Showing Kindness While the Search Continues
Leina and the others are running into a path hoping this will lead them to somewhere could be where the clock piece is or perhaps a clue, then they came across the path split into two.
"Which way do we go now?" Menace asked.
"Both paths could lead to the same thing, but they're different at the same time." Michelle guessed.
"That's one way to put it." Happy commented.
"It's too bad Lucy isn't here with us; we could really use her help to understand this more." Leina looked down at the book given to her by Lucy before she fell with Elina and Coco.
"How about we try splitting up, that way we can see which path is the correct one or it could lead to the same one like Michelle said." Shizuka suggested.
"But is it really a good idea? What if we run into Dan?" Romeo asked worry.
"That shouldn't be a problem since my Dragon King and that Thunder General are keeping him at bay." Menace reminded the young man.
"Yeah, I have no doubt those two will power through and catch up to us." Happy believed strongly.
"Then we'll have to put our fate in them, same with Lucy and Elina getting along with Coco because something tells me they might be able to convince her that we're not the bad guys." Leina nodded.
"Now, I believe we should go with Shizuka's idea of splitting up." Leina decided.
"Shizuka, you will go with Happy and Romeo on the left path, me with Michelle and Menace will go to the right. If either team finds anything, alert the others immediately or regroup if one is a dead end." Leina ordered.
"Wow, you just showed quite the impressive leadership skills. Lady Tomoe would be very proud." Shizuka impressed with how Leina is giving command.
"My older sister was a general, so I might've picked up a few things from her." Leina said.
"And you know, perhaps Tomoe might be in this world too consider that we came here and all." Leina pointed out making Shizuka feel shocked.
"R-Really, I haven't c-considered that." Shizuka said nervously and blushing.
"Anyway, we better get going!" Shizuka ran into the left path.
"Hey, wait for us!" Romeo quickly chased after the ninja woman with Happy next to him.
"Huh, what do you think that reaction was about?" Michelle wondered.
"It's probably because the woman was dead before the final round of the Queen's Blade." Menace guessed.
"(That's right, Shizuka gave up her life for Tomoe to move. Now I suddenly feel bad for bringing Tomoe into this.)" Leina thought sad but shook the sad away for she has to focus on the mission.
"Come on, we have to do our searching too." Leina said and her group runs into the right path.
(With Lucy, Elina, and Coco)
After the three fell into the trap hole and found themselves into another creepy hallway, they decided to walk together to see if they can find their way out, but it looks like Coco is trying to keep her distance from the two sisters.
"Hey Lucy, explain to me again about how this whole Edolas world. Like the people?" Elina asked.
"Huh, well, it's a parallel world that exist next to ours in another universe and the people are exactly like us except with opposite personalities like Cana being a ladylike and me being a punk but in an awesome way." Lucy explained.
"Does that include this one?" Elina pointed at Coco.
"Yeah, the Coco from that world was very kind and caring for others, and she also likes to run fast too." Lucy remembered the Edolas Coco.
"Unlike this one. I wonder if the universe switched them." Elina mocked.
"Hey, I can hear you!" Coco snapped.
"Not like you care!" Elina glared back.
"I don't see why you'd want to help this brat. Seems like a waste of time, if you ask me." Elina said.
"Maybe so, but I would still believe there is a chance we can be friends with her because everyone deserves to have at least one friend no matter who they are." Lucy believed as she walks up to Coco.
"(Lucy, you really have grown so much during our separation. It's amazing, I want to see you grow more.)" Elina thought smiled for her younger sister.
Lucy got closer to Coco deciding to ask her about the Legion Platoon.
"So, what exactly is the Legion Platoon's goal here anyway? Why're you trying to collect all the clock pieces? What's with all this "holy war" and "chaos" stuff?" Lucy asked.
"Well, I got a question for you." Coco talked back to Lucy.
"If you don't know what we're doing then why are you and your friends trying to stop us?" Coco asked.
"Probably because one reason is that you attacked us first and harmed our guild, or did that stupid puppy brain made you forget about all that?" Elina insulted making Coco growl at her.
"Look, I think there has been a misunderstanding on both sides. We're trying to figure everything out, and maybe try to stop this chaos stuff." Lucy said.
"Exactly! What did you expect us to do when Lucy got the clock hand?" Elina asked.
"How about giving it to us and leave us alone." Coco answered harshly.
"You guys are nothing but a bunch of crappy wizards. You might as well give up while you still can." Coco warned before walking away.
"Oh dear, it seems you have forgotten that we "crappy wizards" kicked all three of your butts the first time." Elina smirked.
This causes Coco to growl with clutching her fists and grinding her teeth as she continues walking.
"(Wow, aren't they both rays of sunshine.)" Lucy thought exclaimed.
The three girls continue with their walk as Lucy is being cautious of their surroundings like how they managed to survive through the traps and worries for any more traps ahead in this area too.
"We need to be careful, there's probably more of those booby traps everywhere." Lucy advised.
"I know, genius! The builders put them here to stop grave robbers like you two and your buddies." Coco bragged.
"Funny coming from the girl who is also here to rob this grave sight with his knight friend." Elina said.
"Yeah, you're here for the exact same reason as we are." Lucy agreed.
But their little argument quickly came to an end as Coco accidentally stepped onto a square part of the floor that happens to be a switch, this made the girls gasp thinking that they just sprang a trap.
Then spikes started popping out of the ground to impale the girls except Elina manages to jump away before one spike got to her, but fear for Lucy.
"Lucy!" Elina screamed worry.
Lucy was in a panicking state that she couldn't move around much until she was suddenly tackled by Coco to get her away from the spikes.
"Lucy, are you okay? Talk to me?" Elina asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It was all thanks to Coco here." Lucy answered the dog-face Legion Platoon member with her face between her breasts.
"Thanks." Lucy thanked and Coco quickly got up.
"There's no need to thank me. You tried to save me earlier, I'm returning the favor by actually saving you." Coco explained her reason.
This surprises both Heartfilia sisters, this girl who saw them as her enemies and trying to beat them down for one of the ancient clock pieces is now being a little nicer upon saving Lucy's life showing that she's not really a bad girl as they thought she was.
But that didn't mean Coco wants to be friends with them as she keeps trying to distance herself from them as they are now walking up some stairs.
"Are you seriously this unfriendly all of the time?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, surely you must have at least befriended with your fellow members though I question about the pervert knight." Elina said.
"It's really weird because you're so much like the other Coco I know… Except she's a million times nicer." Lucy mentioned.
"Is that so? I overheard you talking about this girl." Coco said.
"Tell me, how am I like this other girl?" Coco asked.
"Besides your personality, you two are practically identical." Lucy answered shocking Coco.
"Like I was saying earlier, she looks and sounds exactly like you, and we actually started out as enemies too. But by the end, she'd become one of my closest friends." Lucy explained.
"That sounds nothing like me because I would never be friends with a stupid wannabe wizard like you two!" Coco stated.
"How dare you speak such a way! You're lucky she actually wants to be friends with you while I just want to a dead mutt." Elina growled but is stopped by Lucy.
"Easy there, Elina. We can't afford to fight each other right now." Lucy reminded her older sister of the mission.
"And you. You don't need to get so personal; we're just worried putting the clock together is gonna cause some major problems. We're trying to stop a worldwide disaster from happening. You know, the whole "inevitable chaos" thing?" Lucy explained.
"Do you guys honestly think we want to destroy the world?" Coco asked.
"Well, you didn't exactly give us the impression that you were really working for Zentopia when you attacked us." Elina stated.
"That wouldn't have happened if you just cooperate and give us the clock piece." Coco argued.
"Tell that to your creepy friend with a hand for a wand." Elina countered.
"Look, we really don't know what you guys want. Personally, I'm just hoping to try and understand what in the world my dad was trying to tell me." Lucy said.
"Yeah, your dad… You two are the daughters of Jude Heartfilia, right?" Coco asked.
"We are, do you know him?" Elina asked.
"Just from what I heard. He was one of the richest businessmen in the country." Coco recalled hearing those words.
"We maybe his daughters, but I can't say that me and him ever saw eye-to-eye on much." Lucy said feeling a little sad.
"Indeed, Lucy got to grew up with father while me and our other two older sisters were somehow separated into another world and lost all of our memories together until days ago." Elina mentioned with a sad look.
"Wait, hold on? Three of you were forced into another world, how exactly did that happen?" Coco asked shock.
"We don't know, all we know it was some kind of dark magic, but now we are together and don't plan on separating from each other anytime soon." Lucy determined.
"That's right, the Star Sisters will be stronger than ever to make up for the lost times." Elina smiled, also determine.
"So, I guess you guys really are sisters." Coco surprised.
"Anyway, we have yet to understand why our father would be involved with something like hiding some clock pieces in such hard-to-find places like this." Elina said getting back to the subject.
"We can't help thinking there had to be an easier way to go about it." Lucy exclaimed a little.
"That may be the one thing we can agree on." Coco agreed.
This got Lucy and Elina giggle a bit which got Coco's attention.
"You wanna tell me what's so funny?" Coco asked, feeling offended from this.
"Nothing." Elina shrugged.
"Well, I was actually just thinking that you're kind of silly, that's all." Lucy commented.
"Hey, I don't appreciate you saying that about me." Coco said upset.
"Sorry, I didn't mean it as an insult." Lucy apologized.
"Maybe if you stop trying to look like a dog then maybe I'll take you a little more serious." Elina teased.
"You bitch!" Coco snapped.
"Hold on." Lucy said as she and the girls to stop.
They turn to see they have reached a dead end with a single statue standing at the end and in the middle of the wall.
"Great, a dead end. Now what?" Elina complained.
"Do you think we should turn around and go back?" Lucy asked.
"Geez, you don't know anything, do ya?" Coco taunted a little.
"What was that?" Elina glared.
"Just a quick question. Those two who were with you, that girl with revealing desert foreign outfit and the other who is apparently a ninja, did they also come from that same world your older sisters were in?" Coco asked.
"Menace and Shizuka? Yeah, my sisters mentioned they knew those two before being suddenly dragged to this world." Lucy answered.
"Okay, but what about if they were originally from this world instead?" Coco asked a serious question.
"Hold on, just what are you saying? That they were also dragged to this world as well?" Elina demanded to know.
"It's just something that came into my head, that what if some other people from that other world were also forced out from this world too." Coco said.
This got Lucy thinking, she never even considers that possibility of others from being dragged away from Earthland like how her three older sisters were, and if that is true then wouldn't the same be for Menace and Shizuka and Nanael.
"(Whoa, this is something else. I'll need to speak with the others about this later.)" Lucy thought considered.
"Now, I believe I'm about to show you a hidden exit." Coco grinned and walks over to the statue.
"No! Don't touch that!" Lucy panicked.
"You don't know what trap you could trigger!" Elina yelled.
But Coco didn't listen as she touch the chin of the statue, and the ceiling starts to crumble and fall towards the young girl.
"Damn it!" Elina quickly sends her spear rope to catch Coco and pulls her in before the debris could hit her.
"This is why we told you NOT to touch it!" Elina yelled.
"I'm sorry, I thought for sure there was a hidden exit." Coco whimpered.
"Lucy!" Leina called out.
The three look up seeing Leina and the others above them.
"Well, well, it looks like we managed to find something after all." Shizuka smiled.
"Thank goodness you two are okay, I was getting so worried." Michelle said, happy to see Lucy and Elina again.
"Hey look, that Coco girl is with them too." Happy pointed at Coco.
"Do we pull her up too?" Happy asked.
"But she's our enemy, I don't think that's a good idea." Romeo pointed out.
"Just pull of us up." Lucy said.
"Hey, hold on! You want me to come along too?" Coco asked shock.
"I think it's better to have you around so we can keep a closer eye on you. That way, you won't go off on your own to search for the clock piece and try to get the jump on us, I believe that's the to be fair." Lucy explained.
"Hmm, she does make a good point. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." Shizuka nodded.
"I'm good with that." Leina agreed.
"(Oh great, now I'm stuck with these wizards again.)" Coco thought exclaimed, but her heart seems to feel calm for some reason.
(Gajeel's Team)
"Wow, we're really high up." Rana amazed.
"So, have we arrived at the right spot?" Cattleya asked as she set team Shadow Gear down.
"According to the information Lucy gave us, we should be sitting on top of one of the clock pieces right about now." Gajeel looked over the info.
"Hmm, if that's the case, how come nobody's seen it yet?" Panther Lily puzzled.
"We sure didn't see anything during the climbing." Levi mentioned.
"Hmm." Cattleya looked down at the mountain floor getting a feeling about something.
"Cattleya, is something on your mind?" Panther Lily asked.
"It just got me thinking, the clock piece you are looking for is here at this mountain yet there is nothing up there. But what if the piece is not on top of the mountain, but inside." Cattleya shared her thoughts.
"You really think so?" Droy asked.
"I think it'd make sense when you think about it." Jet pointed out.
"Nice, I was about to think the same thing. Now let's get digging!" Gajeel smirked and starts punching the ground.
"I better help out too." Cattleya brought out her sword and strikes the ground.
(With Erza's Group)
"No way! This place is huge!" Nowa screamed shock of seeing the very, very tall tower the group arrived in.
"We finally arrived." Erza said.
"The Library of Sorcery holds countless texts on almost every type of magic that's ever been practiced. It's quite impressive." Carla complimented the library.
"We have such a thing like this back in our world, truly a wonder to behold." Alleyne commented.
"Yeah, no joke. This place is freakin' humongous." Cana surprised.
"But it doesn't look like anybody has been here in a long time." Wendy pointed out.
"That's a real tragedy. All that knowledge just waiting to be learned." Carla said feeling sad.
They enter the library to see thousands and millions of books inside the library as Wendy and Carla thought about bringing Levi here next time.
"Do you think they have magic about elves too?" Nowa asked as Lou tilts her head.
"I wouldn't be surprised if there are." Alleyne said as she took one book out, but few more drop out and she's gone pale upon seeing something… round and bouncy behind the bookshelf.
