Rejuvenation
The Archangel had just arrived at the main headquarters for the Earth Alliance, an unexpected turn of events after Heliopolis and their battle in orbit. For this admiralty board…it was also something they were not looking forward to dealing with.
"The Archangel. I never thought it'd make it." Stated one admiral as he looked over the reports they all had copies of from the ships various exploits. The one thing they all were both glad of and upset about was the destruction of the Demon King though they were glad to hear two other similar machines were onboard.
They could easily detain both pilots, after all one was supposedly an Earth Alliance pilot and the other was just some girl from "another world" according to reports. Once detained they could offload the machines and break them down, investigating this mystery power source they had as well as learning all their secrets.
"Do you think Halberton's force of will protected it?" jested one admiral but for Admiral Sutherland, the leader of this board, this was not a laughing matter. After all…he was the one who would have to inform Lord Azreal of the destruction and enemy capture of the Demon King and its remains. The blonde racist would not be pleased.
"No…If that were the case this would be a simple matter. No…this young coordinator, Kira Yamato, was the one who protected it." Said Sutherland, the word coordinator laced with venom and disgust. "Yes, him and this "Lily Solace", a natural with an unknown mobile suit were the reason she made it all the way here." He stated as he glared at the photos of the two pilots.
"Don't forget the prisoner they traded for in africa. And the one civilian turned pilot. They certainly would have helped protect the ship." Said another admiral which they all agreed on.
"Captain Sutherland doesn't say it like that. Fortunately with the destruction of the Strike and the Demon King AND the Strikes pilot being listed as M.I.A. this can be considered a rather…fortunate accident for us." Said the admiral to his left.
"Yes…the GAT series will be a strong asset for us and we will get plenty of use out of it in the future. Therefore the last thing we need people knowing is that a coordinator was the only one capable of piloting it…And a teenager at that." He said, again that word came out like he wanted to choke on it or choke the person he was referring too.
"You're right about that." Said another admiral. "It just seems like a blatant sign of our own inferiority." Said another.
"Yes and this…Demon King. It makes our own mobile suits look even more inferior. We got lucky. It only went after the Duel and with its destruction we won't have to worry about it ripping out the cockpit of our new machines.." Stated Sutherland.
Sutherland nodded. "Yes…and the fact it was able to not only disable and capture the Duel, but forced Zaft to pull out a prototype which the GAT series likely couldn't hold a candle too just yet just means it's destruction is even more of a boon to us than we originally estimated." Said Sutherland as he brought up data on the three new GAT series prototypes.
"It would have been better if we could have gathered its remains, or even captured the suit itself. That technology...according to the reports the reactor they have gives them unlimited power and operating time." Said one admiral who clearly won the captain obvious award.
"Yes and what does that have to do with its capture?" Asked Sutherland.
"If we were to re-create or even take that reactor and put it into even one of our new GAT line up it would have given it endless power…It likely would have rivaled the potential of a nuclear powered mobile suit. Imagine that we put that on our new Calamity model…the amount of firepower it would have without the need to worry about battery life…" Said the admiral, his words dripping with the desire to see such firepower turned on their enemies.
"That's if it is even compatible. The reports indicate no beam or plasma weaponry in use by any of the three machines." Said another admiral.
"Yes yes, but the fact is we do not possess it and as such we should not dwell on what could have been." Stated Sutherland as he stopped on the Calamity, pondering what they could have done with that technology and how the new biological CPU's would handle it.
"What have you told Lord Azreal? After all with all this talk of the Demon King we have already forgotten we have taken what we know of the GAT series and already put it in our new line, making the Buster obsolete and this time with it in our hands not Zafts."
Sutherland grinned. "I have told him we will take the necessary precautions to handle this. But the fact is he does not yet know we were unable to recover the remains of the Demon King…he will likely be upset but I will handle It." Stated Sutherland as he tapped his papers on the desk to get them in order.
"It all boils down to this all being an unfortunate accident…just like what will happen here….all this for the preservation of our blue and pure world." He stated before they quietly ended the meeting and went back to their daily duties.
Rejuvenation
Asny sighed as she scrubbed down part of the Torment for the 10th time. It was something to pass the time even though the machine was clean, painted, and ready for combat at any time.
"What's got ya down?" Asked Nadi as he looked over to Asny from the crate he was sitting on. "I mean we are finally at this ships destination. I was told it would be 6 months to a year till I was home. But it looks like Christmas came early." Said Nadi, unaware of the events coming.
She chuckled and walked over to him. "Naw it's not that at all. And trust me, we are nowhere near done. No I'm just down cause I'm missing my Legion." She said as she looked back to the Torment. "The Torment is nice…but my Legion is my main machine. It's how I used to support Lily in our Gunpla battle team. In fact we were called Team Legion." She said and Nadi raised an eyebrow.
"Gunpla battle team? Oh right. This thing's just a model to you isn't it. Forgot you told me about where you and Lily are from.. So what's the Legion then? Some mass amount of fans?" He asked and Asny giggled.
"No no. It's a custom Dandelion model. Basically it's the Iron Blooded Orphans or…we will say the Tekkadan equivalent of the Strike. I made multiple armor packs that would make me a multi-role unit depending on our opponents. Then I went even further and used Strike shoulders and a custom backplate to make them into my own custom striker packs and use the strike packs AND I could utilize the advanced silhouettes of the Impulse Gundam that Zaft will eventually develop. So I had a lot of options for one Gundam. Hence why I call it Legion, for it is many Gundams in one." Said Asny proudly.
Nadi raised an eyebrow. "Tekkadan equivalent? We never fielded a unit known as the Dandelion." He said and Asny sighed.
"Not literally. It's just I didn't know if you would understand Iron Blooded Orphans. That's the series you're from." Said Asny.
"Ohhhhh I see. Yeah I kinda figured as much." He said as he rubbed the back of his head, ashamed he didn't make the connection at first.
Asny sighed and looked past the Torment to the Flauros. "That one is actually based on one of my armor packs. I made a heavy artillery pack based on the Flauros utilizing custom medium sized cannons to achieve the same effect as the galaxy cannons but without needing to be in shelling mode." She said before pointing to the five custom shells on the rack nearby the Flauros. "Those five shells are from my specially, hand made, hand loaded shell rack that can be attached to my medium cannons and are designed specifically to act as EMP shells utilizing GN particles from a 00 machine. These 5 have been tuned ever finer and have drill tips added to allow them to be used on an upcoming threat. You'll understand when it comes time" She said as she looked at Nadi.
Nadi nodded and looked from the shells back to her. "What other machines did your team have?" He asked.
"Well technically the last year we all fought as a team we had the Legion, Lily was using what she called the Infinite Freedom which you'll understand that one here soon. And then our third, Daniel used a custom paint job Double X Gundam." Said Asny as she thought about the old team.
"Why the change to the Demon King for Lily?" Asked Nadi, curious why she switched.
"Iron Blooded Orphans ended and in the last episode Mikazuki went out in a blaze of glory and showcased the brute strength of the Lupus Rex by ripping a Graze cockpit out, crushing it, then throwing it aside. So Lily, being more of a brawler/CQB fighter in the first place, saw the Demon King in its original form and Lily was sold on switching to it for the more brute force. I was the first one to use the IBO models cause I saw the Dandelion, saw it reminded me of the Strike, and I was sold on it. Before the Legion I used what I called the mimic. It was a custom Strike Gundam designed to have striker packs that mimicked other gundams." Said Asny.
Nadi chuckled. "So until the Torment you have always been a multi-range, multipurpose suit user." He surmised and Asny shrugged but nodded.
"Yeah basically. The Torment is a quickly thrown together full unit of my version of the Aile pack. Designed to rush in and hit with Dual fusion SMG's, I usually was strafing, flanking, or just hit and run attacking. Never head on and never truly front line. The Flauros pack was basically my launcher pack and then for the sword striker pack I honestly mainly used a custom pack based on the Barbatos Lupus, turning the sword mace into an anti-ship sword by sharpening its huge edge." She described as she went over her striker packs.
"I see. Well it's good to know your strengths and weaknesses." He said as he stood up. And looked to the Demon King's empty bay. "Think she is coming back?" Asked Nadi.
Asny nodded. "She better. I'm not dealing with Sai alone and I sure as hell am not taking on her rival's suit alone. Plus I need to get out of here too. Who knows how much time has passed IRL." She said and Nadi raised an eyebrow. "In real life…" Explained Asny with a sigh. She forgot the Tekkadan boys weren't tech savvy so they didn't speak text speech.
Rejuvenation
Athrun stared out the window with quiet contemplation. He thought back to seeing the Blitz explode and thinking Nicol had died. He thought about his killing of Kira. Then Cagalli's words about Kira being kind, reckless but kind. He didn't deserve to die. Athrun agreed…but he was the enemy. What else was Athrun gonna do? Keep going easy on him till he lost all his other friends and teammates to him and those damned frame types?
As Athrun was about to think to himself about meeting Nicol post battle and finding out the Torment's pilot let him live he heard a knock at his hospital room door.
"It's Le Creuset, I'm coming in." Said a familiar voice and a moment later his commander walked in.
Thinking he was going to be reprimanded for destroying the Aegis he looked down in his lap. "I'm so sorry Sir." Said Athrun.
"Nonsense, I've read through your report. You performed with honor whereas Nicol, while I'm glad he is alive, he had a chance to bring down an enemy suit with him and he instead chose to leave a valuable asset potentially in enemy hands. Had they not destroyed the Blitz I'm sure he would be getting a dishonorable discharge instead of an honorable one." Said Creuset as he reached out to put a hand on Athruns shoulder.
"Regardless it just goes to show how powerful an enemy, your friend, and those frame types were and still are." He said which made Athrun gasp as he revealed he knew why the Strike took so long to bring down.
"I know it's been a difficult road. So much loss. To him and those others so your defeat of him is highly commended and respected by our whole nation. It was therefore decided you would receive the order of the Nebula." Said Le Creuset, going quiet to let that sink in for a moment.
"However, I have unfortunate news for me. It seems you are to be transferred to the special forces unit and report directly to the national defense committee. You're also set to get one of our latest designed units based on the GAT series technology and even newer technology we have developed. " Said the commander as he waited for Athruns reaction.
"But why? Commander I..." Athrun started but Le Creuset held up a hand.
"Your star is on the rise, Athrun. Furthermore you have been requested to return home at once in order to receive this new machine. I expect to see and hear great things from you, Athrun. Your father, the new supreme council chairman, has been advocating for a swift end to this war. While I would love to see an end to the bloodshed, I want you to do all in your power Athrun to achieve this goal." Said Rau as he put a hand on Athrun's shoulder.
Athrun just looked up at him, surprised to hear so much good news when his previous thoughts were all focused on such a dark moment in his history.
Rejuvenation
Amy clicked away at her keyboard, trying her best to ID the pilot of the Sandrock so she could delete them. Dylan was nearby working on Lily's new gundam, the Fenrir, while Lily was working on the cockpit and installing a new system that would allow her to leave the simulation at will from her Gundam. Amy had a prototype for a doorway and a device to use said doorway to make it so they could come and go without using the cockpits but it was a prototype and did not work yet to their knowledge.
Finally Amy scrubbed the Zero Systems files and pulled up an image of the pilot. "Hey Lily…wanna see who your killer was?" Asked Amy as she pulled up a full body picture and whistled.
As Lily walked over she went from just walking to rushing to her chair. "Where did you get this photo?" Asked Lily as she went over the information as best she could but she couldn't read the code that Amy had pulled up as more than gibberish.
Lily reached out and gently caressed the screen where the image was. Amy was confused and reached out to tap Lily's shoulder, causing her to jump. "Lily you ok? You look like you're seeing an angel or a ghost…can't tell which." She said.
"Thats her, that's the woman I had a fan-fucking-tastic night in Orb with. What were you about to do with that code?" Asked Lily, worried it was what she thought it was.
Amy shrugged. "Delete it. After all, the last thing we need is her showing back up and shooting you down again." Said Amy as she popped some gum in her mouth and began to chew it.
"No, don't…Find her. Figure out where she is. I think I can turn her to our side." Said Lily as she went to the door prototype. "I think this is the perfect test for the door. Find her and put me near her. I'll get her to join us." Said Lily as she turned and ran to her bag, grabbing some clothes and running off to get changed.

Lily took a deep breath as she stood behind the curtain on the stage. She had infiltrated Zaft's most highly protected colony…Well until armory one gets built, anyways she had found out from Amy that her rival in the Sandrock had also been her most fortunate rendezvous in Orb. As the music began, Lily stepped out onto the stage and tapped the mic. "Um…Hello everyone. This song is dedicated to the guest of honor and our wonderful night we had in Orb." Said Lily as the music reached the opening lines.

Lily approached Tsuga with a smile on her face, holding out her hand. "May I have this dance?" Lily asked as Tsuga immediately took her hand. They both smiled at each other as the two got closer together and started with a slow dance first. Lily placed one hand on Tsuga's shoulder while the other was still holding her hand, they danced around others on the dance floor as they chatted. Eventually Lily spun Tsuga around before they entwined again, getting closer together while they danced.
"I love your dress, never imagined to see you in formal attire" Lily said, taking a step back to look at Tsuga's red dress adorned with a faith pin attached to the top of the dress just below her right collarbone. Tsuga looked down and spun around giving it a little twirl so Lily could fully see it, it wasn't too long stopping just below her knees but it was a pretty red. "Thanks, I didn't really know what to wear… Being formal and all, I'm not used to this." Tsuga replied and looked at Lily, who was wearing her usual casual outfit.
After another song Tsuga led Lily off to the side as they sat down in some chairs, Tsuga looking at the floor. Lily noticed but waited for her to say something, placing a hand on Tsuga's thigh. Tsuga looked up and smiled before standing up as she reached her hand out for Lily, "Let's go somewhere more private." Lily nodded and took her hand, standing up as Tsuga gave Lily's hand a gentle squeeze. The two made their way through the party goers before leaving the party behind as they walked down the street. A light breeze greeted them as they rounded a corner and were heading in a direction Lily hadn't gone before.
"Where are we going?" Lily asked, glancing at Tsuga who only smiled.
"I figured my place was… Better than a hotel room." Tsuga replied, still leading Lily.
"O…Oh… Okay" Lily stammered, she had no idea Tsuga had a place around here let alone used it.
They both walked for another block before they stopped in front of an apartment complex. Tsuga pulled her keycard out of her dress pocket, pressing it against the scanner on the side of the door before it beeped and she opened the door. She let go of Lily's hand and gestured for her to go first, Lily walking in as Tsuga followed behind her and made sure the door closed properly. They walked over to the elevators and Tsuga pressed the up button, both of them waiting shortly before the elevator opened and they stepped inside. Tsuga hit one of the buttons and the doors closed, taking them up.
"I didn't… I didn't think you were coming back. I thought I had killed you." Said Tsuga as she looked at Lily with a frown.
"Oh?" Said Lily as she turned to look at Tsuga. Tsuga stepped closer to Lily and kissed her.
Lily seemed confused at first but couldn't help herself as she kissed back, moving so that Tsuga's back was to an elevator wall as she started making out with Tsuga. Lily watched before slowly walking over to sit beside her, placing a gentle hand on one of Tsuga's. "I thought I killed you… I thought you were gone for sure… But here you are, crashing a Zaft party and… And now you're in my apartment, and…" Tsuga said before she started crying. Lily frowned and reached out to pull Tsuga close, hugging her as she wiped away some tears. "Well, technically you did kill me. But… It's hard to explain." Lily said as she sighed. How would she explain it so that Tsuga would understand? Was that even possible?
Tsuga looked at Lily, fresh tears rolling down her cheeks as she sniffled. "What am I going to do if they find out that you're alive? That the pilot of the Demon King may be dead but it's pilot isn't, much less you crashing their party. How did you even get in?" Tsuga asked Lily and then got angry, standing up as she crossed her arms. "I don't understand…" She mumbled and started crying again. Lily reached out for her but stopped and let her arm drop, looking at the floor before she stood up and walked over to Tsuga. "I know I can't explain much right now, and I can't… I don't know if I can explain at all, but what I do know is that I feel a connection with you I haven't felt… Well… For a long time." Lily stammered and carefully opened her arms, motioning for Tsuga to come in for a hug.
Tsuga looked at Lily and her head started to spin a little, questions and thoughts swirled around her mind. Tsuga looked at her dress and then nodded, turning to walk down the hallway towards the bathroom. Lily watched before returning to the couch, sitting down. Her thoughts wandered and she tried to keep focused. Hearing a click of a door she looked to see that Tsuga had made it to the bathroom, sighing a bit. She didn't want to upset Tsuga, she was upset as well but she felt like she was doing the right thing. She at least had to admit she had feelings for Tsuga, and it seemed like Tsuga may as well. Where would things go now?

She didn't know how to feel, the one she thought she killed was actually alive, what would this mean for her and the Zaft? Nodding Lily laid beside her and gently stroked her fingertips along Tsuga's belly. Rolling over onto her side, Tsuga moved closer to Lily and kissed her. The two made out for a bit before Tsuga pulled away and rolled Lily onto her back, moving down between her legs. They looked at each other before Tsuga yawned, noticing that it had been a few hours and it was already 2 am. Tsuga's bed was comfy and Lily couldn't help but get more comfy as she fell asleep with Tsuga for the night.
