Chapter 2

We continue our story in the bedroom/laboratory of Lisa Loud, where we see Lincoln on a desk, while being examined by his younger sister, via magnifying glass.

Lisa: "Hmm…"

Rita (Getting in the way): "Oh my gosh! Lincoln! Are you okay? How do you feel?"

Lynn Sr. (Gets in the way as well): "Are you hurt son?"

Lincoln: "Mom! Dad! For the last time, I'm fine. I'm just a bit…" (Looks at himself): "…shrunk at the moment."

Both parents took a deep breath…

Rita: "Sorry sweetie. We're just worried about you that's all."

Lincoln: "Yeah…Sigh. I know you guys are."

Lisa: "Ahem! Do you two mind?"

Rita and Lynn Sr. (Both back away from the desk): "Sorry."

Lisa (Continues on): "Hmm… All right." (Puts down the magnifying glass, picks up a clip board and turns to her parents): "Mother, Father…After further examination and tests. I can now tell you with compete confidence that there should be no other side effects that my invention could've cause to Lincoln. Besides from just miniaturizing him in size."

The parents are happy to hear this.

Lynn Sr.: "Whew! That's good to hear."

Lisa: "But for some odd reason Lincoln still contains some of his normal strength. Not all of it though, but some of it." (Takes out a crayon): "Observe…" (Puts the crayon on the desk): "Lincoln? Would you be so kind and pick up this crayon for me please?"

Lincoln (Walks up to it): "Sure thing Lisa."

With two hands, Lincoln takes the crayon and lifts it over his head.

Lynn Sr. and Rita: "Ooo…"

Lisa: "See?"

Lincoln: "Um…Lisa. It's okay I put this done now? My arms are getting tired."

Lisa: "Why of course you can."

Lincoln (Puts the crayon down): "Whew!"

Rita: "Aww…My poor baby."

Lincoln: "Funny thing is, I really don't know, how all this even happened."

Lynn Sr. "Now that you mention it Lincoln, neither can I."

Rita (Narrow her eyes at her second to youngest daughter): "Lisa? Care to explain?"

Lisa: "Sigh, fine. You see, it all started earlier this morning…"

As Lisa tells her story, we cut to a flashback, where the whole situation began. It was still dark out and Lisa and Lily were still asleep.

Lisa (Narrates as the flashback moves along): "I have just woken up and realized that the Sun has not yet risen. After estimating I had about an hour before the rest of the family awakens, I decided to take this opportunity to test out my lasted invention, The Growatron 4000!"

The flashback soon shows a machine standing on a pole with electrical wire around it and a small antenna sticking out the top.

Lisa: "A ray designed to increase the size of any object it hits. My original target was your everyday average size grape. But unfortunately, when I turn the machine on, it went haywire on me and stared to shoot its ray in every direction of the room. I did try to turn it off, but as some of you may know from before, Mom and Dad, that the batteries in the remote grew dead, not a while after I powered up my invention."

Rita (Interrupts): "Umm…Lisa? Why couldn't you just unplug your invention to make it stop?"

Lisa: "I would've Mother, if the Growatron was nuclear powered, which it wasn't."

Lynn Sr. (Chimes in): "So how did you power it up then?"

Lisa: "Do you really want to know Father?"

Lynn Sr.: "Um…not really."

Lisa: "Good. As I was saying…" (Continues her narration): "There's was only one way to stop the Growatron and that was to knock its main part off the pole that it used for balance, aim, and support. So, I grab one of Lily's stuffed animals and threw it at my creation as hard as I could. Luckily, I was successful as the stuff plush hit its exact target and the main part fell to the floor. However, the machine was still functioning, and the ray was hitting one pacific target, the bedroom wall. At first, I was all right with this because I knew I could easily fix an oversize wall. But I never would expect that the ray would engulf our entire home and cause it to increase in size."

We cut back to the present…

Lynn Sr.: "Huh? I guess that's when me and your mother woke up then."
Lisa: "I would say so Father."

We cut back to the flashback, where we now see Rita and Lynn in their bedroom, sleeping away, while their house is growing in size. Until…

Rita (Starts to wake up): "Ugh…wha…" (Sees what's going on): "Oh my gosh!" (Sits up and starts to shake her husband by the shoulders): "Lynn! Wake up!"

Lynn Sr.: "Ugh…five more minutes…yawn…please honey. I had a lon…zzz…."

Rita: "It's an emergency Lynn! Wake up!"

Lynn Sr.: "Ugh…what was..." (Sees what's happening): "Ahhh!" (Sits up): "What in the name of cow bell is going on here?!"

Rita: "I have no idea!"

As fast as they could, the two parents ran out of the room.

Rita: "Okay Lynn, you know what to do. You go upstairs to wake up and evacuate the kids. I'll go into the kitchen and grab our emergency supplies. Got it?"

Lynn Sr. (Gives his wife a thumb up): "You got it honey."

We cut to the present…

Lynn Sr.: "Hold a second…Lincoln? I specifically remembered waking you up last. So, you should have been right behind when we were evacuating the house. What happened?"

Lincoln: "Well Dad…"

We cut back to the flash back, where we see Lincoln is still sleeping peacefully in his bed, when…

Lynn Sr. (Burst through the door with Lily in his arms): "Lincoln! Wake up son!"

Lincoln: "Ah…what? Dad? Lily?"

Lynn Sr.: "No time to explain! Let's go!"

He runs out of the room…

Lincoln (Fully wakes up and sees what's happening): "Oh my gosh!" (Tries to get out of the bed, but gets tangled up in the sheets): "Rrr…Whoa!" (Now hanging up upside-down from his bed): "Dad wait! I'm stuck!"

But it was too late, Lynn Sr. was already outside with the rest of the family. And the door slammed shut, thanks to some falling stuff off of Lincoln's shelf.

Lincoln (Breaks out of his sheeted cocoon prison and falls onto the floor): "Oof!" (Gets up): "Yes! I'm free! Now to get out of …Huh!"

To Lincoln's horror, his bedroom door has now grown up to the size of an apartment building, impossible for him to just walk up to it, turn the knob, and leave the room. In a matter of fact, everything in Lincoln's room is now up to the size of a building…And it's still growing! With no other options left, Lincoln could do the only thing he can do… panic.

Lincoln: "Ahhhhhh!"

Suddenly, the growing process stopped. Pretty soon after, the glowing light went away.

Lincoln (Relieved): "Whew!"

We cut to the present…

Lincoln: "I was relieved at first..." (Starts to rub his arm, while looking away): "But…"

We cut back to the flashback…

Lincoln (Starts to feel funny): "Huh?" (Sees that he's been engulfed by the light and is decreasing in size, alongside with everything else): "Ahhhhhh…."

We cut to the present for the last time…

Lynn Sr.: "Oh…"

Rita: "Lisa Loud. As your mother, I demand you to change your brother back to normal size, right this instant."

Lisa: "As much I would love to make your wish come true Mother. It's just that…" (Looks away from her): "… I cannot."

Lynn Sr.: "Oh? And why is that?"

Without saying another word, Lisa points to a pile of ash and broken pieces of metal in the middle of the room.

Lynn Sr., Rita, and Lincoln (Sees the pile): "Ah…"

Lisa: "As you three can see, after the over usage of its abilities, the Growatron exploded into a pile of ash and metal. But not to worry though, I can rebuild it."

Rita: "Okay. So how long will that take."

Lisa: "Hmm…Let's see." (Starts to write on her clipped board): "First, I have to go look through the pile to see which parts of the machine I can reuse, which parts I need to dispose of, and which parts I have to either reorder or rebuild…Hmmm…I would say about one to two weeks."

Lynn Sr., Rita, and Lincoln: "One to two weeks!?"

Lisa: "Afraid so."

And to make matters worse…

The rest of the Loud Sisters (Barging into the room): "One to two weeks?!"

Lincoln (Very nervous): "This is not going to be good."
