It took months to get Hogwarts up and running again, but Hunn used the Elder wand she had acquired from Harry to make repairs.
McGonagall took over as Headmistress the following year and worked closely with the Ministry to ensure nothing and no one would interfere at Hogwarts again. It took a lot of arguing, but they eventually saw it her way.
Reluctantly, Slughorn stayed on staff as the potions master and Head of Slytherin house. His Slug club was banned quickly at the start of the new school year for promoting intolerance and unique behavior.
Adjusting was hard for Remus. It took months for him to pick himself up and live again. When he did, he lived for Teddy—caring for him in every way possible so he would always know love. While Remus was working, Teddy stayed with Hunn and her babies, and they all had a blast.
Lupin took back his Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor position, making his affliction known to all. Some were upset, but many looked past his condition and saw him as a war hero and father rather than a threat. Along with being the Defence professor, he took over a new class with the Heads of Houses and the new Muggles Studies professor, Aggie Woodworm, a muggle-born, to teach tolerance and acceptance. This class was mandatory once a week, every Saturday for an hour.
The houses worked with Lupin and Aggie to expose the young students to the muggle world and how their magic is acquired and not stolen. Students quickly pick up new facts and open their minds to new possibilities. They even started inviting parents to these classes so they could learn with their children.
Molly volunteered a lot but enjoyed being with her grandchildren and Teddy the most. The children were good for Molly. They kept her distracted and busy throughout the day because the loss of Arthur left a hole in everyone's heart. The Burrow felt slightly colder and always empty, but Molly was strong and held her own for her family.
Fred and George opened the shop a few weeks after the start of term to ensure every student had enough humor to keep them going. They worked hard and bought out Zonko's shortly after with all the money they earned.
Hunn continued doing medical witch work but found she missed her babies too much to be apart from them for a long time.
...
The wind was rustling the trees when a knock sounded at the door. She left Hayate and Issac sleeping on a blanket and answered the door. A tall man stood dressed in shades of dull brown and black, holding two small wriggling children no older than her babies.
"Hello?" she asked, confused, not taking her eyes off the babies.
"Hello, ma'am. I am Mr. Goldrims. Can I please come in?"
Hunn moved for the man to enter and led him to the sitting room, "Please have a seat. Can I get you anything?"
He looked uncomfortable, "No, thank you. I only came here to speak to you about an opportunity."
"I'm assuming it has to do with these beautiful babies."
He nodded grimly, "Yes, their parents died during the battle at Hogwarts."
Hunn lost her composure, "What?"
"Their parents were Death Eaters that fought against Harry Potter."
"Alright. Why are you here?"
"No one will take them. Not a single orphanage will even consider them."
Her heart broke in her chest, "Why?"
Mr. Goldrims looked at her confused, "They're children of Death Eaters."
"But they haven't done a thing."
"I understand that, ma'am, but no one will take them," he clears his throat and pulls out a pack of papers, "That brings me to the reason for my visit. We have spoken with every member of the existing family, and none can take the children.
"As I mentioned, no orphanage will either. As my coworkers and I talked with the Headmistress, your name and a few others came up."
"And?"
"We have spoken to all the others. They declined to care for the children."
"I'll do it."
Shocked, he said, "Wouldn't you like to speak with your husband..."
"Husbands, and they'll be fine with it. I can't let these babies go. They deserve a chance."
Feeling flustered, he nodded, handed her the paperwork, and directed her where to sign, "Your husbands will need to sign as well..."
"Alright, let's go," Hunn stood and gathered her children as he gathered her newest children. They took the floo and appeared moments later in the busy joke shop.
Fred and George found her within moments. "What's wrong, rabbit?" they spoke together, taking Hayate and Issac from her and eyeing the man behind her.
She explained while standing silently, taking the fussy babies she grabbed from the man.
Her men pondered for a moment and shared a look.
"Are you sure?" George asked softly, peering down at the little ones she held.
She nodded, not looking up at him. She couldn't take her eyes off the babies she held.
"Alright, give us a quill," Fred told Mr. Goldrims.
They signed.
"I'll have their paperwork sent over tomorrow."
Just as he turned to leave, a light went off, "Wait!" Hunn shouted softly, "What are their names?"
"Rose and Lilac."
He left then without another word.
George closed the shop early, and they took their children home.
Rose and Lilac were a blessing. The little girls were only months younger than Hayate and Issac, and they were well-behaved babies.
Molly helped her and even babysat when they needed a night off.
Their little family was perfect.
...
Things seemed like they'd be alright between Ron and Hermione for a while, but they grew apart. Hermione was focused on becoming the best witch she could be, and Ron was, well, Ron.
As much as they tried to work things out with counseling, they just weren't happy together. Hermione felt held back without others around to add to their conversations, and without more mental stimulation, things felt hard for her.
Full of his own issues and anxieties, Ron did his best to work through them, but there was only so much that Hermione could help him with. He sought professional help to work through it, and still not feeling like enough for her, they decided to go their separate ways.
Ron went to the Ministry and worked with Harry as an Auror in the magical law enforcement department. He earned many awards and worked hard to become second best only to Harry, who took over the entire department.
Ron didn't mind much because he knew Harry had earned his title, and Ron, having made his achievements, knew that he was just as good as his best friend.
After a long day in the magical law enforcement office, Ron met a quiet little witch named Grace, with whom he connected deeply.
A spark ignited their flame, and together, they grew close and fell in love slowly over the years until Ron gathered his nerves to ask her to marry him. Being a timid woman, it took my proposal before she finally said yes. They moved into a small cottage and went through many struggles trying to conceive a baby.
They would fight and cry many nights, nearly falling apart at the seams and losing each other. They did get married the winter before their magical daughter Leah was born.
Hermione also took a position in the Ministry. She worked in the Department of Magical Education. She helped start many schools for children in magical families for their younger years, from six until they were eleven and accepted to Hogwarts.
She loves living a life of being strong and independent. Still, three years after the battle, she reconnected with Oliver Wood. She fell head over heels in love with the quirky athlete who decided not only to continue playing but also to continue his education. He remembered her from school and took her on many dates, seeking to understand her passions and love for knowledge before asking her to marry him. Hermione made sure to scream yes into his ear thoroughly before crying.
Oliver challenged her, made her feel strong and dainty, and made sure to always listen to her and make her feel loved and adored.
They traveled to each of his matches and eventually settled down a few miles from Hunn and her growing family.
...
Harry and Ginny fought a lot. They cried, too, and never appropriately connected after the war.
Ginny had been through too much to continue as usual because she had been left behind while Harry was off fighting with Hermione and Ron.
While holding her own at Hogwarts, protecting those who needed it, she had been hurt in a way no one could see. During the night, on her trip to the kitchen for food, she was caught by the brother Carrow and cornered. He used those she was trying to protect against her and forced her to do unspeakable things.
That night was the first of many, and it took its toll on her.
The guilt ate Harry alive when she finally told him, and consumed by guilt, he couldn't bear to look at her. He worked overtime and only came home while she was sleeping. He left each morning before she would wake and drank more firewhiskey than anyone should.
They fell apart and hurt each other worse than any spell.
It took them nearly a year before calling it quits.
Ginny stayed with her mom, and Harry drank himself stupid.
They were miserable together and apart.
Ron stepped up for Henry and forced him to go to his first AA meeting and then to counseling for his PTSD and guilt.
Ginny was forced by her mother to see a counselor, too, putting her career on hold to work on herself.
Two years passed before either one was even remotely healthy, but they got there eventually.
They met again months after their last sessions and reunited in passion and tears. They made love in an empty field near Harry's home and rocked each other to the core. Ginny talked about her counseling, and Harry spoke about his AA the following day. After a week of endless sex, they decided to give it a go again, with help this time.
They saw a counselor once weekly until they could pull it off. Just a week shy of the anniversary of their first meeting, Harry dropped down on one knee just as Ginny announced she was pregnant.
They laughed the night away and eloped the following day, happy as an eating Hippogriff.
...
Hayate, Issac, Rose, and Lilac started at Hogwarts in 2008.
Hayate and Issac were sorted into Ravenclaw, the first Weasleys ever.
Rose and Lilac sorted into Gryffindor, making their dads incredibly proud.
Remus' son Teddy also sorted into Gryffindor, keeping the girls safe.
They were all excellent students. They got good grades and hardly ever got into trouble, but when they did, it rivaled their father's hijinks like no one had before.
Their family was content and full of love.
So much love that when Hunn found out she was pregnant again in 2003, they were all excited.
Things went swimmingly until she gave birth to not one.
Not two.
But three babies.
They were astounded.
They had three boys, Ruben, Arthur, and Myles.
Everyone lent a helping hand, even Ginny, who had just given birth to Harry and her first child, James.
They worked together as a family.
Ron and his pregnant wife Grace helped, as did Hermione, who was still waiting to have her children.
Houses were full of life and love.
The grandchildren didn't stop there. In 2004, Grace gave birth to Hugo, a strong and healthy little boy.
Molly was thrilled. She never thought that their family would grow so much.
She told Arthur every time there was a new addition, but one night in the summer of 2005, Molly never woke again.
Fred and George had gone over to tell her Hunn was pregnant again with twins, but they found her still in bed.
She had a smile on her aged face.
She had passed during her sleep and had left them to join her husband.
They were all devastated to lose Molly. She had raised each of them in some way, but knowing she was with Arthur again made it feel a smidge better.
She missed the births of Harry's son, Albus Severus, and two beautiful twins, Garrett and Lillian.
The family kept growing still.
Ron and Grace had a daughter the following year named Emma Molls, bringing their total to two.
In 2017, nineteen years after the battle of Hogwarts, Hayate, Issac, Rose, and Lilac were beginning their own lives and finding love, heartbreak, and friends.
This was the triplet's third year. Having done this before, they rushed off with James Sirius to meet with their Gryffindor friends.
Garrett and Lillian stood with Hugo and Albus and waited for their parent's goodbyes.
"I Love you so much," Fred told his daughters, hugging them close.
George kissed them each and slipped a few coins into their pockets, "For the trolly," he winked.
Grace and Ron kissed Hugo's cheek before he sprinted away.
Hermione stood with her two children, Georgia and Clark, both too young to go to Hogwarts but there for support.
Harry pulled his son aside, and Hunn leaned down as best she could with her newest son, Bryant, on her hip and her sizeable round belly sticking out.
She kissed her daughters goodbye and walked them to the train.
"Promise you'll write mum," Lillian begged.
"Of course I will. You two won't write when you make new friends."
They rolled their eyes, " And you'll send dad up when the babies come?"
Hunn rubbed her belly lightly. She was due any day now with her last babies ever, "I will."
The train whistled, and Albus joined them in their compartment, "We love you," they said together nervously.
"And I love you."
The train rolled away, leaving a pregnant Hunn with her two adoring husbands and son.
Life was good.
