"No, I am fit as a fiddle. Just fine." She said with a smile. They walked over and sat on her bed. "What happened?" asked Uo. Tohru smiled. "Just fell again. You'd think that I would have more balance." She laughed.
Hanajima could sense that something much darker happened to her but they both decided to let it go. What happened to her was her business. "What about you carrots?" Uo asked, looking at Kyo.
"Just fine, she just fell. I tried to get to her before she fell, but you know how clumsy she is." Tohru laughed and she looked at her friends. "Really, I am okay. I will have to stay home from school for a bit, while I heal."
Kyo looked at his girlfriend. Still couldn't believe that he could call her that. He was thankful that the pajama shirt that she was wearing was covering the wounds that were on her chest. She didn't want anyone to see those, especially her friends.
"Well, we have to head out. I have work tonight," said Uo. Tohru smiled and nodded. "Yes, it was nice to see you two." She said, They returned her friend's smile. Uo looked at Kyo. "Can we talk to you?"
He nodded. He followed them out of her room. They walked down the hall and stopped, looking at each other. "I understand that Tohru doesn't want to tell us what happened. But we all know that all of her wounds are not from her falling."
Kyo opened his mouth and then decided to not speak. "We know that something is going on. But we know that Tohru wants to keep it to herself." Uo opened her eyes and looked at Kyo. "We just ask that you take care of her and keep her safe."
Kyo nodded. "I will. I won't let anything ever happen to her again. I will protect her. No matter what." Uo smiled and nodded. "You're alright Kyon. And we are glad that you are there for our Tohru. Protect her, love her as much as we do."
Kyo smiled and nodded. "I will. I do love her. And I will protect her." Uo smiled and nodded. "Well, I have to head to work. Take care Kyon." She said, waving as she walked away.
Kyo walked back into the room. "Everything okay?" asked Tohru. Kyo walked over to her and nodded, taking a seat by her. "How much longer did Hatori say that you had to be here?" asked Kyo.
"He said maybe another day or two. They want to make sure that my wounds are good." Kyo nodded and he took her hand. "I'm really sorry about what happened to you. And I am really sorry that I wasn't there to keep you safe."
Tohru squeezed his hand. "I'm grateful that you weren't there that day." Kyo looked at her in shock. "Because if you were there, who knows what would have happened with Akito. Akito could have killed you or hurt you."
"I could never forgive myself if something happened to you because of me. That's why I told Akito that I would go with her. Because she attacked the others and I didn't want them to be seriously hurt."
Kyo sighed. "I will never forgive myself for not being there that day. But I am so glad that I could save you." Tohru smiled lovingly. "I just hope that Akito stays away from you after this." Tohru sighed.
"I can see that she is very scared of being alone. That she's scared of being forgotten. And I wanted to be her friend. Not just for her sake but yours as well. She told me what she is going to do to everyone when graduation happens."
"I don't want the others to go back to her and be miserable. Yuki has come out of his shell and he's trying so hard to be more open and happy in his life. And the thought of you being locked away in that room for the rest of your life, that's not fair! It's not fair Kyo!"
He picked his head up and looked at her. "I want you to be happy and to keep on living! I want you to have the life you have fought so hard for!" Tears filled her eyes. Kyo looked at her and his heart broke.
He wanted nothing more than to hug her and hold her to him. But he knows once he does, he will transform. He took her hand. Tohru looked at him. "I will try my best to be the happiest I can be while I am with you."
"I want to enjoy every moment that I spend with you." Kyo caressed her face and thumbed the tears from her eyes. Tohru leaned into his hand. "I am here, Tohru. And I will spend as much time as I can with you. Whether Akito takes you from me or not."
Tohru cried harder at the thought of Kyo being taken from her. "Please don't leave me Kyo. Don't leave me alone." She sobbed. Kyo didn't care at that moment, he hugged her tightly. Tears soaked his shirt as he held her.
There was a puff of orange smoke and there sat a cat. Tohru picked him up and she hugged him tightly, her tears falling on his head. Kyo just bumped his head against her head and purred, trying to comfort her.
Tohru was able to calm herself and she sat Kyo on the seat next to her bed. A few moments later Kyo popped back up, naked. Tohru looked away quickly, blushing. Kyo quickly changed and Torhu turned back around. "Are you hungry? I can go and grab you something to eat." said Kyo.
The door opened and there stood Hatori. He walked over. "How are you feeling Ms. Honda?" he asked. Tohru sat up and smiled. "I feel much better today. A little stinging here and there." Hatori nodded as he looked at her chart.
"I am going to send a nurse in to recheck your wounds and if everything looks good, then we can send you home. But you will be on bed rest for probably the next two weeks. Your body has been through trauma and it needs time to heal."
Tohru nodded. "Okay, bedrest when I get home, got it," she said with a smile. Hatori nodded and walked out. A few moments later a nurse came in. Kyo turned his back as the nurse unbuttoned the shirt to reveal the bandages on Tohru's chest.
He glanced over and he felt sick to his stomach. There were deep deep cuts on her chest and the bandages were soaked with old blood. Kyo quickly looked away and focused on the wall. He was trying so hard to fight both the bile rising in his throat and his anger towards Akito.
He wanted to make Akito hurt for what she did to Tohru. But he also knew that he had to be there for Tohru. She needed him and he needed to be there for her. "Okay, Ms. Honda. You are all changed. You have to clean your cuts twice a day while you are at home."
Tohru nodded and she looked at Kyo as she buttoned her shirt. "Are you okay?" she asked. Kyo said nothing. "Kyo?" He turned around quickly. "Worry about yourself once in a while! Stop worrying about me!" he yelled at her. She flinched and he instantly regretted it.
He walked back over to her and took her hand. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you. I am still trying to get a hold of my anger. I hate Akito for doing this to you. I hate Akito for almost taking you from me. And I'm trying to not be so angry about it that I go after her half-cocked."
Tohru took his hand. "It's okay. Thank you for telling me. Yes, please don't go after her. I don't want her to hurt you or worse lock you up early. I want to do what I can to save you all." Kyo took her hand and kissed it.
Now Hatori said that when you get home you need to get some rest. So that means no cooking or cleaning until he clears you." Tohru pouted. "I need to cook a little at least. I won't go out as much as I do now, but I need to do something so I don't go crazy."
Kyo laughed. "Okay, fine. But simple meals. Nothing too crazy or too strenuous." Tohru nodded. "Deal."
A few moments later a nurse walked in and she gave Tohru her discharge papers. They got ready to leave. They left her room and they looked up and saw Yuki and Shigure. "Yuki, Shigure, it's great to see you," she said, walking over to them happily.
Yuki had a sad look on his face. "It's good to see you, Ms. Honda," he said sadly. Shigure walked over and he took Tohru's hand. "It's so nice to see you again, our little flower!" he said happily. Tohru giggled.
Shigure kissed her hand. Kyo got angry and pushed Shigure away from her. "Okay, that's enough," he growled out. Shigure laughed and he backed off. "Wow, temper temper cat," he said jokingly.
Kyo scoffed and crossed his arms. "Well, let's get you home, Tohru," said Shigure. Tohru nodded and they all headed back to the car. Yuki stayed quiet the whole ride home. They made it back to Shigure's.
"Well, I can't do much, but I can cook something for dinner tonight." She said, She looked at the guys. They were all sweatdropped. She looked at Kyo. "But you said nothing too bad." Kyo laughed and he put his hand behind his head.
"You have been out of the hospital less than an hour, Tohru. Just go upstairs and rest a bit. We can eat out tonight." Tohru looked at everyone. They all nodded. "Okay," she said. Kyo walked over to her.
"What do you want for dinner? I can go grab it for you." Tohru smiled as she looked at Kyo. She turned and looked at Yuki. He was already going upstairs, not saying a word. "Is Yuki okay?" Tohru asked.
"He was very worried about you, Tohru." said Shigure. Tohru turned and looked at Shigure. "He has been out of sorts since you went missing a week ago. And I don't think he knows how to express that."
Tohru looked back up to the stairs. Kyo kissed the side of her head. She looked back at Kyo. "Hey, go and talk to him. Just because I don't like him doesn't mean I want him to be miserable." Tohru looked at him in surprise.
"That's the first time that I ever heard you say that you didn't hate him," said Tohru in shock. "Wow, Tohru is having a tremendous influence on you. I'm shocked!" said Shigure. Kyo glared at him.
He rolled his eyes and he looked back to Tohru. "Go, and talk to him. Because that day was scary for both of us." Tohru looked at him and nodded. She gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek. Shigure and Kyo headed back out to get food.
Tohru walked up the stairs and she walked to Yuki's door. She knocked on the door. "Yuki, it's Tohru. Can I talk to you?" she asked. No answer. She knocked again. "Yuki?" she said, looking up at the door.
"Come in."
Okay, before you guys start wondering, This is a Kyoru story! I love these two together so much. But I remember watching the anime and reading the books that even though I loved the thought of Tohru and Kyo being together, I was also kinda okay with Yuki and Tohru being together too.
