Impossible Things
Impossible, you and I.
Impossible the shared marks,
the shared dreams.
The shared glances we exchange when no one is looking.
We know better.
I know better, you know better.
We can never be together like this,
not here
not now.
Impossible for soulmates to exist.
Just lies someone told once upon a time.
Impossible we were destined to be matched.
Fate doesn't exist, things are left to us to choose.
Impossible the way we fit together so well
in a relationship that is wrong in society's eyes.
A relationship doomed before it could even begin.
Knowing there must be a way to make this impossible love
a reality, knowing there must be something I can do.
Trapped in past, wrapped in your arms, shivering and confused,
wondering if I can ever return to my own time.
Stuck by a twist of fate, by a spell of my own creating,
one I made to do anything to be with you.
A spell gone wrong.
A spell gone right.
A spell to which I can't remember the exact wording.
A spell designed only to end the longing for something,
for someone, I never dreamed possible.
The impossible love I felt in my heart, now a dream coming
true in this version of you.
Now, now I am with you, in this new era
for me to explore.
Together we'll be unstoppable.
Me knowing what happens in the pages
of the future and you knowing
I would never dream of doing anything
to bring harm to you or the ones I love.
Time travel was impossible,
now possible since it is the only way
to be in your arms without their stares
without their judgments.
Soulmates were impossible,
and yet our shared marks, our shared dreams
we are destined to be together
destined to be one.
No more denying it as our lips meet.
No more denying as the whole earth shakes
beneath us.
The world in celebration as we've finally
met as lovers
finally accepted our shared fate.
The future forgotten, the past rewritten
and together, we face a new impossible
world.
