Lulu's POV
I pushed all of the papers off of Dante's desk in a rage, angry tears covered my cheeks.
"Lulu! What the hell are you doing?" Dante exclaimed throwing his hands up after coming back into the precinct with Lucky Spencer on his heels. Lucky had a bad feeling that his sister knew what Dante had done.
"I am a woman, I deserve a little bit of damn respect! I know everything about you Dante! I know that your favorite color is orange, I know your favorite time of day is dusk. The thing I know the most? The most important thing? Your favorite person isn't me! I know you've been cheating! I know that my dear brother knew every last fucking detail and decided not to fucking tell me!" Lulu growled at him, all she wanted to do was hurt both Lucky and Dante.
"You cheated on Lulu?" A voice came from behind them, I would know that voice in the dark. It was the voice I'd craved for two years, If pressed to admit it I still did. When my eyes met Johnny's eyes I couldn't hold it in anymore. I knew Ethan was behind him, before I broke down I needed to say something.
"Please tell me you didn't know, Ethan. Please tell me. I can't take much more betrayal." Lulu sniffed, tears flowing.
"I swear to you this is the first I'm hearing of it. I would never do that to you."Ethan frowned seeing how upset she was.
"Lulu, this wasn't easy for me." Lucky started but, he knew everything was a lie. He had betrayed his biggest fan, his baby sister. And for what? Some dope? Lucky didn't like who he was becoming.
"It sure feels easy to me, Lucky. I don't want to hear your reasons or whatever, you did what you did." Lulu shakes her head, looking away from him.
"You should be ashamed of yourself, Dante. You cheated on me back in the day but, I had really thought you had changed. For Lulu. I can see that you're just as twisted as Sonny. It pains me to say that about my godfather but it's true, your ma is going to be pissed. You know Olivia treats Lulu like a daughter, you made a terrible decision Dante." Brooklyn Ashton spoke from the doorway to the station, just shaking her head.
"I owe you an apology, Brooke." Lulu took a deep breath, before her tear tinged hazel eyes met Brooklyn's brown ones.
"Lulu, you don't owe me anything. I get it, I roofied your boyfriend. It doesn't matter that I was doing it for Carly, I could have said no. I should have said no. I'm sorry that I hurt you, Lulu. I really am. Nobody deserves what you just found out." Brooklyn was sympathetic.
"Truce?" Lulu asked holding out her hand.
"Truce." Brooklyn walked to the center of the room, shaking her hand.
"What are you two doing tonight?" Lulu turned to look at Johnny and Ethan.
"Now that we're out of this joint? Not a damn thing." Johnny answers before Ethan can.
"Eager." Brooklyn chuckled.
"At least someone is." Lulu managed a smirk thrown Johnny's way.
"Did you have anything in mind?" Ethan asked.
"You're just going to leave without hearing me out? With the likes of Zacchara?" Dante snapped, pissed.
"You threw me away, you didn't want me. Don't be mad at me for going out with Johnny, if I chose to." Lulu's words sliced through the air, Dante backed up a few feet after her words silenced him.
"Your loss is my gain, Falconeri." Johnny smirked putting his hand on the small of Lulu's back, leading her out of the police department.
"Thank you." She gave him a grateful smile.
"No problem, I'm just sorry that Dante cheated on you. You are literally the best woman in Port Charles, Dante's a loser." Johnny spoke as they walked down the sidewalk.
"I literally am not the best woman in town but, thank you. I admire you for trying to cheer me up, it might be working. I'll let you know. You're right, Dante's a loser." Lulu didn't know how she'd put up with it for this long.
"You are, you're just too stubborn to admit it." Johnny nudged her shoulder with his.
"We should do something and not tell anyone about it." Lulu clapped her hands together.
"I know of something we could do." Johnny smirked placing his hands on her hips, placing her against the glass window of a building.
"Not THAT!" Lulu laughed, swatting his arm playfully.
"You can't blame a guy for trying." Johnny smirked, pulling her in for a kiss. Lulu leaned into him as she softly captured his lips.
"I am delicious, I'll give you that." Lulu allowed, flitting her eyelashes at him.
"I'm interested, what did you mean before?" Johnny asked her, pulling back to look at her.
I was thinking the two of us could disappear for a little while, maybe even start a new life. I'm tired of Port Charles, Johnny. I know you've got to be dying to break free." Lulu glanced at him hoping he would go along.
"I... would like that. Things with Corinthos have finally ceased, Anthony's in Shadybrooke...there's nothing really holding me here anymore. Except for you and Lovett, of course. Did you have a particular place in mind?" Johnny thought about it for a minute, what did he have to lose? A life with Lulu was all he wanted.
"You and Sonny aren't fighting anymore? That's great, I'm happy for you. What did Anthony do this time? How are you holding up?" Lulu looped her arms around his neck, staring up at him.
"It was one of those things that we realized that Anthony was the real reason we were fighting. Of course there was Claudia's death and everything but, it was an accident. I know he planned on killing her but, all of that's in the past. I don't want to focus on it anymore. I'm tired of holding onto the anger. Anthony is who I'm really mad at, that's why I put him in Shadybrooke. I'll never have any peace otherwise. I've finally realized that. I'm actually good, for once." Johnny didn't delve into his feelings for just anyone but, Lulu was very special to him. Johnny knew that he could talk to her about anything under the sun.
"I'm happy for you, Johnny." Lulu smiled, stroking his cheek with her free hand.
"Where were you thinking of going?" Johnny asked.
"Do you remember when we were on the run?" She asks him, Johnny gives her a look at the question.
"Of course. What about it?" Johnny raised a brow.
"Well, Linda and Joe! They were from Chicago! It's fate, Johnny. It's a sign." Lulu says, Johnny chuckled at her words.
"The fact that you still remember that says a lot about our relationship, I'm game. Let's go." Johnny was ready to go without packing any bags.
"I know this is sort of a couples thing but, mind if we tag along? Port Charles is getting a little stifling." Ethan cleared his throat, Brooklyn stood beside him.
"I'm surprised you've stayed put for this long, I should have known I couldn't get away from you." Lulu laughed, pulling away from Johnny so she could hug her brother.
"Are you two...a couple now?" Johnny asked Brooklyn, giving the two siblings a moment.
"Something like that, though I use that term lightly because Ethan doesn't like labels." Brooklyn emphasizes the last word.
"Right, that's what I was getting at." Johnny chuckled, Johnny and Brooklyn had went out a couple of times but never felt any romantic chemistry so they decided to be friends. Ethan and Brooklyn had been sneaking around for months now, mainly because of Tracy. Brooklyn and her grandmother's relationship was rocky. Getting away from this town seemed like a dream.
"So...you and Lulu? I hear you two had quite the relationship." Brooklyn smirked.
"We've never stopped loving each other. I made a... horrible mistake when I kissed Maxie. I'll spend every moment trying to make it up to Lulu." If Johnny could go back in time he'd tell Lulu about Michael, and everything would be all right.
"If we'd still been together we could be married by now, maybe have a kid or two running around." Johnny muses glancing at nothing in particular.
"Lulu loves you, she's forgiven you for what you did. I agree you shouldn't have kissed Maxie but, you can't change the past." Brooklyn gives him an easy smile.
"When we get to Chicago, we have GOT to stop for pizza." Ethan announced, earning a laugh from the three.
