting off its head before it could also damage the boy more.

He checked upon the boy, and found out that his head was bleeding and he was not reacting at anything at all.

Left with a choice, the dwarf carried him back to the court of Hjalprek, his home where his foster father and biological mother lived, not forgetting to bring the boar to have its blood drained.

Once his unconscious self was brought to King Alf, he was curious and was worried.

"What happened to him, Regin?"

When Alf asked Regin this, he knew tripping from a rock would be unbelievable to everyone, so he told them that he fought a fierce boar, fiercer than those boars that they hunted.

It was a surprising thing, but it was noted that it belonged to a low grade Phantasmal Species.

He was later put to his bed, assisted by none other than his mother who had became old from all the years she spent.

Just by the sight of his unconscious body made her feel weary. What if he died? Then she would weep and blame Regin for what he had done.

And for days, she hoped that Sigurd will wake up, doing whatever she could do. Although she pleaded, the only response given was for her to wait.

So she waited for nine days.

And in the end those nine days, King Alf visited Sigurd, wanting to check up on his health.

It was at his visit that he found out Sigurd was waking up.

"Ugh... I feel like I had a hangover... Did I drink too much to near death?" He said, in a language that was totally foreign to him.

However that was only for a moment since Sigurd began to speak in the normal language they spoke afterwards.

Aside from that, the boy turned his head and stared at him curiously.

"Who are you?" He asked, wondering who he was even though he was supposed to have met him countless of times.

This honestly felt a bit condescending for him, but...

"Do you not know who I am? I am King Alf, and you are Regin's foster child, Sigurd." Alf replied, still wondering what really happened.

That boar must have been very ferocious.

Then he asked a handmaiden of his court to tell his parents that he had woken up, albeit something strange happened to him.

Once the word has been passed, the king was invited by the soothsayer to talk in private.

"What do you need?"

"Your majesty, did Sigurd really lose his memories?"

Alf thought about it and replied with confusion. He wasn't sure about it, so the soothsayer was very surprised.

"If he did lose his memories, then all that is needed to do was to make sure he remembers who he is, his family, and whatever memory he lost. Otherwise something bad may happen."

The soothsayer's request is heard clearly, and Alf soon declared that Regin and Signy take care of the boy with all their heart, make him remember all he forgotten to set him back to his path of heroism.

This made the two be in mild shock, as they had expected this to happen.

If in the future he will become a Great Hero, then there is no way they won't disobey his orders.

While they taught him between many days, they both noticed he was far observant than he was, even staring on several objects for a few seconds, and being less energetic than he was before.

Almost as if he had become more like an adult, maturing very quickly even while he is still a young boy with a great future. He learns quickly, understands far more than what he was supposed to do, and is wiser than he was.

Even so, Regin didn't think he would be capable of slaying a certain dragon as he is still weak and unskilled, and wouldn't be able to kill him.

Therefore, he decided teaching and training him is the best. But, why does the dwarf feel like he wouldn't be able to really manipulate Sigurd anymore?

This thought made Regin snort confidently, Sigurd trusted him as his foster parent, right?

After two months of him teaching Sigurd how to fight again, he found the boy watching him forge a weapon for the kingdom.

"Eh? What're ya doing here, boy? Shouldn't you be practicing with your sword?"

Sigurd took a step forward and looked as if he was curious.

"I want to learn more about the arts of the Dwarves, and how they make weapons." He said, standing still after a short while.

"... No."

With a harsh refusal, he expected the boy to be saddened and decide to return to training by himself, but now he had become stubborn.

"No? Then I'm not going to be the hero you expected to be." Sigurd threatened, crossing his arms as he looked pretty confident.

"I'll also live as a mere commoner, planning to live my life like someone who just doesn't like fighting all day."

Regin's expression deepened, questioning if Sigurd looked like he would just take this in stride. What the soothsayer said are vague, yet true.

He must not stray from his path.

With a sigh he reluctantly allowed Sigurd to learn smithing with him, though in his starting days the boy had some difficulty since the heat from the flames hurt him, he endured.

His swings from his hammer, originally which was of an amateur slowly and surely equalled him after merely three months.

"Impossible, this is... How?"

Regin couldn't describe the feeling that came from his chest. Was it jealousy, or was it the fact that he was proud of this happening.

The kingdom now had a steady supply of weapons, and it was all thanks to Sigurd, who was glancing at transparent screens nobody but him could see.

He was pretty happy about doing these tasks. Well, he meant having to do 50 thousand slashes, 10 thousand push ups, 10 thousand squats, 10 thousand push ups, a 130 mile run, and even 4 thousand uses of magecraft a month while he also does other things assigned by his system which he could decline, then he knew he could be stronger than this Sigurd originally wanted to be.

After all, he's made his goals for the future and he wasn't going to turn his back towards those goals.

Obviously, one of these goals was to live until Ragnarok where he believed he could die with barely any regrets.

The second? It is to marry Brynhild and be one hell of a loyal husband while they stop one certain fate they were predestined of from happening.

His third goal, however is to make one of his fantasies true. That is: Create his own Robot/Mecha similar to Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Grendizer, and maybe even the DyGenGuard or the Gespenst.

Right now, he was still pretty weak since he only activated his system several months ago, and unlocked certain functions of the system through the usage of QP and being at a certain Usage Level, which is his activity with the system.

Aside from that, he still has many things to do.

Therefore his real journey will start somewhere when he obtains his magical horse, gifted upon him by a certain Old Man.

Sigurd, the boy who would become King, had his head struck by a fierce boar, rendering him unconscious for days and nights.

His mother would aid him and feed him while he slept, in order to keep him at his best conditions.

One day he woken up without his memories, yet obtained wisdom from wise warriors.

Author's Commentary: Feel free to give me any corrections since I didn't really want to make Sigurd's story be too similar Siegfried's story.

Otherwise I'd be confused as heck and ask myself: Is this book the book I wanted to read that I could reference? That's quite odd.

Any suggestions?

P.S. no Harem is an illusion.
