In Orb, while the Archangel is being attacked some ways off the shore

"The disturbing images on screen are from a battle taking place only 20 kilometers off our shore. Officials have positioned forces nearby and are in an emergency meeting in preparation for a potential attack." Stated the news anchor.

"The Zaft Carpentaria base and the Earth Forces main headquarters have been contacted to condemn this skirmish. Local officials have requested immediate removal of all troops from our sovereign borders."

Back at the Archangel, Sai grunted as he was struck with several beams which were displaced around him by his nano-laminate armor. He was stationed along with the Strike on the middle of the ship and was using his short cannons so he did not have to be in shelling mode to fire them.

The Strike was in Aile mode and would jump off now and then to attack the enemy. Asny had said the Torment needed to cool off after it traveled so far and the Demon King STILL needed repairs. So it was down to them to defend the ship.

So as the ship shook from taking hits, Sai growled and raised his assault guns, firing somewhat blindly as he tried to shoot down someone. Kira meanwhile jumped off as the Duel came in for a run on the ship.

Boosting out after it Kira met it's beam saber strike by cutting it's beam saber oddly, causing the Duel to react in a stunned manner. As it did so Kira boosted past it and kicked it off it's Ghuul. Using the Ghuul as a jump point it shoved the flight pack down before he jumped towards the Blitz, using his rifle to shoot the Blitz's Ghuul clean through the center.

As this happened everyone got a warning message over open comms from the approaching orb fleet. Kira, landing back on the Archangel, sighed and held up his shield to block a couple shots from the Aegis.

Sai relaxed somewhat as he moved out of the way of a shot from the Buster. He hoped they could get into Orb. This way he could see his parents… Wait…he was a mobile suit pilot. With the Alaya-Vijnana system…what would his folks think?

Regardless as the battle raged the ship began to list as the Buster got a shot on it's engines just after Kira took out it's Ghuul.

"Damn them… They really aren't gonna let up are they?" asked Sai as he tried to steady himself on the ship.

As the ship slowed to a near halt in the water, Sai was surprised to see Orb start to fire on them. "Hey wait! Some of us are from orb!" he exclaimed as he expected the ship to get hit. Instead as the Aegis was fended off all their artillery seemed to hit AROUND the Archangel instead of on it. He was amazed at the accuracy and he could only say that as once the Aegis was out of sight the Orb fleet moved into an escort position around them and they began to move further into Orb territory. Sitting back in his cockpit he sighed and pulled out a water pouch. "Damn…thought we were goners for a moment." Said Sai after downing the pouch.

The bridge tech students were all in the mess hall, everyone ruminating on the fact they were technically home. "Definitely never pictured myself in Orb like this. A soldier of the Alliance… What will my parents think?" He asked no one in particular to which Sai growled, now wearing a tank top with Tekkadan's logo on it borrowed from Yamagi.

"You never pictured yourself in Orb like this? Speak for yourself. You can actually go see your family. If I go they might turn me into some lab to run tests on this thing." Said Sai as he pointed to his whisker, the whole group taking in a sharp breath as they remembered Sai was in a much worse position than them. They all were still naturals.

What was he going to say to his folks if he saw them? Sorry I tried to compete with a coordinator and got myself mutilated and turned into a pilot? Oh and the engagement you put me in is off thanks to my girl sleeping with said coordinator? As if. His folks would never let him live it down.

"Hey…do you think they will let us…ya know…off the ship? Let us see our families?" asked Kuzzey as he looked down at his hands in his lap.

Sai looked to Kuzzey with a raised eyebrow. "I mean…the ship is docked. I know we can't leave mid mission but what's the harm in letting us see our families if there's nothing to do?" asked Kuzzey.

Neuman, who had been getting water, turned to the group. "Ya never know. They might. I mean Orb may be letting us dock and get repaired…But that doesn't mean they want us walking around like we own the place." Said Neuman as he sipped his water. "We won't know more until Command and Tekkadan come back from their meeting."

Lily was not one for meetings like this. But the fact she was the "leader" of Tekkadan here meant she was required to be in the command staff meeting with Orb, specifically with Lord Atha. As they went over the official statement and the fact that Orb was a neutral nation she kinda zoned out and thought about her recent actions with Kira.

"I have requested access to the Strikes battle data, as well as whatever they have on the Duel. I also would like them to hand over the pilot of said Strike in order to aid Morgenroete in some technical analysis. To that end I would like you and your machine to also visit Morgenroete. I understand you have spare parts but lack the facilities to repair your missing arm. I believe Morgenroete can assist in that regard. ALSO in that interest I was hoping we could analyze all three Tekkadan machines, though their pilots would not be required to participate as the system on your back mutes the point when we need naturals and/or coordinators working on a special project we have." Said Uzumi.

Lily raised an eyebrow. "Why me though? Is it because I'm the leader?" She asked and Uzumi nodded. "That and your machine is the most well known. I would like our chief engineer to analyze that system in your back and see if it can in fact aid us in any way. If it can then I may require all three Tekkadan pilots." Said Lord Atha.

Lily nodded. "Fairs fair. If it means I get Demon King back to full strength then I'm all for it." She said, still not mentioning the fact she was slowly but steadily losing function in her right arm.

Uzumi smiled and nodded.

"How do you plan to transport the machines? On MS trucks I assume?" she asked as she remembered from the episode them walking the Strike there and couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of a trail of gundams walking into the facility, specifically three of them a good head taller than the Strike.

He shook his head. "I'm afraid we do not have such things here. So we may need to borrow your pilots for transport. Is that a problem?" he asked.

Lily shook her head. "No…As long as we are properly compensated. I would like shoreleave for all three of us, atleast one night each." She said as she had a plan for her one night.

Lord Atha nodded. "I can allow that. If that's all then I think this meeting is adjourned." He said as everyone stood up.

Erica had just gotten off her phone call with her son and restarted recording her verbal report on all the data she had gathered so far on the four mobile suits now in her care. Her first and foremost report had been the Strike. Now she was working on one for the Demon King.

"According to reports from Colonel Leonard Kisaka, the mobile suit is quite unique in the sense that while yes it has thick armor, its primary armor is its paint job. Known as nano laminate armor, this paint reacts to some kind of wave or particle that its reactor gives off which activates the paint. This allows the mobile suit to take a beating and keep going unless hit with physical weapons of similar strength to its own." She said before sipping her coffee.

"It has also displayed this strength many a time and proved that while it may be causing physical damage or utilizing ballistic weaponry, the world this mobile suit comes from somehow…evolved its weaponry without utilizing beam technology as we have with the GAT series and warships. To that end the nano laminate armor is not impervious to beam technology, however what it does instead is causes beams to dissipate, scattering essentially around the impact point. How it does this I do not know just yet but due to combat data found with its battle against the Duel in space, direct beam contact that is prolonged and pinpoint CAN cause the armor to become damaged."

Sighing, she looked out the window at the Demon King as her technicians and Tekkadans four workers worked to strip away the broken shoulder joint. "Another more recent battle has shown that while beam weaponry is ineffective again unless done so with constant and pinpoint pressure, a new Zaft mobile weapon utilizing heated physical blades and similar strength managed to catch the Demon King under the arm and took the arm off at the shoulder. This was likely due to the blade catching more infrastructure and wiring and internal components instead of hitting the nano laminate armor." She said before turning back to her computer.

"Speaking of losing an arm, it is my belief that the pilot, while combat trained and putting on a brave face, I believe she has received neural damage pertaining to her right arm as I noticed her try to use it to pick up a tool only for her fingers to seize and her to quickly change hands. While I am not a medical doctor of any sort, after hearing about this Alaya-Vijnana system and its potential side effects along with the limiter built into it for an unknown purpose. I believe she removed the limiter at some point, most likely when or just after losing her arm. This along with fighting for approximately five minutes without said arm on the machine I believe may be similar to when one is deprived of oxygen. Without the neural feedback of the arm and instead her machine processing the damage I believe her arm somehow…i'm getting too into the medical science of things." She said with a chuckle.

"Suffice to say this system as well as the machine frames and just so much more could be explored if I had more time with them and a proper medical team. To think they are from another world…it makes me wonder just what that world went through to make a system like the Alaya-Vijnana needed." She said before sipping her coffee one more time. "Command: end recording, label report "Demon King" and send a copy to Lord Uzumi.

Getting up once more and looking out into the hangar she looked down to the floor where Sai and Asny were working out, doing push ups and running in place. Then she looked to the spread of machines. The three gundam frames looked deadly and like they belonged in a battlefield. The Strike…Well it looked more like a civilian compared to them. Then again from what she heard of all their fighting styles it might as well be.

Erica couldn't help but crack a slight smile, proud to say, "Yes but they are twice as fast."

That statement had Asny laughing along with Lily. The engineer, brunette coordinator and blonde princess all turned to glare at the two pilots.

"What are they laughing at?" Asagi finally asked.

"You three. Your machines are so slow. Knowing Lily, she's already watched the Demon King crush each of you a hundred different ways in her twisted imagination and Asny is probably laughing just because her machine is almost as fast as the Demon King and knows just as well as I do, You'd all get killed in an instant at this pace!" shouted Cagalli, seemingly annoyed at the girl's ignorance.

"Well at least we can get them to move." Said Mayura

"The enemy won't care about that, you're still their enemy and an easy target." Exclaimed Cagalli.

Erica sighed and looked at Lily and Asny. "You two can go whenever you like. But Kira you see this is why we wanna empower each of these machines, make them like your Strike. But to do that we need a new OS…one I hope you will help us make." Said Erica as she looked to Kira for an answer.

She sighed and started dancing hoping maybe someone would come up to her, then a small tap was felt on her shoulder as she turned to meet a curiously steel blue eyed, blonde woman, a soft smile on the woman's face. Lily smiled at the woman as she realized her hair was a beautiful metallic blue color, and then her gaze met with the woman as Lily got lost in her gorgeous green eyes.

Her companion reached up to gently stroke Lily's hair, tucking a bit of loose hair out of Lily's face and behind her ear. They cuddled for a bit until they got sleepy and went to bed for the night.

The next morning Tsuga slowly got up and stretched. It took her a moment to place the weight next to her but she remembered the night before and smiled, getting out of bed she made herself some coffee and sat down, looking at the bed where Lily lay.

"So…you must be the Demon King's pilot. To think we have such a strong connection. It's a shame I'll have to kill you next time we meet on the battlefield." Said Tusga quietly. Lily stirred and groaned and for a moment she thought she had woke her, but instead Lily just rolled over, whining when she couldn't cuddle Tsuga in her sleep but she found Tusga's pillow and cuddled it instead.

The blue haired coordinator smiled and once her coffee was finished she poured some into a to-go cup and got dressed. The room was paid for but she needed to go reconnect with the Zala team. There was no way she was mentioning this but her shoreleave she requested was up. Who would have thought she would meet her rival in a bar…and then fuck her. Chuckling, she straightened her jacket she had and left the room, not wanting to be there when Lily did wake up.

And that's Orb! And another chapter down. Holy smokes! How fast this is going. Seriously loving this. Can't wait to get to write about the big fight between Tsuga and Lily. That's gonna be a fun chapter to write.
