A Demon falls
Lily sighed as she sat in the Demon King's cockpit. She had woken up alone this morning. No note. No phone number, no nothing to go off of who that woman was. No way to have that FUCKING amazing night again. She hadn't had a night like that since…
Her eyes teared up as she thought about it. She hadn't had a connection like that since Liz. And now she may never have it again.
Flexing the Demon King's new right hand she stepped it out of its MS cage and moved the arm around. She was also saddened by today given she had confirmation of her worst fear. The release of the Demon King's restraints...had paralyzed her arm…She knew this because when she connected to the repaired Demon King, she felt her arm go from a numb almost non-existant feeling to full feeling and a tingling like it had woken up from being asleep.
You would think her worst fear would have been getting knocked up by Kira at this point. But instead she was having to deal with the same issues Mikazuki did. This was not good. If she ran into that Sandrock again, she hoped to god she could keep the Demon King under control. If she did not then there was a strong chance she would become further paralyzed by a restraint release.
"Lily…Lily…LILY!" shouted Nadi as Lily didn't realize she had fallen into her musing, she had grabbed a nearby Astray by the neck joint and was slowly crushing it. Releasing the unmanned mobile suit she stepped back and sighed.
"Something on your mind?" asked Nadi over the comms.
"Naw…just…had a great night last night only to wake up alone." She said and moved the Demon King back to its bay.
"Worried you got left a gift?" asked Nadi as she looked at him and he was nervously scratching the back of his head.
Lily giggled and began the power down sequence of the Demon King. "Not sure what kinda gift you mean. After all, it was with a woman." She said before she climbed out of the cockpit and Nadi rode the lift up to help with her Alaya-Vijnana system.
Nadi's face was a bit red and she chuckled. "Don't worry. I'm not filling this cockpit with a little one. No, my real reason for being so out of it..." She started before looking around. No one else was paying attention so she raised her right arm.
"I know what happened to Mikazuki after he released his restraints…While I can still use it to a degree…I.." She started but could only start to tear up before Nadi put a hand on her left shoulder.
"You're losing use of your arm aren't you?" he asked to which she nodded before burying her face in his chest and starting to cry.
"I don't wanna end up tied to my Gundam like he was! I don't wanna have to have sex, conceive my children, and who knows what else in my cockpit. I wanna be able to go out and drink. Have fun times…I wanna still be able to fight without the use of a machine!" She cried out and Nadi just rubbed her back.
"Don't worry kid…You're gonna be fine. I'll work on some more fine tuning and try to limit the need to release your restraints just to get more power." He said to which Lily looked up and nodded. He reached behind her and helped remove the system, Lily walked past him once she was detatched and headed down to check on Asny and Sai.

Tolle felt a bit more at home in the cockpit of the Skygrasper over the co-pilot seat of the Archangel. Maybe it was all his time in the simulator but as he listened to Kira, Mu and Murdoch go over him piloting it he was enjoying his seat in the cockpit.
"I've logged tons of hours into the simulator. I can totally fly this in support of you guys." Said Tolle as he looked over to them.
"I mean it's better to have two planes in the air than one, especially since we are still gonna be over the water for some time and none of our mobile suits can truly fly. Bursts of flight sure but the frames mostly hover." Said Murdoch as he tried to reason with the pilots.
"But Tolle…" Started Kira but Tolle beat him to a response.
"I'm just aiding the Strike and keeping tabs from above, nothing too dangerous." He said to try and nullify their worries.
"Were these orders from Badgirule?" asked Mu as he was worried the Lieutenant was overstepping her bounds…Again.
Tolle waved his worries off. "Nah I volunteered, after all if Sai is gonna pilot the Flauros I wanna do all I can to help too." Said Tolle proudly. All three pilots grimaced.
"You do know he was somewhat forced into that by receiving an Alaya-Vijnana implantation right?" asked Mu.
Tolle nodded. "Yeah…But at least this way I can support all of you." He said before giving them a thumbs up.
The pilots finally relented and walked away, letting Tolle familiarize himself with a real cockpit.

Dearka sat in the cockpit of the buster and was making sure everything was in order, they had just gotten word from their scouts that the legged ship was being moved out of Orb. So their fearless leader had been right. The question was…was his plan correct as well…
Athrun had handed them each a task in order to make this ambush go smoothly. It would be his job to try and disable the ships weapons and make it easier for them to sink it. Yzak and Nicol would be tasked with attempting to eliminate a Gundam frame. Yzak was happy with this until he found out their newest member, Tusga, was tasked specifically with the Demon King, but as usual their leader would be tasked with taking down the Strike.
Today was the day. They all could feel it. It was their last chance to sink the ship. So…Either both the ship and its MS compliment went down…Or they all did. That was what they were laying on the line…and they all planned to come back.
It was time to sink these demons.
A Demon falls
Sai sat in the Flauros howitzers cockpit set up for anti air and anti-MS combat with his flak chainguns, he was standing already in shelling mode on the Archangels middle as it headed out to sea. Lily had requested this specifically, stating she had a strong sense of impending battle and that they would likely be attacked almost as soon as they left Orbs waters.
Having checked the maps before launching, he knew if those four machines did show up then it would mean this was their last chance to bring them down. His last chance to prove that he was a better pilot than Kira. And the enemies last chance to sink them.
In the hangar Lily and Asny were both in their cockpits waiting for a signal to launch. Tolle was also waiting in Skygrasper two. Sai was worried about his friend but at the same time, his status as a pilot had made him slightly cynical. If Tolle chose to pilot then if he died it meant he also chose his death. There was nothing Sai could do to prevent that except shoot down the enemy first.
Finally the signal came over the radio that they had four…no five machines on radar. Five? What machine was the fifth one he wondered.

The battle that ensued turned into multiple dogfights quickly. As the Archangel deployed a smoke screen, Sai did his best to fill the air with flak to dissuade the machines from getting close. Lily stood at the entrance to one of the launch tunnels.
The Demon King couldn't fly per say but it could come damn close, given its reactor and the thruster that replaced the empty hashmal tail slot in the center of its back. At Least those were the projections.
As the machines came into view Lily saw her mark and rocketed off the Archangel, rushing at the newest machine. The Sandrock from back in the desert, flying past the other four prototypes. Yzak in the Duel even took a few pot shots at her but he was ignored completely.
Using her sword/mace Sai watched as she somewhat landed on the Ghuul that the Sandrock was using and overloaded it, causing it to sink as the two pressured each other with blades. The Sandrocks' heat shotels locked against her sword portion of her mace.
Finally Lily seemed to win as she shoved the Sandrock off towards a nearby island and stabbed the Ghuul before jumping off and boosting towards the island.
While this happened the Torment came out and instead of taking up a spot on the Archangel, it flew out as well heading specifically for the Blitz for some reason.
As Kira came out with the launcher pack equipped, he connected to an auxiliary cord taking firing data from the Skygraspers to fire a few shots and get the Duel and Buster to back off some.
As two of the five enemies began their fights on the island, nearby Kira jumped up and used his thrusters to engage the Aegis in battle. It left the Buster and Duel to start to close in on the ship.

Lily grit her teeth as she landed on the island, looking around she recognized this island from the few times she watched Gundam Seed. It was where Athrun and Kira would finally have it out to the death…or so they thought.
Deciding to focus on her own fight, Lily looked to the Sandrock before her. Growling some she boosted towards it bringing her sword mace up and ready to try to crush/slice the Gundam, but it sides stepped her and fired its head Vulcans at her, plinking her armor but not doing much damage. Still Lily could feel it in the neural feedback.
The Sandrock boosted back to avoid her left arm swiping at it, but raised its shields to block several 200MM rounds as Lily fired on the Sandrock.
"You're meant to be the Desert Viper…You should have stayed there." Growled Lily though mostly to herself as she turned and launched her tails at the Gundam.
Blocking two of them Lily was surprised when the Desert Viper dodged one and grabbed it, dropping its heat shotel. The Desert Viper catching the tail before heating up her other shotel and bringing it down on the cable, the cable resisted for a moment but ultimately it was cut and Lily howled. It truly felt like part of her had been cut off.
Withdrawing her tails Lily boosted towards the Sandrock and continued their fight.

Asny smiled as her and the Blitz traded shots on the island, she was trying to keep Kira from repeating his horrible actions from the show. Her plan meant Nicol lived sure but it would just mean he comes back in another suit right? Should she kill him instead? It was more human her way than what happened in the show.
As his beams scattered around her shield just as her 120mm rounds bounced off his trikeros. She decided to move this into CQB and boosted towards him. He tried to back up but he ended up tripping the Blitz over several trees, causing it to fall back. Utilizing his coordinator reflexes he used his thrusters to turn it into a back flip, actually kicking the Torment in the face while he did so. That kick was hardly anything to the IBO gundam but still Asny wasn't happy to get hit.
Dropping her rifle she reached back to grab her halberd and held it out in her short handle mode since she was one handling it, swinging it she made it clear to the Blitz's pilot, Nicol, she intended to move this into close range.
Deciding to use his best advantage he turned on his mirage colloid and tried to move out of her way, hoping the cloaking would be enough to let him slip behind her.
Instead she stowed her shield and extended the halberd's handle, bringing it up and down on him as he moved around her. Turning on his phase shift armor just in time the ax hit his shoulder and slid off. But he had fired so many beams and that hit was so solid he looked at his power meter. He was already running low on power.
"Shit…Gotta get out of here." Said Nicol in his cockpit as he boosted back to try and get away but he had to bring up his trikeros to block a pair of missiles. As he lowered it a fist came into contact with the Blitz's face, then another and then the fists began to pummel his cockpit door.
What was with these damn machines and bruiser style combat!? Nicol was not exactly trained in nor did the Blitz excel in CQB let alone this style of combat. That was when he heard the alarm for his power level and he gasped, looking to his main monitor he watched another blow come into his cockpit door before the blitz ran out of power. As its phase shift armor faded to gray the enemy Gundam, the Torment, grabbed the Blitz and tossed it to the side causing the machine to fall on its back.
With no power the suit couldn't exactly move very quickly or use its thrusters to full power. Nicol was powerless as the Torment reached behind itself and grabbed its shield. Thinking it intended to bash him to death Nicol began to prepare his self destruct sequence, at least keep the enemy from retrieving the Blitz but as his machine shook he was confused until he noticed the Torments shield had turned into a pair of scissors or something to that degree and they now gripped his waist. She intended to crush him!
Suddenly Nicol got a communications alert from the Torment even as it began to close the scissors. "Get out…now…I don't wanna kill you kid. Go home. Leave the war to the adults. If I ever find you on the battlefield again I WILL kill you. But I have to destroy your mobile suit." Said the woman he saw in the video feed. She was offering him mercy? Maybe there was a god in this world.
Not exactly happy to lose the Blitz but happy to keep his life, Nicol cut the communication and unbuckled himself. Opening the Blitz's cockpit he could hear the metal strain as it was slowly cut in half. Getting out he jumped off and ran into the nearby forest. Maybe he should just go home. What was the point of continuing piloting if he couldn't be in an advanced machine like the Blitz?
Regardless he watched as the Blitz was cut in half before exploding in the Torments face.
With that done the Torment seemed to relax, turning to watch the other fights going on on the island. Clouds had begun to form and rain was threatening to fall. It was fitting…at least to Asny…knowing what would happen that day. The rain was like god crying at his creations fighting at all. Resting her scissors on her shoulder she looked to the Strike and Aegis's duel which had stopped for a moment at the Blitz's destruction.

Lily grit her teeth as she boosted away from the Desert Viper. It had already scored several good hits. One of her 200MM gun ports was forced closed thanks to a heat shotel barb getting inside and causing a round to go off in the barrel.
Two more of her tails had been cut off and the last one was currently dancing with the Desert Vipers shield, which apparently could act as a remote weapon. As both weapons retracted lightning struck the ground between them and the clouds began to pour rain down.
Steam came off the heat shotels in the Desert Vipers hands and Lily, who had ditched her bulky weapon for a more favored approach of brawling, was currently panting. She tried to fend off her gundams desire to have its chains released. This battle was not exactly going her way. Something was different about the Desert Viper. Usually by now its armor would start to fail and it would run. Instead only a couple shoulder panels had been destroyed and there were nicks and dings on its torso from Lily's tails.
"If I let you out of your chains…you better help me win." Said Lily as she closed her eyes and focused. Feeling a surge of power, outside the Demon King's eyes went from blue to red and the rain on the vents began to cause steam.
Leaning forward the Desert Viper knew what this meant. Lily was about to go berserk. And she planned to take advantage of that state to win this battle. As Lily charged her in that state she dug both heat shotels into the ground and caught the Demon King.
Deciding to go brawler to brawler she kneed the Demon King several times in the torso before shoving it to the side. Grabbing one of her shotels she swung it at the Demon King only to have the demon catch it, its tail to come in and shatter the heat shotel by striking it with enough force to break it. However by catching it the heated weapon had caused damage to her hand and mangled it to a degree.
Stepping back she grabbed her other heat shotel and was caught by surprise by a left hook from Demon King, crushing part of her Desert Vipers head. From there the Demon King jumped and pounced on the Desert Viper, causing it to stumble back in order to dodge a pile driver claw strike.
Thunder clapped around them as they fought, trading blows and with the Desert Viper now more on the defensive side of things. It tried to use the shields as remote weapons but Lily just caught one and ripped it off its cord, tossing it into the sea nearby.
Finally Tsuga got a moment of reprieve when the Demon King tried a multi strike attack with the last of its tails. This worked in her favor as she knew how it was going to strike, it did it the same every time. Grabbing the cable once again she had to deal with the tail thrashing about near her but Tsuga once again was able to cut the cord with her heat shotel. From there the Demon King burst forward and stopped just before the Desert Viper, sweeping its legs and causing the machine to fall onto its back.
Expecting Lily to pounce on her again, Tsuga brought up her shield but instead Lily just stepped on her left knee and activated her pile bunker to mangle the leg at the knee. Stepping back it was like Lily was getting tired. Well, so was Tsuga but they couldn't end this till one of them had been ended.
Inside her cockpit Lily's left eye was bloodshot from the neural feedback and her vision was getting blurry as she also had blood running from both nostrils and said eye. She could feel the bloodloss coming to claim her consciousness, and the Demon King wanting to go on a rampage. She had to stop for a moment to catch her breath and try to wrangle the Gundam back under control.
Taking advantage of this moment Tsuga shot up from where she was laying as best she could with a mangled leg and grabbed the Demon King. Its armor had taken such a beating, Tsuga could see the torso hanging on by just a little bit. Taking advantage of this…She grabbed her broken her shotel…and stabbed it into the cockpit of the Demon King.
The armor bent and fell to the side and she could see the damaged weapon enter the cockpit. It was a shame…as she stepped back from the now sparking machine she watched as it exploded and fell apart. The demon was dead…and so too was her one shot at love. Why did Lily have to be an enemy…
Feeling sorrow for her she took a moment to pray for the soul of her departed enemy.

Murrue grit her teeth as the Buster landed another hit on them. At least four different battles were all going on at once…no three…she recounted as she saw an explosion off to her left by the island.
Flay, now having taken Sai's place as electronic warfare and enemy detection in the CIC, called out a response to the explosion, "The Blitz has been destroyed by the Torment!"
Murrue silently felt relieved. One down, four to go. "What's the Torment's status?" she called out. She had seen it take heavy damage before it dove off the ship.
"The Torment is responding with a green status. It took a beating..but it's still here." Replied Flay. Her tone was serious. Whatever reason she had for being on the bridge…it had clearly changed since Sai was now a pilot.
Murrue groaned as the ship shook again, but more violently.
"The buster just took out our port valiant...it took our levitator with it…we can't hold our current lift…" called out Ensign Neumann as he tried to keep the ship steady.
"Run emergency power to the backup levitator!" called out Natarle.
"No good! We can't stay in the air much longer!" called out the Ensign.
Murrue bit her lip. If they made a crash landing they would be sitting ducks…especially if Lily didn't finish soon.
That was when things hit the fan in a massive turn of events. As she was about to call for an emergency landing another explosion went off on the island. Murrue's heart sank in fear….the Demon King…It was destroyed. "E-emergency landing! Put us down on that island!" she called out and the Ensign began to maneuver them over the island
"The Buster is moving to attack the other valiant!" called out Flay.
"Aim Godfrieds and Valiant, shoot down the Buster!" called out Natarle.
Just at that moment they finally crashed down, everyone gripping their seats as the ship slid along the ground making a massive trench in its wake.
Murrue looked out the main window and saw the Buster lining up for another shot…it combined its guns and prepared to fire…
Out of the sky a green beam came down and hit the Buster's flight platform. Soon after Tolle came down, sword pack still attached. Utilizing the cables that held the anti-ship sword to his fighter he swung it out and just before he began to climb back up he caught the buster as it jumped off the platform, cutting its beam rifle's barrel in half.
Just as that exploded and Tolle flew off to help Kira as the duel with the Aegis seemed to be getting hairy another shot came from the sky, this one a crimson blast which hit the Busters left arm, taking the shoulder, the arm, even the side skirt holding his anti-armor shotgun in place…but not before he got one last shot off which connected with Mu's left wing.
With that hit the Buster was forced to the ground…
With it the Torment followed, ready to challenge the Buster if it got up.

Dearka groaned as he moved his controls. After the assault from the two fighters he had been grounded. "Hydraulics aren't responding, drive pull is decreasing…crap!" he shouted as he slammed his fists on his controls.
He looked up though when his alarm rang out that he was being targeted, he activated the command to show him what was targeting him and it zoomed in on the legged ships heavy guns.
"Damn it…" he grumbled as he opened his cockpit…to looking straight down the massive barrel of the Torments 120MM gun. Holding up both hands he hoped the pilot could see he was surrendering.
The cockpit opened and the pilot stepped out. She had a side arm and he heard the safety click before a zip tie handcuff was tossed down to him. "Handcuff yourself or I shoot." She said as she waved the gun in his direction, emphasizing on the fact she had two guns aimed at him.
Zip tying his hands together he growled and waited to be taken back to the legged ship as a POW. Maybe if he was lucky Zaft would trade for him like they did Yzak.

Tolle circled the battle between Kira and the Aegis. The two seemed to be going at it pretty hard, more so than usual.
He watched as they traded blows, neither one giving in or leaving any openings. He had learned a few things about these machines though while on the bridge. This much fighting…they were both likely nearly out of power.
With that in mind he watched as a thunder storm slowly rolled in. "I need to try and give Kira some room…maybe I can give him the sword pack for more battery power…" he thought as he made one more circle around and went into a dive…
As he came back up, level with their machines he opened a channel to Kira. "Kira get back, I'm gonna get you some space so you can change equipment!" said Tolle as he fired a few lasers at the Aegis.
"Tolle no stay back!" cried Kira but it was too late. The brunette coordinator had to watch as even for Tolle, as he let a missile loose the Aegis jumped out of the way…and threw its shield.
At that moment Tolle could only pray Miriallia found someone nice to be with…someone who treated her as well as he did.
After that thought the sharp end of the shield pierced his canopy and the large object proceeded to crush his cockpit…and him.

Kira was just…he was…there was no way to describe the way he felt as a bolt of lightning struck between him and Athrun once the Aegis landed.
Noah was dead…Tolle was dead…
And yet he and Athrun promised to kill each other in space and neither one had had the heart to finish things…till now.
Kira's mind went blank as he watched a seed burst in his mind's eye.
"Athrun! I'm going to kill you!" he yelled as he boosted at the Aegis and swung his beam saber.
It didn't connect, instead the Aegis jumped and front flipped over him, firing his head vulcans as he did so.
Kira spun the Strike around and he dropped his shield and grabbed his second beam saber, bringing it up as the Aegis landed in an upward slash/jab and it found its mark. Taking the Aegis' head with it.
A moment later Athrun replied in kind by bringing his right arm up, slicing off Kira's left arm, forcing the arm, saber and his own head to fall to the ground.
Another flash of lightning came between them and as Kira tried to boost back, Athrun boosted towards him slashing at his torso. It connected and Kira had to look away to keep glass and metal from hitting his helmet.
When he turned back he brought his right arm up and moved away from the Aegis. Just as he predicted, somehow the Aegis turned and tried to take another slash at him with its left arm.
This time Kira took his shield arm.
Neither of them were looking to their batteries though as Athrun cried out and jumped up, transforming the Aegis and grappling the Strike.
"This is for Nicol!" he cried out as Kira's eyes went wide, seeing his Scylla cannon charging up. Sadly at that moment the Aegis ran out of power and the charge faded.
Thinking quickly and seeing the Strike begin to move and try to get him off he opened his self-destruct code keypad. Putting in the number he set the Aegis to blow up, opening the cockpit and ditching with the flight pack built into his flight suit.
With tears in his eyes Athrun tried to get away from the exploding machine but he felt silent karma and retribution as the gundams exploded and the shockwave flung him across the island, blacking out when he hit the ground.

As the thunder storm settled on the island Murrue tried to calm her heart. The heavy beating not stopping even as the fighting ended. Flay though reported, through Miriallia's cries to Skygrasper two/Tolle, to the Strike/Kira…trying to disprove their destruction, that the Torment had officially captured the buster.
Mu had been shot down but not destroyed.
Skygrasper 2 was gone even if Miriallia wouldn't accept it…
And the Strike…for all it survived, for all Kira survived…the Strike was gone.
And Kira with it…
The same went for the Demon King. For all it had done for them…it was gone as well.
"Get the most necessary repairs done to get us in the air, leave Skygrasper one where it is but recover Lieutenant Commander La Flaga, recover the Torment along with the Buster and its pilot. Put Mister Elsman in the brig…" That was all she said before getting out of her chair and leaving the bridge, not even stating who had the bridge but it was obvious. Natarle as her XO would be taking over for at least a 6 hour shift or till Murrue came back.
Murrue…she…so much loss…so much death…
Tears flowed down her cheeks as she couldn't hold them back anymore.
Even if they were not far from the Alaskan air defenses still and they still had Sai and Asny…The ship suddenly felt like it was in far more danger without the Demon King onboard…and knowing it never would be again.

Ok folks…that's the last chapter I am writing for a while…maybe…hopefully. Lol. I need a break. I need to decide what to do with the story and where to go from here as in Celestial Seed I had three chapters of filler with the World Tournament. This story I don't plan to do but I might condense those three down into one chapter with Lily getting ready for her next trip in. After all she now has to somehow get her love back from Zaft. I dunno.
