Chapter 6

?: "Lincoln…sweetie…"

Lincoln: "Zzz…."

Lincoln slowly wakes up to find himself in the palm of his mother's hand, who is smiling fondly down at him.

Lincoln (Very confused): "Mom...what are you doing here?"

Rita: "Well…I came back home to feed the pets during my lunch break. But it seems your sisters did that before we left the house this morning." (Looks around the living room): "I wish they didn't do it so sloppy though."

Lincoln (Stands up): "But Mom, I fed the pets their food. I even played with them."

Rita (With a raised): "How could you have done that sweetie?"

Lincoln (Points down to the toys he used earlier): "I used those toys to help me…like using a set of tools." (With a smile): "It was actually kind of fun."

Rita (Thinks about it, while examining one of the toys): "Yeah…I could see that." (Puts the toy down): "But you should've waited for me to get home."

Lincoln (Rolls her eyes in annoyance): "Mom…"

Rita (Smiles fondly again): "Aww…how about I make some lunch for my grumpy little boy before heading back to work."

Lincoln: "That's okay Mom, I'm sure I can handle it."

With her son in hand, Rita heads over to the kitchen.

Rita: "I'm sure you can. But I would like to do it…" (Looks down at him): "Think about it as a reward for a job well done." (Stops as she steps on a pile of crumbs): "Ummm…"

Lincoln (Looks up at her): "I'll figure out a way to clean this up." (A bit nervous): "Heh…"

After hours of school and manual labor, the younger Loud Sisters and Mother are home for the remainder of the day.

Lana (Hops on the couch and takes the remote): "I call dibs on the TV till dinner!"

Lola: "Oh no you don't."

In less than a second the two twins are having a tug a war match with the remote to see who gets the TV. But unknowingly to them, their brother is watching from the side.

Lincoln (Looks at the readers): "I better go handle this."

As he was about to do so, a thought came to his mind: If he either take the remote from the twins or try to reason with them, he could end up being ignored and accidentally swatted away like a fly.

Lincoln: "I'm not doing that." (Starts to think): "Hmmm…" (Gets an idea): "Aha!"

After grabbing his phone, Lincoln props it up against the lamp on the table aside from the couch. He then opens the tv app. This catches the attention of the twins.

Lola and Lana: "Huh?"

Lincoln: "Hey guys…" (Points to the screen): "There's a new princess movie out. Want to watch with me?"

Lana (Let's go of the remote): "Augh…no thanks…"

Lola (Throws the remote to her twin and gets up with a smirk): "Do with what you like Lana…" (Grabs hold of her brother and the phone): "I'm going to watch a movie with my widdle Linky."

She makes her way upstairs…

Lana (Realized): "Hey…" (Gets up and runs after them): "I want to watch tv with tiny Lincoln!"

Lincoln (See where this is going): "Dang it."

However, like magic, Lincoln finds himself now in the grasp of Lucy, who is hanging out in the air vents.

Lincoln: "Lucy? Wait...how did you…hold on…what?!"

Lucy (With a toothy grin): "A vampire never reveals her secrets."

After escaping, we see Lincoln is now heading to Lily and Lisa's room, where a powerful wailing sound is coming from the other side of the door.

Lincoln (Squeezes under the bottom of the door to his baby sister crying up a storm): "Ahh, what's the matter, Lily?"

Lily, however, is crying too loud to hear anyone else. This leads her brother to try something else to get her attention.

Lily: "Wahhhhh…" (Hears someone whispers her name in her ear): "Wuh?"

Whispered voice: "Lily…"

Lily looks around to see no one is there. Until…

Lincoln (Appears in Lily's vision upside down): "Peekaboo!" (Disappears): "Whoop!"

Lily (With a big smile): "Hahaha!" (Gets up and starts to look around): "Lincoln?"

Lincoln (Whispers): "Lily…" (Appears from behind one of the crib legs): "Peekaboo!"

Lily (Goes over): "Found you…" (Sees that he's gone again): "Huh?"

Lisa (Comes into the room): "May I ask you, Lily, what is exactly you are doing?"

Lily (Turns to Lisa): "Peekaboo with Lincoln!"

Lisa: "What? Playing peekaboo with Lincoln?"

Lincoln (Sitting on Lisa's shoulder): "Peekaboo!"

Lisa (Surprised by this): "Ahh!"

Lily (On the floor laughing like crazy): "Hahahaha…"

Lincoln: "Sorry Lisa…heh. I got a bit carried away there."

Lisa (With a shrug): "Meh…no harm done."

Rita (Calling from downstairs): "Come on kids, it's Leftover Night at the restaurant!"
