A/N: Next up, a trip to the year 2105! What's in store in this futuristic NYC? Find out!
Reviews:
G-Man 2.0: The songs is the one thing I'm still trying to get right. I think the formula that I had before worked with everything else because there were actual instrumental breaks in those songs compare to This is Halloween which had next to none. With how this will work in this chapter, hopefully, that shouldn't be much of a problem.
And the Lotte Libby friendship wasn't something I originally planned when I first started thinking about how some interactions would work with some of the contestants honestly. But I'm glad I did it. Not just for Libby, but also for Lotte. As much as I liked the show and the movies, I felt like they pushed Sucy and Lotte to the side way too much in the second season for Akko and Diana to shine more. Don't get me wrong it's still a great season. Just wish they gave them more moments than a one-off episode focusing on each and in Lotte's case, some of the second movie too. But I guess that's a byproduct of having only 25 episodes to work with. Funny enough, I had the idea to bring in Gordon the same time I wanted to focus on Lotte.
Also, thanks for letting me know about the nickname. Guess that's what I get for not having headphones at the time to really listen to the name, so I misheard it every time as "batty" lol.
G09F17R02: Thanks for pointing that out. Looks like I updated it everywhere else I posted the story but forgot to do it here for some reason.
MemeKing: Granted, the chapter isn't perfect, but it was one of my favorites to write so far. Hope everyone's ready to surpass their limits against Yami. Wonder if Kagami has ever read Black Clover(he's said in one of the bonus chapters in the manga that he's always dreamed of being a character in a shounen battle series).
dkunderdog: There's a lot of stuff All-Stars didn't get right imo, but that's a story for another day.
Ginrai12: Appreciate the review! Hoping my writing can only improve from here!
Answer to previous chapter's trivia question:
A: Midorima
He hates cats because one scratched him. No further details from what I've watched and read was revealed compared to Kagami's reason for not liking dogs. Although he's not the type of person to be vocal about his dislike compared to Kagami, who's frightened at the sight of a dog. A big reason why he doesn't mind being around Rook and Blake(along with their personalities). Rocky would probably annoy him the most I'd imagine since his personality would remind him of Takao, one of his teammates and friends at Shutoku.

"Last time on Total Drama Across the Multiverse!"
"It was storming on the island. And several people, myself included, were missing. And it didn't take long for the ones that remained to notice this. Everyone had their own ideas of what happened, whether it be an actual attack or invasion in Mona's case, or a prank or challenge in Noah and Blaineley's case."
Footage of Mona providing an explanation of what she thought happened to everyone else was shown with Blaineley and Noah also being shown giving their thoughts about what possibly happened.
"But they didn't have time to think as they were already being attacked! After yet again, more arguing from Rei and Kagami, Huey had had enough, and pretty much told them, Haizaki and Blaineley off. Kinda surprised he hasn't said anything about me yet. Sheesh."
Footage of the skeleton warrior grabbing Julie's leg, Kise kicking it off and Urien performing an Aegis reflector, breaking it apart, was shown along with Huey not holding back on his remarks about Kagami and Rei, Haizaki, and Blaineley.
"And so they began their search, as they took off on the only plane that was left. Until things with awry with Chef turning into an 'undead' monster, with Heloise not being too far away. Things could have gotten bad, but thankfully, Doyle was able to right the ship and give everyone a not as rough landing."
Footage of Doyle landing the plane with everyone except Haizaki coming outside to see that the plane was in no condition to fly was shown.
"They found a cabin and went to ask about where exactly they were while Doyle called for help. The person staying in the cabin, Charmy, seemed friendly enough. Until an ambush happened. And several contestants disappeared, with everyone almost being burned inside thanks to Susie, who seems to, bu her own words, be a pyromaniac. Thankfully, everyone that was still inside got out just fine."
Footage of the events in the cabin unfolding before they ultimate had to escape was shown.
"Unfortunately for them, that was only the beginning. Not only was there a rather explosive trap set that they fell right in, but it also caused them to get separated. Duncan and Haizaki butted heads for a bit before the latter came out with his side of the story about his past with some of the others here. Lotte and Libby seem to have bonded, and Rei and Kagami were, to their dismay, paired up with each other."
Footage of different groups of contestants interacting with each other was shown.
"And things got even weirder. Sounds were heard and shadows were seen, with all of it culminating in three things: Several monsters, ghouls, and other weird guys showing up, some scared contestants running for their lives, minus Huey, Sophie and Paul and a spooky song to boot. Seriously, is no one going to talk about how even keeled most of the Kings are? Kind of odd that they didn't get to the town first. Probably would have if the guys they had competing were faster. Which by the way, was the challenge the whole time. Getting to Halloween Town first!"
Footage of Jack and several others scaring most of the contestants were shown along with them singing the musical This is Halloween was shown along with all of them, with the exception of Rei, Myron, Kagami and Haizaki all making confessions of their own. All of it ending in Jack revealing that this was a challenge.
"The Rats won first, with the Kings coming in second. Which leaves the Breakers coming in last. So much for the high they had off the last win. Though to be fair, every team has won at least one challenge and every team has had to eliminate someone. So at the very least, it's looking like there won't be another Team Victory situation. Seriously, I don't need to mention how much of a butt-monkey team that team was. But I will mention how Duncan got eliminated. And it's all because of Libby. Had she voted for anyone else, this might have not happened. Heck, we might have even had to go to sudden death. But it is what it is. Least I don't have to worry about any more cottages being burned down."
Footage of Duncan being eliminated and Libby thanking Duncan for helping her and Lotte was shown.
"Now fast forward to today, they're-"
Chris was interrupted as a screeching noise was heard, causing him to cover his ears and for everyone else to wake up.
Hiruma suddenly appeared in front of the camera, surprising Chris, with Rocky's violin in one hand and a recorder in the other. "Ya-ha. Yami! I've got a message for you from someone here before we start!" He said before playing a recording.
"We could show up, kick a[censored] and then leave. All that hype and talk was for nothin'. Sorry a[censored] beta." Haizaki said in the recording.
Hiruma stopped the recording. "Now Chris, start the intro!"
"Right. Let's see how Yami responds to this rather interesting challenge from Haizaki. Right here on Total... Drama... Across the Multiverse!"

The rest of the contestants flooded outside.
"Worst alarm clock ever." Reagan said, rubbing her eyes before seeing Hiruma with a violin in hand handing it back to Rocky. "You know what? At this point, I'm not even surprised."
"I'm afraid to ask, but... why?" Noah asked Hiruma.
"Chris already said the challenge was gonna be early. So get those yawns outta the way now. You're gonna need to be at your best for this challenge. Chris, what's on the menu for food today?"
"So you chose to wake us up in the most earbleedingly annoying way possible. I would have taken loud music over this. You've got issues. Seriously." Rex said.
"You're just finding that out now? I found that out the first time he was here." Yang said.
"To answer your question Hiruma, it won't be anything served here." Chris said.
"Great. Sounds like we're flying again." Aomine said.
"So we won yesterday. We should get first class right?" Priya asked.
"Uh no. I have no idea where you're getting the whole thing that we're flying." Chris said.
"So it looks like the challenge is going to be here." Kaz said. "I'm ready to get started!"
"Never said that either."
"Then where's the challenge going to be? Stop keeping us in suspense already!" Kaz said.
"Not here. That's all I can tell you." Chris said before opening a portal.
"I'm not going in there until I know exactly what's on the other side." Heather said.
"Never bothered you the other times we did this." Chris said.
"Because all the other times, we had an idea of where we were going because we knew what the challenge was. We don't have a clue what's on the other side. For all we know, that guy from yesterday could be waiting to punch the first guy that walks through." Heather said.
"Sly! You go in there. You've got some quick reflexes." Heather said. More as an order than a suggestion.
"Sending me first to die huh?" Sly asked sarcastically.
"Stop being a baby and go in." Heather said.
"Actually, I've got the perfect idea." Sly said. Halfway going through the portal, he slowed down before completely going in. The result was nowhere close to what he expected.
He had to immediately pull out his paraglider to avoid being nothing more than ringtailed splat on the ground.
He looked around and saw that he was in the park. Which looked normal at first. Until he saw that there were flying cars outside.
"Well, time to put these upgrades to the test." Sly said before pulling out his upgraded binocucom.
"Hey, Bren! You there? Come in!"
Back home, Bren's radio worked. "Hey, it works!"
"Yeah, that's great and all. But fair warning. Don't just-"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Eijun fell to the ground with Sly having to catch him with his cane to stop him from actually being killed.
"Drop down here." Sly finished.
"Eh heh. Thanks!" Eijun said.
"Sure." Sly said.
"Anyways, find a way to land safely. Tell everybody else that too so I won't have to grab everybody." He said to Bren, looking at Eijun as he said it.
"You got it!" Bren said. "Guys, you're gonna have to find a way to land safely. I'm guessing it's a pretty dangerous fall."
"So you were trying to kill us." Heather said.
"It's not that deep of a fall! Quit overreacting." Chris said.
"I have an idea. Fair warning though, you all may want to stand back." Sucy said, to the surprise and/or curiosity of several people there.
"What are you going to do?" Adrien asked.
"Hey Bren, you might want to warn your friend." Sucy said, still in her almost never-changing, deadpan voice.
"It's Sucy. I really think you should take it seriously." Akko advised to Bren.
"Oh. Right." Bren said.
"Hey Sly. Sucy says you might want to move aside."
"Right. Thanks for the heads up. Hey, Eijun! Sucy says you might want to move away from the portal." Sly said.
Suddenly, green liquid started to come out of the portal. To avoid him even thinking about trying anything, he held Eijun back as the liquid continued to fall to the ground.
The liquid went into the ground and did nothing.
"Uh, nothing's happening." Sly said.
"He says nothing's happening." Bren said to Sucy.
"Well duh. You can't expect every potion to work instantly." Sucy said.
Seconds later, a large mushroom grew from the ground.
"There's a big mushroom there!" Eijun called out, pointing to it.
"Yeah, I can clearly see that." Sly said. "I'm guessing that's supposed to happen, right?"
"Hey Akko, you should go first." Sucy said.
"What? Why me?"
"Well, you always seem to come out fine from this stuff so why not."
"That is true." Lotte said.
"You're not helping!" Akko said.
"Everything's fine down here!" Zero called out.
"When did he go in?" Kagami said, surprised.
"He did it while you guys were talking." Kuroko said, behind Kagami.
"I'm not even surprised at the fact that you're behind me. I'm more surprised at the fact that you didn't give one of your signature 'good morning's." Kagami said, trying his hardest to do an impression of Kuroko at the end, blank face and all.
"I did. I guess you didn't hear me."
"No you didn't!"
"I'm serious."
A few minutes ago
As Hiruma was "playing" the violin, everyone was covering their ears.
"The hell?" Kagami said, covering his ears.
As he and several other contestants were groaning from being disturbed, they all headed to the entrance of the mansion.
"Good morning." Kuroko said, rubbing his eyes.
"I'm gonna have a nice chat with whoever decided to pull that crap." Kagami said out loud, not hearing Kuroko.
End Flashback
"What happened to having a 'nice chat'?" Rei teased.
"Yeah. I take that back." Kagami said, looking at Hiruma.
"Also, I really didn't hear you man. My fault. Good morning." Kagami said to Kuroko.
"I didn't hear you dude. I'm sorry. Morning man." Zee said.
"Same here. Sorry Kurokocchi. And a good morning to you too." Kise said.
"It's fine. Though honestly, it would be better if we started the day with some breakfast." Kuroko said as his stomach was grumbling. "I'm kinda hungry."
"Not an unpopular opinion I bet." Yang said.
"Are you guys going to go in? Or are you going to just talk to each other?" Sucy asked.
"Oh yeah. Right." Kagami was the first to jump in with the others following.
New York Central Park, 2105
"What is this place?" Isagi said, looking around.
"Central Park. Though. Something's off." Skipper said before sniffing the air, with Dwayne oddly doing the same thing at the same time.
"Never thought I'd be saying this but, the penguin's right. The smell's off here. And I've never even been to New York." Dwayne said.
"Yeah, it's more than just the smell." Rex said. "Take a look above you."
Everyone saw the flying vehicles, and several highways and buildings.
"Is this... the future!?" Toxsa said.
"Correct! This is the New York City! In the year 2105!" Chris said.
"2105!?" Several people said simultaneously.
"Yep!"
"2105 huh? If that's the case..." Zero started.
"Alia come in. Layer! Palette! This is Zero to Maverick Hunter Base! Can you hear me?"
"Anything?" X asked.
"Still nothing." Zero said.
"More than likely, it's because this still isn't our world even if the time period is similar." X guessed.
"You're probably right. Unfortunate, but we can still manage."
"Man, I wonder if this is anything back in your time period." Bennett said.
"My time period?" Cicini asked, confused.
"Oh." Bennett said, realizing that Old Bennett still wasn't there.
"So it took us this long to get flying cars huh?" Rick said.
"Least we know it isn't just in the movies." Reagan said.
"Wait. If we're living with aliens. Have they... taken over!?" Shawn said, putting his hands on his head.
"Or... in this period of time, there's a united peace charter. In other words, aliens and humans all peacefully live together." Myron said.
"With how things are back home, it makes sense." Diego said, referring to their universe.
"True, but it's all speculation. We won't know for sure until we get more information to confirm or deny this."
"World peace huh? I wanna believe it." Huey F. said.
"Man, and I thought only planes would be flying. This is insane." Falcon said.
"Things have advanced so far into the future. Further than anything I could possibly imagine." Sebastian said before shrugging. "Then again, I'm simply a butler. I'd probably have no use for most of the things here."
"So Falcon, you think you could fly any of those? You did do pretty well in the last few challenges you had to pilot something." Ayame said.
"These? Absolutely not." Falcon said.
"You never know if you try. You said that about the podracers and the skimmers and look what happened."
"Like I said, I'll stick to planes. In our own time period. Thank you."
"So wait, if this is further into the future, what part of the future were we in before?" Ryoma asked.
"Almost a hundred years ago." Chris said.
"Wait a sec. That means-" Molly started.
"That most of us competing here are dead in this time? Yes." Rick said.
"That's not what I was going to say." Molly said, a little disturbed by the thought.
"Was it something about our environmental issues being solved?" Diego guessed.
"Yes! How did you know?"
Diego laughed a little as he smiled and bashfully put a hand on the back of his head. "A lucky guess."
"Diego loves nature. So it shouldn't be a surprise that he'd be one of the first to notice this." Fiona whispered low to Julie.
"Ah I see!" Julie said.
"It's pretty unfortunate that even with all of the technological advanced made back on our Earth, and with a peace charter, the environmental problem has still been left unsolved." Myron said.
"Wait a sec, I just remembered something. I've been here before!" Luz said.
"You have? How was it?" Zak S. asked.
"I can't really say since I wasn't here for long, but it looked pretty cool. I got to try this thing called the transcendental lathe in Cody's Penthouse with the turtles. It can make whatever the person that stands in it thinks of." Luz said.
"So in a way, it's like Lantern Rings." Razer said.
"Huh. Never thought of it that way but yeah!" Luz said. "To be honest, I never got to actually be outside. Like I said, it was in and out."
"Stop! You have violated the law!" A voice said, jumping down right in front of them. It was someone wearing a superhero costume that had an orange "T" on the black cape, mask, and front of the costume.
"Mikey!" Luz said.
"I do not know of this Mikey you speak of. For I am the Turtle Titan! Citizens, Chris, it is a pleasure to meet you all!" Turtle Titan said, extending a hand to shake to Chris.
"Good to have you man." Chris said.
"Well, at least we know one thing hasn't changed in the future." Libby said, smiling. "Sort of."
"Today, I will be guiding you across the city! But first, in order to safely traverse this fair town, you're going to need these!" Turtle Titan said before tossing out a capsule that expanded into something larger. In it contained high tech gear.
"This high tech gear will allow you to traverse the city and even understand alien languages!"
"Alien languages huh? Sounds just like back home." Kaz said.
"Even so, it's probably still smart to take the gear just in case. We might need it." Myron said.
"While you all get used to your new gear, I'd like you to meet some friends of mine!" Turtle Titan called out. No one appeared. "I said... I'd like you to meet some friends of mine!" He called out, slightly louder, with a lot more emphasis.
Three more heroes came from above and landed on the ground. One of them wore a high-tech purple and white costume with matching colored gauntlets and jet boots. He also wore a visor over his mask and eyes. The second wore a dark green suit with a red chest plate in the middle and a red cowl that had a red "T" over the chest plate. The fourth had the most basic costume hearkening back to superheroes of the 21st century such as Batman. The costume was a dark blue and a light blue cape and cowl with light blue lights glowing on the elbow area and knee area.
"Citizens, meet some of my trusty teammates! Together we form, the Turtle Titans!"
"You literally just added an 's' to it. How original." Tsukishima said.
"Cool! Superheroes from the future!" Hinata said as he, Kaz and Eijun were excited to see them.
Tsukishima grabbed his nose and looked down, facing secondhand embarrassment. "Why do I even bother?"
"So what are their names?" Libby asked.
"Red Revenger." The red superhero said, putting his fists together.
"Le-asion? Yes! Leasion!" The blue hero said.
"Tech Wizard!" The purple hero said.
"And now that introductions are out of the way, let's give you a tour shall we? Follow us." Turtle Titan said before he used a grapple to start swinging. Everyone else started following behind, all in their own ways, some of the non-flying contestants being carried by others. And in the case of Paul and Bren, using Garchomp and Neo-Quickforce and Bass fusing with Treble again. Even with the gear, Ben and Albedo still transformed, Ben choosing Tenn-Zenn, with Albedo choosing Jetray. Once they got to a building, some of them continued to run across the rooftops.
"Uh, wait! Hold on a sec!" Natsu said, struggling to figure out how his gear even works.
"How does this even, aw forget it." Natsu said. "Come on Happy!"
"Aye!"
Both began to take flight, following behind everyone else.
"Hey Razer. I see you didn't get one of those things either. Guess you had trouble too huh?" Natsu asked the lantern, catching up to him.
"Actually, no. Because I'm already wearing lantern rings, there was no need for me to." Razer said.
"Man, those rings have got some pretty useful magic." Natsu said.
"It's not magic. It's energy powered by different emotions. In my case, the blue ring is hope, while red is rage." Razer explained.
"Rage and hope huh? I'm not seein' you angry though."
"My rage isn't the common rage that you're thinking of. At least, not anymore. Rather, a righteous fury if you will."
"I'm not exactly sure if I fully understand these rings. But anything powered by emotion seems cool. Say, I heard you say those things can help you make whatever you think of. You think those things can make some food?"
"I've never tried that before. Probably. But I'd imagine it wouldn't provide any nutritional value."
"Well, good to know at least. Looking forward to seeing what else that thing can do in the next challenge."
"I'm looking forward to it." Razer said, a soft smile appearing on his face.
Albedo was, oddly enough, having a civil conversation with Ben.
"What exactly is that form?" Albedo asked, never seeing it before.
"Tenn-Zenn. It's a Saiyan form. Scanned it when Goku and Vegeta were here the last season I was in." Ben answered.
"You waste the power of the Omnitrix on a game show? You never cease to dumbfound me Tennyson. In fact, what could you possibly have to prove to enter a show such as this?"
"You first."
"A fair counter."
"Also, why is she there?" Ben asked, pointing to Dawn who was riding on him.
"What are you-" Albedo said before looking up and seeing Dawn.
"I never gave you permission to use me as transportation!" Albedo said to Dawn.
"Sorry. Don't mind me. Please, continue your conversation with Ben. You seem to be making some strides in interacting with him without bursting into fits of anger."
"Dude, so you're telling me, you never even noticed her there? How did you not feel anything?" Ben asked.
"Quiet! And to answer your question, my reasons are far more justified than yours. I have to win!"
"You and the 80+ other people here too dude. You're not that special man."
"If you want to be so judgmental of my reasons that I have yet to even state, state your reason for being here. You're famous. You're well-known around the galaxy as a hero! What could you possibly gain from winning here?"
"Yeah, you're right about the fame part. That wasn't even the reason why I entered the first time. It was more for the mon-"
Laser blasts were suddenly seen being shot at everyone, one of them hitting Turtle Titan.
"Turtle Titan!" Leasion called out.
"You okay?" Tech Wizard asked, landing on the ground to check on him.
"Yeah. What the shell was that?" Turtle Titan asked, getting up.
"There's your culprit right there!" Red Revenger said, pointing to the ship in the air that was shooting at them.
Bass, with no hesitation, retaliated against their attackers with a buster blast, with the flying vehicle dodging the first but being hit by a full-on direct attack from the robot master. Four figures jumped out of the vehicle just as it exploded.
"Are you insane!? There were people in there!" Jenny said.
"People or not, they tried to attack us. Do you expect me to not defend myself?" Bass asked.
"Defending yourself doesn't mean taking unnecessary lives." X said.
"Does it look like they care about that?" Bass asked. The culprits were four turtles. But these mutant turtles weren't like the superheroes that were with the contestants.
"Who did this to you!?" Libby said, horrified at how the turtles looked.
"Aw look, she actually cares." The blue turtle said.
"It's too bad that we don't share those feelings!" The purple turtle said.
Hiruma pulled out a gatling gun while Rick pulled out a laser rifle.
"Uh oh." The yellow turtle said.
"Maybe this was not a good idea!" The red turtle said.
Hiruma relentlessly shot bullets at the turtles with Rick following suit. The four turtles dodged out of the way, but not before they took a captive. That captive being Shawn.
"Somebody! Anybody! Jasmine! Help!"
"Let him go!" Jasmine said.
"Oh yeah? Come here and make us!" The orange turtle, who had Shawn said before laughing, which gave Doyle the chance to blind them. The others attacked the turtles and freed Shawn.
"Who turned out the lights! Turn 'em back on now!" The yellow turtle said, moving around before falling off the roof.
He was saved, but not by the people that he hoped. It was the police as he landed on a flying cruiser.
"Ello! Ello! Ello! What's all this then?" A golden robot, with glowing blue eyes wearing a police uniform that was on a flying scooter said, appearing with several other police. He looked and saw a vehicle in the wall of a building, with said vehicle having smoke coming out of it. A hole was also seen in the wall of another building where Bass' missed buster shot came from.
"Destruction of property and disturbing the peace! Not in this city!" The robot said.
"Uh oh. We gotta get outta here!" Turtle Titan said.
"I can't afford to go to jail!" Lucy said, hands on her hand.
"Man, if I had a nickel every time that was said this season." Doyle said.
"You'd have two nickels right?" Reagan guessed.
"How'd you know I was going for that?"
"I mean the joke was right there. It's pretty much low-hanging fruit at this point."
"Is not!" Doyle insisted before really thinking about it. "Is it? I mean I never made that joke before have I?"
"Hello? Police? Am I the only one remembering this?" Heloise said.
"Wait a second, where's Chris?" Heather asked.
"Gone. Of course." Courtney said.
"Guys! We have to get out of here!" Leasion said with everyone running, including the evil turtles.
"I think I've found a way out!" Tech Wizard said, using his visor and scanning a building.
"We might be on the same page then!" Turtle Titan said.
"Well, lead the way o' fearless leader!" Red Revenger said before it sounded as if he grumbled, "I can't believe I just said that."
"Don't mind if I do!" Turtle Titan said before using his grapple again to get to another rooftop.
"Resisting arrest! A third crime!" The robot called out.
Ding Ding
"What in the world is that?" The robot said.
"A song? Here? Why?" Courtney asked.
"You ask why we have a song. I ask how we're all even able to hear it from anywhere." Noah said.
"You know, I think I brought that up before. Not sure. But that is a good question." Zee said.
Turtle Titan, Leasion, Red Revenger and Tech Wizard, all revealed their identities as they pulled out their weapons, throwing off their costumes.
"Come on guys! Let's go!" Leonardo said, jumping on top of several flying cars.
"What?" Lotte said, a horrified look on her face after seeing what Leonardo just suggested for them to do.
"Have you lost your minds!?" Rei said.
"Considering what's behind us, we don't have much of a choice!" Blaze called out as the yellow turtle was laughing maniacally, jumping on top of cars and causing some of them to suddenly go down a bit because of his large size.
"Come back! We're not done playing yet!" The yellow turtle said.
Rei sighed before pulling out her Crystal Change Rod. "Guess it can't be helped."
"MARS CRYSTAL POWER! MAKE UP!"
As she transformed into Super Sailor Mars, Adrien and Marinette also transformed as well.
"TIKKI! SPOTS ON!"
"PLAGG! CLAWS OUT!"
"Damn it. I really didn't wanna have to do this." Aomine said lazily before opening his eyes and entering the Zone.
"Well? What are you waiting for human? Unless you want to die?" Albedo said impatiently to Dawn.
"Room for more!" Bren called out as Luz and Mona also got on Neo-Quickforce.

Everyone: Fast Forward!
TMNT:Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Everyone goes through a window, either going through an open part of it, or in the case of Natsu, crashing through it because he was starting to lose air and being pulled down because of the gravity.
Everyone: Forward!
Diana was covering Kageyama while Kurita was doing the same thing with both Monta and Kuroko as they landed in the room.
"You're not hurt?" Kageyama asked, as Diana released her grip of the boy.
"I can take a lot more punishment than you think." Diana said.
"Thanks."
Diana simply nodded, acknowledging his gratitude.
"Um, excuse me. Kurita. You can let go now." Kuroko said to Kurita.
"Oh. Sorry."
"Great. Looks like we lost 'em." Sly said.
"I really don't see how can handle this as a normal occurrence." Bren said to the raccoon. "Neo Quickforce, return!"
"Garchomp! Return!"
"Thing is, I didn't even take anything this time. That's the funny part. Even in the future, I still get chased."
"No thank you. I'm glad S.T.O.R.M. isn't relentless like this."
Two figures showed up into the room.
"Took you guys long enough." A boy with red hair and green eyes said. He wore a blue futuristic suit and blue pants and white shoes. The second figure was Chris.
"Took us long enough!? We were bein' chased by the police! And Mikey came up with this stupid for us to dress as superheroes! For what, one song? It didn't last then!" Raph said.
"Come on, it was fun! Besides, it would have been boring for us to just have some regular old entrance and be like 'hey, what's up? My name's Michelangelo'." Mikey said.
"See? I'm not the only one." Akko said to Diana who only closed her eyes, trying to ignore Akko's remark.
"No one will take you seriously with your face looking like that." Louie said.
"What's wrong with my face!?" Akko asked, offended.
Julie gave her a mirror. Her face was red and was the shape of a square, courtesy of her falling on her face when she went into the building.
"Is that a normal occurrence for you or..." Hailey started.
"No!" Akko insisted.
"Are you sure? That's like the third time that's happened to you." Scott pointed out.
"Yes I'm sure! And why are you keeping count?"
"I don't know. Just remembered it I guess."
"Chris, explain yourself. How could you leave us to fend for ourselves being chased by the police?" Diana said.
"Chased by the police? Why am I not surprised." A large robot said, appearing behind the two. He then saw the broken glass on the ground. And Natsu and Happy, who were struggling to get off the ground.
"So hard... to breathe." Happy said.
"What's... goin' on?" Natsu said.
"Uh oh. Looks like they didn't put on any gear. Serling, could you get some gear for them?" The boy asked.
"Certainly, Master Cody." Serling, who was the robot, said, leaving the room.
"What happened? Did we run out?" Cody asked.
"There should have been more than enough for that not to happen." Donnie said.
"They're not going to die are they?" Lucy asked, concerned.
"No. The different gravity is what's keeping them down. But the oxygen levels are different. That'd only be a concern if they were without gear for a decent period of time." Cody explained.
Seconds later, Serling came back with gear and put the gear on both.
Both suddenly felt as if they were breathing normally again and could stand.
"Oh man, what are relief!" Natsu said.
"Air, I'll never take you for granted again!" Happy said.
"What is this stuff anyway?" Natsu asked, looking at the gear that was on his chest and wrist.
"Enviro-pack, wrist translator and graviton regulator. Things that everyone that traverses the city will need." Serling said. "I'm honestly surprised you were even able to last this long."
"Still though, this is the byproduct of it. And somehow I have to deal with it. Wonderful." Serling said sarcastically, lowering his eyes. "If I may ask, what exactly do you have planned for our new guests? I would ask if they're more well-behaved than these four but..." He looked back at the broken pieces of window on the ground. "I think I already know the answer. Hint, it's not the one I was hoping for."
"You should be asking what he's got planned for breakfast." Randy said.
"Yeah. I'm starving. Hey, you look like a robot butler. Get us something to eat." Zak M. said to Serling before plopping down on a sofa and picking up the remote.
"And from the looks of things, along with being just as troublemaking, you're rude as well. At the very least, that's one thing the reptilian miscreants have over you."
"Ignore him. He doesn't reflect the rest of our team." Karin said.
"You know what they say: Seeing is believing." Serling said.
Sebastian was seen with a broom in hand, walking past Serling to sweep up the broken pieces of glass on the floor.
"And I see that she was right." Serling said, about to be overjoyed before he brought his voice back down. "Although, I won't get my hopes up too much. Something tells me I might be bound for disappointment later."
Rocky goes to sit next to Zak M. "Hey, this looks interesting." He said, looking at the holographic TV.
"Really now? Well if it interests you, go find your own place to look at it in." Zak M. said, pushing Rocky off and sending him into one of the stands that had a vase on it.
Sebastian quickly catches the vase and Rocky which surprised both Rocky and the anti-matter Zak.
"Serling, is there a kitchen around here? I think it's been made clear by everyone that they are looking for something to eat before we start."
"Yes, but the cuisine bots should be able to take care of whatever they want. As for you, I greatly appreciate what you've done around here. You've been more helpful within ten minutes than these four have been the time they've been here. Which mind you has been on multiple occasions." Serling said.
"Cuisine bots? I suppose I'll have to see myself if that is true." Sebastian said, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, how about it Chris? We let them eat, and then they can get started on the challenge." Cody proposed.
"Sounds good to me. But, if I can make one little adjustment." Chris said.
"So you must be a butler huh? Cool! Hope you're nicer than that old bolt-for-brains here." Mikey said to Sebastian.
"Yes. I am a butler." Sebastian answered.
"Ah yes, pretend as if you had no input for why I act this way." Serling said to Mikey before pushing away Sebastian, to the demon butler's surprise. "Come now. I don't want their troublemaking stench to rub off on you."
"But I haven't finished cleaning yet." Sebastian said.
"I will be more than willing to finish for you." Serling said.
"Serling? Happy? Have we been gone for that long?" Mikey said.
"Hey, it's a good look for 'im. Least he won't be talkin' about clean this, clean that over and over again. I mean seriously, there's only so many times you can dust one freakin' area of a wall! Ya ain't gonna get everything! Move on!" Raph said.
"Sorry Chris, but I have to cut in one more time. I feel like I'd be rude if I didn't do this." Cody said.
"Sure thing!" Chris said.
"My name is Cody Jones! And as you've already met, this are my friends, and teachers, when it comes to martial arts anyway, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael!" Cody said. "Though I know some of you, particularly Luz, has already met all four of them beforehand. And Mikey and Raph in the last season they were in for those that were there."
"I have to ask since I know some of you are from different universes, what do you think of the future so far?" Cody asked.
"Pretty cool!" Hinata said.
"Fine I guess." Jotaro said.
"I think it's neat." Ayame said.
'You say neat? I say confusing." Falcon said.
"What do you think is confusing about it?" Cody asked.
"Let's see. What do I start with? Everything."
"I share your feelings. There's a lot of things here that don't really make much sense to me. But honestly, I'm not really too worried about it." Ryoma said.
"Why not?" Falcon asked.
"Well, think about it. We'll only be here for this challenge. Then, we'll leave."
"Of course that's the reason why. You really are a one track mind." Ayame said.
"Hey, maybe I should start thinking that way too." Falcon said.
Ayame sighed. "You two. Really are stuck in your old ways."
"You mean you're not confused by any of this?" Kageyama asked.
"Well of course I am. But that doesn't mean I'm against trying to learn." Ayame said.
"Something like this would be a nightmare for Mamori I'd bet." Becky F. said, which caused the manager to slump over in embarrassment.
"Yeah. I know."
"Hey, it's no big deal I was just kidding around." Becky said, trying to give her a consoling smile.
"If there's this much technology in the future, there might not be much need for magic at all. So thinking about it, I don't know if I really like the future all that much." Akko said.
"Personally, I think a good balance between both would be great. As much as I like magic, there's just some things that technology can do that magic can't. And vice-versa." Luz said. "Unfortunately, I can't read fanfictions with magic. Or make AMVs. At least where I'm from. Scrolls are kinda the closest thing the magic world gets to the internet. At least on the Boiling Isles."
"Touché. But seriously? You really wouldn't want a world full of magic?"
"Agreed. Having a healthy balance of both allows for magic and science to have a role, and work together for even more possibilities." Lotte said to Luz.
"And have to do every single thing myself? I don't miss that time period. And I wasn't even born then. Sorry, not sorry. No thanks. There's a thing called working smarter, not harder." Sucy said.
"You guys are so boring. How are you not even remotely curious to see what things back then were like?" Akko asked.
"Well yeah, I think it would be interesting, but, considering what happened the last time I used time travel to the past, I'm not rushing things." Luz said.
"Magic huh? Interesting." Cody said. "Well, I hope I get to see it in action today. Chris, take it away."
"Thanks. As I was going to say, don't worry, you guys are still going to get some grub. But, while that happens, your challenge will be explained to you. Two birds get killed in one stone. Sound good?"
"Sounds good to me." Natsu said.
"Great! While you wait, feel free to explore around here." Cody said.
"Also, if ya got something to say privately, Cody's already set up a place for that. Don't worry, it's completely private." Chris said.
"Outside of you listening in on the tapes?" Fiona said.
"Yeah. That. Though in this case, there aren't any tapes." Chris said.
"Doesn't make things better. You'll still find a way I'm sure."
"Can we go back outside?" Sendo asked.
"Sure. Just try not to cause too much trouble if you're going to look around the city. The food shouldn't take that long." Cody answered.
"That's fine too. Guess I'll stay in if that's the case." Sendo said. "Got any trainin' equipment?"
"There's the training holo-simulator. But that's not ready at the moment." Donatello said.
"What about the real stuff? The weights, dumbbells, stuff like that." Sendo said.
"Tough luck pal. Ain't none of that stuff here in the future. One of the reasons why I don't like it here." Raph said.
"It's true. Raph's a grumpyface when it comes to the future." Mikey said before pulling out the grumpy Raph replica he made before. "See? I made this with that transcendental lathe! It turns your thoughts into stuff! And you know what I was thinking about when this was made."
"You know what I'm thinking about now?" Raph asked.
"Uh, how much you hate the future?"
"No. How much I'm gonna make you and that stupid thing transcend into that roof!" Raph said.
"Hey uh, I'm gonna check on Sebastian and see if the food's ready! You keep this company." Mikey said, tossing the replica into the real Raph's face. Who threw it like a fastball back at Mikey, who dodged it.
"Ha! I knew you'd do that!" Mikey taunted before realizing that the replica hit Sebastian in the face.
"Now you see what I have had to deal with every time they've been here. This looks to be no different. Unsurprisingly." Serling said.
"I see." Sebastian said, keeping a neutral expression as he glared at Mikey. Even though he clearly wasn't happy with what just happened.
"Sorry man! I didn't mean to-" Mikey said before being picked up by Sebastian and being tossed out of the kitchen along with the Raph replica.
"Ha! Serves you right." Raph said.
"Perhaps it would be beneficial for you all to not be in the kitchen." Sebastian proposed.
"I have never heard truer words spoken. As they say, too many cooks in the kitchen." Serling said. "Hm. I can't believe I haven't thought of doing that before." He said, referring to Sebastian throwing out Mikey.
"That includes you as well." Sebastian said to Serling.
"What? Why me? I haven't done anything." Serling said, surprised that the butler would tell him this.
"And you won't have to. Please, allow me to handle the kitchen duties."
"While I appreciate the gesture, that's what the cuisine bots are for." Serling said, looking at one of the meals the bot made. Sebastian tasted one of the eggs made.
"Decent, but it could be better." Sebastian said before moving out the kitchen bot as well.
"Respectfully, I'm not sure if you could do better. These bots are state of the art." Serling said.
"I'd say give the guy a shot. I don't mind a little cookin' from our time." Raph said.
"Actually, he's not from your time. He's from the past as well. Just like Falcon, Rocky, Ryoma and Jotaro." Chris informed.
"Aren't we all from the past, technically?" Scott asked.
"He means from the time period we were in before back on the island." Rook said.
"Oh."
As Sebastian continued to prepare food, everybody tried to find their own ways to pass the time.
Miyuki and Toxsa were playing video games with Mikey while Raph talked with Sendo as both of them and Kunigami worked out outside on the rooftop. Through push-ups, sit-ups, etc. Anything that didn't require equipment. Yulaw decided to find a separate spot to practice his martial arts.
"So ya finally decided to show up for a season huh?" Raph asked.
"Yeah. Better late than never." Sendo said.
"Glad to see you're takin' up Heather's challenge." Raph said.
"Oh that? She's not the only reason I came here. I came to do what Makunouchi couldn't: Win." Sendo said.
"So that's right huh?"
"Yeah. If I was gonna come here, I needed to have another motivation besides that. If Heather goes, and that's my only motivation for comin', what's the point of me being here after that? The money's nice, but I don't want that to be my sole motivation for me to do anything. Boxing included. Because then, my heart wouldn't be in it. And if I'm not givin' it my all, then I won't be satisfied, win or lose."
"I respect it. Ya definitely got a completely different personality compared to Ippo. Not sayin' that's a bad thing though. Definitely lookin' like a guy that's willing to follow up on what he says." Raph said.
"I just hate that it took so long. Was busy durin' all of the other seasons so I never got a chance to sign up 'til now." Sendo said.
"Hey, it's like ya said, better late than never." Raph said before looking at Kunigami, who was silently working out by himself. "So who's mister silent type?"
"Kunigami. He's a soccer player from this place called Blue Lock. Don't know much else about him other than that. Or Blue Lock either. He's not on my team. And he's been pretty quiet too outside of the challenges. That's when he gets vocal. From what I've seen so far, he's definitely a guy that ain't here to play around or make friends. He's here to win."
"Blue Lock huh? Sounds just like what Ego described."
"Ya heard of the place?"
"Yeah. They came to the island on the season I competed in. The guy that runs it, Ego, was a complete nutcase. But his challenges were definitely brutal. And by brutal I mean several people got eliminated at once on some of 'em. Myself included."
"With how he is, it makes sense. Isagi and Bachira came from there too. Isagi hasn't competed yet, but I can tell that he's got that same mindset as Kunigami, even if he talks more than him. I'm not sure about Bachira though. But he hasn't proven that he doesn't have that same killer instinct. He's just smilin', laughin' and havin' fun while he plays."
"Sounds like someone else I know. Does he crack jokes too?"
"Nah. Haven't seem him do it that much. Say, you said you competed. Out of curiosity, how'd you do? I know you said you got eliminated but I wanna know a little more if you can."
"Got to the merge and got eliminated during the Blue Lock stuff."
"Guessin' it wasn't second, third, or even fourth."
"Nope."
"Huh." Sendo said before standing up after doing sit-ups. "I ain't gonna compliment and tell ya 'good try' if that's what you're thinkin'. I'm just thinkin' about who else outta these guys here competed on that season Ippo was in. I know about Falcon and Luz, but I don't know about anybody else. Still though, even if these guys are strong, I ain't gonna let Ippo off the hook for losin'. And I'm not gonna use that as an excuse for me to prematurely phone it in and give up at any point in this contest. I'm gonna fight my way through all of these guys." Sendo said before a determined look was on his face. "And win."
"That's a heck of a lotta determination ya got there. And I love every bit of it." Raph said.
Sebastian appeared on the top of the roof.
"I'd like to inform you three that breakfast is ready." Sebastian said.
"All right!" Raph and Sendo said before both ran in anticipation of the meal. Kunigami, wiped sweat off his forehead and silently followed.
When they both returned to the main floor, there was a table set for them to eat at, as suggested by Sebastian himself. Along with that, three additional faces were seen in the room. One of them being Yami, who wasn't too hard to notice, and the other two being completely new faces.
The first was a boy who was short, but had a muscular build, even more than Sena, who was as tall as him. He had green eyes with messy, ash blonde hair. His hair was kept together with a headband that was black and had the same bull insignia that Yami and the person that was next to him had. The headband also had a red-colored four-pointed star with three stitches on the back of it on it. He wore a plain white tunic with a v-shaped collar underneath a dark blue jacket that had sleeves that extended up to his elbows and a pair of matching shorts which has a stitch marks on the left side. Over his tunic was a black robe that also had the bull signature on it along with a pouch that had a similar looking book in it to Yami's.
The second was a girl that was slightly taller than the boy and had pink eyes, with long, silver-colored hair tied in pigtails. She also wore purple stud earrings, a silver bracelet on her left wrist, along with a sleeveless and backless short purple dress that was covered by a silver blazer, which was also backless. The blazer also had a pair of special pins attached to it around her collarbone area. The leather belt she wore supported a pouch that had a book in it, which seemed to be a staple of the people that were with Yami along with the robe that had the bull insignia on it, which she also wore.
"Here are your last three stragglers." Sebastian said to Chris, gesturing to Raph, Sendo and Kunigami.
"Took you guys long enough. You better be strong to be keeping us waiting like this." Yami said.
"I'd say the same to you, but what I felt yesterday, I already know the answer." Sendo said.
Kunigami didn't respond.
"I got nothin' to say to him since he's not competing." Yami said to Raph before looking at Kunigami. "But you got some nerve showing up here and not sayin' a word."
"Yeah? What do you want to me to say? 'I'm sorry'? Tough luck. You wanna chance to have at me, then you better do it in the challenge." Kunigami said.
"Uh oh." The boy said.
Yami laughed. "Fair enough! I just hope you can back up that talk. Be a shame if it was over in one blow."
***Confessional***
Isagi(Storm Kings):
"Kunigami has never been afraid to speak his mind. But in this case, since coming out of the Wild Card, it's a case of him being unafraid to talk to anyone however he wants. Case and point, Noel Noa. He's literally the coach of the team we're both on, and the best striker in the world. None of that matters to him at all. At least to an extent. Some of what he said here, he's never said to him. So I guess even he has limits."
***End Confessional***
"Now then, before we eat, I'd like to introduce the two next to me. This is Asta and Noelle. They're Magic Knights, both a part of the Black Bull squad. The same squad that I'm the captain of. Charmy and Gordon, as you've already met in the last challenge, are also a part of that same squad." Yami explained.
"Now that's all I gotta say for now. Don't bother me with any stupid questions unless it's something important. Or you'll regret it." He said before looking at Asta and Noelle. "Well, what the hell are you waitin' for the sun to set? Eat and introduce yourselves. It'd be rude to let this food go to waste."
"Uh, what about the challenge?" Kaz asked.
Yami got up and picked up Kaz by his head, who was horrified.
"I just told you not to ask me any stupid questions! We'll get to that after we eat! GOT IT!?"
"Okay! Okay! I got it!" Kaz yelled out, crying in pain as he was flailing around trying to desperately get free.
Yami lets him go. "Alright. Now I'm gonna say this again. Don't ask me any stupid questions! Next time it happens, you won't get off so easy like he did."
***Confessional***
Yami:
"Jeez. I don't even understand why he would want to start the challenge right now anyway. Yeah I know Chris said he wanted the challenge explained while we ate but I got a reason for wanting to let them all eat first and then dealing with the challenge afterwards. You can't surpass your limits on an empty stomach."
***End Confessional***

Johnny(Wave Breakers):
"Ya know, I was gonna ask if he's got any pretty ladies on his team. But uh, yeah. I think I'll stick with what I got."
***End Confessional***
With things dying down, Asta and Noelle went to introduce themselves to some of the other contestants as they enjoyed the food.
"This ain't momma's cookin'. But it doesn't have to be." Johnny said. "I'M SORRY MOMMA! PLEASE FORGIVE ME!" He yelled out before beginning to eat more of the food.
"Hey, how's it going!? I'm Asta! It's nice to meet you all!" Asta was heard saying in what was slightly louder than a normal voice to some of the contestants which included Sophie, Eijun and Alejandro.
"Do you have to be so loud?" Noelle asked, already annoyed from Asta's loud voice before hearing Fiona, who was next to her, sighing.
"Another case of Kaz's mouth getting him in trouble again." Fiona commented.
"Is it really his fault though? Yami didn't exactly clarify what was a stupid question and what was an important one." Becky B. said.
"So you wanna know what a stupid question is huh? I'll tell you." He said after biting off a piece of chicken leg. "Important questions: Asking about anything threatening your lives. Stupid questions: Everything else."
"Hey uh, so can I ask you about him? He threatens our lives every day." Noah remarked, referring to Chris.
"Nope. He's the only exception. Heard you've got some sort of contracts, so I don't have a say in what he does." Yami said. "Besides, you've made it this far. You should be fine."
"Well, I'm still not surprised it happened. It seems like it always happens with him. Heck, if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't even be here." Fiona said.
"You're still upset about that huh?" Toxsa asked.
"Well yeah, a little. But, I guess it's not all bad. I finally get to talk with other girls here that aren't named Hebina or Titi."
"Let me guess, you don't like them."
"Well actually, I don't really have much of a problem with Titi. She's not too bad of a racer actually. Even though she's never placed higher than me in any races both of us have been in."
"You just had to mention that did you." Kaz interjected before Fiona pushed his head down, annoyed that he was butting in.
"It's more of everything else. I just don't get the hype about her being able to do all of those things at once. A singer, a dancer, and a racer. Look, I respect her for trying different avenues, especially since I for one am a great singer too but decided to focus my talents into racing-"
"Great singer's a bit much." Diego remarked only for her to push his head down too, starting to get more annoyed that she was being interrupted again.
"But she decided to try to balance all three. Her racing skills, while decent, are lacking compared to mine. So from the looks of things she tried to tack on racing to being a pop star. Like I said, there's nothing wrong with doing something on the side, but I'm not going to give her that leeway and let her skirt criticism just because. I don't know about her music or dancing since I never bothered to listen to either. With all of the other things I'm doing I just don't have time for it."
"What other things?" P.E.L. asked, floating over only for her to push it down as well. "I was just asking a question!"
Fiona closed her eyes and folded her arms.
"And Hebina, don't get me started with her. Her and her team are space pirates. They're nothing but trouble. They may not be pure evil like Ryu was, who wanted to destroy the Earth and the Universe. But unlike him, they're willing to cheat. I can't respect any racer that's willing to go to those lengths to win no matter how skilled they are. They even tried to sell merchandise to try to make a quick buck off our growing popularity. And it wasn't even good stuff at that!" Fiona said, before a cross-popping vein appeared as her eyebrows twitched. "Just thinking about it gets me mad!"
"You do realize he stopped listening a while ago right?" Kaz said as Toxsa was talking to Asta now, which caused her to push down Kaz even harder out of anger along with P.E.L. who also reappeared.
"If you wanna annoy someone go to Shiro or something!" Fiona shouted out.
"Leave me out of this." Shiro said, quietly eating at another part of the table.
"Hey Shiro! You should meet Asta and Noelle! They look pretty interesting." Kaz said, going over to him.
"Why?"
"Uh, because they look pretty interesting?" Kaz said, not sure of what else to say.
"If it'll make you feel any better, I'll say something if they ask me about it. Other than that, I don't see much of a reason for me to do so." He said before drinking some of the juice that was in his cup.
"Good enough for me!" Kaz said before getting up to go and meet Asta.
"Hey Asta! How's it going man! I'm Kaz Gordon! Leader of Team JET!" Kaz said, extending a hand.
"You're the leader of a team? But you're so young! No offense." Asta said.
"Huh. I never thought about age playing a factor honestly." Kaz said.
"Asta's already getting to know people. I haven't talked to a single person here." Noelle thought. "But then again, what's the point? We'll be gone after today anyway."
"Hey!" A voice said, which snapped Noelle out of her thoughts. It was from Luz. "I'm Luz! I see you've been pretty quiet compared to Asta."
"So what? I don't have to talk to you." Noelle snapped, closing her eyes and folding her arms, looking away.
"True. But that's the only way we'll really get to know you." Luz said.
"Yami already told you my name. That's all you need to know about me. I don't need to know anything about you. You should be thankful that I even talked to you this much." Noelle said.
"Right..." Luz said. The magic knight wasn't exactly making a good impression compared to her companion.
"I say leave her alone. If she doesn't wanna be talked to, that's cool too. That's on her." Aomine said, leaning back in his chair a bit as he drank the orange juice in his cup.
"Who are you to say who I can and cannot talk to?" Noelle said.
"Can't tell ya. I'm probably some 'commoner' to you so it shouldn't matter anyway right?" Aomine said, eyes closed.
"Exactly! Which means, you have no control in who I talk to!" She said before huffing. "As a matter of fact, I will talk to someone!"
"Uh, okay? Go for it I guess." Aomine said, still nonchalant.
"You guess!? You have some nerve!"
"Look, are you gonna talk to someone or not? And don't think it's gonna be me, 'cause it's not."
"I will! You there!" She said, pointing to Lotte, who was talking to Libby about the Night Fall series.
"Me?" Lotte asked, caught off guard.
"Yes you! What is your name?"
"Um, Lotte?"
"My name is Noelle Silva. Magic Knight of the Black Bulls. And royalty. You should feel honored that you get to meet someone as myself." She said, closing her eyes in an arrogant fashion.
"Nice job." Luz said to Aomine.
" 'Nice job' what?" Aomine asked.
"The reverse psychology. Pretty smart."
"I have no idea what you're talkin' about." He said before eating a piece of English muffin.
"Trying to be modest huh? I get it." Luz said. "Deep down, you really are a pretty good guy."
"Modest? For what? Seriously, I really don't know what you're getting at here."
"I really don't think he knows." Adrien said.
"Oh. Maybe it wasn't intentional." Luz said.
"That's what I've been saying this whole time. How come it took him saying it to you?" Aomine said, annoyed.
"A magic knight? So you know how to do magic too?" Libby asked Noelle.
"Of course. If I didn't, do you really think I would bring it up? And what do you mean 'do I know how to do magic too'? For the record, other than Captain Yami, I am the only magic user here."
"You couldn't be more wrong actually." Diana said, on the other side of the table, before casually drinking juice with her eyes closed.
"And just who exactly are you supposed to be? Telling me that I am wrong? You've got some nerve."
Diana put the juice down and opened her eyes. "Lotte is a witch. As am I. Sophie also knows magic along with Natsu and Lucy. I could bring up others but I think you've already gotten the point by now."
"What do you mean others? You forgot about me!" Akko chimed in.
"Could you maybe not shake the table? Thanks." Sucy said, sitting next to her.
"And? Is that supposed to impress me? I've never heard of you if you're trying to give yourself some attention." Noelle said.
"I never said it was. And I never said was trying to. I could care less about getting your attention. I just wasn't about to allow you to throw out a statement that obviously isn't true." Diana said.
"As if I should care about whether a commoner wants to get my attention or not."
"Yet another statement that is far from the truth. I am Diana Cavendish. A member and heiress of the Cavendish household. A prestigious line of witches. I am far from a commoner. Sophie, Karin and Weiss are the same way."
"Great. Another to add to the collection. Good thing she's not competing." Ben said.
"What do you mean 'another to add to the collection'?" Weiss asked, offended.
"Look, we all know how annoying you can be at times, what with the class thing." Blake said frankly.
"Am not!" Weiss said, folding her arms.
Ben, Weiss and Rally all gave her deadpan looks.
"Okay. Maybe a little." Weiss said, laughing at herself a bit. "But seriously though, she looks like she really needs a friend around here." She whispered.
"Why don't you do it then? You seem to be the most relatable." Blake said.
"I never said I was the one that needed to do it."
"Would you rather have Ruby do it?"
"Too late!" Ruby said before zipping to Noelle, catching her off guard and causing Aomine to fall off his chair.
"That's what you get for doing that, idiot." Yang said to Aomine.
"Shut up." Aomine grumbled. He saw a dog on the ground before going to pick it up. But it felt like plastic, meaning it was a toy. "Hey! This for anybody here?"
"Where'd you get that from!?" Kagami said, surprised, jumping out of his seat and causing food to get on Kurt, who wasn't happy in the slightest.
"It was on the floor. Guess with how you're looking, it's yours." Aomine said.
"Actually, it's mi-" Midorima started before the dog was thrown out by Sebastian into a garbage compartment to the shock of several people. Midorima included.
"What in the world would possess you to do that!?" Midorima asked, more surprised than upset.
"He's got one heck of an arm!" Eijun commented, in awe.
"And that accuracy's pretty good too!" Hinata said, also in awe.
"Huh. Nice trick. I might steal it." Haizaki also interjected, hands on his chin, intrigued as he watched.
"And you admitted that out loud because?" Tsukishima said.
"Yeah? So? That's my M.O." Haizaki said, arms now behind his head.
"That's not a good thing!"
"Did you guys see that distance though? That was pretty far." Monta said.
Sebastian cleared his throat. "Apologies. That was a rather impulsive decision on my part. I just realized it was a toy, and not a real dog. I apologize, not just for sending it into the trash, but for also disturbing your meal." He said before bowing. "I hope you all can forgive me."
"Oh. It was a toy." Kagami said before sitting back down. "Yeah man. You're good."
"It's no worries at all. I believe some of us are starting to finish up anyway." Akashi said.
"Or in the case of them, finish up multiple times." Sucy said, referring to Kagami, Natsu, Aomine, Eijun, Kaz, Asta, Hinata, Sendo and Yami.
"Is it really okay for them to be eating that much? Honestly, I can't seem to understand how they all can eat that much. It's one thing for Asta to be the only one doing it." Noelle said.
"It's fine. After seeing some of their appetites firsthand I was more than prepared for them to want more plates." Sebastian said.
"And understandably so. This is absolutely delicious!" Eliza said, a joyful smile on her face. "Even I had to get an extra helping."
"As a matter of fact, there are still some extra plates for anyone who is interested." Sebastian added.
"In most cases I wouldn't mind another plate. Especially when it's good like this. But I think I'm good." Kagami said.
"He's scared of dogs too?" Rei asked Kise and Rocky, who were next to her on the left and right respectively.
Kise just shrugged while Rocky remarked, "Well, at least we know he's fine with cats."
"I'm not sure." Kuroko said, who was sitting next to Rocky and caused him to jump out of his chair in surprise, on Rei's face, who promptly tossed him off. "But, I can say that Kagami doesn't like dogs." Kuroko said.
"If that's the case, that scare must have really gotten to him if he's not eating." Rei thought. "Then again, I can't complain. I got an extra plate myself."

Rocky(Radical Rats):
"Was he sitting there the whole time? I for sure didn't notice. Call me crazy, but I think that's his power: Appearin' and disappearin' like a ghost. Maybe if he wasn't competing here, he'd be one of the spooky guests in the last challenge." He said before laughing.

Blake(Storm Kings):
"I get it. Not liking dogs. But even I knew that wasn't a real dog."

"How did you make all of those plates so fast? Did you use the kitchen bots to help you?" Donatello asked Sebastian.
"No. I didn't." Sebastian answered. "I prepared all of it."
"That's incredible!" Ruby R. said.
"Eat your heart out Aominecchi." Kise said.
"Aw shut up ya moron." Aomine said.
"Come on, lighten up. He was just joking around." Yang said.
"I know, but still. How the hell do you expect me to be faster than a freakin' demon?" Aomine said.
"I guess you could say he's more of a speed demon compared to you huh?" Yang said.
"Do us all a favor Yang. Stop." Aomine said.
"Actually, keep going. I insist." Weiss said.
"What? Why?" Aomine asked.
"Because, messing with you is fun." Weiss said before giggling a little.
"Yeah, yeah, real funny."
"Hm. I get you're a demon, but you're still not any butler I've seen before outside of that. Even in movies." Yulaw said, genuinely impressed.
"I'm not sure how butlers are in your movies. But I can assure that I do nothing but my best in doing my job."
"I see. Everyone is satisfied with what you've made." Serling said, going over to where Sebastian was.
"Yes. Just goes to show that sometimes new isn't always better."
"Now I'm really startin' to like this guy." Raph said, thumbing to him.
Eventually, Yami got up from the chair he was sitting in.
"Alright. I think I'm good. And, you guys should be too." Yami said before turning to Sebastian. "Gotta say, that was some nice food. Really appreciate it. If you don't mind, I think I'll take one of those plates on the go."
"Not at all." Sebastian said.
"Thanks. You really are one hell of a butler."
"Of course." Sebastian said, bowing.
"Now then, let's get to that challenge. Today's challenge is going to be combat focused." Yami said.
"Combat focused huh? Now we're talking." Natsu said.
"Nice. Hey Tetsu, mind if I hit him now?" Aomine asked Kuroko, referring to Hanamiya. But he actually wasn't talking to Kuroko when he looked over. It was Mayuzumi next to him.
"Oh. My bad." Aomine said, having clearly made a mistake.
Mayuzumi only shot him a bit of a glare before putting his attention back on listening to the details of the challenge.
***Confessional***
Aomine(Storm Kings):
"Okay, yeah I made a mistake, but he didn't have to give me that cold look. Jeez. Besides, they both look kinda the same anyway. That's why I just assumed it was him standing next to me. 'Cept for the fact that he's taller. Yeah they got different color hair, but it kinda looks similar too."

"From what we've seen so far, the challenges you've been in have had a bit of combat in them like the A-T battle, but never strictly focused on combat." Cody said.
"Which is exactly this one will have that focus." A figure said showing up on roller skates. She was an alien that had blue skin and wore a purple suit that matched her skates.
"Starlee! What took you so long?" Cody asked the alien.
"Sorry. Was getting some things ready."
"This will test your ability to work together with your team. And trust me, you're going to need teamwork if you want to hope to win. Unfortunately for you though, it looks like you all lack that." Yami said.
"What? We work fine together as a team." Ben said.
"Yeah. I don't really see the issue here." Yang said.
"I don't know. Not from what I've seen." Starlee said.
"What you've seen? What are you talking about?" Kagami asked.
"Allow us to show you." Cody said before playing footage which included Rei and Kagami arguing several times throughout the season, Haizaki having problems with Kageyama and other team members on his team, Aomine and his interactions with his teammates after he punched Hanamiya, Old Bennett and Young Bennett arguing, and Rick arguing with Old Bennett. Footage of Kunigami throwing the baton to Scott and missing with Kunigami shouting at him was also seen.
"How is some of that evidence again? We patched that up last night." Rei said.
"Yeah, with how you two act, I seriously doubt that. No offense." Huey D. said.
"You're not even on our team!" Kagami and Rei said.
"I think that just makes it even worse honestly." Louie said.
"I really don't get how what happened to Aomine is evidence either. We tackled that issue pretty quick I'd say." Courtney said.
"If anything, I'd say we're the best team when it comes to teamwork." Heather said.
"If you've got that attitude then you definitely won't have the mindset to improve. Because I'm still seeing areas that all three of the teams can improve on. None of you are perfect." Yami said.
"He's right. These challenges have been pretty close. Some of it just being the strength of the teams, but we still have areas that I'd say could use some improvement. Especially since not everyone has gotten a chance to get action yet. Myself included." Isagi thought.
"All right. I'm looking forward to this one." Kagami said.
"Really? I never knew you to be much of a fighter." Kuroko said.
"Yeah. You really don't look like one. No offense." Rex said.
"Don't judge a book by it's cover. He can definitely fight." Haizaki said.
"Yeah. I wonder how you know that?" Kagami said, giving him a glare.
"I gave you a compliment. Don't mean I said you're better than me though." Haizaki said.
"Keep your damn compliments to yourself." Kagami said before calming down. "But anyways, I wouldn't say I'm just some guy that likes beating up people and getting into fights. But I'll do it if I got to. Second, I may not be as strong as you all, not counting Kuroko, but that's not actually the reason why I'm excited."
"Hey, I get it. Wouldn't say I'm much of a fighter myself. But I'll do it if I have to." Kurt said.
"If you're aware of your limitations, explain why you would be excited to participate." Albedo said to Kagami.
"Actually, I've always wanted to be in a fight against a strong guy. I don't mean like street fights, or boxing or anything like that. I'm talkin' like in battle mangas. You know, Dragon Ball, that type of stuff." Kagami said, picturing himself fighting his brother Himuro as Kagami performed the Meteor Kick, flying in the air, and Himuro performing the Mirage Punch, which was starting to create an afterimage like his actual signature move, the Mirage Shot. At the end, Aomine, who had his arms folded above both of them, had a grin on his face as he put an arm back, preparing a formless energy wave.
"You're better than me. I like that type of stuff too. Just never was interested enough to want to be in it." Isagi said.
"You want to say something don't you?" Yang said to Rei, looking at the face she was making.
"Nah. As dumb as it is I won't. Besides, I read a little manga myself. Even if the battle stuff has never been my cup of tea." Rei said.
"Alright, that's enough talking!" Yami called out. "If you had something to say you should have did it earlier."
"You may have been wondering why the holo-simulator wasn't available. That's because it'll be what you're using for this challenge." Donatello said.
"Think of it as VR. In the future!" Mikey said.
"VR? Cool!" Huey D. said.
"Each team will go in with four people each and battle against different enemies." Cody explained as footage in the background showed Leo and his brothers fighting against robots inside the simulator that oddly looked like miniature versions of Serling and the policeman(or in his case, robot), that was chasing them.
Serling looked at Mikey and Raph. "Ya gotta admit, both you and that constable can get annoying." Raph said.
"Don't worry, we still love ya all the same man." Mikey said.
"If you think my justified criticisms are annoying, then I wonder what that makes your rough housing." Serling said.
"You'll use your abilities, wits, teamwork, and whatever else you got to win. Your goal is to make it through quickly and efficiently. You'll all have 20 minutes each inside the simulator." Yami explained.
"Sounds like a piece of cake." Rex said.
"It does huh? Well let's see if you're singing that same tune after you hear what's next. To make things tougher on you, you'll all share hits on a three strike system. That's right, you get hit three times during the entire time you're there as a team, you're done and the fight's over. So you better choose your moves wisely. At the end, you'll all be given a rating based on your performance. S is the highest and F is the lowest. And you all share that rating as a team. So if one of you make an a[censored] out of yourself in there, it'll show in your grade."
Starlee changed the screen again. Once she did, Donatello began to talk. "So, you're probably asking yourselves, 'how do I increase my grade'?"
"Heh. Teacher Don is in the house!" Mikey said.
"Well, by earning points. Points are earned from defeating enemies. The more enemies you defeat, the better. Tougher enemies count as more points. So there's a bit of risk and reward here as well. You'll also get bonus points if you win before you reach the bonus time, which you'll all be able to see. However, if you don't finish before time is up, you'll get docked points. Getting hit three times will also dock points as well, while inversely, finishing without getting hit a single time will also award bonus points." Cody explained as the point system was being shown behind him visually.
"The team with the highest grade wins the challenge and a reward!" Chris said.
"Now, are there any questions?" Yami asked.
"So, what about the people that don't exactly have powers?" Hailey asked.
"Don't worry, you won't be completely powerless. Thanks to the transcendental lathe, you'll all be able to even the playing field as your thoughts and personality will be fully manifested with gear or other surprises." Donatello answered.
"And what about those who already have gear or abilities?" Rook asked.
"Don't worry, you'll be able to take all of that stuff with you inside the simulator." Donatello said.
"But don't think that's a reason for you to let your guard down. Or for you to use your stronger team members as a crutch. Because you might not have that luxury in a real battle. It could just be you out there all alone. And you'll be the difference between whether you and your team wins or loses. Which is exactly why if you already participated in a challenge, then you can forget about being in this one!" Yami said.
"Well, looks like those battle manga hopes are on hold huh?" Kise said to Kagami.
"Yeah. Guess so. It sucks but, it is what it is." Kagami said.
"We've already fetched the list of team members that have and have not participated so far and out of the team members left, we'll randomize them to see who will participate." Starlee said.
"But before we do that, I'd like someone to explain this to me." Yami said before Donatello played the audio clip.
"We could show up, kick a[censored] and then leave. All that hype and talk was for nothin'. Sorry a[censored] ba[censored]d." Haizaki said in the clip.
"What?" Haizaki said, in utter shock.
Several contestants were surprised, while some weren't.
"I'm not even surprised." Midorima said, closing his eyes.
"Did you not learn anything from the last time you did that?" Kageyama said to Haizaki.
"He's failed the 'Haizaki not being a d[censored]' challenge how many times now? Help me out here I lost count." Reagan said.
"I never said that!" Haizaki said.
"Then who's voice is that in the recording?" Karin asked, hands on her hips.
"You did this s[censored] didn't you!? You think this is funny!?" Haizaki said, getting in Nimona's face, genuinely not happy.
Nimona bit one of his thumbs, causing Haizaki to howl in pain.
"You little ba[censored]!" Haizaki said.
"Shouldn't have left it out dude." Nimona said.
"The only joke around here is you." Tsukishima said to Haizaki, who turned to look at the blocker. "I tried to remain neutral on you. Give you a chance to maybe change compared to Mr. Edge Lords over there who are at a point where they won't, but there's a point to where enough is enough. You can't seem to take anything seriously. And when someone calls you out on it the first thing you want to do is try to fight someone. Guess what mister tough guy? Just going around fighting people and picking on people that don't look to fight isn't being tough. It's pathetic."
"I really don't know if I can defend you on this." Molly said to Haizaki frankly.
"Defend me on what? I'm telling you I never said this!" Haizaki said.
"Cut it out Haizaki. You're just making yourself look more like an idiot than you already are." Aomine said, eyes half open.
"Shut up." Haizaki said, now gritting his teeth in anger.
"In any other case, since you've already been in a challenge, you wouldn't participate. But, I'll give you a chance to back up that talk. You'll be one of the four representing your team in this challenge." Yami said.
"You gotta be kidding me." Reagan said, facepalming.
"But, your team will be going last. The Rats, since they won the challenge yesterday, will be going first." Chris said.
"Kuroko, Lanolin, Monta, Becky Botsford! You four will be representing your team!" Cody announced.
"Yo Kuroko." Kagami said as the others were heading to the training dojo. Kuroko turned. "Good luck out there man." He said, extending a fist for a fist bump which Kuroko accepted.
"Right. I'll do my best." Kuroko said.
"Yeah you better. Or I'm gonna strangle you." Kagami said.
"What?"
"You mean you didn't hear me yesterday!? You're somethin' else man! Now I'm definitely strangle you if you don't do well!"
"Uh..."
"Just get out there man!" Kagami said.
"Break a leg out there Tetsu." Aomine said. "But don't do too well. I'm still gonna try to beat you." He said, a bit of a smile on his face, which caused Kuroko to smile back.
"Wait a sec, weren't you already in a challenge?" Weiss asked Aomine.
"Wha- oh." Aomine said, instantly slumping over. "I hate these rules."
"Alright. Now we get to see first hand what the Phantom Sixth Man is made of." Isagi thought.
"Alright. Asta! Noelle! Watch closely! You might learn a thing or two." Yami said to the two Black Bull members.
"Yes!" Noelle and Asta said simultaneously, nodding.
"Good luck!" Starlee said as Kuroko passed.
"Thanks."
With Kuroko entering last, Cody pressed a button on the remote he now had in his hand, changing their surrounds, and in some of their cases, their clothes.
Round 1: Rats: Kuroko, Lanolin, WordGirl, Monta
New York Streets, 2105(Day)
Target Time for Bonus: 7 minutes
Lanolin's clothes were the same. Becky was not in her WordGirl persona, while Monta was in red armor that notably had the number 80 on it.
"Well, so much for keeping this a secret. If I was trying to anyway." WordGirl said, looking at her clothes.
"Check it out! MAX cool armor!" Monta said, looking at the armor that he was wearing. His arms seemed to have been specially enhanced as well for gripping objects, perfect for a guy like him that prides himself on catching.
Everyone looked back at Kuroko, who had red, white and black robes. On the side of him in a pouch was a blue book. He also wore a white hat on his head.
"What's up with the magician look for Kuroko?" Lucy asked, not expecting that out of him.
"Maybe we'll get to see him do some magic?" Akko proposed.
"Maybe but, Kurokocchi's not a magician. At least not in a literal sense." Kise said.
"Literal sense? What are you talking about?" Yulaw asked.
"I have a hunch. But we'll just have to see." Kise said, closely observing.
"Nice outfit. Let's hope whatever you can do can help." Lanolin said to Kuroko.
"Right." Kuroko said, nodding before they ran, or in the case of Monta and WordGirl's case, flew around the city, looking around.
"So where's the enemies we're supposed to fight?" Monta said, still not seeing anything.
"It's too noisy." WordGirl said, referring to all of the traffic around New York. She began to focus and try and block out the noise. Focusing, she felt as if she could hear something under that was slowly creeping upwards. But it didn't sound like anything normal.
"Get off the ground!" WordGirl warned, causing all of them to jump. Lanolin, WordGirl and Monta were all able to avoid the culprits of the noises coming from below them. But oddly, Kuroko wasn't attacked.
The culprits were several different humanoid aliens wearing blue cloaks that had a red insignia on the back of them.
"Street Phantoms." Raph commented.
"I figured things weren't going to be as easy as robots." Blaze said.
"Time to say goodnight!" One of the Phantoms said before attempting to hit WordGirl, only for her to dodge around the punch easily, grab the arm and then toss him into a wall before he disappeared.
"Well, that's one down." WordGirl said.
"I don't know. With WordGirl there, along with Lanolin's leadership, they should be able to mop the floor with these guys!" Tangle said confidently.
"There's a reason why Yami emphasized teamwork so much. I highly doubt things will be this easy." Blaze said.
"OH YEAH!" Monta yelled, flying towards a Street Phantom only to fly right through him, which caused him to blink in confusion before looking back.
"Monta!" Lanolin called out.
"OH NO!" Monta yelled before colliding into the wall.
"Heh heh heh heh heh." Another Street Phantom said, appearing from below the ground, advancing towards Monta to attack him with the energy dagger he had in his hand.
"Hey! You wanna attack someone? Attack me." WordGirl said, flying in front of Monta.
"Whatever you say." The Phantom said, attempting to attack her with the dagger only for her to stop his attack by grabbing his arm. Before she could think of her next move, Monta flew again and sent him flying with a direct charge attack.
After going into a set of trash cans, he disappeared as well.
"Um." Kuroko said, seeing that no one was around him, confused. He grabbed the book from his pouch.
"He's taking out his book. It must be a spell book!" Akko said.
"Does he a Grimoire too?" Asta wondered.
Lanolin attempted to attack the Phantom next to her but he phased into the ground, completely absorbing her attack. He reappeared and grabbed her only for her to step on one of his feet, causing him to let go in pain, with her knocking him down with a punch. Soon, more appeared before the four. Monta tried to attack another one only for him to get elbowed in the stomach, causing him to fall down. But before he could be kicked and hit again, Lanolin used her wispon to knock them back with sound vibrations.
Hits Remaining: 2
"Wait a second, how come none of them are attacking Kuroko?" Asta noted as they took care of more Phantoms.
"They have intangibility! If we just keep attacking them blindly they'll phase through our attacks." WordGirl said.
"Uh, intangi- what?" Monta said, scratching his head in confusion.
"Intangibility. It means the inability to be perceived by touch. In this case, they're unable to be touched by people or objects whenever they choose to." WordGirl explained.
"So how come you could touch them then?"
"The key is to counter them. When they try to attack, they have to be able to actually touch you. Which means, they're vulnerable to counterattacks." Lanolin said.
"Ah! I see!" He said before he balled a fist confidently. "A counterattack! Got it!"
"Lanolin." Kuroko said.
"AH!" Lanolin yelped in surprise at him being right next to her, causing her to instinctively kick back, before performing a sweep and tripping him up off the ground, causing him to fall.
"Luckily, friendly fire doesn't count." Chris said.
"Sorry. I thought you were a phantom. But please don't scare me like that." Lanolin said to Kuroko.
"No worries." Kuroko said, getting up as more Street Phantoms appeared, some of them having rifles this time.
"Get behind me!" Lanolin said. She dodged the blaster shots that were coming her way before she started to formulate her counter attack. Timing until they attacked again, she attacked back, changing her cowbell into handheld mode, firing concussive blasts at the Phantoms, sending the three flying.
"What exactly were you doing? You did basically nothing so I forgot you were even here." Lanolin said.
"I was taking a look at the book I had." Kuroko said.
"And what did it say?"
"Nothing." Kuroko said.
Lanolin was about to pop a vein. "Are you serious? You spent all of that time reading nothing?"
"Unfortunately. But, I think I figured it out."
"Enlighten me. What exactly did you figure out?" Lanolin asked as Monta was heard yelling as he and WordGirl fought more Street Phantoms.
"Your blasts with your Wispon. Whenever you can, I need you to send them towards me."
"What? Do you know what you're asking!?"
"Yes. I know how confusing that sounds. But please. Trust me. I will be your shadow."
"Does he realize he's asking her to attack him? Is he out of his mind?" Noelle commented.
"What have you got up your sleeve this time Kurokocchi?" Kise thought.
"Just make sure you don't do anything disruptive. We're faring pretty well so far." Lanolin said.
More Street Phantoms along with purple slug-like creatures appeared. And they were the largest number they've ever been. It was nearing five minutes that passed.
"Those are a lot of Street Phantoms." Ben commented.
They then expanded in size.
"Um, guys, do you remember them being that big? 'Cause I sure don't." Mikey said.
"You're finished!" One of the Street Phantoms said.
WordGirl tried to use her cold breath, but they went through it as if it was nothing.
"Sorry, but that's not gonna work." A green, one-eyed Phantom said before several slugs blocked her path from trying to fly away.
"FLYING TO THE MAX!" Monta yelled, flying towards the Phantoms and the slug which missed badly. What none of them expected, was for Kuroko to appear out of nowhere and somehow bring in Monta into his hat before redirecting him and releasing him as quickly as he brought him in, sending him right through the wall of slugs and two Phantoms, taking all of the aforementioned adversaries out.
Several of the phantoms were also frozen as well, thanks to him redirecting the cold breath as well.
"Is he... redirecting stuff with his hat?" Weiss asked.
The carnage continued as they continued to clean house on the Street Phantoms, even with their size and weapons. For even when they phased through the initial attacks, Kuroko would quickly run to redirect them, out of their eyesight, the attacks surprising and hitting all of them.
"And there it is." Hanamiya commented.
"There what is? What's going on?" Julie asked.
"It's his misdirection." Akashi said.
"Misdirection? As in magic tricks?" Akko asked.
"Correct. What I fail to understand is how exactly this would work for someone who has no access to magic whatsoever." Diana said.
"Yes. Akashi, please explain. Does Kuroko have some sort of hidden magical ability?" Noelle asked.
Kuroko continued to appear, sometimes in front, sometimes behind, and sometimes on the side of the Phantoms, redirecting missed attacks, and in the case of WordGirl and Monta, redirecting them as well as they continued to dispatch the phantoms.
"He does not. Diana is correct. Unlike you all, Kuroko has no magical ability whatsoever." Akashi said.
"So he's like me?" Asta asked.
"Perhaps. That remains to be seen. Though in the case of Kuroko, he is manipulating his opponent's vision. Compared to every single contestant here, Kuroko is physically one of, if not the weakest here. Naturally, this would cause him to not be considered a threat to anyone. Pair that with his lack of fundamental skills of basketball including the ability to even shoot, and from the outside looking in, Kuroko would be considered useless to any team." Akashi began to explain.
"However, he has found a way to turn his weakness into a strength, using his weak presence to make seemingly invisible passes, supporting his teammates while simultaneously staying in the shadows." He continued as Lanolin sent a wave of concussive air blasts that wasn't even close to hitting anything.
"What was that?" One of them said, before laughing and attempting to throw a blade at Lanolin. What he didn't notice was Kuroko appear right on the side of him and redirect the blast back in his direction.
"That miss was completely intentional." Hiruma commented.
"What? But how could she just know that Kuroko would be there in enough time?" Tangle asked.
"Kuroko asked her to not be afraid to send blasts his way. She doesn't know. But she's putting her trust in him." Hiruma explained.
"So what about the fact that no one has tried to attack him. What's that all about?" Asta asked.
"That's because of his weak presence. Naturally, Kuroko is hard to notice or even sense, especially in large crowds. A big reason why he is ignored." Akashi said.
"I knew something was off." Natsu said.
"What do you mean by that?" Lucy asked.
"You should already know what I'm getting at here Lucy. I'm talking about my enhanced sense of smell."
"You mean you couldn't... smell him? I don't get it." Bennett said.
"Everybody's got a scent. The strange thing was, there wasn't much of one coming from him at all. And Mayuzumi's up there too. That's a big reason why I've had trouble noticing them."
"It's not just scent. It's strength too." Yami thought. "The second he passed by me and I didn't notice him, I figured something was wrong. Normally, I can sense people's strength, no matter how weak or strong they are. But him. I couldn't sense anything. It's not a case of he's weak or he's got no strength. It's as if he didn't even exist."
Hanamiya laughed which caused several of the Breakers to look at him. "Say what you will about what he can't do, but he still found a way to be a pain in his opponent's a[censored]es. He's the very definition of a team player."
"Now I see why he's the Phantom Sixth Man. And in a place like this where there's so many teammates around, there's not much he really has to do other than just support them. He'd definitely thrive in this type of environment. Next step, is beating him and eliminating him."
"Couldn't you just keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't do anything?" Hinata asked.
"It's not that simple." Hanamiya said. "You need to do more than just 'keep an eye on him'. Simply just doing that will get you nowhere as a matter of fact. It'll only get harder and harder to do that the more players are involved, and naturally, your eyes will start to drift other places. And once he catches your guard down, by the time you try to correct it, it's already too late."
The four Rats returned.
"So how do we stop it then genius? You seem to have some experience or knowledge." Tsukishima said.
"I'm still trying to figure that out. The last time I thought I had those two and their team Seirin figured out, that b[censored]d figure out a way to cut through my Spider Web. Besides, I don't know why you're in such a rush anyway. The game's just got started. Enjoy yourself." Hanamiya said.
"Spider Web? What's that? Could that be his ability?" Isagi thought.
"Not sure how much I can enjoy myself when there's a guy running amok on the other team doing magic tricks and no one can seem to figure out his secrets on how to stop it." Tsukishima said.
"There's nothing impressive being simply a supporting team member. If you can't even fend for yourself without help how can you even be called useful?" Urien commented.
"He's done a lot more s[censored] than your a[censored] that's for sure." Aomine said, using a more aggressive tone with Urien.
"Shut your mouth. I never remembered asking for your opinion." Urien said.
"You first." Aomine said.
Urien grabbed him with Aomine doing the same.
Yami grabbed both of their heads. "That's enough! If you wanna settle your differences, you better do it someplace else. 'Cause this isn't the place for it! We clear?"
"Crystal." Aomine said before both let each other go.
***Confessional***
Aomine(Storm Kings):
"I don't give a damn if Tetsu is on another team. I'm not gonna sit here and let a guy that's barely done anything other run around and attack monsters that mind you, weren't even trying to attack back talk trash to someone that's done more to help his team than he has. And I know what you're thinking: 'But Aomine, you haven't done much either'. Yeah, I know. But when I do do something, you can bet I'll back up my talk with action. And until Urien does the same thing, he needs to shut his damn mouth."
***End Confessional***
"I don't know. Considering they just got a B rank, which was almost an A, I'd say there's some good things to take away from this." Yami said.
"B RANK TO THE MAX!" Monta celebrated only for Hiruma to kick him, sending him rolling like a bowling ball into Serling and seconds later, causing TV remotes and VR sets to fall on the floor.
"Why must I be the one to receive such misfortune all the time? I only do my job. And this is how I'm repaid." Serling said.
"Why would you do that? Is there something wrong with being excited?" May asked.
"I never said that. But the f[censored]ing shrimp is acting like we won the game when we haven't. A B rank doesn't secure anything for us." Hiruma said.
"Gotta say, I agree with him on that. The other two teams still have a chance to surpass you so we'll see what happens. Now then, before we get to the next team, there's some things I want to talk about with the four that were there. What you did well in and what you could do better in." Yami started.
"First off, Kuroko. Standing there doing nothing isn't going to get you anywhere. If you're going to do something like that when your team is right there with you, unless you've got some non-verbal communication, I suggest you actually tell them about it. And secondly, I don't know if it's because you decided not to show it yet, but you'll need to be more than just a guy that supports his teammates. Because sometimes, you won't have that luxury. It could just be you and the other guy. Or it could be you by yourself. If you get into any of those scenarios and you can't handle it, understand that your team is finished! You figured out how to overcome your limitations and continue to help your team. Well I want you to keep overcoming them. And help yourself!"
Kuroko nodded.
"Lanolin, you've got the traits of a good leader, but the one thing you need is trust. You already saw how one crazy plan turned out with Hiruma. It almost snatched you victory from the jaws of defeat. I understand you doubted what Kuroko was asking you to do, but history should have told you that it could have been for a good reason. Trusting your teammates, especially as their leader, can go a long way in not only their morale, but their faith in you."
"Right. I understand." Lanolin said.
"Monta. What the hell were you doing out there!? Your reckless flying and attacking caused your team to lose a hit. And to add on to it, you kept attacking even though they kept phasing through them. I understand some of the attacks were intentional for Kuroko to redirect them, but some of them weren't. I appreciate the energy, but having high energy doesn't mean being a dumba[censored]!"
"Sorry guys! I'll do better next time!" Monta said to his teammates.
"WordGirl. Don't have much to say about you honestly. But, I'd say trying to give a dictionary definition in the middle of a fight isn't ideal. Don't know. That's just my two cents though." He said, the last part being a little sarcastic.
"Sorry. It's a bit of a force of habit." Becky B. said.
"Overall, you did pretty good. Kuroko and Monta are really the biggest contributing factors for why you got a B. And that can go both ways. On one hand, Kuroko's attack rerouting allowed you to stay one step ahead of your enemies and get the jump on them. On the other, had you have done this sooner you may have gotten a higher grade with the time bonus. And that's all I gotta say. Next team, come on up." Yami said.
"Ruby, Heather, Louie and Akashi! You're up!" Cody announced.
"Break a leg out there sis." Yang said.
"Was that a subtle double meaning or..." Ruby started.
"Yeah. It kinda was."
"Guys." Louie said.
"What is it?" Ruby asked, expecting some sort of positive words from the triplet.
"Don't expect much from me. Just letting you know that now." Louie said.
"Well, if that's the case, then we know exactly who to eliminate in case we lose." Heather said.
"Oh. Maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud then." Louie said.
"Yeah. Not exactly the smartest choice." Huey D. said.
"Nonsense. I have faith that you'll do well." Akashi said, giving the duck a confident and assuring smile.
"Uh, thanks. I guess." Louie said.

Louie(Storm Kings):
"I don't know if I should be encouraged or weirded out. Or both. Seriously, look at his eyes! Why are they like that?"
***End Confessional***
The four entered the simulator with the locations changing.
Round 2: Kings: Ruby, Louie, Akashi, Heather
Target Time for Bonus: 9 minutes
New York, Past(Night with Rain)(TMNT 2003 Video Game)
While Ruby was still in her original outfit, complete with her gear, Heather had a camouflage colored suit with orange goggles and a laser rifle. Louie was wearing a business suit and had a briefcase. Akashi was wearing a red cape over a white tunic that extended to his knees. He also had a golden staff.
"Business man! Makes sense." Louie said before looking at Akashi. "Emperor huh? Can I use the staff?"
"Louie, focus please." Ruby said.
"I think I'll hold on to it. Something tell me I'll need it." Akashi said.
"Looks like New York. Our New York." Leonardo said, referring to the New York in their time period.
"Looks like they're gonna be kickin' shell in our backyard. Sort of." Raph said.
As they advanced through the streets of New York, they came across two men with steel pipes in their hands.
"Purple Dragons." Raph said.
"You look like you're lost ladies." The one on the left said.
"How about we take ya home?" The right one asked.
"As if." Heather said before shooting the first one, causing him to disappear. This caused the second one to try to attack Ruby only for her to dodge the attack. Before she could strike back, Heather had already shot him.
Not even a few seconds later, more Purple Dragon thugs were seen running at them.
TMNT 2003 Video Game OST- Streets Plays
Changing Crescent Rose into its Scythe mode, Ruby was ready to do battle.
They were circling them.
"Ask us nicely, and maybe we'll go easy on ya." One of them said.
"NOT!" Another one said before they all converged on the four.
Ruby and Heather did most of the heavy lifting, cleaning house on most of the thugs. One of them tried to attack Akashi. But he sidestepped the swing from the pipe and tripped him up with his staff before Heather finished him off while Louie looked in his suitcase to see what he was working with. Which surprised him.
The problem was, as he was looking, two of the thugs decided to go after him.
"Come on kid. Let's get this over with." One of them, who had a baseball bat in his hands said.
"I'm in trouble." Louie said, backing away, a worried look on his face before revealing the fire hydrant that was behind him.
"Not!" He said before taking out a wrench to open the fire hydrant behind him quickly, which also to his surprise, worked, sending one of the thugs flying backwards.
"Alright kid. Enough foolin' around!" He said before getting ready to strike him with the chain he had in his hand.
"Wait! I got a proposition for you my good man."
"Yeah? And what could you possibly give me? Your lunch money?"
"Actually, way more than that." Louie said before showing what was in the suitcase.
The second the Purple Dragon member looked at what was in the suitcase, he was hit by a boxing glove that knocked him square in the jaw. Heather finished him off.
"A businessman that does tricks. Eat your heart out Woodchuck Guidebook!" Louie called out.
"Okay, that's actually pretty fitting for him honestly." Dewey commented.
"Still not better than the guidebook! Way more useful stuff in there than just some tricks." Huey D. said.
"Am I detecting a little jealousy my dear brother?" Dewey asked.
"What? Pfft. Nah. I'm not jealous. Much. It's not like Iwas anticipating getting my turn at the super cool virtual simulator." Huey D. said.
"Yep. He's jealous." Dewey said low to Randy.
"Yeah, I know. He said it." Randy said back.
"Oh. Darn it! He ruined it!"
As they ran past an alleyway, a group of Purple Dragons tried to ambush them, which worked as one of them threw one of the metal pipes they had at Heather.
"Ouch! Good thing that didn't actually happen or she might have been suffering some major brain damage." Chris said.
Hits Remaining: 2
"Hey guys! Over here!" Louie said, standing by himself before pretending to check the time on the watch that he also had on his wrist.
Three of them tried to get the jump on him. Literally in one of their cases, as they tried to perform a leaping overhead attack with one of the wooden stakes he had, which seemed to have been something they stole from a construction area.
What they didn't expect was for him to dive out of the way, causing them to land on the spring that was behind him that sent them all flying.
Ruby, using her Semblance, confused the remaining thugs with her speed and made quick work of them.
"We're already down to two hits. We cannot afford any more mistakes." Akashi said.
"That's easy for you to say when you've probably done the least out of all of us. How many of these guys have you beaten again?" Heather said, now recovered from the hit she took earlier.
"I'm not much of a fighter honestly. But, that doesn't mean I can't help in other ways." Akashi said.
"Don't tell me you're about to do that disappearing stuff too." Heather said.
"Actually no."
"You're gonna show us that Emperor Eye?" Ruby asked, curious to see what Akashi's ability in action.
"No. There's no need. I have something else in mind. Don't expect any 'show stopping outbursts' from me. But I'm confident that the same won't be said for you all." He put his staff on the ground as a red ripple was seen. Bright red electricity started to come from Akashi's eyes.
"Wait. He's going into the Zone too?" Isagi said before looking at all of them."No. Wait. Are they..."
"What the juice!? All of them can do it!?" Randy said in shock.
All four of their eyes had red electricity coming out of them.
"I don't know what's happening. But I like it already." Louie said. More thugs along with small robots appeared as they continued to traverse the streets. But it seemed like all of them had an extra "pep in their step" if you will, especially Ruby.
"Mousers." Donatello said. "They may not be a threat in smaller numbers. But in bigger ones, they can get annoying pretty fast."
"I don't get it. How are all of them in the Zone?" Adrien asked.
"They're not." Midorima said.
"That's not what it seems like to me." Yang said.
"It seems like it, yeah. But, in reality it isn't. What you're seeing is their potentials raised to a level directly below the true Zone." Hanamiya began to explain. "And it's all thanks to him." He said, pointing to Akashi as everyone seemed to be benefitting from the boost, especially Ruby, who was moving even faster beyond what she could normally go even with her Semblance, which also got a boost as well.
"Unless they secretly love basketball and really, really have a knack for it, you can forget about any of them hoping to achieve the true Zone. They don't meet the requirements to even stand a hundred feet within the gates of the Zone. But, with Akashi there, he gives them a taste of what it feels like. That's his Zone." Hanamiya explained. "I guess you could say it's the Emperor bestowing his power on his warriors."
Louie put his hands out in front of one of them, attempting to shoot lightning out of them.
"Aw man! I was really looking forward to doing an evil laugh too." Louie said before being whacked by the Purple Dragon thug with a punch.
Heather, after shooting one of them, quickly shoots at the one that hit Louie.
Hits Remaining: 1
"Come on! Get it together! Thanks to you, we're down to one hit!" Heather said to Louie said.
"Yeah, yeah. I got it." Louie said, getting up.
"So his Zone allows him to share his power with others? Nice. I for one love seeing Heather like this." Alejandro said.
"Yes. However, unlike the individual Zones that you saw Kagami and Aomine use, Akashi receives no benefit from it. However, someone like Ruby benefitting from the power of the Zone, even if it isn't the entire benefit that Aomine or Kagami would receive, is a terrifying sight." Midorima said.
Which was shown as Ruby blitzed all of the enemies in the area that appeared before quickly putting her scythe in the ground and spinning around it as if it was a flagpole, kicking all of the surrounding Purple Dragons in the process.
"And then there's... Louie." Riley said.
Louie was the one out of three that didn't seem much different outside of being slightly faster a bit compared to Ruby who was faster and could react even quicker as well.
"Is it me or does he just look pretty much the same?" Asta asked.
"That's probably because there's not much there to really improve on if I had to guess." Aomine said. "If you're somebody like Ruby or Yang that's already good, having something like the Zone would turn you into even more of a monster than you already were. But, if you're somebody like Louie. There's not much there honestly."
"So what about someone that's a sports master like myself?" Dewey asked.
"Don't know. Have to see you play first. But, honestly, if you're anything like him, no."
"Monster's right. Ruby's always been fast. But this is ludicrous." Weiss said as Ruby singlehandedly decimated the rest of the mousers and Purple Dragons before sending them in a vortex even larger than the one she created during their food fight at Beacon.
Music Stops
"CLEAR!"
"What the hell? What was their time?" Rally asked in disbelief that they were done already.
"Five minutes. And some change." Yami said as the four left out of the simulator.
"What? That's about four minutes below the bonus time!" Kurt said, in as much disbelief as Rally.
"You heard him right. That was their time." Starlee said, checking herself to confirm.
"Alright, alright. Enough with the gushing. And before you start whining or complaining, yes, the enemies were different. But, there were way more to deal with compared to what the first team of four had to deal with. And with these four taking two hits, this proved to be a different challenge within itself." Yami said.
"Now then, it's time to give you your rating. A!"
"Yes!" Ruby cheered.
"Woohoo!" Heather cheered.
"Yes!" Courtney cheered with the two giving high fives to one another.
"Don't expect that to happen often."
"I still don't like you!"
"You know, I misjudged you. Keep doing stuff like that and we'll keep on winning." Heather said to Akashi.
"You haven't won anything yet. We're up next." Kageyama said.
"Exactly. So don't celebrate too early." Yami started.
"Louie! What the hell was that at the end? You fooling around cost your team a hit. And it could have costed them the entire round! Yeah, that little trickster stuff may seem like fun, but at the very least, it took care of business. What you did at the end didn't do that. Focus on getting results first and foremost. Play with your food against the wrong guys and they'll make you pay for it dearly. I know I would because I would slice your a[censored] in half if you ever decided to mock me and not finish me off!"
"Uh, thanks?" Louie said, not sure how to feel after being threatened to be cut in half.
"Akashi! That team Zone's stuff's great. But, I got a problem with you saying that you're not much of a fighter and then being content with that. If you're not much of a fighter, then you better make yourself one! I'm not saying you've gotta be on my level or even Ruby's from what I saw, but being satisfied with where you are doesn't sit right with me. And it shouldn't with you either!"
Akashi nodded. "Right. Thank you for the advice."
"'Thank you for the advice'. Aw be quiet and get to surpassin' your limits already." Yami said.
"Ruby! I don't have much to say about you. You were great before that little power boost you got and you were better afterwards too. But, you still can improve. Don't think you're perfect just because I said this. Continue to hone your skills. And make you keep that speed of yours under control! Don't get cocky and speed happy, and then lose control. It could cost you!"
"Right! Thank you!" Ruby R. said.
"And finally Heather. Eh. You didn't do anything special here honestly."
"What? But I-"
"Did I say I was done? Let me finish!" Yami said, as it suddenly felt like he was towering over Heather.
"Sure! You do that!" Heather said nervously.
"But, you got results, and that's all that matters. But pay attention to your surroundings damn it! Not paying attention is exactly how you got caught in the head from that pipe toss! Think about what would have happened if that was real. Or if it was something worse. You could have been killed!" Yami said.
"Fair. I'll try to pay attention a little more."
***Confessional***
Heather(Storm Kings):
"As a leader in the clear best team here, I've got to set an example for the newbies. If I want them to do better, then I've got to do better too. An all-around fair assessment."
"Besides, if I acted like an idiot and complained, I'm pretty sure Din and some of the others like Midorima wouldn't like that and might try to stand against me. This is going to be a pretty long game, and honestly, a very difficult one to win. And I'm pretty sure we're getting close to a point to where alliances are starting get formed. I can just feel it. If I want to last, I've got to stay on as many people's good side as I can. Except Courtney. It's no secret that we're not friends. Even she would admit that. Why do you think we hated the fact that we had to be on the same team together."
***End Confessional***
"Now for the positives. Overall, you guys did very well. Well below the bonus time. Fast, efficient, and powerful fighting that had some pretty decent teamwork, especially with that Team Zone. Only reason you don't get an S, is because of those hits you took. Now then, last team, get your a[censored]es up here!"
"Johnny, Miyuki, Zoey, and Haizaki! You're up!" Cody said.
"Wish me luck." Johnny said before winking at Karin and Blaineley.
"I can't even have faith that we'll win honestly. For multiple reasons." Tsukishima said, looking at both Johnny and Haizaki before sneezing was heard.
"All in favor of me giving Haizaki another black eye if we lose and voting him off say aye!" Bad Launch said.
"Aye!" Several team members said with the exception of Molly, Libby and Hanamiya, with Hanamiya not saying anything moreso because he could care less about the outcome, internally glad that he made the right decision to not associate himself with him.
"Hey! Cornrows!" Hiruma called out.
Haizaki reluctantly walked over to where Hiruma was. "What?"
He then whispered in his ear. "That voice clip Chris played? It's fake. I made it."
"You WHAT!?" Haizaki said, burning with anger before throwing a punch at Hiruma. But, inches away from his face, he stopped.
"YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY!? YOU LYING TO ME IN MY DAMN FACE!?"
"Does it look like I'm lying?" Hiruma said before holding up the tape and playing the recording which caused everyone to look in surprise.
"You... BAS[CENSORED]D!" Haizaki said before picking him up.
"Haizaki! That's enough!" Jasmine said, trying to pull him away.
"Hey! Get your a[censored] in that simulator! Now!" Yami said.
Haizaki put down Hiruma before quietly walking to the simulator, fists balled, gritting his teeth as he was seething in anger.
"Manajerk." Hiruma said to Mamori.
"I really wish you'd stop calling me that. But what is it?"
Hiruma led her to a table that they both sat at.
"I hope you're ready to take some notes."
"Always."
"This time though, I want you to focus on one person."
"Who?"
"You'll find out."
Mamori was a little surprised by this but decided to get to work.
"I hope you know what you're doing." Mamori thought as she took out a notebook.
As the four were getting teleported, Donatello noticed the notebook.
"If you want a faster way to take notes, there's some stuff around here you can use." The turtle offered.
"No thanks. I'm not very good with computers to be honest." Mamori said.
"Understandable." Donatello said before noticing where they were. "Is this... where I think it is?"
"What is it?"
"It's... New York but... set in another future." Donatello said.
Round 3: Wave Breakers: Miyuki, Zoey, Johnny, Haizaki
Time Goal for Bonus: 10 minutes
New York, Alternate Future, 2035(TMNT 2003 3: Mutant Nightmare Video Game)
The four looked around.
TMNT 3 Mutant Nightmare OST- Future New York City Plays
"Wow. Why couldn't we get the other places?" Johnny said, looking at the ruined buildings, ruined cars among other things that made the Big Apple a shell of its former self.
"It's the same place." Miyuki said.
"Doesn't look like it." Johnny said.
"It's pretty cool that we get to go to two New Yorks. Even if one is virtual and, isn't exactly looking like... well, New York." Zoey said.
"Enough sightseein'. Let's go." Haizaki said before running.
"Haizaki, wait!" Zoey called out before the others ran after him.
"I remember this place. Unfortunately. This takes place in 2035. Here, the Shredder won. My brothers? They all grew apart. They weren't the same turtles you know and love here. Yeah, when I got teleported there, I and my future other self and my alternate brothers were able to turn the tide and beat him but..." Donatello started.
"But what? What happened?" Mamori asked.
"All of them. Leo, Mikey, Raph. They all died." Donatello said, a somber look on his face.
"I'm sorry." Mamori said.
"Don't be. It was sad, yes. But, they sacrificed themselves to stop the Shredder. And plus, I and my brothers here, made sure that something like the Shredder winning, would never happen in our timeline. I wanted to make sure I did my part to make sure that all of that pain and loss would never happen in our New York. And because of that, we're here today." Donatello said, a smile on his face now. "Sorry. I shouldn't have brought that up and ruined the mood."
Mamori gave him a friendly and reassuring smile. "It-"
"This MORON!" Dan was heard yelling out.
The two looked back at the screen to see what was happening.
"I just realized I'm distracting you from taking your notes. I really apologize!" Donatello said.
Revealing what happened was Haizaki being hit by parts of an old building that fell off.
"You're lucky this is the virtual world. You could have been hurt!" Zoey said.
"Shut the hell up and stay outta my way!" Haizaki said before continuing to run. A door opened. Foot Ninjas came out of it.
"Foot Ninjas. They're in for one heck of a test now." Leonardo said.
"Ninjas? I got this." Johnny said before doing several karate poses.
"Now watch and learn Zoey. From a real Karate master." Johnny said, wearing a Karate gi. But before he could even attack, the Foot Ninja sent him flying with a kick into trash cans.
Hits Remaining: 1
"Okay. You're tougher than I thought. I can see why you're called 'Foot Ninjas'." Johnny said.
"HIIIII-YA!" Zoey shouted before combating several Foot Ninjas. She had a staff in her hand. She took out two, but one of them had snuck behind her and was about to hit her before Miyuki tapped him on the shoulder. He was wearing body armor along with goggles and military gloves.
The Foot Ninja attempted to attack him with the javelin he had but Miyuki caught it with his hands, stopping him in his tracks. The Ninja tried to pull away, but Miyuki's stronger than expected grip, which was thanks to the simulator, stopped him from doing so. This allowed Zoey to take him out.
"Thanks. You're a lifesaver."
"More like I saved Haizaki and Johnny's lives." Miyuki joked.
A larger Foot Guard along with Foot Ninjas with bow and arrows and a blue spider-like robot, which was an upgraded Mouser, also appeared.
Haizaki attempted to punch the larger Foot Guard, which surprisingly worked, but it only staggered him back. The Guard grabbed him and sent him to the ground before getting ready to end it with an overhead two-fisted smash attack on his back. But Miyuki, using the Spear he had, tossed it at the Guard, which went inside his arm, which revealed him to have actually been a robot.
"Ba[censored]d." Haizaki said before punching him right in the head after realizing it was a robot with no remorse. When he did, his clothes suddenly changed to the same red gi that the Foot Guard was wearing.
"Huh. Well this is new." Haizaki said. As he was admiring the new threads, a lone Foot Ninja that Zoey and Miyuki didn't take out was aiming at Haizaki.
"Uh oh. Kid!" Johnny called out.
"What the heck are whinin' about?" Haizaki said before Johnny decided to just try to save him himself, jumping forward for a leaping kick. The Foot Ninja noticed this and ducked, causing Johnny to hit a wall.
"I know I've probably said this already but, Johnny really is a dumba[censored]." Kageyama said.
The Ninja resumed his aim at Haizaki only for Zoey to take him out.
More mousers appeared with Miyuki picking up the bow and arrow and taking out two of them. Zoey took out another.
Haizaki picked up and threw one of the now red mousers that appeared on the ground and then prepared to perform the same overhead smash that he saw the Foot Guard do. He then smashed it.
"That's the same move the Foot Guard from earlier tried to do!" Leo said.
"Did he, take that move?" Asta said.
"Yeah. Take is exactly the right word." Kise said as Zoey smashed a red mouser to pieces and dodged out of the way before it self-destructed.
"So that's his ability huh?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah." Kise said.
"So what's the difference between yours and Haizaki's?" Tangle asked.
"In most cases, outside of when I have to use Perfect Copy, any move I copy is twice as fast and twice as powerful. However, in Haizaki's case, when he copies a move, he uses his own pace and rhythm, and disrupts the owner's ability to use it at the same time, rendering it temporarily useless to them. Hence stealing." Kise explained. "And don't even think about trying to use it again after he does so. Because the effects will only get worse if you do."
"Heh. I think I'm gonna get used to this. Unfortunately, these tin cans don't have a single move I can take from them." He said, looking at his hands before grinning as the mouser started to turn more red and its temperature increased. "I should take out one of those Foot Ninjas next. Think it'll be cool to learn martial arts."
"Haizaki!" Zoey called out.
"What? You wanna see it again? Where's the next guy, I'll-" Haizaki said before being tackled by Johnny.
"Sorry kid. Had to save ya there. Thank me later." Johnny said.
"Get the hell off me you moron!" Haizaki said, pushing him off. "You didn't have to save me from s[censored]! I already took the damn thing out!"
"Uh, actually-" Johnny started before Haizaki stopped him.
"Actually, I think it's about time you shut up." Haizaki said as more mousers and a couple of Foot Ninjas appeared. They made quick work of them before one was left.
"All right." Haizaki grinned. But before he could take it out, Johnny ran but got stuck in a crack on the ground and fell on top of it, causing it to disappear from how hard the impact was. An indicator was telling them to advance as there were no enemies left.
"Are you freakin' serious right now?" Haizaki said.
"Johnny! You okay?" Zoey said, running over to check on him.
"Yep. Somehow." Johnny said, realizing that he felt no pain in his foot after a few seconds. "Man, this virtual stuff is neat."
Haizaki picked him up. But not to help him, but to punch him. "Dumba[censored]! I was gonna take him out and steal his moves! But now you ruined that for me!"
"Ah. Better luck next time huh? Maybe you'll see some strong guys in the next area!" Miyuki said with a grin before seeing Haizaki move towards Johnny again.
"Wait a minute now! Calm down! I didn't know!" Johnny said to Haizaki.
"You're gonna know now. To stay outta my damn way!" Haizaki said, before getting ready to perform that same two-fisted overhead smash before Miyuki stopped him, catching his fists.
"What the... hell!? I can't move!" Haizaki said. No matter how much strength he put into the punch, he couldn't make the baseball catcher budge.
Music Stops
Once he saw an opening, Miyuki attacked him back and sent him up against a wall. He was more than just mad. He was angry. Which shocked Furuya and Eijun along with several others. Even Tsukishima was shocked. Hiruma was a little surprised as well.
"We're going ahead!" Zoey said, helping up Johnny.
"No. You need to hear this too." Miyuki said, his normal jokester and happy-go-lucky attitude gone from his voice.
"But the time, we-"
"I know." Miyuki said in an assertive tone that pretty much told Zoey that he wasn't about to change his decision.
"The hell's your problem? We're wastin' time!" Haizaki said, trying to get free from his grip.
"What's my problem. You need to be asking yourself that." Miyuki said.
"What?"
"Everyone understands you want to win. We can all see that. And appreciate that. But what you were about to do. I can't let that slide!" Miyuki said. "Let me ask you something: Do you understand what it means to be on a team? I don't think you do. This game is a team of four players. Every damn game you've been in, you've been thinking about yourself. Instead of trying to work with Kunigami you got in his way. Instead of trying to help Fiona get the sticker you tried to get in a fight with Jotaro. Instead of staying with Duncan you left him behind. Instead of using what Hiruma did as motivation you get impulsive and make stupid decisions even when Zoey tried to warn you. Instead of understanding and seeing that people are trying to help you, you think about yourself and push them away, trying to hit them!"
"Miyuki almost never talks like this!" Eijun thought.
"Miiyuki." Furuya thought, surprised to see him this genuinely angry.
"I don't care about your past with the Generation of Miracles. Or what happened with Hiruma framing you. Instead of rising above those things, you choose to do this."
He said before letting him go and walks away. "Zoey! Johnny! Let's go!"
Haizaki tries to hit Miyuki but he catches the punch and sends him back.
Miyuki turns his head to the right to look at Haizaki out the corner of his right eye as he was still against the wall. "When it's you by yourself, you can do what you want. But I won't tolerate you hitting and disrespecting my teammates! If you want to quit, then go ahead. You can quit the team after this challenge too. I don't care." He said, going to join Zoey and Johnny. "It's not like it's something you're not used to doing anyway."
Haizaki was slumped over. Head down as his teammates left him.
"Can't say I feel bad for him. He did this to himself." Doyle said frankly.
Huey F. and Akashi could only close their eyes and shake their heads while Paul and Shiro closed their eyes, already getting ready to turn the page past him and back to the challenge.
***Confessional***
Eijun(Wave Breakers):
"Man. I remember the last time Miyuki was mad like this. It was after what I said about Chris. Not this Chris. But one that's on our team. He's a third year catcher. I won't go into details why but, Miyuki respects him very much. For more than just being his senior. And me being an idiot, I said that he should just quit the team when he refused to train me until I underwent the training regimen he gave me, not understanding why he looked so unmotivated on the field and with me at first. He confronted me the exact same way he did Haizaki. Still though, it's rare to see Miyuki this upset. But I can definitely understand why. I can't respect or defend someone that has no respect for their teammates!"
***End Confessional***
Kuroko looked down in disappointment.
"What's the matter with you Tetsu? Don't tell me you actually feel sorry for him." Aomine said.
"He was one of our teammates in middle school. He ran on the court with us and we played together for two years. He has such amazing talent and gifts. Even in the few challenges he's been, he's showed it off. And he's gotten stronger. People from all over the world, that have never heard of us, gets to see that put on display." Kuroko said.
"Yeah? So what? The guy's a jerk. I don't care how much talent he has." Reagan said.
"I could care less about his talent. If he acts like trash then that's where he belongs." Karin said.
"You're not at least a little disappointed in him? I wanted to see his powers more!" Asta said.
"Why should we care about someone like him? He's not worth anyone's time. Especially mine." Noelle said.
"I'm not saying I'm okay with what Haizaki has done. I was hoping that after hearing from Momoi that Aomine punched Haizaki after his game against Kise and Kaijo in the Winter Cup, that he'd change for the better. Maybe even get along with his teammates at Fukuda Sogo."
"Wait, Momoi told you that!? How come I'm not hearing about this until now!?" Aomine said, with a comical look on his face as he yelled. "Did she tell you too Kagami?"
"Nope. Other than when Huey said this is my first time hearin' of this happenin'." Kagami said.
"How 'bout you Kise? She seems like she's comfortable telling you everything." Aomine said, pointing at Kise.
"Nope. Hasn't said a word to me about this. Like Kagami, I didn't hear about it until then, so this is pretty much news to me." Kise said.
"Don't ask." Midorima said, anticipating Aomine pointing at him. "I wasn't even aware that Haizaki was even still playing basketball then as I never bothered to watch the game."
"Same here." Akashi said.
Aomine put a hand on the back of his head. "Jeez. I'm lucky that was last school year. I'd probably get suspended from the team if it was recent with you guys are just spreadin' that around." Aomine said. "I can't wait until Momoi calls me again. Some friend she is. Not even telling me that she told you this." Aomine grumbled.
Kuroko smiled a little, knowing that Aomine was nowhere close to being serious. Like he and Aomine, Momoi and Aomine had their own special kind of friendship as well as the two knew each other since they were little kids.
He then stopped smiling and returned to a neutral expression. "None of that matters. If anything, I guess you could say I'm disappointed. Even if it was two years, those two years he was there were so meaningful to me. Just as meaningful as the time I spent with you guys."
Midorima had a surprised look on his face.
"Look, I don't think anyone here is saying that we didn't care about him at all. I tried to make friends with him. I really did. But he made it pretty clear that that wasn't in the cards. So I had to play the hand I was dealt." Kise said.
"Hiruma. I don't understand. Why would you do that? Frame him like that?" Lanolin asked.
"I can't say I'm surprised. He was a ticking time bomb. I only made it explode faster." Hiruma said, no malice in his voice. He didn't even have his usual devilish trickster grin either. "And if you're wondering how I did it, I used past clips of him from the show since the episodes air. Then, I spliced them together and adjusted the pitch and tone to try and make it sound as natural as possible. Granted, it wasn't perfect, but it did its job."
"Framing others. I'm genuinely impressed." Eliza said. "A shame that you'll soon be eliminated like everyone else. If only you weren't trying to help your little friends you could have been in this alliance too."
"I can't say I condone how they were used, but that's some pretty smart editing skills." Bren said.
"You think you can tell me when I should quit?" Haizaki said under his breath.
Flashback
"Huh? You wanna say that to me again Akashi?" Haizaki said to Akashi before grabbing him. The two were by themselves in the Teiko basketball gym. Instead of the cornrows he had now, Haizaki's hair was grey and messy. They were also both wearing the Teiko middle uniforms which had a white jacket and a blue dress shirt underneath with a black tie.
"Quit the basketball team. That's an order." Akashi said.
"What'd you say?" Haizaki said angrily before pulling him closely.
"I phrased it quite clearly and politely." Akashi said, unbothered by the fact that Haizaki grabbed him. "Though your behavior is far from praiseworthy. The fact remains you've aided in Teiko's victories. However, you can't hope to beat Kise. He's certain to replace you as a starter in the near future. And your bloated ego has made you much too difficult to keep around."
"You think that pisshead's gonna replace me!?" Haizaki asked.
"He will sooner or later. There's no way for you to escape this future."
"You bastard!"
End Flashback
"Huh!? You little ba[censored]d!" Haizaki said louder, balling up his fists.
Flashback
"Haizaki!" Kuroko said, breathing from trying to run to catch up to Haizaki who was about to throw his basketball shoes in the furnance.
"Huh? What do you want Tetsuya?" Haizaki asked, turning towards him.
"I heard you're quitting the team." Kuroko said.
"Yeah? So what?"
"So you're an amazing player, why are you doing this?"
Haizaki laughed a little. "Is that seriously what you came here to ask me? It's not as if we're friends you weird little dummy."
"That has nothing to do with it!"
Haizaki turned away from Kuroko. "Ugh. Just shut up. I'm tired of basketball. That's all there is to it. It makes me feel tired and smell bad. Why do that when I can hang out with the ladies?"
"Is that really how you feel?" Kuroko asked, genuine concern in his voice.
"Boy you really are an idiot. You think if you keep digging, you're gonna find a nugget of seriousness in there?" Haizaki said before throwing the shoes in the furnace which shocked Kuroko.
"Some guys are just bad. Others, just terrifying." He said before walking away, giving Kuroko one final goodbye. "See ya." He raised his hand as a goodbye signal.
"And that better not be pity I'm sensing from you." He said as he walked away. "For all you know, it's entirely possible staying on the team makes you way worse off than me."
End Flashback
Haizaki closed his eyes, still seething in anger. "Nah. You don't got that right. To tell me. When I can or can't quit!" Haizaki said.
Flashback
"Yeah. That's right. The guys that stayed are worse off." Haizaki said, preparing to throw his shoes away once again after losing to Kise in the Winter Cup, in the aftermath of being punched by Aomine.
But as he held the black shoes over the trash can, his arm shook as he hesitated to do so before ultimately deciding not to and to walk away into the night alone.
End Flashback
"I can already see their faces. Laughing at me. Probably hoping I quit so they can celebrate me being gone." Haizaki thought.
"GUESS WHAT? YOU AIN'T GETTIN' THAT LUXURY! CAUSE I AIN'T ABOUT TO LOSE YA HEAR ME!?" Haizaki yelled out, grey lightning in his eyes.
Everyone's eyes, including Paul's and Shiro's widened.
"Impossible." Midorima said, at a loss for words at what he just witnessed.
Akashi's jaw dropped.
Haizaki was in the Zone. And with the added benefit of the Zone, he immediately ran to where his teammates were.
"If he's in the Zone then..." Kise started.
"I can't believe it either. But there's no denying it. The evidence is as plain as day." Aomine said, shocked as well.
"So you finally decided to- huh?" Miyuki started, hearing footsteps, but stopped after seeing him immediately go on the attack and dodge a Foot Ninja with ease before easily dispatching him, back in his own clothes, and with his own fists. He then ducked a punch from another and kneed the ninja.
Haizaki stood in silence, looking as three other Foot Ninjas looked at him before converging to attack him, katana, staff and bow and arrow in hand respectively. He dodged the slice and completely slid under the arrow shot before tripping up the staff ninja and kicking the bow and arrow user. As the sword ninja spun in the air with his sword, Haizaki, instead of stepping back or to the side to dodge it, he instead used his speed to run under him as the ninja was airborne. As soon as the ninja landed he knocked him out as well.
"Then what? What were you about to say?" Sendo asked Kise.
"I think I can answer that for you." Kagami said. "Remember how I said there were three requirements to enter the Zone? The first is talent. Incredible talent. The second, is a true love for the game. And the third and final one, like I said before, is a personal trigger."
"I never thought it possible for Haizaki to enter the Zone." Akashi said.
"Why? He's got the talent for it. It's just the fact that he skipped practices right?" Weiss asked.
"That's exactly the reason. Yes, his talent is incredible. Generational actually. But, his personality was what hampered him the most. Haizaki was a person that was in several fights. Not to mention he consistently skipped practice. Something that was occurring even when Nijimura was captain and I wasn't. If anything, his talent would give him a chance at approaching the gates of the Zone." Akashi said as he pictured Haizaki in front of the dark gates of the Zone.
"However, his laziness and refusal to improve, in more ways than one, denied him that chance." Midorima said. "Had he actually provided effort, I'd say that he would have already unlocked it. However, by quitting, he did more than just allow the gates to close. He slammed them shut on himself."
"And what about now?" Luz asked.
"He's clearly in the Zone. So yeah, he definitely loves basketball. Thing is, I can't say exactly what his trigger is." Aomine said.
Yami walked away, heading towards the simulator.
"Wait, what's he doing?" Kagami asked.
"Captain Yami! Are you really entering too?" Asta asked.
"No, I'm gonna go take a s[censored] in there. What does it look like I'm doing?" Yami said.
"He's entering. But... why?" Noelle said.
Ding Ding
"What? A song? But didn't we do one already?" Zoey asked.
Kuroko's Basketball Character Song Solo Series Vol. 17: Haizaki Shogo Song 2: Tyrant performed by Masakazu Morita(Haizaki's Japanese Voice Actor) Plays
A/N: Haizaki's English VA Ray Chase still voices him here in the TD season. Just imagine him speaking Japanese and changing to his Japanese VA for this, if that makes sense.
This song will still be in Japanese but the English translation will be in parenthesis.
Short Instrumental Beginning Plays
"Good. I'm in for some singin'. And by the way, I'm doin' all of it. This song is mine!" Haizaki said.
Haizaki: Yeah.
Let's go.
Short Instrumental Plays again
Haizaki runs at more Foot Ninjas with many of them being unsuspecting of him as they were already fighting the others.
Muda ni majimebutte choro sugin daro (That straight-laced act of yours makes this way too easy)
Haizaki, eyes filled with pure anger and rage, began to make quick work of the Foot Ninjas, taking their moves and using them in the process.
Sonna teido nara isshun de ubau (If that's the best you got, your moves'll be gone in a flash)
Ore ga tehon wo misetsukete yaru ze (Here, lemme show you how it's done)
Sonde sono toki wa mou ato no matsuri (Once I do, there'll be no turning back)
One of the Foot Ninjas looked surprised after seeing that Haizaki had a katana in his hand before Haizaki mercilessly attacked him as well.
Teokure da ze / mou tsukaenai ( It's too late now / You can't use it anymore )
Waruku nee na / rizumu mo tenpo mo (This ain't half bad / Your rhythm and your tempo)
Orijinaru wa / mou modoranai (And the original are as good as gone)
Ore no mon da / yeah (They're mine now / Yeah)
He performed several kicks that he observed one of the Foot Ninjas doing. Although the rhythm and pace wasn't the same, it was definitely the same move.
Sondake migaita ima made no zenbu (All the skills you worked so hard to perfect)
Sokkuri ore ga itadaita tokoro da (Now every single one of 'em belongs to me)
Donna ni hisshi ni sugari tsuitatte (You can fight tooth and nail trying to hang on)
Zannen da na, omae no mon ja nai (Tough luck, but they ain't yours anymore)
I'm a tyrant, and I'm back on the court (I'm a tyrant, and I'm back on the court)
*Short Instrumental Break*
"Hey! Kaz! Zoey! Johnny! All of ya! You wanted me gone? Then sit back, shut up and watch. I lose this, you can get rid of me no questions asked." Haizaki said before advancing to more Foot Ninjas that appeared.
Orikou ni nante naru ki wa nai ze (I'm not interested in playing nice with the class)
Yamete hoshikerya chikarazuku de koi yo (You want me to stop, you gotta prove it by force)
Baka ga ashi dake wa hippan ja nee zo (The least you scrubs can do is stay out of my way)
Kachitakya damatte shitagattokun da na (You wanna win, then shut up and follow my lead)
Yami suddenly appeared!
"Come on! You said this was gonna be easy? Let's see what you got. You and me! You get hit once it's over, got it!?" Yami said, now holding his sword. His Grimoire was floating in front of him, the book emanating darkness.
"BRING IT ON!" Haizaki shouted, still in the Zone, a grin on his face, itching for action.
Moraru gotoki / shibarareru ka yo (Nonsense like morals ain't gonna tie me down)
Nannara mou / buttsubushite yaru (How 'bout I go ahead and crush you right now?)
Oitsumeru ze / nigerareru ka yo ( I'll hunt you down / Like hell you're getting away)
Ore ni yokose / yeah ( So hand 'em over / Yeah)
As Yami attacked him, Haizaki fearlessly attacked back with his own katana. Although Haizaki was able to keep up with him, he was unable to land any good blows against the seasoned Magic Knight.
Sondake kitaete sore ga doushita yo ( So what if you trained your heart out to get it right?)
Assari ore ga mizu no awa ni suru ze ( I'll make it all come to nothing in a heartbeat)
Donna ni awatete shigami tsuitatte (You can get all worked up trying to hold on)
Ainiku da na, nasakenante nee ze (That's just too bad, 'cause you'll get no pity from me)
I'm a tyrant, and I'm back on the court (I'm a tyrant, and I'm back on the court)
*Short Instrumental Break*
"IS THAT ALL YOU GOT? WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS BEING EASY? IF YOU WANNA WIN, YOU NEED TO ACTUALLY HIT ME!" Yami said as they continued to battle, with Yami starting to overwhelm him.
"Damn it! It's not enough! I need more!" Haizaki thought.
He jumps back and goes with the bold move of coping Yami's Katana after observing some of Yami's attacks.
"Just copying me isn't gonna be enough. You better know what you're doing with that thing kid."
"SHUT UP! I'M NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEIN' DONE! AAAAAAAAAAAH!" Haizaki yelled, running at him, with the most anger he's had in his voice since going up against Kise again. Maybe even surpassing that.
*As Haizaki and Yami match each other, Haizaki's attacks match up with the pace of the song here for this entire part, with everyone being able to see and/or hear the anger in his attacks and voice:*
Teokure da ze nanimo kamo / niteru dake no nisem on da (It's too late now, a total lost cause / This move's a fake in all but looks)
Teokure da ze nanimo kamo / seizei haitsukubare yo (It's too late now, a total lost cause / All you can do is get down and beg)
Ore no mon da / yeah (It's mine now / Yeah)
"So he actually is copying my moves. Pretty well I might add. And disrupting my own rhythm too." Yami thought as they continued to exchange attacks. Though it seemed as if Haizaki was starting to get the advantage.
Sondake migaita ima made no zenbu (All the skills you worked so hard to perfect)
Sokkuri ore ga itadaita tokoro da ( Now every single one of 'em belongs to me)
Sondake kitaete sore ga doushita yo (So what if you trained your heart out to get it right?)
Assari ore ga mizu no awa ni suru ze (I'll make it all come to nothing in a heartbeat)
Donna ni hisshi ni sugari tsuitatte (You can fight tooth and nail trying to hang on)
Zannen da na, omae no mon ja nai (Tough luck, but they ain't yours anymore)
I'm a tyrant, the most vicious player (I'm a tyrant, the most vicious player)
I'm a tyrant, and I'm back on the court (I'm a tyrant, and I'm back on the court)
*Short Ending Instrumental*
"You've got little to nothin' left! All your moves are mine!" Haizaki said.
"So I got nothin' left huh? You sure about that?" Yami said, unfazed by the fact that he was seemingly put into a corner.
"IT'S OVER!" Haizaki said before preparing to perform an overhead attack on Yami and finish him, who was about to try to strike him too.
What he didn't expect was for Yami to stop before he even got into the attack and quickly dodge the attack instead.
Song Ends
Haizaki looked back and was prepared to perform a quick backwards slash until the sword felt heavier.
"What's going on? Why the heck does this thing feel heavier all of a sudden?"
"Ya tired? What happened to all that talk about havin' nothing left? Guess you were talking about yourself." Yami said, pointing his sword at Haizaki.
"I... can't... lose!" Haizaki said, breathing hard, trying to stand up. But his legs were not on the same page with his mind. As shaky as his legs and arms were, he tried his hardest to stand, which he did. But it was all but for two seconds as he fell back on his knees as the lightning was no longer in his eyes, which meant one thing: His Zone had expired.
"Well? What are you waitin' for!? Finish me off so I can get the hell outta here!" Haizaki shouted out.
Yami was silent for several seconds.
"If any of you smart guys can here me, pull us outta here!" Yami called out.
The simulator changed back to normal.
Haizaki looked at himself. He didn't feel tired or exhausted at all, now standing up as if nothing happened.
"Tch." Haizaki put his hands in his pockets before being the first to leave the dojo.
"There. It's clear we lost! Hurry up and take me home Chris." Haizaki said. "A promise is a promise. I'm outta here."
"Hold it! You're not goin' anywhere." Yami said, blocking his path as he and the others were also out of the dojo.
"I already said I quit! Now get outta my way!" Haizaki said.
Yami put a hand on his head. "I'm sorry, run that by me again? With what happened in there it's clear you can't beat me in a fight, so it's not like you're in any position to think you can talk to me however you want."
Yami put him down.
"Alright! Despite all that happened to your team you got a B rank. Which means, you'd seemingly be tied with the Rats. But instead, you'd actually be last."
The Breakers groaned.
"We lost again!?" Kaz said, hands on his head.
"Yep. You're last. Not only did you get hit twice, but you barely even managed to get through the 20 minute mark." Yami said.
"Which means, the Kings win this challenge and get a reward! Which is-"
"Hold it." Yami said.
"Because I intervened, I'll give them a bit of leeway on this one. I'll boost 'em up to an A just for even lastin' that long." Yami said.
"What? What kind of a stu-?" Rei started before Kagami covered her mouth.
"Hey. I get it. You're mad. I am too. But the last thing you want happenin' is him attacking you."
Rei sighed. "You're right."
"Now then, just to let you know if you didn't already, this challenge was purely for training and a reward. That's it." Yami said.
"So wait. There's no elimination today?" Emma asked.
"Nope! Breakers still get the reward though." Chris said.
"So what's our reward? Food?" Kaz asked.
"First class?" Karin asked.
"No." Chris said.
"Then what is it then? Come on! Show us!" Molly said, excited.
"Hey Asta! Noelle!" Yami called out, which caused the two to look at him.
"What is it Captain?" Asta asked.
"Get over there with your new team. That's an order." Yami said, pointing to the Breakers.
"WHAAAAAA!?" Asta and several of the contestants said.
"Why are we competing with them?" Noelle asked, genuinely confused.
"Because I said so. And last time I checked, you're not exactly in a position to say no." Yami said, bellowing over Noelle.
"Yes! Right! I'll get over there right away!" Noelle said before running towards the Breakers.
"Wait, are they one of the late entries?" Natsu asked.
"Nope. I just had Yami approve of the contracts today. They're completely new additions." Chris said.
"Approve of? You mean they didn't sign them?" Courtney asked.
"Relax. I wouldn't bring them here if I didn't think they could handle it." Yami said before turning to Haizaki. "And by the way, you're staying put."
"What?" Haizaki said.
"Did I stutter? Or maybe I'll get you to hear me in a different way." Yami said, a look on his face that pretty much said he wasn't taking no for an answer.
"Oh man! This is so awesome! It's really nice to be on a team with you guys! I'll make sure to do my best!" Asta said energetically to the other Breakers.
"And by the way, just so you know, that wasn't even close to my full power. I had my Grimoire out, but I didn't even use any Dark Magic."
Haizaki's eyes widened.
"Yeah that's right. I held back. Had I actually used my magic you probably wouldn't have lasted as long as you did. And yeah, I know you can steal moves, but I wouldn't have even let you last long enough to even attempt to try to do it."
Haizaki balled his fists. "You too huh? Holdin' back against me 'cause you think I'm a joke. Did all of that just to make me feel like I was doin' something. Guess what? I ain't a baby."
"Don't know where you got that idea from. 'Cause I never said any of that. And stop makin' that stupid face it's getting on my nerves." Yami said.
"I was paying attention to your eyes the whole time. At some point around the end, they didn't have that lightning in them. Guessing that's your 'Zone'. So it ran out before I called for us to come out. What you were relying on afterwards was sheer willpower, emotion, and adrenaline. Which is exactly why you keeled over at the end. Those swings you were doing. They're quick, powerful, but heavy slashes. Just like mine. Of course, because of my training, my body can handle it so it's no problem for me, even if the effects of you stealing my moves was taking affect."
"I also began to understand why you use moves at your own pace. It's not just for disrupting your opponents. But it also ensures that your body has to do the least amount of work possible in adjusting to use an unfamiliar move. If I kept using the stolen moves it would have been a battle of attrition. And because of the strength of my muscles, I was able to handle the effects of fatigue better than you. Even with you doing the moves at your own pace and rhythm, you're trying to copy the power, speed and strength of said moves, which mind you, I've definitely got more muscles than your a[censored] that's for sure. How long did you think that was gonna last, forever? That crap you pulled put your body through absolute hell. And eventually, even with you refusing to quit, your body just shut down on you."
"In other words, I'm gonna put it as nice as I possibly can: You were never going to beat me."
Haizaki's mouth was open a bit, in shock after hearing this.
"I guess... this is how Ryota felt against me huh? Helpless." Haizaki thought, comparing when he fell to the ground against Yami to one of the practice matches that Kise challenged him to that ended with him on knees, exhausted on the ground as Haizaki triumphantly towered over when a grin on his face. And again for most of the Fukuda-Kaijo game until Kise willed his team to a win by not giving up and surpassing his own copying ability's limitations.
"Nah. There's no way."
"I don't believe it. There's no way in hell that I stood no chance against you! It's bulls[censored]!" Haizaki insisted.
Yami sighed. He took out his sword and his Grimoire as it floated in front of him once again. The sword was now covered in Dark Magic. "Let me ask you something: You think you could have handled going against this? Or any of my other powerful attacks? You couldn't!" Yami said before putting away both items.
"But... as a matter of fact, I changed my mind. You're right. I don't have a right to stop you from leaving. So go ahead. Chris! Open the portal!" Yami said.
Chris did just that as the portal opened.
"And open one for me too. I gotta go home and take a crap. It was bound to happen sooner or later with how much I ate." Yami said before walking towards his own portal before going back to take a plate with him.
"Unless we're all going in it, close that damn portal Chris." Haizaki said.
"So. You stayin' or what?" Chris asked.
"So I just asked you to close the portal for nothing. What do you think?" Haizaki said.
After going in his own portal, smile appeared on Yami's face after hearing Haizaki say this.
"This'll be perfect training for them. Strong opponents and teammates like those will definitely get them to surpass their limits. And as a bonus, depending on how well they do, I'll make a killing off the bets I made on them.
"Guess that's a yes. Cool! Alright everyone, let's go!" Chris said, gesturing for them to go in.
"Hey Luz. Good luck. Make it two in a row." Raph said to her.
"I'll try. Not gonna be easy though." Luz said before giving the turtle a high three.
"You too Yang. Hope you got control of that anger. Save the beatin' people to a pulp for the challenges."
"With idiots like Ben, Rex and Aomine here, no promises." Yang said.
"Aw shut up. Like you and your damn puns aren't a hanful to deal with either." Aomine said, passing by her and lightly hitting her on the back of the head.
"Oh would you look at that. Someone else who thinks your puns suck." Ben said jokingly.
"At least they're better than 'Let me tell ya somethin'' before a line." Yang said, trying to imitate Rath.
"You only saw Rath once and you're hating on him. Come on. Rath is awesome!" Ben said.
"And he's doesn't say that every line." Rex said. "That sounds overexaggerated. Same thing with the puns. Weiss does them too but nobody says anything to her."
"That's because I do them sparingly." Weiss said.
"And at the worst times." Yang said.
"Okay you two, get in the portal already." Ruby R. said, pushing both of them in.
"You're just excited because you got that little speed boost." Weiss said as they all went through.
"Am I detecting jealousy?" Ruby R. asked.
"No!" Weiss denied. "But seriously though Akashi. We took notes, and we talked and you never said you could do something like that!"
"I apologize if it felt like I was intentionally keeping the details of the Zone away from you. I just never believed it was possible to be able to utitlize it outside of basketball games." Akashi said.
"You mean you never thought of trying that even once?" Yang asked skeptically.
"No. There was no reason to." Akashi said honestly.
"None of you? Seriously?"
"Why the hell would I just do that for no reason idiot?" Aomine said.
"Wouldn't have been able to trigger it." Kagami said.
"Oh yeah. Everyone's got those triggers. Makes sense." Yang said. "So wait a sec. Mr. Ace of Aces. What's yours?"
"Huh? Oh yeah. Don't really have one." Aomine said.
"What do you mean you don't have one? That literally goes against everything we were just told!"
"I'm serious."
"I bet it's something embarrassing huh?"
"Or maybe it's something cute that you make you look like a big softie." Weiss teased.
"Actually, he's right. Aomine was the first to be able to enter the Zone because of his incredible talent. Unlike the rest of us, when he approached the gates, he never even needed a trigger to open them. He was able to open them at will. Which applies to his activation of the Zone as well. He can activate it whenever he wants." Akashi said.
"I don't really do that unless I have to though. Which is rare." Aomine said.
"A testament to his strength. But also, there's a drawback to entering it as seen with Kagami and Haizaki: Using it uses a large amount of stamina. The longer you use it, the more taxing it'll be on your body. The same applies for when I grant teammates access to a Zone-like state. Which is why I only use it when absolutely necessary." Akashi said.
"Ah. That makes sense. Thank you for the explanation." Weiss said.
"So wait a second. If I just love uh... basketball, can I open the gates too!?" Asta said loudly.
"Where the hell did you come from just butting in!?" Aomine said. "And no you idiot that's not how it works."
"Then how does it work then? Asta is clearly strong. And he'll put passion and hard work behind whatever he does." Noelle said. "Do I really pay attention to his muscles like that? N-no! He's just really strong! Everyone can see that!" Noelle thought.
"You too!? What are you like a pair or something?" Aomine asked.
"Stop it! It's not like that!" Noelle said before blushing and storming off.
"The hell was that about?" Aomine said, a look of confusion on his face.
"No clue." Asta said.
"Why are you still here? Go bother someone on your own team." Aomine said, a deadpan look on his face.
"Oh yeah! I should get to know some of my teammates better, you're right!" Asta said, before running off. He saw Haizaki on his phone sitting by himself.
"Hey! You're Haizaki right?" Asta asked.
"Yeah? What the hell do you want kid?"
"I gotta say, that Zone stuff is pretty awesome! And the fact that you can steal moves! Do you think you can steal my sword moves!? Well, actually, wait..." He then noticed that Haizaki was gone.
"Hey! Where'd he go?"
"Jeez. Annoying a[censored] kid. Can't get some damn time to myself around here." Haizaki said, looking at his phone as he was walking before almost running into Miyuki and Molly.
He sighed. "What now?"
"I just want to say that I always believed in you!" Molly said.
"Not me! But, I'm glad to see you've decided to stay!" Miyuki said.
"Miyuki you were supposed to congratulate him or say something encouraging or nice!" Molly said.
"The second part was nice."
"I got no idea what the hell you're talking about, but I'm going to take a nap. Looks like that'll be the only place I can get some peace around here." Haizaki said as he passed by Kuroko who was reading. He looked up from his book and quickly glanced at him before smiling a little and returning to reading.
Meanwhile, Hiruma was talking with Mamori.
"Did you get those notes?" Hiruma asked Mamori.
Mamori nodded before a grin appeared on his face. "Well, looks like things got a little tougher on us with him using the Zone too. But, that doesn't mean we don't have a chance against him. Because we still do. Focus on getting everyone up to speed on those hand signals when you get the chance. We'll focus more on cornrows later." He said before Mamori nodded.
***Confessional***
Hiruma(Radical Rats):
"There were two ways I expected for cornrows to react after hearing this. One which would get him to act brash and hurt the team which would get him booted. And the other to act motivated and push himself to try the hardest he's had to here. And somehow, he did both. At first, I thought he was going to be like that f[censored]ing Dread Head with how he was with girls and his attitude towards practice. But I suspected he was different after how he acted the last two challenges. And I was right." He said, Dread Head referring to Agon, who was one of his former friends back in middle school.
He then had a devilish grin. "Too bad for him. He'll be gone soon." He said before cackling deviously.

Isagi(Storm Kings):
"Incredible. The Generation of Miracles truly are monsters in their own right. I can see why they claim Haizaki is a strong as them and could have been one of them had he stayed on the Teiko team. But still though, no one is unbeatable no matter how powerful they are. I need to see him maybe a couple more times to confirm this but, I think I understand how Haizaki's pillaging works. And if I'm correct, we might have a chance at shutting him down. I'm not saying he'll be completely finished if this happens, but his chances of staying here lowers if his main ability is useless."
***End Confessional***
Chris was seen as the contestants ate, conversed with each other or were off to themselves.
"And that ends today's episode with Asta and Noelle joining the party with the Wave Breakers! Hope Yami knows what he's doing, because if not, boy, those two are going to have a bad time here." He said before laughing. "Find out what we'll have this cast do next on the next episode of Total... Drama... Across the Multiverse!"
A/N: And with that, Asta and Noelle from Black Clover join in on the fun! I decided to make this addition after realizing I mistakenly had 163 contestants instead of 164.
Only two more late additions not mentioned here will be added in this inter-dimensional segment of the season. Other than those two, no other additions will be made. With how many cameos will be made, eventually, enough is enough lol. Once these late additions are added, a cheat sheet will be made reflecting this.
Also, a double elimination will take place to make up for this non-elimination chapter, that chapter taking place in none other than Blue Lock! Yes, Ego and his obsession for winning will be observed here in Total Drama this time in their place! As much as I liked the Blue Lock segment from last season, I felt like the eliminations were a bit much. But the games used in the facility were too interesting to not give it a shot. Hopefully that chapter will capture the same intensity that Blue Lock has while continuing giving fair eliminations.
