Chapter 19: Failed Infiltration
It had been a day since Spawn took Raven under his wing and completed their first mission together as a duo. Right now, they were doing their first patrol together. Raven was sitting on the roof while Spawn was sitting on the ledge looking over the city to see if any crime was about to happen until Spawn's cellphone ring.
"Yeah." Spawn answered.
"Hey Al, I need you and Raven at my office. I want to discuss something with the two of you." Sean said.
"Alright, we'll be right there." Spawn said before hanging up. He then wrapped his cape around himself and Raven before they were both teleported to Global Tech.
Right as Sean and Anna were in the middle of making out in the former's office, causing Spawn to look away while Raven just blushed at the sight.
"Ahem." Spawn cleared his throat to make himself and Raven known.
He got their attention as Anna stopped for a moment before standing up and fixing her clothes. Sean looked up at his best friend and the newcomer with an annoyed look on his face for the interruption.
"Goddamn, Al! You could've just knocked!" Sean said.
"Well, you could've just said you were about to get it on with Anna before we showed up." Alvin mused.
"Well, sorry! But you forgot to mention that you would take a shortcut here!" Sean shot back playfully. "Anyway, you're going to want to check this out."
He took out a tablet from his desk and turned it to the news, showing a woman with blonde hair standing in front of the bank.
"In local news, it looks like Spawn has decided to bring some assistance to his war on crime. Just yesterday, Metropolis was introduced to his female partner, now known to us as Raven, when she and Spawn have stopped a robbery here at the Metropolis Bank. It would seem this daring duo has plans for the criminal underworld. The question is: what are their plans now? Will they join the Justice League, or is this merely the beginning of Spawn forming a League of his own? This is Cat Grant signing off." Cat said.
Sean turned the tablet off and looked at the two of them with an impressed grin now that his friend had some assistance.
"That's one hell of a surprise you threw. I'm impressed with your talent, Miss..." Sean said to Raven.
"Rachel." Raven introduced herself with her real name.
"Perfect name. I'd like to welcome you to Global Tech." Sean said before turning to Alvin. "So, how're you feeling about having a sidekick?"
Alvin said nothing as he thought about something. If the news on him having a sidekick spread, then that could only mean one thing.
"You know, if we're watching this, you bet your ass that the JL would be watching this as well." he guessed.
"I know. I got a feeling they might make a move on us." Sean said.
The Watchtower
Indeed, the Justice League were watching the news on Spawn and the newcomer known as Raven. Amongst the team was a man with blonde hair and a beard dressed in Atlantean attire. He was known as the King of Atlantis but the world knows him as Aquaman. He heard about Spawn's activities for quite a while. They had all their attention focused on Raven.
"I can't believe this." Superman said, not liking the fact that Spawn now had an accomplice in helping him kill people, even though there were no casualties yesterday.
"I've been trying to go over Raven's history, but there's nothing on her. Her identity and her records of citizenship are unknown." Batman said.
"This is low even for Spawn. Manipulating a girl with no background into his cause. We need to stop him and make Raven see what she's doing is wrong." Superman said.
"And how do we plan on doing that? Walk up to Sean, accuse him of helping Spawn turn a lost girl with powers of unknown origin into a killer and try to detain them like we had been doing for the past few days?" Green Lantern accused after being silent for what seemed like an eternity.
Everyone minus Hawkgirl looked at him in surprise. They noted that ever since Spawn showed up, John was just as determined to capture him, but after the League crashed the party at Global Tech, he had been acting strange during their meetings, either speaking only a few words or being completely silent whenever they talked about Spawn until now.
"John, what is this about?" Superman asked sternly.
"I'm just saying, all we've been doing was jumping to conclusions ever since Spawn showed up and since Sean had him protected. When we overlooked the facts that half of the staff in Arkham were corrupt and had a hand in helping the crazier inmates like the Joker escape countless times. When Spawn saw the good in the survivors who now work for Sean and had them fixed when we couldn't." John said as he narrowed his eyes at Superman. "I think you've been acting like this ever since we saw the news on Supergirl helping Spawn take down Livewire before she went quiet."
Superman narrowed his eyes at that. When he first saw the news on his cousin helping Spawn incapacitate Livewire, he was shocked that she had let a killer escape, and he had spent the last two days trying to contact her about this, but still got no word from her.
"If I may interject, Stewart does raise a few valid points. We may be looking at this in a different direction." Aquaman spoke up. "The people haven't spoken out against this Spawn's actions. Not yet at least. Not to mention he's being legally protected by a government funded corporation that not only promised to stop all crime, but also promised to keep environments safer and cleaner. Forests aren't the only environments suffering from pollution, after all."
"Are you two saying you're on Sean's side now? When he's still protecting a murderer?" Superman asked heatedly, but Hawkgirl walked next to GL and Aquaman in defense.
"We're on nobody's side for the matter." she said. "We don't know the whole story yet. Spawn has to have some sort of reason for suddenly wanting a partner."
"Maybe it's got something to do with those demon hordes and those other Spawns that were after him for the last few days." Flash guessed, showing that he says some smart things every now and then.
"I highly doubt that." Batman interjected. "He seems more focused on his war on the criminal underworld than doing something about those rogue Spawns. We already have Constantine, Doctor Fate and Zatanna to figure out how to stop these threats, but for now, Spawn is our top priority."
Before they could discuss further, the door opened up as two more heroes walked into the room. One of them was another male with blonde hair and goatee dressed in green and black archer attire with a hood that made him look like Robin Hood. With him was a woman with long blonde hair dressed in a black unitard, blue short jacket, and skintight fishnet stockings. Their names were Oliver Queen and Dinah Lance, aka Green Arrow and Black Canary, respectively. Superman crossed his arms as they both walked in.
"What took you two so long?" he asked.
"Hey, it took longer for recon. I mean, that place has more advanced security than Lex Corp and Wayne Enterprises combined." Green Arrow said.
"Though we were able to get some intel. The guards usually take the night off. That means no one will be in the labs for a while." Black Canary said.
"Good. Then we need to send in the Team to get enough information on both Sean and Spawn to see what they're up to." Batman said.
Flash's eyes widened when he heard just who Batman was planning on sending to infiltrate Global Tech.
"Whoa! Whoa! Don't you two think this is going a little bit too far?" Flash asked hurriedly, hoping to get Batman and Superman to reconsider their plan.
"Flash is correct. We are sending the kids into dangerous territory. They have no experience in facing Spawn or this Raven." J'onn added.
"I also agree. It's just sending them to their death." Black Canary said. "I suggested that we can infiltrated that place."
"That won't work because he will spot you a mile away." Superman told her.
Green Arrow knew that this is going to be little hard to convince them. He doesn't want to be held responsible with the death of their sidekicks. He saw the news how Spawn mopped the floor with the founders.
"Well, we're going to do this, then let do this." Green Arrow said.
Batman nodded his head and he headed towards Zeta tube.
Meanwhile at the Cave
Inside the cave was a group of teens gathered for something important. Aqualad, Robin, Red Arrow, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Artemis, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Batgirl were watching the news. Wonder Girl glared at the image of Spawn punching a thug in the face, feeling a deep sense of hatred towards the man who drove her mentor into quitting the League slowly rising.
"I still can't believe the League isn't letting us go out there to find this guy." Robin said.
"Just wait, Tim. We'll get our chance. I mean Spawn had made several major kills in a week alone." Batgirl said.
"I can't wait to get my hands on him. He's the one that made Wonder Woman quit the League in the first place." Wonder Girl said.
Red Arrow and Artemis looked at their teammates and then at the picture of Spawn, and both came to an agreement. They may not be on board with his methods, but they couldn't say that Spawn's victims didn't deserve it either. There had to be more to this guy than anyone thinks.
Kid Flash looked a little worried for some odd reason, and Miss Martian looked at the different videos from various websites and on YouTube.
"Wow, people have been getting a good angle of this guy." M'gann said.
"I don't care. That monster deserves to be behind bars with his little friend, but Sean keeps on making the people trust that murderer!" Cassie said angrily.
"I wouldn't be too sure about this." Aqualad said, making the Team turn their attention towards their leader. "Sean did promise safer environments when he unveiled Gaia a few days ago."
"Seriously? You're buying that stuff too?" Robin asked the team leader incredulously.
"I'm not saying I agree with Sean and Spawn's methods, but just think. What if Sean is being honest?" Kaldur said. "What if he truly is working for a brighter future for the world, unlike Lex Luthor or any other questionable corporation?"
"I got to go with the boss on this one. Why do you guys keep acting like Sean's becoming no better than Luthor just for protecting a 'killer'?" Connor spoke up, quoting "killer" with his fingers. "All I've been hearing is people calling them both heroes for going the extra mile to keep them safe."
"In case you haven't forgotten, Sean sent that killer to slaughter an entire facility full of mentally ill patients along with guards and maybe even doctors!" Wonder Girl said.
"Then why did he spare Two-Face, Clayface, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn the night he stormed Arkham?" Roy spoke up. "They were obviously good people once, so maybe Spawn saw that, and Sean made it clear they're never going back to crime! What's wrong with them working for him?"
"Alright, so they found a cure for those guys, but still, was it necessary for him to send Spawn to massacre everyone else in Arkham?" Batgirl asked.
"Are you just going to ignore the evidence that explained why those inmates kept escaping?" Artemis asked heatedly. "The news made it clear, and there's not a thing we can do to prove it's all faked."
"Still, that doesn't explain why Spawn would want a sidekick." Kid Flash spoke up.
"Batman did say there was no history on this Raven girl. For all we know, she could be lost and confused, and Spawn is probably taking advantage of her by teaching her to be a killer like him!" Robin said.
"And how do you know that, genius?" Speedy asked. "You think he manipulated the bad guys I mentioned into giving up crime, too? Like how the Joker manipulated Harley Quinn into being his punching bag for God knows how long until Spawn snapped her out of it?"
"Alright, enough!" Kaldur snapped, getting everyone to be silent. "Now is not the time to be picking sides. We need to figure out our next course of action."
Before they could argue any further, the Zeta-Tube started to activate and the light dimmed down as Batman walked through it. A single look got the Team to be silent. He knew that this was going to get dirty, but it needed to be done. Sean and Spawn had to answer for their crimes.
"Okay. Listen up. Your mission is to infiltrate Global Tech and gather as much intel on Spawn and Sean, and try to convince Raven to join us. Stealth is the key." Batman informed.
The Team nodded their heads, but a few members stood silent, mostly Aqualad, Speedy, Superboy, and Artemis. They knew that Sean had done a lot of good for the world for the past few years, and still couldn't understand what the League's deal was with him aside from protecting Spawn for his killings.
Still, they questioned no further as they made their way towards the Bio-Ship, which morphed from its dormant egg-like state to its main aircraft form as the team entered and took off.
Meanwhile at Global Tech
"You're telling me that the league is going to launch an attack on this place, is that about, right?" Spawn said.
"Yeah," Sean answered.
"And the League going to send in some of their rookie heroes to get some dirt on us, right?" Spawn asked.
"That's right." Sean said.
"So, what's the plan?" Spawn said.
"I am going to need you and miss Rachel here, to work late at night. And stop them before they get into one of our computers." Sean said.
"Right, did you put up a failsafe on that little note we discuss about?" Spawn said.
"Don't worry about it. I took out everything that relate to you." Sean said.
Alvin just sighs because he remembered that Ivy, and Ra's al Ghul knowing his identity. He would hate for the League to get their hands on that information. Raven was looking at the both of them because she was confused what they were taking about.
"So, what makes you think that the league would come here?" Spawn asked.
He pressed a button on his tablet to show them surveillances of two blonde people that they never see before. Spawn was looked at the women with long blonde hair which the camera caught her beauty.
"Well, the come caught these two lurking around the place. We did a face scan and they are Green Arrow and Black Canary. They're league members." Sean said.
"What would they want?" Raven said.
"Well, they have been asking about our night hours." Sean said.
Spawn was looking at his best friend with a raise eyebrow.
"I know what you're getting at, 'How in the hell did you tell them that?' I didn't tell them, but one of my lovestruck security told them. Because he was distracted by the women boobs." Sean explained.
"Great! We have to wait nightfall." Spawn said.
"Well, we should set a trap because they don't know that we know they're coming." Raven suggested.
Both Spawn and Sean were looking at each other and back at Raven which they both were out think on setting a trap. Anna just grinned and shook her head.
"I like that idea." Anna said.
"Well, if she like it, then I like." Sean said.
"Alright. We will go with Raven's plan." Spawn said.
Raven just smiles and they all started to make preparation for their night. Everyone was working all day until the sun set which every employee was heading home from a long day at work. Sean and Anna were looking at both Raven and Spawn with concern.
"Are you two sure that you can handle this?" Anna asked.
"You worry too much, Anna. We're going to just scare them for a little bit." Spawn said.
"Alright, pal. I leave my company in your capable hands." Sean said.
Spawn nodded his head as he watched both Sean and Anna left for the night. It leaves the building empty which both of them were hanging out in the break room. Spawn reverted back to his normal self and was playing on one of the game stations while Raven was meditating to clear her thought. Alvin used the of his cape to cloaked them as they waited for the intruders to show themselves.
Outside of the building, the bio ship landed on a building across from Global Tech. Miss Martian was using her power to read people's thoughts to see if anyone was there. Then Conner was using his infrared vision to see the heat signature throughout the building.
"There isn't anyone inside the building." Miss Martian said.
"She's right. I don't see anyone through my infrared vision. The place is empty." Superboy said.
Then robin opened up his portable computer which show the layout of the building.
"Okay. The mainframe that keeps records is in this sublevel." Robin informed.
"I doubt that Spawn would show his face after this." Artemis said.
They all started to headed towards the building. Superboy super leap which landed on the roof which he didn't know that Alvin used his cape sense the intruder. When Superboy landed on a piece of the cape, it disappeared as it signals Alvin who stopped playing for a moment. He looked up and smirk.
"It looks like the guests has arrive." Alvin said.
He stood up as Raven open her eyes. Then Alvin spun to summon his armor and they both started to head out.
Meanwhile on the roof, Batgirl picked the lock to the door and she manage to get it open. She looked inside to see that there are cameras everywhere. Robin was hacking into the security cameras and shut them down. Everyone was making their way through the building. They were walking down the halls until they all came to three path ways.
"I think that this is where our team is split up from here." Robin stated.
"Team Alpha is Robin, Artemis, and myself will take the path. Team Beta form up with Miss Martian, Red Arrow and Wonder Girl, you'll take the second. Team Gamma form of Superboy, Batgirl, and Kid Flash; you'll take the third. We will be in contact with telepathic link." Aqualad informed.
They all nodded their heads. They each took their separate paths, but Raven was watching them take their path way and she disappeared. And she turned her head to Spawn.
"They've split up." Raven told him.
"Good, those fools don't know that the second path would lead them to a dead end. And the third will lead them to the cafeteria." Spawn said.
"What are you going to do with them." Raven asked.
"Trapped them of course. We picked them off one by one." Spawn told them.
Raven nodded her head to the idea and they went to the security room. He restarted the security cameras where he saw them all in separate rooms and knew that they were going to take out most troublemakers. He looked over at Miss Martian and Superboy.
"Okay. Take out the telepath and I will handle the muscle." Spawn said.
Raven nodded her head while Spawn was typing in code for the security lockdown all three locations. Then a timer appeared on the screen as they both started to leave the security room. Raven opens a portal with her powers while Spawn used his cape to teleport.
Meanwhile, Aqualad, Artemis, and Robin had made it to the Mainframe of Global Tech. Aqualad was looking around to see that the cameras were still down. (Or so he thought.) He opened the door and lead the other two heroes over to the giant computer. Robin started to pulled out a connector cord from his wrist com and he hooked it up to the computer. He started to hack the system, but suddenly an image appeared on his com and it was an image of monkey sticking its tongue out.
"It's a spike." Robin said.
Then he electrocuted which both Artemis and Aqualad pulled him away from the computer. Once he was away from the computer, the metal doors dropped down which seal them in the room.
"It was a trap! They knew that we were coming." Artemis said.
Aqualad narrowed his eyes and he knew that he had to alert the others.
=== Team Beta ====
When Miss Martain, Red Arrow, and Wonder Girl were walking down the next hall and they were looking around to see a bunch of pictures. Miss Martain noticed that some of the pictures are Sean, his fellow employee. Some of them were pictures of him in his high school years with Albert Jr.
"Miss Martain! Link us up now!" Aqualad ordered.
"Right." Miss Martian said.
She placed her hand on her head, but suddenly Raven appeared behind her and grabbed her. Miss Martain yelp which signal the others which red arrow turned around to see that. He pulled out his bow took aim, but the metal door close before he released the arrow. The arrow hit the door and it exploded. He walked to the metal door and placed his hand on the door to feel that it was cold as ice.
"Man, you've got of admit. That guy spare no expends for a metal proof door." Red Arrow complimented.
"Are you done admiring the door? We got to save Miss Martain." Wonder Girl said.
=== Gemma ===
Batgirl, Superboy, and Kid Flash started to looked around until they all made it to the cafeteria. Kid flash was looking and he spotted some food on the table. He started eating to keep up his metabolism. Both Batgirl and Superboy were walking up to him. Spawn was watching them from the shadows. Then Batgirl grabbed Kid Flash by the arm.
"Will you stop stuffing your face. We need to head back to the others." Batgirl told him.
"Sorry, I have high metabolism." Kid Flash said.
Superboy was about to say something until Spawn used his chain on him and pulled him out of the room. Batgirl turned around to see that Superboy was gone.
"Superboy? Where did you go?" Batgirls asked.
She was looking around to find Superboy. Then she saw the metal doors getting ready to close around them. She grabbed Kid Flash by the arm as they bolted towards the exit. They barely escape as the metal door caught Batgirl's cape which it ripped. She was looking at her cape and groan at the large rip on her cape.
"Aw, I just had it sewed." Batgirl said.
"We might want to call the others about that this." Kid Flash suggested.
"Right." Batgirl agreed.
She placed her hand on her head to call out to Miss Martian.
"Miss Martian, link up us. Miss Martian? M'gann, M'GANN!" Batgirl said though the link. "No, dice. It would seem that someone took out our telepath."
She reached for her comlink to contact the others about what happen.
"Batgirl to Aqualad. We had lost sight of Superboy." Batgirl informed.
"Right, I've lost contact to Miss Martain as well. It'd seem that they knew that we were coming. Robin is out cold when he tried to hack the computer." Aqualad said.
Elsewhere
Miss Martain woke up and she was looking around to see that she was in some kind of sphere. She looked around for a moment, but she heard a groan and she saw that Superboy was in the sphere right next to her. She was about to get his attention as she was getting ready to touch the sphere.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Spawn said.
He walked out of the shadow with an apple in his hand while Miss Martain looked at him. He tossed the apple at the sphere which it hit the sphere and armed laser shot at it. Miss Martain was shocked to see that happened.
"That sphere is blocked out your powers, but it's not touch proof." Spawn said.
Then Raven appeared as she came out of the shadow and whispered something into his ear. She was telling him that both Kid Flash and Batgirl escape. Spawn nodded his head and she disappeared.
"Well, it seems that your friends had escaped the trap that I set up. Here, I wouldn't like you two getting bore. I am opening a communication channel in both spheres. Just warn him when he wakes up." Spawn said.
Spawn started to take his leave as Raven disappeared.
Back with the others
Batgirl and Kid flash were heading towards Wonder Girl and Red Arrow were. She saw the metal door, but she heard banging from the other side. Then she saw a big dent in the door. Then suddenly there was a hole in the metal door.
"Wonder Girl." Batgirl called out.
"Batgirl, what happened to Superboy?" Wonder girl asked.
"He disappeared. Where is Miss Martain?" Batgirl asked.
"Well, Raven took her. Where...we don't know." Red Arrow said.
Batgirl narrow her eyes and she pulled out one of her gears to help get the door open. She pulled out a laser and used it on the door which Wonder Girl pushed the door open while the laser to loosen it. Once Wonder Girl and Red Arrow were freed, they all heading towards the mainframe room where Aqualad, Robin, and Artemis are.
"So, they'd known that we were coming from the start." Red Arrow assumed.
"Yeah, this was a trap all along." Batgirl said.
They headed towards Aqualad and the others. Once they made it, the metal doors started to open up which they looked confused for a moment. Then they heard a clapping sound as they turned around to see Spawn.
"My, my, my, I guess that keep you guys' trap wasn't the best move." Spawn said.
Wonder Girl charged at him without thinking. Spawn wanted until she was close and he was smiling underneath his mask. Once Wonder Girl was close, Raven used her powers to open a portal which Wonder Girl flew in.
Miss Martian and Superboy's prison.
Miss Martian and Superboy were sitting in the sphere waiting for the others to show up. Superboy stood up for a moment until he saw a dark hole appeared out of nowhere. Then Wonder Girl flew out of it and she was looking around to see that she was surrounded by guns.
"Great." Wonder girl said.
Then the guns started shooting at her which she started to use her bracelets to block the guns attacks. She noticed that both Superboy and Miss Martian were trapped. She grabbed her own Laso and tossed it at one of the guns and pulled it off which she slammed it into the others.
"Just hold on, I'll get you both out of there." Wonder Girl said.
She pulled some wires out and the spheres started to deactivate. Miss Martian started to fly and she could feel her powers were back on. Superboy flick his wrist as he could feel his strength returning.
"Now, where are the others?" Superboy asked.
"With Aqualad and Spawn knows that we're here." Wonder Girl said.
The three of them started to head for the mainframe room.
Meanwhile
Aqualad was trying his best to get Robin back to his feet. Artemis had her bow ready just in case. Then suddenly, the door flung open as both Kid Flash and Red Arrow were knocked into the room while Batgirl was holding on her own with Spawn. He was dodging her punches and kicks while Artemis was lining up her shot but she couldn't shoot because Batgirl was in the way. Raven appeared out of nowhere and used her powers to break Artemis's bow.
"Aw man! That the third time this week." Artemis complained.
Raven charged at her as she fought her hand-to-hand combat. She was kicked Artemis in the gut. Artemis looks at Raven while rubbing her stomach. Then Raven jumped and did a spin kick which hit Artemis. Red Arrow and Kid flash back up, but they were rubbing their heads and they looked up to see Aqualad join in the fight. He used his water bearers to summon on up water to use as weapons.
Spawn looked at the Atlantean for a moment as he ducked to avoid water made mace. He grabbed Batgirl by her cape and tied her up with it before he kicked hit the ass. Batgirl was struggling to get free. Kid Flash zoomed through at top speed which Spawn uses his chains to tripped him in the process. Red Arrow started to fired off several arrows at Spawn, but Aqualad jumped out of the way. Spawn on the other hand, he pulled out his sword and cut them all down to pieces. Red Arrow looked at the sword in front of him and he was impressed with the craftsmanship.
"Wow. He's good." Red Arrow said.
Raven was still Artemis, but Artemis was blocking her attack.
"Hey, take it easy. We're the good guys. We're here to save you." Artemis said.
"I don't need any save from members of the Justice League. Raven said.
She punched Artemis in the face which knocking her out cold. Aqualad used his water bearers to turned the water into twin machetes while Spawn had his sword ready. They both started to clash as their weapons and they were trying to get the edge one another.
"There they are!" Wonder Girl called out.
Raven turned her head to see the three heroes that were supposed to be captured. Superboy let out a roar as he was heading towards Spawn. Spawn kicked Aqualad and turned around to be greeted by a right hook by Superboy, but he caught. Superboy could feel his knuckles cracking and he looked at Spawn with pure shock. Then he punched Superboy which sent him flying into a nearby wall.
Wonder Girl used her lasso again and grabbed Spawn and spun him around. He noticed that it wasn't the real lasso of true. He used his cape to stop Wonder Girl in her tracks. She was struggling for a moment until she realized that Spawn's cape was stopping her. Then Spawn broke free from Wonder Girl's Lasso. He landed on the catwalk until he saw a water that looked like a whip. Aqualad was back for round two. Robin made to get back to his feet and he used his bo-staff to make his way over to the catwalk as well.
It was two on one which Spawn used his chains as whips. He started whipping them which both Aqualad and Robin started to dodge the chains. Robin jumped over to him and tries to attack Spawn. Spawn dodge Robin's attack and broke Robin's staff before he kicked the kid in the gut. Aqualad took the opportunity to attack Spawn. Aqualad turned the water into hammers and was getting ready to strike, but Spawn both of the Atlantean's arms to stopped his attack. Aqualad was struggling because of Spawn's raw strength. Raven flew up and nodded her head which Spawn knew that it was time to end this fight.
"RAVEN! NOW!" Spawn yelled.
Suddenly, Raven's eyes grew brighter as she waved her hands and several portals open up around the heroes and chains appeared out of nowhere and wrapped around all of them. They were struggling to get freed which Spawn just did a slow clap.
"Wow, I'd never thought that the Justice League would stoop this low in sending kids to face me." Spawn said.
Wonder Girl glare at him as she was struggling to get free.
"I will make you pay for what you did to Wonder Woman." Wonder Girl said.
Spawn raised an eyebrow at that statement.
"What are you talking about? I haven't done anything to Wonder Woman." Spawn said.
"She quit the league because of you." Wonder Girl said.
"Wow, that even better." Spawn said as he grinned ear to ear.
Raven flew down towards Spawn as she looked at them and glare at them. Batgirl was looking at the both of them.
"How do you sleep at night?" Batgirl asked.
Spawn raises a brow at that question.
"What do you mean?" Spawn asked.
"Don't play dumb. You manipulate Raven to join you because she weak." Robin mentioned.
Spawn burst out laughing and he was holding his ribs. Raven was looking at them and narrow her eyes. It took Spawn to contain his composure and he wipe a tear from his eye.
"You guys really got your story all wrong. I am not manipulating anyone. Raven chose to work with me." Spawn said.
"Liar! You probably told her something to keep her loyal to you." Batgirl said.
"Well, I know that this might not get us anywhere so I am gonna let you guys try and convince her yourselves." Spawn said.
Raven was looking at the team.
"Come on, Raven. You're not a killer like Spawn. Don't let him force you to kill innocent people." Robin said.
"Innocent? Innocent?! Last I check, the Joker wasn't innocent when he killed a four year old girl in cold blood. Not to mention he turned around and killed her older brother as well. You call that man innocent? I say hell no. He deserve every bit of torment in hell." Raven said.
The team were all shocked to see that Raven was refusing to join them. As she walked away, Spawn stood in front of them and narrowed his eyes.
"I am going to let you all go with your lives because I feel merciful as of today. But be warned, I will end you if you all tried that stunt again. Or maybe I should reveal everyone true identities to the world." Spawn said.
Everyone's eyes widened when he mention about their secret identities. He looked at Raven.
"Do it." Spawn said.
Raven nodded her head as she raises her hands and a massive portal appeared around them and they were transported away from the Global Tech. Spawn let out a powerful sigh of relief.
"I am poof. You want to head home for a well earned rest?" Spawn said.
Raven nodded her head and he used his cape to teleport them out of Global Tech.
