"Stop!" Severus' voice echoed through the small church. Everyone turned and looked at him. Hermione's hand flew to her mouth.

"You're alive!" she exclaimed. Severus nodded, walking down the aisle to her. He could feel Ron Weasley glaring him, his fingers itching to hex the man who had just crashed his wedding. Hermione ignored Ron, pushed his hand off her shoulder as he tried to turn her back to him.

"I am. I spent a year in a coma, spent more time after that trying to remember everything. They said I'd never walk again, that the memories were gone. I do not wish to think what they did to my head, but I escaped."

"How, how did you find me?" Hermione asked, wrapping her arms around Severus. Ron tried to lunge at them, but Hermione stopped him with a slight wave of her hand.

"It was in the paper, your wedding. I had to stop it, I know you'd have never forgiven yourself if you'd known I was alive."

"You're right," Hermione answered. She looked to where her parents were sitting, their mouths hanging open.

"Mum, Dad, this is the man I told you about."

"He's too old!" her mother stated. Hermione fought the urge to hex her.

"Wasn't he your teacher?" her father pointed out. "Hermione, what are you thinking, that man," he pointed at Ron who was trying to escape the body bind Hermione had put him in. "loves you."

"I see they haven't changed?" Severus asked. Hermione shook her head. Of course, her parents loved Ron, everyone loved Ron...except maybe her.

"No, I'd hoped, but it doesn't matter. Come on, let's get out of here," Hermione stated, letting Severus lead her back down the aisle, out of the church and onto the street outside.

"Good luck, Ron," she called over her shoulder just before Severus apparated them both to a location where they would be left alone to talk about him being alive, and start planning their own wedding, something a lot more private that no one would be able to crash.
