Disclaimer: I own nothing to do with Destiny or My Hero Academia, I am just putting my own spin on things and having some fun.

Sci-Fi FREAK: Oh don't you worry, Aizawa has his questions. He will have answers...

But when it comes to the light, there are sentient quirks out there so it has been assumed for now that the 'ghost' is just a quirk that can speak. Like dark shadow and Tokoyami.

Can't wait to get the whole gang together. I'm planning on doing a little more before we get to the entrance exams, maybe including a trip to - - -...

I forgot about the spoiler blocker. Oh well, enjoy!

Guardian's Academia

Chapter Three: Pain and Improvement

"TOMORROW" Aizawa interrupted and pointed his chopsticks at the ghost.

Solasi huffed at the man and disappeared while the two finished eating and cleaned up for bed.

As soon as Morimitsu had closed the door to his room Aizawa turned and stared at the wall above the kitchen entrance. His eyes narrowed as he spoke in a calm and clear voice. "I know you are there, and I know you can hear me. Reader... Don't think I can't see you, why did you only appear after that kid appeared? Has your being here got something to do with him?" the hero asked as he raised his eyebrow questioningly, then after a few seconds activated his quir...

The next day.

Mori awoke to see his ghost hovering over the bedside table with a blue glow encompassing her form. 'Morning' the guardian thought to his companion as he got up. "Mori! You finally woke up!" Solasi sounded anxious which worried the young man. "There was a massive burst of paraversal energy just before you went to sleep last night. It seems to be focused around the lounge here in the house. But I found no signs of darkness or light. Just... I don't even know how to explain it..." She hovered lower as her shell spun in frustration.

'Is Mr Aizawa okay, can you pick him up on your scanners' Mori asked hurriedly "Got his biosignature strong and clear in the kitchen, why?" the ghost looked at him questioningly

'just wanted to make sure he was okay, do you think he saw what happened last night?' just as Solasi was about to answer one very tired looking Aizawa opened the door "Up, breakfast is ready and we run in half an hour. Get ready" he immediately left to get himself prepared.

"I... I was picking him up in the kitchen until the exact moment the door opened" Solasi said, utterly shocked at how he could move without her knowing with short range scans.

After getting ready and eating the pair left the house, Aizawa immediately bolting off with Morimitsu close behind doing his best to keep pace with him. They ran until they got to a shopping district where Mori was instructed to buy himself a few new outfits while Aizawa took to the rooftops to do some scouting.

An hour later Morimitsu was outside again and looking for the decaffeinated hero. He felt comfortable in his new gear, he wore black cargo pants with a long sleeve maroon shirt, a black hoodie with red stripes down the length of the arms sat over top but the front was left open. A pair of black combat boots with grey patterning and matching finger-less gloves completed the look.

As Mori walked down the street looking around for Aizawa he bumped into a boy about his height who had green hair and brilliant and very familiar emerald eyes. He was pulled from his thoughts when the boy started apologising.

"I'm s-sorry, I was just writing down some notes for my training regimen and didn't notice you were in front of me I'm so sorry I'll be more caref..." Mori stopped the boy's tirade by placing a hand on his shoulder and smiling at him with a thumbs up. The boy's eyes lit up suddenly "You're that guy who ran past me and Al.. Mr Yagi at the beach!" The boy exclaimed. Mori nervously smiled and nodded, not sure how to deal with the sudden burst of energy. "So what are you doing out here?"

Mori just lifted one side of his hoodie and gestured to his new clothing. "Ahh shopping! I was too, looking for weights to up my training" the guardian gave him another thumbs up. The green boy looked at the guardian curiously "Is there a reason why you don't talk?" Mori raised his hands to reply but was interrupted by a familiar voice "That would be because he's mute, not that it's much of a problem. Just a bit inconvenient" Chikara said announcing her presence. "Hello, are how doing I today?" Chikara signed to Mori as she approached. Mori broke down into silent laughter, Chikara was wondering what was so funny. After he recovered the guardian replied with the same question, much slower and in correct order. "Hello, how are you doing today?" Chikara instantly picked up on the difference and huffed at the feline boy "Alright alright, I've only been learning for a day. No need to pick apart how I talk" Mori clicked his tongue and tapped her on the shoulder with the back of his right hand.

"Who's the new guy?" came a voice from behind Mori, both him and Chikara jumping and turning to see the dark skinned girl from the previous day looking at them. Morimitsu pointed at her accusingly while holding his chest, Chikara glared at the intruder. "What?" said the silver haired girl as she looked at them like she hadn't just tried to scare them to death.

"You didn't need to scare us" Chikara deadpanned at her.

"I didn't mean to?"

"Well you did"

"Sorry I guess"

"Anyway, nice to meet you, I'm Chikara and this is Morimitsu" the purple haired girl said as she motioned to the feline boy beside her. "Kanohi, nice to meet ya" all eyes turned to the green boy who had been silently watching everything unfold. "Ahh, I'm I-Izuku Midoriya!" the boy almost yelled in surprise as he realised everyone was waiting for him.

"Well then, nice to meet you all. So what's everyone got planned for today?" Chikara said with a smile that could rival a cheshire cat.

"I see you are all having fun" Aizawa said as he walked out of nowhere into the little huddle.

Mori looked up at him and grinned, sticking a thumb in the air.

"We have a busy day today Morimitsu, so I suggest getting you friend's phone numbers and then catch up when you aren't meant to be training" Aizawa said as he handed a brand new cellphone to Mori. The feline boy took it and looked at it in confusion. Aizawa rolled his eyes and pressed the power button on the side. The screen lit up and unlocked, the guardian looking at it confused for a few more seconds. Just before Aizawa or anyone else could do anything Mori suddenly opened the contacts tab and created a new one before handing it to Chikara to input her number. This continued until he had all three of the teen's numbers on his phone.

"Right, I'm teaching Morimitsu hand to hand combat today. So we will be off"

"Can I watch?" Chikara said quickly. "I've never gotten any hand to hand training before. I'm more suited to long range combat, but it can't hurt to learn right?" Aizawa stared at her until Kanohi spoke up "I've got nothing better to do, can I come too?" Aizawa's stare turned to her, then flicked to Midoriya questioningly. The boy nodded in excitement, notebook already in hand ready to take notes.

"Fine, but stay out of the way until I finish training him" Aizawa growled.

Back at Aizawa's personal gym both himself and Morimitsu were facing each other on opposite ends of a padded area, the other teens sitting off to the side waiting with excited or nervous looks on their faces, unsure of what would happen.

"The match will be decided by either ring out or knockdown. This is purely a test to see how much training you need. Understood?" Aizawa called across the mat.

Morimitsu nodded.

Aizawa didn't wait and rushed straight at the feline boy to get a strike in while he was off guard.

He opened with a quick right kick aimed at Mori's head, the boy barely raising his arm in time to soften the blow that sent him staggering to his right.

Morimitsu then retaliated with a fast swiped at Aizawa's legs with his right hand, Aizawa simply jumped and sent his right foot crashing down at the attacking limb.

The feline boy barely got his hand out the way and managed to spin around for a leg sweep just as Aizawa made contact with the ground. Aizawa's eyes widened in surprise, the Kid was fast and had good instincts.

Aizawa let his leg be swept from under him and used the momentum to roll away from the boy, then launched himself back at him as soon as his legs were under him.

The hero fired himself at the boy with his right elbow in front of him, Morimitsu tried to duck but took the blow straight to the bridge of his nose knocking him flat on his back with blood streaming from his nostrils.

Aizawa helped him up as the other teens jumped up to see if he was alright.

"Solasi, can you heal him?" Aizawa whispered as he took the boy out to the lounge.

"Wait here, I'll tend to him" the hero instructed the other teens as he left.

Solasi materialised beside the pair and floated around in front of them as Mori sat down on a couch. "Can do, but please be more gentle in future, just because he can come back from the dead doesn't mean taking damage is fun for him" the ghost deadpanned as she shone a ray of light to her guardian's broken nose. The tissue snapping back into the correct position as it was repaired. After a few seconds his bleeding nose stopped and Mori was left with just a mild headache and tears in his eyes from the hit. The boy pointed as his mentor, then flicked a thumb up. Aizawa nodded and walked back out to tell the other kids that the feline boy was okay.

All three teens rushed in to see him sitting on the couch with his head back and eyes closed. Solasi hovering next to him eye flashing occasionally. "What is that?" Kanohi asked pointing at the purple drone that spun to face her as soon as the question was asked. "I'm a ghost and my name is Solasi. Nice to officially meet you, Kanohi, Midoriya"

"Wow! A talking drone, or maybe a part of Mori's quirk? I wonder how it would recharge, is it solar or..." Midoriya broke down into muttering as the rest of them stared at him. "Well, as much as I would love to tell you all our story. It might be a bit... classified" Solasi stated as she looked to Aizawa.

"No I'd actually like to hear it from you as well" Aizawa said as he looked at the ghost. "But, It's a secret right?"

"Yep, all four of you kiddos have massive secrets that could cause unrest if they got out"

"Huh?" three voices said at once.

"What do you mean?" asked Midoriya

"What do you know" growled Kanohi

"I don't know what you mean" Chikara said as she looked away

"Irrational" Aizawa deadpanned at them all.

He pointed at Chikara "Afraid of what your quirk can actually do when you don't hold back, especially after the accident"

"What!" Chikara exclaimed only to be ignored as the hero moved on.

"Escaped from your family of organised criminals back home because you wanted to be a hero instead" Aizawa said matter-of-factly as he pointed to Kanohi.

"How did you..." the girl started before being ignored as Aizawa pointed to Midoriya.

"And you, chosen to be the next symbol of peace by All Might himself"

"Wait that's sec..." Aizawa didn't listen as he spun and pointed at Mori and Solasi.

"Transported here from a different universe" he said while pointing at the drone "Raised from the dead" he finished pointing at Morimitsu.

The room was silent. All of the teens were in shock as their biggest secrets were laid on the table in the matter of a few seconds.

After a minute of silence and thinking Kanohi spoke up. "How did you find all that out so fast. You've only known some of us a day at most"

Aizawa took a sip of the coffee that had somehow appeared in his hand before he answered while staring straight at the wall above the kitchen entrance. "I have my ways" he answered calmly.

"Now you kiddos have a few hours before I take Morimitsu to UA for some specialised training, feel free to do whatever. Just don't disturb me unless it's important" With that the newly caffeinated hero walked down the hallway to his office.

All four of the teens looked at each other. "So I guess that info you were asking about isn't so classified anymore" Solasi joked, trying to break the tension in the air.

The next few hours the four of them would spend telling their stories, or what they were comfortable with.

"Wait, so you are only two and a half days old?" Kanohi questioned after finding out about Mori's resurrection two days prior. Mori clicked his tongue and nodded. "Technically he was fifteen at his time of death" Solasi stated "So I guess he's the same age as the rest of you"

"And the reason those machines... Vex you called them. Were so intent on killing you is because you are a light-bearer?" Chikara asked. Once again Mori nodded. Then he clapped his hands together and typed out a message to the group chat on his phone. ~yep, but I'll be ready for them next time. That's why dad is training me. To be a guardian!~ the other three looked at the message, then to Morimitsu, then to the hallway Aizawa disappeared down. "Dad?" they all said in unison.

Mori nodded ~My name is Morimitsu Aizawa, Shota Aizawa is my adopted father~ they all stared at him in surprise. Mori just sat and stared back, cocking his head to the side questioningly.

"And why is that so hard to believe?" Aizawa said from behind the three facing his son. Who all immediately jumped as he had never walked out from the hallway that was in plain view of them.

"Where did you even come from?" Kanohi was starting to question how this guy kept defying logic at every turn.

"What the fu..." "Language" Aizawa cut Chikara off mid cuss.

"Holy cheese and crackers" Midoriya said as he nearly fainted.

"Morimitsu, time to go. Snipe is waiting for us" Aizawa said as he looked down at the three sprawled on the floor in front of him. "As for you three, off you go. You can hang out with my son another time. We have work to do"

All three of them pouted at the hero, but after looking at the time they realised that they should probably be getting home before it got too dark. So after saying their goodbyes and promising to meet up for a hangout/study session they all went their separate ways. Aizawa locked the house and him and Mori headed for UA once more.

Upon arriving at UA Nezu called Aizawa into his office for a quick meeting while Morimitsu was left with the pro hero Snipe. The two of them headed off to the testing range to begin some basic firearms training and testing of Morimitsu's void ammunition.

The range was set up in a open top room, walls on either side and at the end. There were three shooting stations, one for long range shooting which had targets at 500 feet or further, one for mid range which had a wall at 150 feet with a few windows in it and targets scattered around in front of and behind the wall. And the last station was for beginners, it also had a wall with windows but it was placed 80 feet from the shooting bench and had targets scattered in front and behind just like the other.

Snipe walked to the beginner station and beckoned for Mori to join him. "Come on 'ere kiddo, I'll show you the basics. I've been told you have your own weapon, may I inspect it before we start?" Snipe asked, Mori bobbed his head and Solasi transmatted the SI-2 into his right hand. He handed it to Snipe, "Hmm, a semi-automatic magazine fed sidearm. Very nice, It has good weight and balance too" Snipe drew the slide back and aimed down range before pulling the trigger, the gun clicked but nothing happened. "A fine weapon you have. Now let's see how this special ammo works for it" Mori nodded and formed a magazine worth of rounds, fourteen in total and started to load them into one of the empty magazines that Solasi had given him. Once loaded up he held his hand out for the gun, Snipe handed it over and stepped back as Mori walked up to the firing position. "Now once you put the magazine into a weapon it is primed, that means you never lay yer finger on the trigger unless you mean to kill. Understood?" Mori nodded slowly and moved his finger to lay alongside the trigger guard. "Good, you learn fast. Alright kiddo, lets see you hit those targets in front there"

Snipe pointed to the targets closest to the shooting bench. Morimitsu took a deep breath, then loaded the magazine into the handle, drew the slide and sighted up in one smooth motion. As if he had been doing it for years it came to him naturally. The young guardian released three rapid shots at the first target, hitting two and missing one. Then four more at a target a little further back at more spaced out intervals, giving himself time to aim after each shot. All four hit the target, one of which was close to centre. And then he fired of seven more shots, one to each target. Hitting all of them within the middle three rings.

After finishing the magazine Mori removed it from the SI-2, cleared the chamber and laid the gun flat on the table. Snipe walked up beside him "Hmm, I dunno what Eraserhead was worried about. You seem to have this thing fully under control, just need ta work on yer aim" Snipe was impressed with how careful the kid had been after the first warning, and the way he quickly adjusted his firing rate to compensate for the poor accuracy had left the hero with the impression that the kid had done this before. "Alright, how does this sound. You make yourself some more ammo and keep workin on that aim, I'm gonna go get my gun and we shall have ourselves a lil competition"

Mori grinned at the man while he clapped his hands together. Mori turned around and drew the spring in the magazine all the way down, then he snapped his fingers on his left hand and generated some light that he shaped into bullets already in the mag. Once full he released the spring and put the mag into the gun to get started once more. Snipe had returned by then and was finishing loading his own gun when the two were interrupted by a flash of light and some heavy thuds on the other side of the walls.

'VEX!' Solasi yelled just before a powerful long range blast of molten energy slammed into Morimitsu's chest sending the guardian down onto the floor flat on his back. Two smaller shots flew by Snipe at he side stepped them and fired three shots of his own back toward the machine that had downed Mori. The vex hobgoblin tried to crouch down but it's rifle got stuck on a target close to the ground and it took all three shots to its core, leaving it a powerless heap of metal on the ground. "You okay kid?" Snipe called as he dodged more shots, one of which struck his shoulder.

Mori grabbed the SI-2 off the ground and clicked his fingers on his left hand in reply while also gathering light in the palm of his left hand, he compressed the light as much as he could until he felt its form change from trying to explode outward to dragging his fingers inward. Snipe took another shot at a goblin as Mori threw the charged light in his hand. It impacted the wall between him and the Vex and expanded into a gravitational anomaly that dragged everything inwards, but somehow didn't even scratch the wall.

A Minotaur stepped around the corner at the far wall and looked at Morimitsu, acknowledging him as the target. Snipe took a shot at the Minotaur but the air around it shimmered purple and the shot was melted in mid air before impact. "Damn that's one tough bugger, we gotta make a run for it kiddo. If we can get out I can call Nezu for reinforcements" Snipe called to the guardian who had just recovered and was now taking a few shots at the Minotaur, it's shield shimmered and flickered at the blasts. Then the large Vex warped closer, straight into the range of the Vortex of void energy, It was pulled toward the centre and the raging Void light tore the shield to pieces, along with the armour plating on the chest and arms leaving it vulnerable.

More goblins had walked around the corner and were starting to take shots at Morimitsu and Snipe, the guardian judged the Minotaur was down for now and swapped targets as he moved for the door. A goblin fired a blast at Mori and the feline boy took the hit to his right shoulder, but he spun back and returned fire, one shot melting a hole in the weapon's armour and another cracking the glass of the core. Snipe took three quick shots taking shoulder armour off one vex, splintering the chest armour of a second and tearing a hole through the core of the Minotaur making it collapse to the ground, a purple engram with a yellow centre popping out of it as it fell. "DOOR, NOW!" Snipe yelled as he traded shots with the remaining goblins, Mori obliged and made a run for the door wincing in pain as his burns rubbed against what remained of his shirt. 'Why does this keep happening' he thought as he dove out the door with Snipe hot on his heels.

The hero slammed the door shut and starting running down the hall trading his gun for his phone as he dragged Mori with him.

"Nezu, Snipe here. We are under attack, Machines. Vex. Two dead, four alive" Snipe said through ragged breaths, then nodded as he got an answer. The hero then hung up and drew his gun again. "Kiddo, we gotta hold out here, I need you on that side of the intersection so we can make a crossfire" Snipe ordered as the two of them came to a crossing hallway. Snipe let the feline go and dashed to the pillar on the other side of the hall, Mori went to the other side where he was told and started charging light in his left hand again. This time trying to make a solid barrier around it so he didn't have to focus on it so much, but the barrier melted and he was left with an unstable ball of void light with a ring around it that was hovering around his gun. Wherever he pointed the gun, this ball followed.

Mori decided to figure out how to use it later, he took a deep breath and steeled his nerves. 'I've survived these things before, I can do it again' he thought to himself. 'You've got this guardian, there's four goblins left, all of which are damaged badly' Solasi piped up.

'Understood, thanks Sol'

The door the pair had escaped from shook violently as something slammed into it, then again, and again. With each hit the door bent further outward. On the fourth hit the door exploded outward and slammed into the wall on the opposite side of the hallway with a loud 'Clang', four goblins walking out, all looking worse for wear. Both Snipe and Morimitsu were hidden from view and the goblins split into two pairs, one moved toward them and one away from them. Aizawa came running down the hall behind Morimitsu but slowed down to keep quiet when he saw them hiding. Snipe held up a hand with three fingers up, then he lowered them one by one as he counted down. Three, Two, One...

Snipe spun around the corner and emptied two shots into each of the close Vex, leaving them smoking piles on the ground.

Mori spun around the corner and let loose two shots at the Vex that were far away, only one hit on the rifle the goblin held. Both turned around and opened fire. One shot was coming straight for Morimitsu's head, he didn't have time to dodge. Aizawa swung around the corner and shoved Mori flat on his stomach as he launched into the air, gliding over top of the bolts. The small void orb went racing toward the Vex that had been struck by Mori and stopped just ahead of it, it latched onto both vex with a rope like wisp of light. The armour on both vex started to melt away, one of them taking enough damage that it's frame buckled and folded in on itself.

Aizawa sent both ends of his capture scarf ahead of him to grab onto the lights on the ceiling, then launched himself forward and let the scarf curl back up around his neck. As he came rocketing down toward the last goblin Aizawa extended his right leg and kicked the machine in it's already cracked core, destroying it. A small purple engram fell out of the armour plating as it hit the ground. Aizawa picked it up and made his way towards the firing range. "Get the kid to the infirmary, I'll make sure there are none left and then meet you there" he hero said as he entered the range.

Snipe holstered his weapon and helped Morimitsu off the ground. "Let's get you to the ol lady" he said as he lifted the boy onto his feet.

Aizawa walked into the range to see scorch marks all over the back wall and shooting table, there was another Minotaur class Vex lying in a pile on the ground with another engram next to it. Aizawa collected that as well, he knew that Mori could use them somehow.

There was also the unidentified Vex with a longer rifle lying in a heap downrange, but otherwise it was clear. Aizawa decided to report to Nezu after he made sure his son was okay.

After reaching the infirmary Recovery Girl asked Snipe to leave her with the boy and go report to Nezu, he would want to know what had happened. Once he was gone Recovery Girl turned to Mori "I know about your ghost and it's healing ability, It seems far more efficient than my own. So come on out" she said. Solasi appeared before Mori "You got very lucky there, that first shot almost killed you" she stated as she began regrowing the muscle and skin on Mori's chest, the warm light washing over the guardian's form as he lay on the bed. "Take good care of him little one, I'll check on him in a minute" the short woman said as she went back to her desk.

Solasi bobbed and kept pulsing warm light over Morimitsu's sleeping form. Her guardian had been running on pure adrenaline after the burns he had suffered, and had passed out just after the last Vex had been destroyed. "We need to get you some armour" Solasi thought out loud as she finished healing the burns. "Would these help with that?" Aizawa said from behind her. "Holy Shit stop coming out of nowhere! How can you even move around without me tracing your bio signature?"

She freaked out as Aizawa deadpanned at her while holding two engrams in his hand. "Yes those will help, hopefully"

"Hopefully?"

"Yea, its a random draw, you can never tell what's in an engram until you open it. Luckily for us, engrams of this quality were only used for weapons and armour. So we don't need to worry about finding some random kitchen items" Solasi replied with amusement as she remembered the first time she saw a guardian get pissed at Master Rahool when he unlocked an engram to find a golden age toaster inside.

"Ill get to work unlocking those" the ghost said as she transmatted them into her inventory of gear.

"Good, you do that. I'm heading up to give Nezu my report. I'll be back to get Mori when I'm done, then we go home" Aizawa said as he turned and walked out the door.

Morimitsu awoke to the smell of fried chicken and fresh coffee. He took a second to let the aches in his body fade and then sat up slowly, he yawned and opened his eyes. He was back at home on the couch. The phone Aizawa had gotten for him was sitting on the table beside a plate of chicken, it was vibrating every few seconds. "Can you hurry up and answer them already? It's starting to get annoying" Aizawa said with a piece of chicken hanging out of his mouth.

Mori nodded to him and swung his legs off the couch and onto the floor, he leaned over to grab his phone and the plate of food then sat back and tapped the power button on the phone. Instantly he was met with multiple messages from all three of his friends and went about making sure they knew he was okay. After finally finishing with calming his friends and eating dinner Morimitsu was about ready to sleep for a week. But of course, the universe had one last curve ball to throw at him before he got to rest.

Solasi appeared and addressed her guardian with a confused tone"Mori, incoming transmission. Vanguard channel. That can't be right, I'm in a separate dimension if not universe. How did they... never mind, I'm answering the call"

/"To all guardians in the field, this is Cayde-6 Hunter Vanguard. We have located a Vex experimentation site. Or the portal to get to it. Unsure of the class of Vex on the other end, initial reports state that four hydra class and one Timeless mind were guarding the outside alongside a Gate Lord. Scans are not getting through so be careful in there. Cayde out"/
