"Why don't you ever tell the rest of us about these invitations to host things?" Clint asked.

"I just do what the invitation says." Tony answered. "Some things are easier to do when already written. Unlike that time we had to figure out how to help our resident super soldier and thunder god when they were made normal like some of us."

Steve kept the oxygen mask in place while it provided him with a vaporized medicine to help with his asthma. Even after having asthma for twenty three years, after being Captain America for a few years he nearly forgot how it felt.

Looking over to the side, the blond man spotted Tony and Clint standing a few feet away. Clint looked like he couldn't believe what he was seeing and Tony looked like he was trying not to laugh his head off.

"You're not helping." Steve declared.

"Sorry, Cap." Clint apologized. "I just...I've only seen you like this in a few pictures. Kinda hard to take in this is what you looked like before getting the serum."

Steve nodded and looked forward where he was met with his reflection from a large mirror opposite of where he sat. Instead of seeing the healthy and muscular super soldier, he now saw his true appearance.

The skinny and unhealthy Steve Rogers the world knew before he'd been offered the chance to be a war hero.

A battle against a woman named Amora had transformed Steve and Thor into forms without their great abilities. Steve was turned back into what he had been before the serum and Thor was turned into a normal person like when he had first come to Earth. He didn't even have his great strength.

Needless to say, it was pretty tough for everyone to accept that Captain America and Thor were now as powerless as other regular people and would have to be kept out of sight and battle until things could be figured out.

Steve especially since his poor health was a problem for him again. But lucky for him, medicine was more advanced then when it had been in his time. The medicine he was currently breathing in was doing much better than what he used to use.

"Seriously, this is weird." Clint said.

"Agent Barton. Mister Stark. I'm sure Captain Rogers would like some privacty." a nurse insisted.

"Alright, alright. Come on, feathers. Get better, Capsicle." Tony said as he led Clint out of the room.

"How long do you think he'll be like that?" Clint asked as they walked down the hall.

"Don't know. Hope it's not too long." Tony answered. "I don't think I would be able to get use to seeing him like that."

"Me either."

"At least Point Break still looks the same." Tony said as they entered the bridge where they spotted the other member of their team who had been affected by the magical spell.

"How is the captain?" Thor asked in a normal voice that they all rarely heard from him.

"He's doing alright. Doc's are keeping his airway clear. He should be here in a few minutes." Clint answered.

"We should gather somewhere else." Fury said. "We can't let many people see Rogers the way he was before becoming a national icon. If word gets out about this, we could have some serious problems on our hands."

"And it's kinda weird seeing the super soldier as a tiny, little thing." Tony added. "I saw a picture of him when he'd been accepted into the army but...To see it with my own eyes...It's one of those once in a life time deals."

"No kidding." Clint agreed. "I'll go get a private confrence room set up, sir."

"Good. We should go ahead and get there." Fury said. "Thor, we'll need you to tell us about this Amora character."

Thor nodded and followed the rest of his team to a private room where they spotted a shorter and much thinner Steve Rogers.

"How you doing, Rogers?" Fury asked once the door was closed and locked.

"Fine, sir." Steve answered.

"Captain, this was your form before becoming a soldier?" Thor asked, not wanting to believe that this was really how Steve was before he met him.

"It is." Steve answered with a nod. "This and my health were the reasons I didn't get into the army until Erskine found me and turned me into Captain America."

"You're still adorable." Natasha said.

"Am I?" Tony asked with a teasing smile.

"You're more adorable in the armor with the faceplate down." Natasha replied.

"Topic change. How are we going to reverse this?" Clint asked. "Is it temporary?"

"No, it is not." Thor answered. "The only way for the captain and I to be released from this spell is to find Amora."

"Why did she do this anyway?" Bruce asked.

"She wishes for me to ask for her hand." Thor answered. "She dreams of one day being queen of Asgard."

"So...she has a crush on you and turned you this way to get you to pop the question?" Tony asked with a voice of disbelief.

"That's correct." Thor answered.

"So why did she hit Steve with it?" Natasha asked.

"Poor timing." Thor answered sheepishly. "Amora tends not to pay attention to how big she makes her attacks when she is angry. The captain was caught in the crossfire."

"Great timing, Capsicle." Tony lightly teased.

"How long do you think it'll be before we can get ahold of this enchantress and get her to turn you and Rogers back to normal?" Fury asked.

"I am unsure. She will make her appearance when she wishes."

"Alright then. Until we can figure this out, all of you are going into seclusion. Hide out in the tower until things are back to normal." Fury ordered. "And not a word of what's happened to anyone. The press and public cannot know what's happened to two of the Avengers."

"By chance, someone does see Steve, what should we do?" Bruce asked.

"Well, Storm already looks like Rogers. Say that Rogers went to help the Fantastic Four or something. Unless you want to get Storm here and deal with him until this is all over." Fury answered before leaving.

An hour later, Tony was finishing a lockdown on the top twelve floors of the tower where the Avengers resided. Only Pepper would be allowed to those floors but the Avengers had to get a heads up from Jarvis.

"Guess we need to get you some new clothes." Natasha said as she looked at Steve's closet.

"Do people make clothes for skinny people like me?" Steve asked.

Clint let out a laugh.

"Cap, the people of today would kill to be skinny like you. Scrawny thin is the appearance trend."

"Why?" Steve asked confused.

"For some reason, people like to show others their skeletal system. Even baby fat is frowned upon now by most." Natasha answered.

"Do you even have baby fat?" Clint asked as he knelt next to Steve and tried to pinch his cheek only to get his hand slapped by the spy.

"Leave him alone." she scolded.

Clint apologized to Steve and then left muttering things under his voice.

"Steve, are you really alright?" Natasha asked. "I can't think this is easy for you."

"I lived like this before. I'll be able to get through it again. At least this way, everyone can see where I came from and that I really was a ninety pound asthmatic." he answered.

Not too long later, the team was gathered together for lunch and they right away noticed the different appetites from Steve and Thor.

While Thor managed to eat two plates, Steve barely finished his first.

"No offence Cap but I can see why you were thin." Clint said.

"None taken."

For nearly a week, the Avengers got to witness how normal and human Steve and Thor could be. They saw how easily Steve got worn out from simple activities, how Thor couldn't handle not having his powers.

It was finally eight days after the whole situation started that they finally got a hold of Amora and forced her to undo her spell.

Naturally, she was hesitant and resisting at first. Thor eventually promised that he would take her out on a single date if she agreed to lift her magic. She agreed and Steve and Thor were instantly transformed back into the two strong Avengers everyone had come to know.

To Steve and Thor, they were both glad to have their abilities back with more appreciation of their gifts.

"Do us all a favor Thor, keep that crazy magic woman away from here as much as possible!" Tony declared.

"Believe me, my friend, I will easily agree to your request." Thor stated.
