Nick, Cordula and Mendel waited out until it was night to sneak in and while doing that, Mendel decided to explore the place until the mini spy bot stumbled upon something very familiar "Whoa..." Mendel gasped in surprise, startling Cordula and Nick.

"You found something?"

Nick looked at the computer on Mendel's hand "Isn't that-" Mendel began but was interrupted by Nick, whose eyes narrowed in suspicion "The same hangar where the military is studying the First Godzilla's Remains" Cordula peered at the hangar shown on the screen.

"Why would there be so many military and less scientists there?"

Mendel quickly moved the mini spy bot towards where Dr. Sopler was standing "Load this into the transport and standby for departure to Site Omega" They heard Dr. Sopler say to one of the solders with his mouth not even moving.

"Mendel, zoom in on Sopler's eyes" Cordula said as Mendel complied and paused the feed "You see that glowing eyes?" Cordula pointed out "It's like the aliens back on the Leviathan" Nick replied "Nothing could've survived that explosion" Mendel said as he peered down below and towards the entrance of the military base.

"Unless they survived without surviving" Nick said and Cordula's mind quickly went into the Undead Movies she watched with her relatives and her face paled at every scene flashing in her mind "Whatever it is your thinking is scaring me too much Cordula!" Mendel said as he shook Cordula off from her daze.

Regaining her composure, she coughed and gave a weary smile to Nick "Continue" Clearing his throat, Nick continued "The aliens were telepathic. What if they uploaded their alien synaptic patterns into human hosts?" Getting into what Nick was saying, Mendel added.

"Replacing Sopler and Hoffman's minds with their own?"

"Is that even possible?" Cordula asked "Human beings use less than 10% of their brains. Maybe Sopler and Hoffman are still in there somewhere" Nick stated and Cordula snapped her fingers "Like a hypnosis kind of thing!" She grinned when Nick narrowed his eyes when he recognized a pair of boots "Hello..."

Mendel quickly pulled back the spy bot before it could be seen and raised the screen up to see who it was that almost bump into them "Elsie?" Mendel gasped "Something's happening" Cordula said when she saw Elsie suddenly jerk and clutch her head.

For a moment, they saw the real Elsie look around in confusion before Sopler placed her back into mind control "Oh Elsie..." Cordula really wanted to punch the doctor's face right about now "It all fits! Sopler shows up at our headquarters and suddenly we're all at each other's throats. The aliens have been playing us. And with H.E.A.T out of the way..."

"They're using Elsie and Hicks to rebuild their equipment" Nick finishes while Mendel moved the spider cam to another location, keeping its lenses on Elsie and Sopler. "I thought Hicks moved the alien technology to Site Omega. Wherever that is" Mendel said.

"Elsie Knows"

"Begin Reanimation Sequence"

They heard Sopler say from the spider cam's audio recorder. Their gazes turned back to the screen only for it to suddenly become static. Cordula winced at the noise it produced while Mendel let out a sound of frustration "Signal Noise. Big time electromagnetic interference and it's getting stronger. Tremendous power flux"

No matter how Mendel tried to fix the problem it didn't seem to work until the screen blackened with a final sound of the power going out "The surge must have fried N.I.G.E.L's circuits" Mendel said, feeling disappointed they didn't get any possible leads on what the aliens were doing until he saw Cordula and Nick already making their way down "Where are you two going?" Mendel asked.

"To get Elsie out of there"

"And find out more on what the aliens are hiding"

Nick and Cordula replied before Mendel let out a sigh "I was afraid you two were going to say that" He replied as he followed after them. Cordula snorted "You knew the dangers of this team and yet you still follow us. You're brave Mendel" Cordula commented and Mendel gave a small smile of assurance in return.

~oOo~

Getting in was surprisingly easy which Mendel theorized that the aliens were mostly keeping a close watch on the experiment they were hiding. It was easy for them to sneak inside, avoid any detection from the cameras installed around the area until they stood in front of a locked door.

"Mendel..." Nick called "Just a minute" Mendel replied, eyes zeroed on his mini computer screen before the metal doors swung open and on the ground lay the spider cam, its lenses staring up at them. Mendel quickly pocketed the two and followed after Nick and Cordula as they silently hid behind a Forklift Truck that steed beside a few boxes.

They watched for a few moments before there was a movement of the metal doors on the ground opening with steam coming out. Nick squinted his eyes to get a clearer look "What..." They noticed a familiar shape slowly coming out of the steam and Mendel's eyes almost popped open when the smoke cleared "Godzilla?"

"Yes but not our Godzilla, this is the first one" Cordula covered her mouth to hide how shocked she was "What the hell did they do to it?!"

"They turned it into a cyborg" Nick replied just as Cyborg-Zilla roared out loud. Unlike Godzilla's roar which was loud and full of life with the intent to communicate to others, Cyborg-Zilla's roar was dead and almost mechanic like.

Freaky to hear AND watch up close.

"Nick can we go home now" Mendel's obvious shaking voice aid behind the stunned Nick and Cordula. "Bio-system stable. Neural Relays Functioning" Elsie informed from her post. Sopler raised a hand and the creature went down for him to pet "It's alive and it's ours to command" Sopler said "If that thing ever gets out, there will be a massive war and possible invasion on our hands. And here I thought having monsters living on Earth is enough..." Cordula trailed off when Nick suddenly shot towards where Elsie is.

"Nick!" Mendel cried out harshly "He's lost it..." Cordula muttered before looking around for a way to escape. Her gaze drifted to the Forklift truck beside her and quickly searched for the keys "Mendel do you have any idea how to turn this thing on?" Mendel looked at me in bewilderment.

"The moment Nick finds out how reckless he was back there, we need a quick escape or risk becoming canned food to that monstrosity" No words were needed as Mendel quickly tried to start the truck through the interwoven wires.

Cordula was about to shout out to Mendel to hurry up when the truck lurched and Mendel speedily drove straight towards Nick "Get in already!" Mendel shouted. Cordula shifted to make room as Nick made a dive before Cyborg-Zilla made any move for attack.

Mendel hastily swerved the car straight into a door with Cyborg-Zilla tailing after them with a roar "When Elsie said that, I thought it was just only the head first..." Cordula said, feeling her years just went a tad bot shorter as Cyborg-Zilla managed to loom over them.

"Woah..." Nick gasped, Mendel swerved to the gap in between two warehouses "Please tell me that thing is not following us?" Mendel said as he looked behind before Cordula held his head and moved it straight to the road. "Oh no it's not. Just moving right behind us very quickly, now keep your head on the road!" Cordula answered before she looked back.

Cyborg-Zilla crouched down and Nick thought for sure the batteries of that thing must ave died until there was the telltale sign of a blaster canon being fired "Look out!" Cordula shouted just as Mendel swerved sharply to the right. The blast barely missed them by an inch but the debris from the now demolished warehouse managed to hit them.

They headed towards Pier 3 when Cyborg-Zilla suddenly jumped over to them and shot another canon towards them. All three were too much in shock to make a sound when the blast hit the ground close behind them and the blast sent them straight to the air.

"OH...!" Cordula managed a gasped when Mendel managed to quickly land on a slab of the ground that had been flung off from the ground. He lost footing and the Forklift quickly tilted to the side before it fell. "Ugh...you sure you haven't gone into any stunts involving vehicles Mendel?" Cordula groaned. Mendel, unfortunately didn't have anything to say when Cyborg-Zilla managed to corner them.

Cyborg-Zilla roared as it lowered its head with its mouth slightly open. Before the three could think of anything else, Godzilla sprang out of the deep waters below with a roar "Godzilla!" Nick cried out, feeling himself relax. Godzilla charged at Cyborg-Zilla and the two landed on some warehouses. The two exchanged roars and it was to both Mendel and Cordula's surprise when they saw Godzilla backing down as Cyborg-Zilla roared.

"Godzilla! Attack!" Nick shouted and it was too big of a surprise to see Godzilla suddenly disobeying Nick's order "What's wrong?" Mendel couldn't help but ask "I'm only his adopted father, remember? Looks like he just dumped me for his birth mother" Nick growled and Cordula understood. Even though the original Godzilla had become nothing more than machine with little flesh, an offspring could still detect its parent through scent markings.

Great...

Godzilla suddenly jerked his head around and letting out and pained roar "Godzilla what's wrong?" Cordula shouted but it was ignored as Godzilla continued to thrash his head around. Mendel noticed the Cyborg-Zilla had completely gone still and his face drained of color "Nick, Cordula! The aliens are trying to control Godzilla!" He cried out but it was too late when Godzilla stared down at them with a blank look on his face.

"Godzilla!" Nick cried and was answered by two roars "Run!" Cordula shouted as they jumped out of the safety of the Forklift and away from the two monsters. Mendel and Cordula dove towards a crate while Nick headed to the door below the Pier 3 sign.

Cordula and Mendel peeked out of their hiding place to see Godzilla moving towards them with his head down "Mendel do something. No doubt Zilla will come after Nick" Cordula said although she muttered the last part. The aliens wanted to be rid of H.E.A.T and that would be accomplished by killing its leader. Mendel had just finished logging into N.I.G.E.L's system before they almost had their hearts out of their body's when Godzilla's head suddenly came into view.

Cordula covered Mendel and her mouth to keep themselves from screaming as Godzilla turned his head to the warehouse Nick was hiding in. Cordula quickly activated N.I.G.E.L on and the yellow bot zipped pass Godzilla.

"Hey!, over here! Over here!"

Nick's own voice echoed back from N.I.G.E.L and Godzilla let out a small noise of surprise, knowing Nick's scent was definitely coming from the warehouse but the voice recorder was enough to fool Godzilla and his birth mother to follow N.I.G.E.L

Cordula and Mendel heaved sighs of reliefs "I think that took most of my youth..." Cordula muttered just as Nick got out of the warehouse when the coast was clear "I owe you one you two" Nick patted Mendel by the back before he headed towards a speed boat "We can't leave Elsie!" Mendel cried out when he knew what Nick was thinking.

"Well I for one, prefer to save Elsie with my body parts intact"

"And the only way to free her is to shut down the aliens and that means finding Site Omega" Nick added "Well we better hurry, I doubt N.I.G.E.L isn't already bot scrap from those two Zillas" Mendel lightly flinched and silently mourned for his bot that was once again destroyed.

Thy quickly got in and sped away while the two Zillas were still busy following after N.I.G.E.L. When the said bot was reduced to nothing but shattered pieces. Cyborg-Zilla heard the sound of a speed boat engine running and turned just in time to see the humans make their escape. Cyborg-Zilla quickly threw another canon blast at them in hopes to eliminate the threat.

"Incoming!" Cordula shouted and Nick went right in between two ships that were docked for repair and watched it turn into flames by the blast before turning his gaze to the direction they are heading. Godzilla and Cyborg-Zilla entered the waters and disappeared in the murky abyss.

"How do we follow them now?" Nick asked when he saw them disappear from behind "Who says we have to?" Mendel asked with a grin before turning his attention to the screen in front of him "I'm piggybacking on the COMM satellite network and scanning for..." Mendel squinted his eyes before brightening up "Bingo!"

Cordula peered over his shoulder "Tachyon emissions. Identical to the Leviathan Signals" He grinned up at Cordula "Originating in the South Pacific" Nick. Cordula frowned at the red dot on the screen that was blinking on an Island. "I am pretty sure that Island's uninhabited" Nick gave her a small smirk before he sped the speed boat up a bit.

Mendel held a radio on his hand "Monique? Randy? Do you read me?" There was nothing in the other end. Mendel frowned, looking slightly concerned and worried for the two "Forget it. If they're anywhere near the source of the transmission we won't have a chance of contacting them" Nick replied to ease Mendel's worry.

A thought popped into Mendel's mind as he glanced at Nick worriedly "Say we do shut down the the aliens' mind control facility..." He trailed off as Nick finishes his sentence "Will Godzilla respond to me or stay loyal to his cyborg daddy, I wish I knew" There was a long pause before Cordula added.

"We can only tackle that problem when we get to that. For now let's just focus on destroying the aliens, rescue Elsie and find Randy and Monique"

~oOo~

Cordula woke up to Nick' shouting incessantly for her to wake up. It didn't take long for her to find out why she woke up in an ungodly hour. The shape of the Island was beginning to show as the first rays of the sun began to shine down on them.

It took another few hours for them to see the shore and the two Zillas to emerge from the waters. They waited before the two were far enough for them to dock and follow them on land. "This must be the aliens' base of operations. The Tachyon Transmitter is probably hidden inland" Cordula immediately jumped out of the rocks they were hiding in "Come on, we might lose them" Nick followed after her while Mendel hesitated for a bit before running after them.

They silently followed behind Godzilla before Nick spotted their shadows being engulfed by something way bigger than them. He turned to take a look before tackling and bringing Cordula and Mendel down towards a dense group of bushes "Get down!" Nick hissed as something slithered pass them.

"What was that?" Mendel lightly whispered as they poked their heads out to see the end of a slithering tail of a serpent. They quickly ran after Godzilla, keeping themselves low behind the bushes and rocks.

Almost immediately they saw the past monsters Godzilla fought eyeing him down and they weren't happy in the slightest way to see Godzilla "This is going to get ugly" Nick cursed silently while Cordula tensed up as she waited for a full grown brawl fight to the end to break out when something flashed caught her eye and saw an satellite dish glowing and releasing a blinding light. Whatever it was, it seemed to have calmed the monsters.

"I'm guessing they have adult supervision" Mendel quipped, feeling his seat turn cold at how close he was to witnessing a fight that may result to the death of Godzilla and theirs if the monsters found them.

"That's one way of putting it" Cordula added "Somebody doesn't want the monsters fighting. Not with each other anyway" Nick stated as he turned to Mendel and Cordula "And I hate to ask on 'who' they will be attacking"

"But then what are they waiting for?" Mendel asked when the monsters stood completely still with no movement to suggest a fight or an attack "My guess, they're waiting for us to go down first before they attack" Nick and Mendel looked at Cordula who shrugged her shoulders "The Aliens must know now that H.E.A.T must be on to something. Best kill the problem before it spreads"

"Then we have to destroy them first before they got us" Mendel groaned at Nick's words and Cordula's agreement.

I was afraid they were going to say that.

~oOo~

The three managed to hide undetected from the workers just outside the entrance "How do you propose we get inside?" Mendel asked. Nick eyed the orange uniforms of the workers and an idea formed in his mind.

They managed to enter without being detected under the guise of workers under the mind control of the aliens. Mendel couldn't help but shift the suit he was wearing once in a while "This jumpsuit is really riding up" Mendel whispered harshly "Speak for yourself, this suit is on the smallest size...for men" Cordula whined as she rolled the sleeves for her hands to be seen.

"Deal with you two-" Before Nick managed to finish his sentence he gave a warning cough when a worker walked pass them. They immediately looked away, avoiding eye contact from the green eyed mind controlled worker.

"Destroying the Power Generator's the Key. No power, no tachyon beam"

Nick finished "The only problem is that the mind controlled monsters might wake up from their 'adult supervision'. Worse case scenario, getting out of here with Godzilla is gonna end in a bang and a boom" Cordula muttered and Mendel shivered "Why did you have to say that out loud?"

"It was itching too much in my chest" Nick grabbed both of their shoulders "Focus! Now, where's the power grid?" Mendel nodded and took out his mini computer and began leading the way "Judging by the electromagnetic field..." They came across two paths as Mendel stopped "I'd say-" Mendel pointed to the right and they followed after him.

The sudden alarm shocked the three of them "Did you trip or stood on an alarm?" Cordula asked "Of course not!" Mendel said "Talk about it later." Nick said when they heard the oncoming footsteps. They managed to evade the guards before entering another section of the Alien's Base.

"I'm thinking this is the place" Nick said "Sure looks like it" Cordula added before shivering and turning her gaze away from the yellow brain-like object in front of her that seem to be connected to different types of wires.

If this was like a computer I'm guessing that must be the motherboard.

They were caught off guard when Monique suddenly appeared in front of us just as they turned to a corner to find a way to turn the machine off.

"Monique!" Nick gaped in surprise. Monique grew tense as she watched the three of them warily "Do not make me hurt you" She said in a warning.

"We can't let you do this Monique" Nick said, advancing towards her when Randy suddenly pounced on Nick and held him tight "Sorry jefe but if we don't, you can kiss this planet goodbye"

Wait.

What?!

Cordula had a dumbfounded expression while Mendel grasped Randy by the shoulders "You're trying to shut down the transmitter?" Mendel asked in surprise.

"That's what we're doing!" Randy said before he was thrown off by Nick "We're all on the same side!" Mendel said just as Cordula added on "I think there's some misunderstanding here"

"Why should we believe you?" Monique asked skeptically as she helped Randy up "Yeah, maybe those aliens are messing with your minds" Randy said, pointing to his head.

"Us? What about you?" Nick asked "We are not wearing their uniforms" Monique pointed out "Disguises" Mendel answered and Cordula could feel an oncoming headache forming "Uh...maybe we should focus more on the-" Cordula gestured to the main problem of it all but the gang were far too busy arguing with one another.

Cordula sighed and decided to end this by herself and made a move towards the controls when she felt something cold pressed on her back. She froze and slowly turned to see a gun pointed at her face. "Guys?" She called out. The gang were already at the end of their argument when Major Hicks shouted "Freeze". Their gaze turned to Cordula who shook her head and sighed.

They have been caught.

~oOo~

They were led to a section of a room that was filled with alien tech top to bottom. The screen showing charts and maps with words and symbols that were unfamiliar for them to decipher.

"As long as the humans use isolated individual minds, they remain weak" The same robotic voice echoed as the two aliens they saw last on the Leviathan appeared.

Sopler and Hoffman really underwent some serious makeovers.

"Listen spaceman, our isolated minds allow for diversity. Individuality isn't a weakness, it's our strength" Nick snapped, facing the aliens head on "Can individual minds, however united in purpose, ever match the sheer power of a higher intelligence?" The aliens argued back. The gang didn't have any time to answer before they added "Your world will be ours and then your pitiful useless minds"

"You are nothing more than scavengers. Devouring the galaxy planet by planet" Monique snapped as she lightly pushed Nick away "Scavengers? Or liberators" The screen in front of them suddenly lit up to reveal the dish that controlled the monsters.

Mendel and Randy looked at one another in horror when they put two and two together "Initiating Attack Phase Alpha now" The aliens said as the dish sparked up to life and they saw each and every monster move out in different directions.

"Once your consciousness is assimilated into the hive mind, you will understand. The monsters will now prepare this planet for the arrival of our fleet"

Joe expected the winds would be a bit violent today when he went to get extra fish per his daughter's request for the big lizard when he was suddenly hit by a huge wave that nearly toppled over the ship and a few of his crewmen.

When the seas were calm enough for the ship to steady itself, Joe was hit with a feeling of foreboding as he ordered one of the crew to turn on the radio..

They listened in horror when all they heard were the sounds of monsters running rampant around and the screams of people.

Joe cursed and turned his ship around, desperate to get to land as did the rest of the crew to find out if their families and loved ones were safe.

"Witness the true meaning if power. Witness the end of humanity" The aliens said with satisfaction as they all watched the monsters, under the control of aliens, destroy the cities bit by bit. Cordula felt his eyes turn misty, she couldn't picture her life that was just about to begin, to end like this. "NO!" Nick shouted as he hoped Godzilla on the screen could hear him. For once, Nick wanted nothing more to punch one of the aliens as he watched the monsters that were forced to do the aliens bidding.

He refused to see Godzilla, a monster he had grown fond of, become a mindless lizard subjected to the whims of these lesser beings.
