Saturday, 2 weeks before Rainbow Dash's birthday...
Adorabella had just finished meeting up with Ralph. Adorabella is now at Fluttershy's cottage. She knocks on the door, and the door opens, answered by Fluttershy.
"Oh, hello Adorabella, it is nice to see you," Fluttershy politely greeted with her warm smile. Adorabella nods and feebly smiles back.
"I- I wanted t- to ask... what does Rainbow like most?" Adorabella asked.
"Oh um..." Fluttershy briefly paused.
"She loves the Daring Do series. I think she would really like Daring Do merchandise," Fluttershy answered. Adorabella nods.
"I knew that... but I w- wondered if there was s- something... something she really liked that sh- she hasn't told me about. Sh- she has done so much for me... I want to go all out for her birthday," Adorabella explained while lightly smiling. Adorabella has an idea of what to go for.
"Oh okay... I am here if you want to um, share ideas for what you want to do for her. You can come in if you like," Fluttershy offered, also lightly smiling. Adorabella nods, which Fluttershy understood that by the nod, Adorabella likes a bit of help. Fluttershy lets Adorabella inside and closes the front door. She takes her to the opposite end of the cottage away from the front door. small seat that is to the left of the long sofa and window.
"Could I uh, get you anything to eat or drink?" Fluttershy politely asked.
"No- it's okay," Adorabella politely declined. She still feels a bit iffy about accepting an offer for food or a drink... unless it's Ralph that offers something.
"Are you sure you don't want something? I don't want you to go hungry if you haven't eaten already," Fluttershy politely insisted. Adorabella again politely declines, by shaking her head.
"Um, okay," Fluttershy nodded as she sits on the large sofa. Fluttershy doesn't insist further, as Adorabella said no.
"I don't know... I don't know what to do... my birthday was made so special- I want to go even bigger than that for Rainbow! But... I don't know how I'd be able to pull it off..." Adorabella mumbled, resting her jaw on her forehooves on the round table. Fluttershy listens.
"What do I do Fluttershy? I feel like a terrible friend if I can't pull this off..." Adorabella deflatedly sighed.
"That isn't true, I think you're an amazing friend. It's okay to not know what to do. I'm sure whatever you do for Rainbow, she will appreciate it," Fluttershy softly reassured.
"I don't want to just buy something... I want to make something- I want my present for her to be made by me- to come from me, b- but I don't know wh- who to ask," Adorabella mumbled.
"But I can't go to a shop- I've never been in a shop and- and when I was forced to go shopping with my parents I- I couldn't even look at the cashier- ah- ahhhhh-" Adorabella starts to panic.
"Are you okay!?" Fluttershy immediately worries, then gently and briefly touches Adorabella's forehooves, which that calms her down.
"I'm not sure how I'll execute all my ideas for Rainbow's birthday..." Adorabella stressfully mumbled.
"Hmm..." Fluttershy thought for suggestions.
"I'm... not the best pony at helping in that regard..." Fluttershy feebly apologized.
"But... I'm sure Pinkie could help- she is really amazing at party planning," Fluttershy sodtly added with a smile. Adorabella lifts her head up off her forehooves and smiles back.
"I'll uh... I'll g- go and see her," Adorabella nodded.
"Are you sure you don't want anything to eat before you go? I would feel a bit guilty if you're hungry and I didn't give you something to eat," Fluttershy softly double checked.
"I- I'm okay," Adorabella nodded.
"I've got salted cashe-"
"Okay you win," Adorabella interrupted with a grin. Almost nothing will stop her accepting salted cashews as a snack.
"Okay I'll go and get some," Fluttershy softly giggled as she gets of the sofa and walks to the kitchen. A minute later, Fluttershy comes back with a small glass bowl with cashews in it. She places the bowl on the round table.
"Th- thanks," Adorabella smiled as she delves her whole muzzle into the small bowl and sucks the cashews into her moith like a vacuum cleaner.
"Uh..." Adorabella shakes her head, but the bowl is stuck to her muzzle, because of the bowl's small size.
"Helpppp!" Adorabella's voice is muffled as the bowl is stuck to her muzzle.
"Oh Adorabella..." Fluttershy face-hoofs while shaking her head... while also trying to not laugh. She was about to help get the bowl off, but the bowl magically turns into water, which gets on the rug and dampens it, miraculously without getting Adorabella wet. Then climbing out of the damped patch is Discord, who made Adorabella jump a little.
"Oh ho ho ho, silly Bella- Billy- oh... which one makes less sense?" Discord thought while rubbing his beard and chin with his eagle claws.
"Th- th- thanks," Adorabella stuttered while looking away slightly. She flinches as Discord reaches for her mane.
"Oh don't be so shy now- I've been watching how well..." Discord pulls a black TV out of Adorabella's mane with his eagle hand, a TV that is replaying all of Adorabella's moments in life, from her birth to now in under just 5 seconds.
"... you've been doing," Discord finished stated as he tosses the TV into Fluttershy's mane, and the TV disappears.
"Y- you've been st- stalking?" Adorabella shook as she crawls out of her chair and stands on the hoof rest, her wings also twitching. Discord grits his teeth, he didn't phrase his compliment too well.
"He didn't mean it like that!" Fluttershy exclaimed while trying to reassure Adorabella. But it is too late. Discord has made Adorabella feel on edge.
"I was just saying... that you've been doing so well," Discord spoke with some sorrow, feeling a bit hurt. But he also understands why Adorabella is so skeptical around him.
"I've got to go and see Pinkie now," Said Adorabella as she flaps her wings and hovers over to the door. She opens it and quickly waves to say bye before flying out and closing the door behind her.
"I've scared her off didn't I?" Discord face-palmed on his lion paw.
"I'm sure she is okay, she just needs more time to know you better," Fluttershy softly reassured. Discord nods. He understood that Adorabella had forgiven him, but it didn't mean she didn't trust him.
(Sugarcube Corner)
Pinkie Pie had finished her lunch break. She opens the door and is about to go back inside, but she feels a soft tap on the back of her head. She turns around and sees Adorabella.
"Hello Adorabella- what brings you back so soon?" Pinkie Pie joyfully spoke aloud as she powerfully hugs Adorabella.
"Y- strang- me-" Adorabella gagged. Pinkie Pie lets go.
"Oops, sorry," Pinkie Pie quickly apologized.
"I'm a fragile mare remember?" Adorabella nervously giggled.
"You're not fragile, you have the resilience of steel!" Pinkie Pie upliftingly spoke as she uses both forehooves and makes Adorabella's face smile wide. Adorabella steps back, and Pinkie Pie stops. Both of them are smiling though.
"I've... I- I've got... some ideas, for what I wanna do for Rainbow's birthday... and I- I want to sh- share them w- with you," Said Adorabella.
"Come inside- share with me your ideas! I'd love to hear them!" Pinkie Pie spoke enthusiastically as she pulls Adorabella into Sugarcube Corner with her. Adorabella briefly extends her wings in surprise from being dragged inside.
Once inside, Pinkie Pie closes the doors.
"So... what do you have in mind that you want to do for Rainbow?" Pinkie Pie asked while smiling.
"Well- it'd be e- easier if I could write my th- thoughts down," Adorabella responded. Pinkie Pie nods, and out of nowhere, gives Adorabella a pen and sheet of paper.
"Here you go," Said Pinkie Pie, who watches Adorabella immediately starts writing down ideas she has for Rainbow Dash's birthday with the pen in her left forehoof. A minute goes by, and Adorabella is still writing.
Pinkie Pie's face right now at seeing the big list: O.O
Adorabella then finally finishes writing. Adorabella drops the pen as she shakes her left forehoof. It always hurts to write for a constant period of time.
"Oh..." Pinkie Pie slowly spoke. Adorabella has big ideas. Pinkie Pie can see Adorabella has a few ideas, but she has laid the ideas out in great detail.
"You want the Wonderbolts to perform stunts outside when Rainbow wakes up... you want to buy all of us tickets to see the Daring Do movie being released in cinemas in Manehatten- fireworks displaying her name- lots of presents... you're thinking BIG! I LOVE IT!" Pinkie Pie squealed, hugging Adorabella.
"I... she... you... I want to make her b- b- birthday feel amazing... after my birthday felt it had meaning," Adorabella softly smiled.
"You're so wholesome Adorabella, you're such an amazing friend!" Pinkie Pie ecstatically declared. Adorabella's softly smiles while she lets go of her.
"But... I n- need help... I don't kn- know how to pull it off... I have to g- go to M- M- Manehattan to g- get the t- tickets... I have to go to C- Cloudsdale to sp- sp- speak to Spitfire... " Adorabella sighed. Pinkie Pie pats her on the back.
"I'd love to help you, but I am busy making Rainbow's birthday cake- maybe ask Twilight for a bit of help. She should be at her castle in Ponyville- you'll see the castle when you see it," Pinkie Pie suggested. She does have her hooves full. She has to make Rainbow Dash's birthday cake.
"It's o- okay," Adorabella nodded as she walks to the door and opens it.
"One last thing- can I h- help y- you, with g- getting things ready for Rainbow's b- birthday?" Adorabella asked.
"Of course! Not right now, but on Monday you can, where I'll have more things sorted for me to exolain to you what's going on," Pinkie Pie nodded.
Adorabella nods as she waves bye to Pinkie Pie, and flies off. Pinkie Pie waves back as Adorabella very quickly becomes a small white speck in the sky.
(Twilight's castle)
Adorabella did know that is the castle when she saw the purple crystal castle sitting on top of a crytal-based tree, and a crystal star on top. The sunlight reflects off of the glittering crystal-made structure, giving off a shiny exterior. On both sides of the doors are tall slim violet-stained glass windows, which are pointy at the top.
Adorabella lands in front of a short flight of gold stairs with hoofrails on both sides. At the top are 2 tall gold doors with a pink heart at the top and another at the bottom. Adorabella squints her eyes slightly, because the sunlight's reflection on the structure is so bright. But the castle did look beautiful.
"Hey," A voice spoke, which spook Adorabella. She extends her wings while turning around. She refolds her wings slightly, seeing it is Starlight.
"I- I didn't mean to scare you- my bad," Starlight sincerely apologized, having an innocent smile. Adorabella nods.
"Is uh- is T- Twilight in there?" Adorabella double checked. She knew Pinkie Pie said Twilight would be in there, but she could be wrong.
"Yes she is- I'll go and get her- I needed to go in and sort something with Spike anyways," Starlight nodded. She walks up the small flight of stairs and opens the right-side door, then walks inside, and closes the door back up. A few minutes later, the doors reopen, and Twilight walks out.
"It's really nice to see you again Adorabella," Twilight warmly spoke with a nice smile.
"H- hey... y- y'know Rainbow's up- upcoming b- birthday?" Adorabella started explaining.
"Yeah, I do," Twilight nodded.
"I have a l- lot in m- my head that I w- w- wanna do for her... b- but I need y- your help... if that's o- okay with you," Adorabella requested as she finished explaining.
"Uh... yeah, sure. Spike and Starlight are busy together making her card... so I've got a lot of time to help you- well, what do you need?" Twilight asked.
"Ah ha ha... ummmm..." Adorabella nervously laughed.
"A lot of help..." Adorabella sheepishly added while briefly scratching her head with her left forehoof.
"I need t- tickets for the n- new D- Daring Do movie b- being r- r- released... and I want th- the W- W- Wonderbolts perform stunts for when Rainbow wakes up. But I'm scared to go to Manehattan and- yeah I've spoke to Spitfire a few times but that's because I happened to be where she was but I don't really know her- I- I- I..." Adorabella hyperventilates, but she does manage to calm herself down. Adorabella only justs notices Twilight's left forehoof is on her right shoulder. Twilight was that gentle. It was actually Twilight's gentle hoof that calmed Adorabella down.
"You don't have to go to Manehattan... I will. Manehattan can get very busy- which you probably won't like all the noise," Twilight softly spoke. Adorabella nods and has a weak smile across her face.
"I have to go... Rainbow has helped me so much... I have to show so much in return..." Adorabella mumbled.
"Awww, that's so sweet of you- but don't push yourself too hard-"
"I have to push myself- she's pushed herself for me, I have to push myself for her," Adorabella interrupted, also sounding more firm. Adorabella's voice sounding firm caught Twilight a bit off guard and makes her take a step back. She then nods, and smiles.
"You're a very sweet-hearted pony Adorabella. I'm more than happy to help you get things in place," Twilight reassured.
"I left my bits at Rainbow's today- so um... can we g- go to Manehattan tomorrow?" Adorabella requested.
"Yeah of course- what time and where do you want to meet me tomorrow?" Twilight asked.
"A- around lunch time, a- and I'd l- like to m- meet h- here," Adorabella requested.
"Sounds good to me. And about the Wonderbolt's part... do you want to speak to Spitfire now? I do have time to take you there if you're uncomfortable to go alone," Twilight kindly offered. Adorabella nods.
"Y- yeah... b- but can I write it d- down wh- what I w- want them to do b- before we go?" Adorabella requested.
"Yeah of course, come inside- it's only me, Starlight and Spike inside. Nopony you haven't met before are inside," Twilight reassured. Adorabella nods, but she is hesitant to step inside, which Twilight understood that by reading Adorabella's body language.
"Or... I could bring out paper and a pen and I'll write what you tell me on the way to the Wonderbolt's HQ," Twilight offered. Adorabella nods. Twilight can see Adorabella looks a lot more comfortable with that option.
"Wait here- I'll get a pen and piece of paper and we can start heading there," Said Twilight as she walks back inside and closes the doors, while Adorabella waits outside. Adorabella looks around anxiously, looking out for potential bad ponies lurking about. She flinches at sounds that don't occur. Her memory is too good, that she can remember sounds so well that even just thinking about the sound, replaying it in her head makes it sound so real.
As Adorabella's mind was about to descend into a panic, she hears one of the castle's doors open, the right-sided one. Adorabella quickly relaxes and stops internally hyperventilating as Twilight walks out qnd closes the open door. Adorabella does take a few steps back, seeing that Twilight is holding a pen and paper... with magic. The pen and paper is held with a magical purple aura. Adorabella tries to put a brave face on it though.
"Are you alright with me using magic to hold this?" Twilight checked. Adorabella's brave composure breaks, and her uncomfortableness becomes very visible in her eyes.
"I w- wish I c- could be m- more c- comfortable around m- magic u- u- users..." Adorabella stuttered while shaking. Twilight grabs the 2 items with her left forehoof, and stops using magic for a minute.
"I can uh, hmm, we can jot down your ideas here," Twilight offered, only now remembering Adorabella's trauma-based fear of magic. If Twilight could sit down here outside, she could use the pen with her hoof instead of magic.
"N- no... it's o- okay- y- you can u- use m- m- m- magic... b- but... c- can y- you k- keep y- y- your d- distance w- while y- you write?" Adorabella requested as her stuttering gets worse. Twilight nods, trying to speak 'Adorabella's language', gentle slow body movements.
Adorabella slowly flaps her wings, and Twilight does the same. Twilight hovers away from Adorabella, to give her space. Twilight uses her magic and grabs hold of the paper and pen with a magical aura off of her left forehoof. Adorabella nods, signalling that Twilight is an okay distance from Adorabella to use magic. Adorabella stays about 30 feet behind Twilight as both of them fly to the Wonderbolts Academy. Adorabella shares what she wants the Wonderbolts do for Rainbow Dash with Twilight.
Spitfire's office...
At her desk in her office of the academy, Spitfire is reading a list of names on a sheet of paper. They are the names of ponies, ponies that have recently applied to join the academy. She pauses for a moment and takes off her glasses, and grabs a cloth to wipe them.
"Ugh, bucking dust..." Spitfire muttered as she starts wiping her glasses.
Knock knock knock...
"Come in," Spitfire spoke aloud as she puts down her glasses and cloth, then looks at the door on the opposite her. It opens, and 2 ponies walk in.
"Yes Twilight and- ah, Adorabella. Long time no see," Said Spitfire.
"Hey Spitfire... Adorabella is a bit... exhausted," Twilight tried wording it.
"Um, okay? And really? From what Rainbow tells me, Adorabella performs an Adoraboom at least ten times a week," Spitfire shrugged at the random opening to the conversation, while retorting at the statement that Adorabella is 'exhausted'.
"Not exactly exhausted... but uh..." Twilight mumbled as she moves her head forward, so her mouth is next to Spitfire's right ear.
"... socially exhausted..." Twilight whisprred as she moves her head back.
"Right, gotcha," Spitfire nodded. That made more sense to her. She does notice that Adorabella is constantly poking her head our of the door, as if she was observing her surroundings.
"What is that piece of paper you're holding?" Spitfire asked Twilight, who is using her magic to hold a sheet of paper with an aura.
"Adorabella wanted the Wonderbolts to do a stunt outside Rainbow's in the morning, but she couldn't get her words out very well, so she asked me to write down her ideas on this paper... will doing that be okay with you?" Twilight asked as she levitates the paper onto the desk and slowly drops it down. Spitfire puts on her glasses and starts reading it.
"Make patterns in the sky that looks like Rainbow's face, followed by patterns that look like her cutie mark... hmm, I'm sure we can figure something out," Spitfire nodded.
"Adorabella, come here," Spitfire orderer. She doesn't need to drag Adorabella to the desk, the forceful voice does. Adorabella nervously steps over to Spitfire's desk, so slowly that she feels like she's trying to resist in being dragged.
"The Wonderbolts will do this..." Spitfire started off. Adorabella nods.
"... if you do it with us. It'd be awesome if Rainbow saw you doing the stunts with us. Be up at seven," Spitfire finished. Adorabella's pupils shrank in fear. Even in Rainbow Dash's name, doing stunts with Wonderbolts is just too much for Adorabella to do.
"You don't have to do the actual stunt with us- just the uh- just start us off, then we follow what you laid out for us. I'll also let the team know you'll start us off when we do it for real. So there'll not even be any need for you to go to practice drills- just meet us outside on time," Spitfire compromised in a calmer voice, but after seeing Adorabella's pupils shrink, Spitfire realized that it was too much to ask of Adorabella.
Adorabella starts feeling more and more awkward and on edge. Adorabella shakes, then flaps her wings and bolts at the room through the door. Twilight and Spitfire goes to follow her.
By the runway...
Adorabella covers her head with her wings, crying. Rainbow Dash went all out for her, Adorabella still has the feeling that she owes hef. But yet, she struggles to be face to face and talk with Spitfire. Adorabella winders how she could ever show her immense gratitude, when she can't do the most basic of things on a merely single day? Adorabella feels so useless right now. She can do so little compared to Rainbow Dash.
"Get away from the runway- it's dangerous!" Spitfire yelled, grabbing and pulling Adorabella away from the runway. With her is also Twilight.
Adorabella sat silently while hiding her face behind her wings, fearful after being dragged.
"Sorry I pressured you- I keep forgetting you're not a Wonderbolt- I can sort it out," Spitfire spoke in a complimentary tone. She didn't forget, she was saying Adorabella is very skilled in flying. Spitfire just wishes that Adorabella was more confident.
Adorabella nods, understanding the context of what Spitfire said. Adorabella would've been even more on edge if it was somepony she didn't know dragged her out the way.
"I want to go..." Adorabella quietly mumbled to herself. She feels she has made the atmosphere very awkward.
Spitfire nudges Twilight.
"You should probably take her back- do let her know I'm happy to help fulfill her idea," Spitfire gently whispered. Twilight nods, and she walks to Adorabella. Spitfire sees the 2 fly off, and waves them off.
(Cloudominium)
Adorabella and Twilight returned to Rainbow Dash's house. Adorabella closes her eyes briefly, about to faint. Twilight catches her and helps her back up.
"Are you alright?" Twilight gently asked. Adorabella nods.
"I'll get the cinema tickets. I don't mind getting the tickets," Twilight softly reassured. Adorabella very weakly nods while weeping, feeling ashamed of herself. Whenever she feels she makes progress, she is 'reminded', dragged back down by herself, a weakness within her, consuming at her progress. She is without a doubt stronger than she was over 2 months ago, but she still feels very weal at times.
The Cloudominium's door opens, and Rainbow Dash walks out.
"Huh- are you alright- is she alright?" Rainbow Dash asked. She is worried that something bad happened to Adorabella. Twilight was about to answer for Adorabella, who briefly raises her left forehoof, interrupting Twilight.
"I wanted to try and get something together for your birthday... and I caved under my own pressure," Adorabella murmured. Rainbow Dash doesn't necessarily know how to answer, so she hugs Adorabella.
"Adorabella... no matter what you do... even if it's so small, I'll appreciate amything from you- okay? Alright?" Rainbow Dash warmly smiled as she rubs Adorabella's head. Adorabella smiles back, and in turn, makes Twilight smile. Rainbow Dash is good at making Adorabella smile when she is feeling down.
"I would stay but um... me and Starlight are... 'busy'..." Twilight vaguely stated. She didn't want to spoil her plans for Rainbow Dash's birthday. Twilight flaps her wings and flies off, waving to Rainbow Dash and Adorabella, who both waves back.
"I want to share with you my ideas for your birthdag... but I don't want to spoil it for you..." Adorabella sighed.
"You could ask Fluttershy or Pinkie- I would love spoilers, but I also don't want to hear spoilers," Rainbow Dash softly spoke.
"I understand," Adorabella nodded. She didn't want to spoil her ideas to Rainbow Dash.
"I could also do with a bit of space- sorry if that came out blunt- but I've got news that the Wonderbolts are gonna be doing another show in a few months from now, and I got to go to practice with them," Rainbow Dash added as she lets go of Adorabella.
"I'll uh, I'll go over to Fluttershy's, to give you space," Adorabella nodded. She flaps her wings. Adorabella says bye and then flies off as Rainbow Dash said bye back.
While Adorabella isn't interested in being a Wonderbolt, she sees Rainbow Dash take so much pride in being one. Rainbow Dash enjoys being a Wonderbolt, and Adorabella will give her space if that's what she needs. Adorabella fully supports her sisterly friend.
(Time-lapse)
Adorabella went to Fluttershy's cottage. Adorabella vented that she can't do anything for Rainbow Dash, Adorabella felt useless for collapsing under pressure. Fluttershy helped Adorabella with what she likes to do for Rainbow Dash's birthday. Adorabella really wants to be the one to buy the Daring Do movie tickets. After Adorabella was done at Fluttershy's, she returns to the Cloudominium, after Rainbow Dash was done practicing with the Wonderbolts.
On the Sunday, before Twilight left to go to Manehattan to pre-order tickets for the Daring Do movie, Adorabella came to the castle in Ponyville to give some of her bits she was saving up to Twilight. Adorabella wanted the tickets to come out of her bits. Twilight thought Adorabella's gesture was really generous and selfless. Adorabella said she wanted to buy the tickets, especially as she didn't feel comfortable going to Manehattan, a big city like Fillydelphia is.
Adorabella is in some ways thankful that she 'socially' collapsed at the Wonderbolts academy. Adorabella thought she would be able to cope in Manehattan because it's for Rainbow Dash. Adorabella took her 'social' collapse at the Wonderbolt academy as a warning, to not go to Manehattan. Adorabella couldn't imagine how poorlu she would've coped in Manehattan.
Before she left Twilight's castle on Ponyville, Adorabella explained her thought process on this to Twilight. The purple alicorn is thankful she helped Adorabella avoid a possibly very uncomfortable situation.
The next week at work goes normally for Adorabella. Adorabella met up with Ralph at Sugarcube Corner before work, then she goes to work to deliver letters, hangs out with Derpy during work breaks, have lunch, then deliver letters again, and meet up with Ralph at Sugarcube Corner after work.
On the Monday, like Adorabella said she would, she helped Pinkie Pie get things in place for Rainbow Dash's birthday. Pinkie Pie explained Derpy and the CMC will prepare the birthday cake at the CMC clubhouse. Pinkie Pie also made sure she told Adorabella where the clubhouse was.
On the Friday, Derpy wondered if Adorabella wanted to help, which she did want to help. So on Friday, after work had finished and after meeting up with Ralph, Adorabella heads to Derpy's house.

Friday afternoon...
Adorabella had finished meeting up with Ralph. After going back to the Cloudominium and taking off m her work uniform, she headed to and is now currently outside Derpy's house. Other than the green leaves and vines, the house itself is perfectly symmetrical. In the middle, at the front, is a wooden door that is painted white. On both sides of the door, there are windows, with a nailed-in hook on each side hanging muffin-baskets with flowers in them. Above the door is another window. There's also windows on both sides of the window in the middle. The roof is made of the very standard and common roof made of a thick layers of hay.
As Adorabella looks up to the roof, she remembers Ralph saying that multiple thick layers of hay with specific chemical and magical mix makes for a very cost-effective roof. It is also great at preventing rain drops. Unlike a stone or concrete or any solid roof that coulr have holes in for rain to leak through, the hay will absorb the rain while the rest of the rain runs down, with a layer of wood underneath to absorb more rain. The hay-and-wood-based roofs are very cheap to make, very easy to put together, and very quick to build.
Adorabella goes back to looking at the door, and walks to it. She nervously knocks on it, and hides her face behind her mane, incase the door is answered by somepony else. She hears the door open, and she trembles as she slowly uncovers her face.
"It's only me," Derpy chuckled. Adorabella uncovers her face and nervously chuckles back.
"Hey," Adorabella feebly spoke as she relaxes.
"Come in- I don't want you to get cold," Derpy smiled as she grabs Adorabella's right forehoof and gently tugs her, getting her to step forward. Derpy lets go as Adorabella steps inside.
They are in a hallway. The walls are painted yellow, the ceiling is made of wooden beams. There is lamps dangling from the ceiling in the middle of the hallway. The nearest door is to the left, which leads to the living room. There's another door, further down on the right-hoof side, which leads to the kitchen. At the end of the hallway is another door, which leads to a basement. The hallway at the end goes left, where there's stairs that go up.
"Th- thanks for letting m- me in," Adorabella smiled while stuttering. She didn't want to give 'negative vibes' by not being polite. It is Adorabella first time visiting Derpy's house, Adorabella is thankful for Derpy.
"How are you?" Derpy asked.
"I'm okay... unfortunately Ralph has to be somewhere tomorrow. So I won't be able to see him tomorrow," Adorabella replied. Her voice goes flat. She enjoys spending time with Ralph. She always feels down when she isn't able to see him. But she knows she'll see him on Sunday.
"I alweady got the cake ingrwedients ready," Derpy smiled as she leads Adorabella to the kitchen. The kitchen floor is made of black and white tiles.
As Adorabella goes in, she sees in front of her is a sink, on the opposite side as to where she is. Above the sink is a window with a windowsill, where there is various kitchen cleaning products, as well as flowers in flowerpots. In the space next to the sink is a dishwasher. To the right is the oven, which is already switched on. To the left, opposite the wall that has the window, are 4 large cupboards on the floor with a counter on top that has a kettle, microwave and toaster. Then there is 4 more large cupboards above that are attached to the wall. Then at the end of the kitchen, on the completely opposite to the oven, is the backdoor, which leads to the garden. On the left side of the garden door is a tall white fridge, with a small freezer bellow. Both doors has a white hoof bar. The fridge door is significantly taller than the freezer door.
As Adorabella walked in, she saw scales, teaspoons, tablespoons, teaspoons. There is also a very weird space-like whisk with a hole on the end. It almost looks like one of them guns from a sci-fi novel, but with a rod welded on, to hold on to.
She also saw various different ingredients layed out on the counter. A few eggs in a bowl, a bag of self-raising flour, unopened packets of chocolate bars, a bag caster sugar, a tub of butter, a bag of cocoa powder, a jar of Hooftella, and a bowl of crushed-up nuts. Adorabella's stomach growls at the sight of the ingredients, mainly because of the nuts, because it reminds her of cashews.
"I- I don't know how to make a cake..." Adorabella mumbled. She does not remember making a cake, because she has never made one before.
"That's okay- how about this? I'll make the cake, and you do the icing? Sound fair?" Derpy proposed as she opens the chocolate bar packets and breaking them up into small pieces. Adorabella nods.
For over an hour, Adorabella watches Derpy mix the ingredients in a very specific order. Adorabella watches Derpy crack the eggs into the bowl, then pouring a large amount of flour in as well.
"Th- the scales..." Adorabella pointed out for Derpy, but it's too late late. Derpy had put in far too much flour, that is a definite.
"Oops- guess Rwainbow will have a biiiiiiig fullilliiiiiiing cake!" Derpy crazily chuckled as she starts chucking all the already laid out ingredients into the bowl one by one. Adorabella sniggers a little bit, before going back to paying attention, to memorize how to make it if she hereelf wanted to make the recipe. Meanwhile, Derpy is still putting in the ingredients in an order. Once all the ingredients have been put into the bowl, Derpy starts mixing it with that weird space-looking whisk.
"D- don't you have a d- daughter, Dinky, r- right?" Adorabella double checked. It is not too late in the afternoon, but schools should be finished by now. Adorabella is just concerned.
"Oh, she haz gone to a fwiend'z house to play," Derpy reassured. She could tell from the tone, that Adorabella was worried about Dinky.
Derpy finishes mixing the cake mix. She steps back and bends over to open the cupboard door that is nearest to the door to the hallway. She grabs a large rectangular tray, and pops it on top of the counter. She pours her mixture into the tray. The gooey-like mixture slowly expands, until it touches the edges of the tray.
"Cah yar ohen gher ohen?" Derpy asked as she grabs the edge of the tray with her mouth. Adorabella nods, and opens the oven's bottom door. She hastily steps back as Derpy almost walked into her. Luckily, Derpy puts the tray into the oven without knocking Adorabella in the process.
"Go sit in the fwront room- nearest door to the front door- I'll sort all this out, should take a few hourz to bake- I'll join you once this is sorted," Derpy instructed. Adorabella nods and walks out of the kitchen and turns left, walks a few steps, and turns right, into the living room.
The living room has pale yellow-painted walls, a nice cozy-feeling kind of pale yellow. There is also a brown sofa with muffin-shaped hoof-rests with a rectangular wooden table in front, both of which are next to the door on the left. There is another rectangular wooden table on the opposite end of the room to a door that leads back into the hallway. There is also a window to her left, and a large dark brown wooden cupboard.
Adorabella gets on the sofa and lays down while sighing, arching her head back, resting it on the right-side hoof-rest. Derpy then walks in, and giggles.
"Nice sofa, rwight?" Derpy giggled as she tries to leap onto the sofa next to Adorabella. However, Derpy overleaps, and tumbles to the floor as she landed.
"Are you okay- are you hurt!?" Adorabella gasped as she immediately jumps up and swiftly comes over to help Derpy back up. As Derpy pulls on Adorabella, who isn't strong enough to stand firm, also falls to the floor. Adorabella lands on Derpy, and both of them chuckle. Derpy gets up while helping Adorabella up as well, and both of them chuckle. They get on the sofa, and after a long week at work, they fall asleep.
(A few hours later)
Adorabella is laying on her back on the sofa, staring at the ceiling, after a few hours of napping. She sees that Derpy had already woken up as she's no longer on the sofa. Derpy had probably gone back into the kitchen to check on the cake.
"Adowrabella?" Derpy called out aloud. Adorabella flinches, she was very settled down with the silience.
"Coming," Adorabella yawned as she drags herself off of the very comfortable sofa and walks through the door, into the hallway. She turns left and heads to the door on the right, where the kitchen is. When walking into the kitchen, Adorabella sees that Derpy had put the cake on top of a sheet of tinfoil on the counter. Adorabella also sees a piping bag full of blue icing as well as a bag of rainbow sprinkles.
"I got the spwinkles out rweady for you," Derpy lightly smiled. Adorabella nods as she grabs the piping bag. She uses her full force, expecting herself to struggle. But she woefully overestimated the piping bag's resistance, and the icing goes all over the counter. Adorabella gasps as she trembles back in terror.
"Adowrabella- it's okay-" Derpy softly spoke, vut Adorabella feared the potential wrath. She ran out of the kitchen and turns left, running to the front door. She cries as she tries to shake the door open, but the door doesn't budge. She doesn't even make the door shake. She sees Derpy approaching her. Adorabella curls into a ball, whimpering.
"Don't beat me- don't beat me- don't beat me- don't beat me..."
"I'm I- I wasn't going t- to beat you..." Derpy weakly spoke, shaking. She steps back, feeling hurt. Adorabella very shakily gets up while hiding her face behind her mane.
"I... I- I make mistakes too..." Derpy lost her speech. She felt hurt that Adorabella thought she would hit her.
"Wh- when I- when I made a mess- a mess... father- he- he..." Adorabella trembled as she speaks.
Knock knock knock...
Adorabella cries aloud as she leaps to Derpy and hugs her tight.
"Mummy I'm home!"
"Hang on Dinky!" Derpy spoke aloud as she sits on the floor with Adorabella, hugging her.
"Father used to beat me when I made a mess..."
"I'm not gonna beat you... I'm gonna hug you..." Derpy whispered as she gently rocks Adorabella side to side like a baby, letting her cry and calm down.
"Mummy are you alright?" Dinky spoke aloud from outside the front door. She can hear the crying.
"Yeah- I'm just- come in but go upstairs until I call you down," Derpy firmly ordered. The front door opens, and Dinky walks in.
"Oh- is she alright?" Dinky asked.
"Go upstairs- I'll talk to you in a minute," Derpy ordered.
"Am I in trouble?" Dinky asked.
"No- just go upstairs- you're not in trouble," Derpy reassured. Dinky nods as she jumps over Derpy and Adorabella, and walks upstairs.
"Are you alright? It's an accident- I'm not mad okay- see?" Derpy smiled, and while her eyes are looking in different directions, both eyes are roughly looking towards Adorabella.
"I thought I had to put full strength in it because I'm weak as you know... but... I- I didn't expect it t- to- t- to..." Adorabella murmured as she stops crying.
"You have some stwength... as you got icing all over my counter," Derpy lightly chuckled, using Adorabella's mishap to compliment her strength, even if she isn't strong at all. Derpy is trying to make Adorabella feel better, and it works.
"Let's clean up together," Derpy smiled. Adorabella nods as she very weakly smiles back.
(Time-lapse)
Adorabella and Derpy cleaned up the icing mess on the counter. Adorabella felt even safer with Derpy, to explain more about the past. Derpy now understood that getting the icing on the counter made Adorabella have a severe panic attack.
After the icing was cleaned up, Adorabella does the icing, with a tiny bit of help from Derpy. Adorabella applies the icing with the piping bag, and Derpy smoothens the icing with a spoon. Once the icing had been applied, Adorabella tried opening the bag of sprinkes, but wasn't able to. So Derpy opens the bag for Adorabella.
Now with the sprinkles bag opened, Adorabella starts pouring sprinkles onto the cake. She only stops once everywhere on top is covered in sprinkles. Derpy then puts an extra sheet of tinfoil over the cake, puts in on a white plate, and puts it in the fridge. The birthday cake is now ready for next week. Adorabella hanged around a little bit, while Derpy explained to Dinky why Adorabella was upset without revealing too much.
(End of time-lapse)
Adorabella is outside, just about to leave Derpy's. As she was about to fly back to the Cloudominium, Derpy stops her.
"Are you alwright? You know I'm not mad rwight?" Derpy double checked. Adorabella nods.
"You can talk to me- my ears are always open," Derpy reassuringly stated.
"Thank you," Adorabella smiled, having a slightly stronger smile this time. Derpy smiles while waving as Adorabella flies off into the distance.
(Time-skipping to Saturday morning)
At the rock farm...
Marble waits outside for Adorabella to show up. She looks up at the sky, and she sees a white speck. Then a second later, there is pink behind the speck of white, and then another second later, Adorabella lands in front.
"Hey Adorabella," Marble softly spoke, her face lighting up.
"Hey Marble," Adorabella warmly smiled while tilting her head right, which Marble copies. They copy each other, swinging their head left and right a few more times, and giggles.
"I- is there a- a rock I c- can use?" Adorabella asked.
"Mhm, yeah," Marble nodded.
"I- I wanna make a- a pony figure, for R- Rainbow, out of r- rock," Said Adorabella.
"Oh uh... we'll need a pickaxe, and I think Limestone has all the pickaxes locked away- wait here," Marble responded as she turns around and opens the door and goes inside. A few minutes later, Marble comes back, with Limestone, who has a pickaxe on her back.
"Morning," Limestone yawned. She was sleeping in late. She loves the weekends because she can sleep in late.
"Hi," Adorabella nodded.
"You want a spare rock don't you?" Limestone checked while rubbing her eyes. Adorabella nods.
"Right. Follow me," Limestone yawned as she walks forward. Adorabella and Marble follows her.
"Is it any rock you're after? Or something specific?" Limestone asked Adorabella.
"A- any stone," Adorabella replied.
"Well..." Limestone spoke as she stops walking. Adorabella and Marble also stops walking.
"Okay that makes this easier- Right, you have got all these rocks out here to choose from. Pick any one of them, I'm not fussed, pick whatever one you wanna make a figure out of," Limestone stated, pointing at a vast field of rocks. She gives Marble the pickaxe, which Marble takes and holds with her mouth.
"Marble, show her how to do make small figures, I'm gonna get a bit more rest," Linestone yawned as she walks back to the house.
Marble nudges Adorabella, to get her to follow. Adorabella follows Marble, both of them are walking over to the rocks. Adorabella finds a nice looking rock, and she pokes Marble. Both of them sit down on the ground, facing opposite each other, with the rock in between. Marble spits out the pickaxe, which lands on the ground to her right.
"Usually... we make rocky figures of ourselves on Hearth's Warming. It is a tradition my family has. But... I can use those skills and make a figure for you," Marble shared.
"I- I want to make it... Rainbow has done so much for me... I have to make the figure," Adorabella feebly spoke. Marble nods, she understands how much Rainbow Dash means to Adorabella.
Marble passes the pickaxe to Adorabella, who grabs it with her mouth. But then she drops it.
"Agh- my teeth- agh..." Adorabella winced. Her jaw wasn't strong enough to hold the pickaxe.
"We can do it together," Marble softly spoke. She grabs the pickaxe with her left forehoof. Adorabella telepathically understood what Marble was getting at. She shuffles over to sit next to Marble on the left, and grabs the pickaxe with her right forehoof. The grey earth pony and white pegasus began to pick at the rock very carefully and at specific points. Then suddenly, chunks of it break apart, and the end result is a stone figure.
"Thank you- thank you- Rainbow will love this," Adorabella hugged Marble, who hugs back. Both of them are lightly smiling.
"Happy to help you," Marble smiled. Adorabella nods while smiling back. She leans on Marble.
"There's chalk indoors, right- well, paint would be better- anything to colour the figure- there's something to colour it, right?" Adorabella asked.
"Mhm," Marble nodded.
"I can paint it and then while it dries, we can play chess," Adorabella thought.
"I still want revenge from the last game we played," Marble playfully frowned. Adorabella giggles, she understood Marble isn't actually mad.
"Oh," Adorabella smirked.
"Lets go inside," Marble firmly spoke.
"Mhm," Adorabella nodded.
Adorabella and Marble goes back inside the rock farm house with the little stone figure they made. Adorabella paints it while Marble got the chess board and gets it ready. After Adorabella finishes painting the little stone figure, she plays chess with Marble. She gets her revenge and beats Adorabella in chess. But they then play another game, and Adorabella wins this time. They hang around for a few hours, until lunch time. Adorabella went back to have lunch with Rainbow Dash, while hiding the present. A few hours after lunch, Adorabella went to see Fluttershy while taking the present she made with Marble for Rainbow Dash.
(Later in the afternoon)
In the afternoon...
Fluttershy is sitting on the floor, wrapping a box in wrapping in light blue starry paper.
"There we go... the last bit..." Fluttershy almost finished wrapping the paper. She reaches for the sellotape to her left. But she quickly realizes she is out of sellotape, until the roll flashed white and now has a full roll of sellotape.
"Thanks Discord," Fluttershy said aloud. A flash appears a couple metres away, and Discord appears.
"Do you hear it?" Discord inquired while pointing at the cellotape. Fluttershy puts her right ear against the cellotape, and she does hear something, it sounds like somepony singing. But as she focuses...
Knock knock knock...
"It's unlocked!" Fluttershy stated aloud. The door opens, and Adorabella slowly flies in, and is holding something with both forehooves. She tries to and successfully shuts the door with her rear hooves.
"Hello Adorabella," Fluttershy warmly greeted.
"Hey... look at what I made," Adorabella said as she gently puts the figure down on the floor. Fluttershy looks at the little rainbow and blue pony figure that's made of stone.
"Wow... that looks really good," Fluttershy smiled.
"Marble helped me," Adorabella stated.
"That's nice- Rainbow will really like what you two made," Fluttershy softly stated. She liked the little stone pony figure of Rainbow Dash that Adorabella and Marble made together.
"Let's wrap it up," Said Discord. He snaps his eagle claws, and the pony figure flashes. As the flash disappears, a box covered in wrapping paper appears in it's place. The pony figure is in the box.
"Th- thanks," Adorabella stuttered slightly as she looks at Discord.
"It's my pleasure Adorabella," Discord politely spoke. He steps back, in case Adorabella wants space. But Adorabella steps toward him.
"I- I'm... sorry, for disappearing... last week..." Adorabella mumbled.
"I understand. If anything... I should be sorry... I should be sorry for adding myself to your problrms," Discord weakly spoke. He extends his right hand to Adorabella, who reaches for his lion paw with her left forehoof.
"L- like I said on th- that Saturday nine weeks ago wh- when we saw each other since then... I- I forgive you. I- I j- just needed time to... to be comfortable... around you," Adorabella stuttered. It is still nerve-wracking being around Discord, and especially without the necklace with the shard. But Adorabella feels a lot more comfortable around Discord.
"Is something wrong?" Fluttershy asked. She knows Adorabella is now more comfortable around Discord, but Fluttershy can tell by the stuttering that there is also something else bothering Adorabella.
"I... I've been thinking... when I went to the academy... I'm going to surprise them next Saturday when they come to do the stunts when Rainbow wakes up. I'm gonna start them off... but I'm also scared to," Adorabella mumbled, looking at the floor with dullness in her eyes.
"I also really don't feel comfortable going to Manehattan- I want to go with her to the cinema but I just don't geel comfortable going to Manehattan..." Adorabella added in the same tone.
"I think it's really sweet you'll do anything for Rainbow. But... you shouldn't force yourself to do something you're not comfortable in doing," Fluttershy said her opinion. Adorabella wanted to go to Manehattan, but she knows she shouldn't. Adorabella understood what Fluttershy really meant she should not go to Manehattan.
"I'm still scared of losing her as a friend too... I know it sounds silly but- but we are so different... sure we're both fast at flying... but what else do we share?" Adorabella sighed. She loves her sisterly friend, but one of her biggest fears is losing that sisterly friend due to their vast and enormous differences.
"Your friendship with Rainbow may seem bizarre to others. But if it makes sense between you two, that is what matters," Discord responded.
"Look at me and Fluttershy- be honest, at first glance us two as friends wouldn't make sense, would it?" Discord asked while sniggering.
"Uh um uh..." Adorabella stammered. She got Discord's point. Fluttershy and Discord are so different, but their friendship is so strong because they're different. Just like Fluttershy and Discord balance each other, Adorabella and Rainbow Dash also balance each other.
"I think you and Rainbow are really cute as friends," Fluttershy smiled.
"Th- thanks," Adorabella smiled back, slightly blushing.
"And I uh I- I think the same ab- about you two as well," Adorabella stuttered back. Fluttershy slightly blushes.
"I got to get going now... so... I'll see you uh, next week, right?" Adorabella double checked as she grabs the box with both forehooves and flaps her wings, flying to the door and then opening it.
"Yeah, see you next Saturday," Fluttershy nodded.
"Bye Adorabella," Discord said as he as well as Fluttershy waves to Adorabella, who flies outside.
"Cya," Adorabella responded as she waves while slowly shutting the door.
(Time-skipping to next Saturday)
Spitfire, Soarin, Thunderline, Vapor Trail, Sky Stinger and Misty Fly are flying en route to the Cloudominium. It is Rainbow Dash's birthday.
"Wait!" They hear a voice scream. They come to a halt, hovering on the spot. Flying to them is Adorabella.
"I see you changed your mind?" Spitfire smiled. Adorabella nods. She hovers back a bit, keeping her distance from the other Wonderbolts with Spitfire.
"All of you, give Adorabella a round of applause!" Spitfire demanded of the other Wonderbolts, who clap with their forehooves. Adorabella hides her face behind her mane.
"Your part is very simple. Do that Adoraboom, and that's literally it. You got this," Spitfire reassured. Adorabella nods.
"Did you tell Rainbow to be up by seven?" Spitfire asked. Adorabella nods.
"Alright! Lets go!" Spitfire loudly spoke. She as well as the Wonderbolts follow Adorabella, and flies to the Cloudominium.
(Inside)
Rainbow Dash yawned as she came diwnstairs and had walked into the living room. She has gone to check on Adorabella, who should be asleep on the sofa near the window. But instead, she finds a piece of paper that says 'look outside the window and look up'. Rainbow Dash then hears a loud boom outside. She does what the paper says, she walks to the window and looks out of it, then looks up. She sees her face in the clouds, with a pink ring and trail behind it.
"Wow..." Rainbow Dash smiled.
"Happy birthday sister!" Adorabella screamed happily as from out of nowhere lunges onto Rainbow Dash and hugs her, catching her by surprise, and they fall to the floor together.
"Woah- ah ha hey Adorabella," Rainbow Dash chuckled.
"Happy birthday," Adorabella smiled.
"Thanks- and... did you do that outside?" Rainbow Dash asked, hugging Adorabella back.
"With help from a... a few... a few Wonderbolts..." Adorabella stammered while looking away as she gets up. Rainbow Dash also gets up.
"Wait... you got the Wonderbolts to- and you- come here..." Rainbow Dash's eyes water as she pulls Adorabella in for another hug.
"You've come so far..." Rainbow Dash emotionally spoke. Adorabella closes her eyes and stands with Rainbow Dash for a few minutes. Then they let go of each other when hearing...
"Happy birthday Crash!"
Spitfire, Soarin, Thunderline, Vapor Trail, Sky Stinger and Misty Fly all walk into the living room. Adorabella jumps and steps backwards while hiding her face behind her mane, but slowly shows her face as she even more slowly steps forward.
"Thank you- that was awesome what you all did! That was so awesome!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed while having a big smile on her face.
"You should really thank your friend," Said Soarin.
"It was her idea," Misty Fly added onto Soarin.
"We would've never thought of this without her," Vapor Trail stated.
"I was... very nervous to do this at first..." Adorabella admitted while mumbling.
"It weren't that bad was it?" Spitfire firmly spoke.
"Now- just because this is your birthday- doesn't mean you can skip our practice run for the show later," Spitfire sternly stated, looking at Rainbow Dash. Everybody else chuckles to that.
"No ma'am!" Rainbow Dash firmly responded.
"That's what I like to hear!" Spitfire nodded while patting Rainbow Dash on the back.
After the Wonderbolts been and gone, it is just Rainbow Dash and Adorabella alone together again.
"Are you coming to Manehattan to see the Daring Do film with us?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"About that..." Adorabella murmured.
"I wanted to go with you, but I also just do not feel comfortable going to Manehattan..." Adorabella sighed.
"That's alright, I understand. It's a big city... and it probably reminds you about Fillydelphia," Rainbow Dash responded. Adorabella nods.
"Reason I was able to go back to Fillydelphia to watch that Wonderbolt show... was because I while I hated my life there as a filly... I knew the place- plus the show was outside. I have never been to Manehattan... and the cinema... we'd have to go inside and... there'd be no place for me to go if I got overstimulated- overwhelmed," Adorabella explained.
"Yeah I understand, I get why you don't feel comfortable going. I know you're always grateful, I'll always remember that. I like that about you, you're very kind, loyal, and awesome. What you did outside with the Wonderbolts was awesome Adorabella," Said Rainbow Dash.
"I hope you enjoy the film though. Twilight got the tickets for you and the others. I was going to get them with Twilight... but again... I didn't feel comfortable going to Manehattan," Adorabella said meekly.
"Thanks, and again, I understand. You don't need to be sorry for everything," Rainbow Dash reassured. Adorabella nods.
"I should get going... there's other things I must do for you while you're at Manehattan," Adorabella stated.
"I've also got to join with my friends at the station," Rainbow Dash responded.
Rainbow Dash and Adorabella walk out of the living room and into the foyer, to the door. Rainbow Dash opens it, and she walks out, followed by Adorabella, who closes the door behind her, and Rainbow Dash locks it. Rainbow Dash flies to the train station while Adorabella flies to Sweet Apple Acres to find the clubhouse.
At Sweet Apple Acres...
After a few minutes upon arriving, and looking for a tree house in many of the apple trees in the farm's green grassy field, Adorabella finds a tree house. The tree house she finds is fairly big, being about the size of a bedroom in a regular house. The tree house has a red brownish coloured roof, and it's walls are a very pale colour. It has green steps, which go up, then halfway go up right, leading to a door made of brown wood, that has a heart at the top of it. Above that door is a purple coloured window. There's also another purple coloured window on the left side of the tree house. There is also a green platform outside, with yellow fencing around the edges.
Adorabella sees the door open and Derpy walks out onto the green platform. The grey pegasus looks up and spots her. Adorabella waves as she slowly descends and carefully lands in front of Derpy.
"Hello again," Derpy politely greeted with a smile.
"Hey," Adorabella softly responded.
"I didn't know you knew them as well... until Pinkie told me on the Monday before- you never told me," Adorabella added.
"Oh I've know them for ages now- Dinky goez to the same school. They once tried getting cutie marks in muffin baking... so I do know them... quite well," Derpy chuckled. Adorabella nods, she has heard a few of the crazy things the CMC did in the past.
"Hey you're that babysitter we had a while ago at Rainbow's- wondered why 'Adorabella' sounded familiar." Walking out of the door is Scootaloo.
"Hey Scootaloo," Adorabella nodded.
"You- wow you remember who I am- you do have a good memory, that's for sure," Scootaloo spoke in a complimentary tone.
"I do... I remember too much- even I think how crazily good I remember things," Adorabella stated with a slight mumble in her voice.
"How crazy are we talking?" Scootaloo wondered. Adorabella thinks of something Scootaloo may remember, and she does think of something.
"Wh- when Rainbow was with the W- Wonderbolts practicing for a show ten weeks and three days ago- correct me if I did somehow miscounted... I was looking after you, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom... you all wanted to see how g- good my memory was. I- I got ten cups and a piece of paper, which y- you screwed up, and you placed it in the n- ninth cup to your right. You were mixing the cups while t- t- trying to distract me with q- questions about our cutie marks... a- and then I- I- I shocked you and your two friends when I lifted the correct cup, which was the fourth cup to my left, which would be the eighth cup to your right," Adorabella recounted that moment with surgically pin point accuracy.
"You- you even remember exactly how long ago too? Even I didn't remember all that..." Scootaloo is then left speechless. The amount of memory strength Adorabella has really is crazy.
"Can I come inside?" Adorabella asked. Scootaloo steps back and lets Adorabella in. Derpy also walks in, and she closes the door behind her. To the right is a green wooden ladder, that leads up into the roof. The wooden walls has a pale yellowish skin-coloured texture to it. There is also a window to the left and right, with curtains. At the back of the clubhouse, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom are checking the decorations. They wave to Adorabella while checking the decorations. There is also a table with a large object is on a large playe and is covered in tinfoil. Adorabella knows that is Rainbow Dash's birthday cake.
"Where do those steps go up to?" Adorabella asked. Adorabella looked out the window to her right and only just notices there's more steps going up.
"They lead to a little area with a telescope- did you not see the litte box on top?" Sweetie Belle asked. Adorabella shakes her head.
"It's alright, everypony misses that when they come here for the first time," Sweetie Belle stated.
"Also... did R- Rainbow ask wh- what time she will be here? She didn't tell me," Adorabella asked as she looks at Derpy and Scootaloo for awnsers.
"She's gonna be here in the afternoon after watching the film and having lunch in Manehattan," Apple Bloom replied.
"W- well... we've g- got a lot of t- time," Adorabella nodded as she takes note.
The CMC are busy cello-taping several pictures of Rainbow Dash on the wall, some of the pictures are fairly new, and some being old photos, including pictures of Rainbow Dash as a filly.
Meanwhile, Adorabella and Derpy hang up a long string with 28 triangle flags with a capital letter on each one. When every triangle flag, they spell out H-A-P-P-Y-(blank)-B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y-(blank)-R-A-I-N-B-O-W-(blank)-D-A-S-H-!
After hanging up the string with the triangle flags, Derpy then unwraps the tinfoil on the covering the massive rectangular cake. There's 11 letter-shaped rainbow-coloured candles on the cake that had been added. Together the candles spell out 'Rainbow Dash'.
After the CMC are finished cello-taping the pictures to the walls, they start bringing over all of Rainbow Dash's presents, which had been safely kept in the barn. They bring the presents over from the barn over to the clubhouse.
Everything has been set in place. Adorabella, Derpy and the CMC can relax. All they need to do now is wait for Rainbow Dash. In the time they wait, they have lunch, and then do more waiting...
(A few hours into the afternoon)
Adorabella, Derpy, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo are in the clubhouse. Apple Bloom is outside, keeping watch. They don't know when they will arrive. Then...
"They're coming- they're coming-" The door opens, and Apple Bloom trots inside speaking aloud.
"Quick! Light the candles!" Scootaloo exclaimed at Sweetie Belle, who uses magic to light the candles. Adorabella trots out of the open door to get away from the sound of magic. The others thought she was trying to quickly get outside to going lead Rainbow Dash inside the clubhouse, and thought not much of it.
Adorabella sees the mane 6, Spike and Starlight walking to the clubhouse. Adorabella waves to them, and they wave back. She does step away from the door, to the corner that's to her left, to give them space. She is happy to see them.
As they come up the steps and onto the platform, they greet each other.
"H- h- how was th- the film?" Adorabella asked.
"It was awesome!" Rainbow Dash squealed with joy.
"It was slightly different to the books though," Pinkie Pie stated.
"It's a movie adaptation, darling. It is going to be slightly different to the books," Rarity responded.
"That's actually a good point," Spike nodded in agreement.
"It was still uh, interesting to watch," Said Fluttershy.
"I s- see you all had a- a good time," Adorabella smiled. She is happy her friends had a good time.
"Yeah, it was a good day out," Starlight nodded.
"Birthday gal first!" Applejack joyfully said as she playfully pushes Rainbow Dash into the clubhouse.
"Hey!" Rainbow Dash laughed.
The mane 6, Spike and Starlight walk inside the clubhouse. Adorabella follows them in, but she steps back out. She stays by the door though. But with all her friends and 3 foals in there, it was too crowded inside for Adorabella.
Everypony sings happy birthday, and then Rainbow Dash blows out the candles. Then she starts opening her presents. Some of her favourite presents is the little stone figure of her, which was made by Adorabella and Marble. Rainbow Dash also got a brand new set Wonderbolt uniform. She also got a lot of Daring Do merchandise as well. Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie is taking pictures with a camera she had pulled out of her mane from nowhere.
After Rainbow Dash finishes opening her presents and while everypony chats to each other, Adorabella awkwardly stands still, not talking, keeping to herself. But she is happy that Rainbow Dash is happy, that is what really matters. Deep down though, Adorabella feels like she could've done more, much more.
"Hey, you doing alright there Adorabella? Just know you can have time outside if you need it okay," Rainbow Dash reassured. Adorabella nods.
"Will you come to Sugarcube Corner later at dinner time? It is going to be public... so I wanted to let you know," Rainbow Dash asked. Adorabella looks away as she shakes her head when hearing that the celebration will be public.
"Sorry... sorry if I didn't do much for you- I wanted to make this birthday as special as you made mine feel special... but I feel like I didn't too much... first I didn't go to the cinema with you and now I also won't be going to Sugarcube Corner- I should be spending time with you- not away from you..." Adorabella sighed while looking away even more. Rainbow Dash gently pulls Adorabella's face so she faces her.
"Hey, it's alright- I mean, yeah presents are awesome and all... but presents are never more awesome than the ponies that got them," Rainbow Dash gently reassured.
"Besides, we can spend alond time together back at my place later on. How does that sound-" Rainbow Dash stops talking when Adorabella leaps forward and hugs her. Rainbow Dash smiles as she returns the hug. After Pinkie Pie cuts the cake and everypony has a slice, Adorabella and Rainbow Dash chill outside the clubhouse, sitting down together. Adorabella leans on Rainbow Dash, and Rainbow Dash wraps her right wing around Adorabella. Their sisterly bond is very strong, just like it would be if they were real sisters. It didn't matter they were not sisters by blood, they are sisters by friendship.
