"Because she was a nuisance. And no matter what, I am your God. And your love should only be for me. Tohru Honda took enough from me. No more. She will take no more of my precious Zodiac from me." Kyo wrenched his face from her caress and he backed away from her. "You thought that killing her was the answer!? She was leaving me! We weren't going to be together! She was doing what you asked her to!" He shot up and Akito backed away from the shaking boy.
"WHY!?" He screamed, running toward Akito. Akito picked the blade up, trying to protect herself from Kyo. She slashed his arm as he went to strike her. Akito backed away from him. "Careful Kyo, you will trigger your disgusting form, again." Kyo screamed out in anger and he went to strike her. His fist was caught and he was pushed away. He hit the ground hard.
Kyo sat up and he looked over at Kureno standing in front of Akito. He looked at Kyo with disgust. "Whether you are a member of the Zodiac you have no right to put your hands on your God. Even being the disgusting cat, you respect your God." he spit out. Kyo stood up. "You have the balls to defend her!? She just killed Tohru!" Yelled Kyo.
Yuki and Shigure came into view. "What the hell is going on?" asked Shigure. Kyo turned to look at Yuki and Shigure. "She killed Tohru!" a dagger went through Yuki's heart. He looked over at Tohru's still form, the puddle of blood beneath her soaking the earth. He looked from the still girl and he looked at Akito.
Shigure walked toward Akito. "Akito, what have you done?" Shigure asked. Akito looked at Shigure. "I got rid of a problem. She was taking all of you away from me. She caused another bond to break!" She cried. Shigure stopped and looked at her. "You didn't have to kill her Akito. She was leaving us. She was going to return to her grandfather's. She was no longer a threat." said Shigure.
Akito looked at him. "I had to get rid of her. She loved the cat. That disgusting creature. The creature that killed his own mother and let Kyoko Honda die in the street. Why should he get love in the end? He doesn't deserve it." They all looked at Kyo. He was knelt by Tohru. He was clenching the fabric of his pants. Tears were streaming down his face.
Shigure turned back to Akito. "What bothers you more Akito. That Tohru has a bond with us that you don't? Or is it because she wants to be friends with you? A lowly, disgusting human wants to be the friend of the God, Akito?" He said, as he walked toward her. He stopped in front of her. "Or is it because she is beautiful and she's pure." Anger coursed through Akito. "Watch what you say next, Shigure." She spat out.
"And you are ugly and filthy." Akito screamed out in anger and she thrashed at Shigure. He caught her wrist instantly, causing her to drop the blade. Akito looked at the ground in shock and she picked her head up and looked at Shigure. "You are a cruel and deceitful God. You attack and hurt when you are hurt or you feel abandoned."
"You attack before you think. You think that everyone in your life wants to leave you alone. But you are the cause of it. Attacking Hatori because he fell in love with Kana. And you weren't first anymore. When you pushed Rin out of the window. When you attacked Kisa. You tortured Yuki mentally everyday in that room. You did all of those terrible things and you expect your zodiac to love you?"
Tears of anger and hurt ran down Akito's face. "You don't know anything!" She screamed as she fought against Shigure's grip. Kureno took a step to come to her aid and Shigure gave him a look, telling him to back off. Kureno took a step back. "You claim that you love your Zodiac but yet you torture them in unimaginable ways."
"And comes Tohru. An innocent girl that had no darkness in her. The one that you find an enemy. She shows the Zodiac kindness and love and light. And you cant stand it. You cant stand that you may be second in other's minds. When you were already number one in someone else's mind." Akito stopped thrashing and she looked at Shigure.
"You killed an innocent girl Akito, and you should be punished." Akito looked at Shigure. She wrenched herself free from him. She backed away and she looked at all of them looking at her. She backed away and she leaned into Kureno. Kureno looked at Shigure. "What are you going to do now, Kureno? Are you going to cover for her or are you going to hold her accountable?" asked Shigure.
Kureno looked from Kureno to Shigure. "I will take Akito home, where she belongs. You deal with Honda." he said coldly. Before anyone could react Shigure struck Kureno. He fell to the ground. Everyone looked at Shigure in shock. "You disgust me Kureno. You are so blindly loyal to a monster. A monster that I once loved." Kureno picked his head up and he looked at Shigure. He had a scary look is eyes. One of his eyes were covered by his hair. "Get out of my sight you monsters."
Shigure turned and he looked at Yuki and Kyo. They were both knelt by Tohru's body. Both crying silently. Shigure walked over to them. He knelt by Tohru's body and he pushed her hair from her face. "Tohru, I am so sorry my little flower. This isn't what was supposed to happen." he said lowly. Shigure looked over to Kyo, his hair completely covering his face.
"I retrieved these for you." he said, reaching into his hakama. He set his bracelet down next to his leg. "I put it back together as fast as I could. So it may be a bit loose." said Shigure. Kyo didn't move. He glanced at the bracelet. "Kyo, maybe you should go ahead and put it on, you don't want to transform again. We need to get her moved somewhere else." said Shigure.
Kyo didn't move a muscle. He just had a hold of Tohru's hand. Shigure put his hand on his shoulder. "Kyo, put the bracelet on." Kyo wrenched his shoulder from Shigure. "Screw off! I don't need you to tell me what to do! If I don't want those stupid beads, then I don't want them!" he screamed. "Don't tell me what to do! Especially you!" he screamed.
"This isn't Shigure's fault. Don't take your anger out on Shigure." said Yuki. Kyo turned to Yuki. "Don't tell me who I can and cant be mad at ya damn rat!" He screamed. He faced Shigure. "If you didn't put Akito first then Tohru would still be alive! If you would have helped up protect her, then she would still be alive! If you wouldn't have pushed Akito for her to live with us she would still be alive!" He screamed.
Shigure walked up to Kyo and he slapped him. Kyo backed away and looked at Shigure. "Tohru's death is tragic. But don't you dare put this on me. I didn't tell Akito that she needed to kill Tohru. I did nothing." he said calmly. "That's the whole point! You did NOTHING! You didn't help Tohru! You didn't protect her!" Kyo yelled, tears falling down his face.
"You did nothing." he said, dropping back to his knees and looked at Tohru's body. "Kyo." He turned and there stood Kazuma. "Shigure isn't to be blamed here." Kyo looked at Kazuma, tears streaming down his face. Kazuma walked over and bent down. He picked up the bracelet. He took Kyo's wrist gently and put is on. He let his wrist go.
"Kyo, you should take her home. We can't leave her here." he said lowly. Kyo nodded mutely. He picked her up silently. He walked past Shigure and he headed back to the house. Shigure and Yuki both watched him as he walked through the woods. Kazuma walked up behind them. "I don't think that he's going to recover from this." said Kazuma sadly.
Kyo continued to walk through the woods with Tohru's limp body in his arms. He looked down at her. More tears filled his eyes. He made it back to the house and he walked to the porch and he sat down, cradling her body to him. He hugged her to him as loud sobs shake his body. "I am so,so,so,so sorry, Tohru. This isn't what I wanted. Not at all. I wanted to be with you forever. I love you so much Tohru, Honda. Please, don't leave me alone." He begged, looking at her face. He cradled her head to his he put his lips to her ear.
"Please, come back to me. Please." he begged, crying. He put his forehead to hers and he continued to cry. Shigure, Yuki, and Kazuma came back to the house and they watched as Kyo cried and cradled Tohru. Yuki looked at the ground and he clenched his fist as he fought more tears. Kazuma put a comforting hand on his shoulder. Shigure looked up at the grey sky. Kyo gasped. He looked forward and he looked down at Tohru. "What?" he asked in shock.
