A week has passed since the Special Raid Event Mission had ended. It's one of the biggest events since the Mass Diver and EL-Diver incident. Considering the fact that the grunts and the boss used gunpla who had similar, yet sinister design then the original one just shows how the developers have upped their game.
In any case, a certain man didn't get to join the event because there isn't any GBN Station nearby the countryside that he visited with his parents for a whole week. That's a bummer. But nonetheless, he had returned back to his home, and oh boy, he couldn't wait to get diving for sure.
This is a story of a man, who isn't exactly a pro at building and customising gunplas, but he has exceptional skills in Gunpla Battle. And the journey that he's going to go through.
[Gundam Build Divers Re:Start]
Prologue
" Heavy Breath*" A brown haired boy with black eyes went out from the car and breathed the fresh air in front of his home. "It's been a week since I touched anything related to gunpla. I really should log in now."
That's Reiya Akai, or people just call him Rei for short. He's a 16 years old high schooler, who's not that obsessed with Gundam, but totally obsessed with GBN. I mean, who wouldn't be obsessed with it. Being able to dive in a VRMMO world to fight against giant robots using giant robots that you built yourself is sick as hell.
"Rei!" As he walked towards the doors, a person called him. Rei turned around and saw his mother calling his name. "Really? After we just returned from your grandparent's house, are you just gonna log into GBN now?"
"I haven't logged in for a week. Let me play for a few hours please…" He begged.
" Sigh* Like father and son. I don't understand their obsession with plastic kits. Thank goodness my daughters didn't turn out like them…"
"Hey, I can hear that!" Rei retorted.
"Alright, but just for a few hours. Make sure you log out before dinner." His mother said to him.
"Okay!"
Rei dashed through the front door and sprinted upstairs to his room. He threw his bags on the bed and sat down on his gaming chair.
"Let's get started…"
In front of him is an advanced, portable GBN station that he won during an event hosted by GBN themselves.
"Time to get the baddies out…"
He reached to the leather case on the edge of his table. Rei then opened up the case, revealing his gunpla that he finished building a week ago.
"It's time for you to shine, Astray Red Frame Assault Jacket Inversion!"
Indeed, it's a gunpla based off the Astray Red Frame Mars Jacket. Rei got the Gunpla Data from a Seed Destiny Astray event mission a month ago. He used the injection machine at the Gundam Base Tokyo to make the runners for it. He also used it to make weapons using the Weapon Data that he got from missions, such as Caletvwlch.
The customised Astray looks the same compared to the old one, aside from the inverted colour scheme. However, its basic spec had been boosted up to 3 times compared to the normal one.
Not only that, Rei ditched the Beam Twin Sword Rifle for his own custom weapon, Caletvwlch Inversion FDM. Its appearance is similar to the original one, but its safety limit has been completely turned off. Normally, it would destroy itself if it fired a few full energy blasts. In order to counter that, Rei replaced some parts of the weapon with custom metal parts.
Since Rei isn't skillful and brave enough to heavily customise his gunpla, he just painted his gunpla in different colours, tune up the internal frame, and switch weapons if it's necessary. Compared to a fully customised gunpla, his gunpla might not have a chance against the champ or Riku from Build Divers. But hey, he's still considered himself as one of the top players in GBN, even though no one acknowledged that.
"I know it's your first ride, but I won't be gentle with you." He said to the plastic model kit that he is currently holding. "I didn't build you so that you could sit on the shelf. I build you to fight. Whether we win or lose, it doesn't matter. If we win, we will continue to win. If we lose, we will improve ourselves, so that we can win again!"
It feels like he just gives himself a pep talk. Whatever, it's time to dive!
Rei put on the visor and activated the portable station.
ID Data confirmed. Please scan your Gunpla.
He put the gunpla onto the triangle platform. The platform then started scanning the whole gunpla.
Login Data confirmed. Are you ready?
"Of course I'm ready!"
Dive starts now.
As he log in, his consciousness in real life is transferred into GBN
GBN, Main Lobby
Rei appears in the main lobby, where he last logged out. He then looked around, seeing a bunch of divers with different clothes. He then went near the reflective walls to see the reflection of himself.
Rei, or his in-game name, RE1, which is kind of funny, looks at his own reflection, where he has red hair and golden eyes. His outfit is a simple crimson formal military outfit and black slacks. Not only that, he also has wolf ears and tails. Essentially, his avatar is just a demi-human.
"There's no abnormality. I guess I can start searching for a mission to test my gunpla."
He then started walking towards theMission Counter to check some missions. A floating window appears in front of him. Rei then started scrolling through it to search for a mission.
"Hmm… The Battle Mission is too easy. I need some challenge…" He continued to search for a perfect mission for the debut of his new gunpla. "Huh?"
Rei stopped at a certain mission.
"Randomized Team Battle Event Mission? Doesn't that mean I need to team up with people to complete a certain mission? Why is it like a Force Mission?" He wondered. "But the rewards are great… Welp, there's nothing I can do with it."
Rei instantly accepted the mission. If it's involving high rewards, then Rei would surely grasp it. Blue particles surrounded his body as he immediately teleported to somewhere else.
Waiting Room
A blue light appears, sending Rei into the Waiting Room.
"Eh… This room looks like the default Force Nest…" He muttered. Then, he opened up a window to check the rules. Why didn't he do that before he accepted the mission? "Hmm… It's a 5 v 5 battle, just like the usual Force Battle. But the difference is that you team up with other people within the same server. It's like a MOBA game format… Your gunpla will be revived after a minute and half after it gets destroyed. The winning condition is to destroy the enemy ship or base that stored their machine. That sounds simple."
Rei then turned to the screen next to him.
Waiting for other Divers…
"I guess that I just have to wait…" He sat down and opened his window to check his gunpla stats. "Hmm?"
A blue light appears, summoning a Diver.
"Wow… That was quick…" The person who came out from the blue light said. His avatar is just a normal human, with blonde hair tied to the back and purple eyes. He also is wearing a traditional purple yukata and black hakama along with wooden sandals. He then turned to Rei. "Oh, there's a person here."
The man then walked towards him.
"Are you here for the event mission as well?" The blonde man asked Rei.
"Well, if I'm not, then I wouldn't be here, right?" Rei answered.
"Hahaha! Yeah, you're right!" The blonde man said out loud. "I'm Tekka."
"RE1." Rei gave a short and quick response.
"RE1… Can I call you Rei?"
"Sure."
"Alright then!" Tekka then took a seat next to Rei. "So… When will we start the mission?"
"After the three other random Divers are teleported here." He responded. "Didn't you read the rules?"
"Nope!"
"Okay…" Rei now knows what kind of Diver that he deals with right now.
Then, three blue lights appeared again in the room, revealing three Divers.
One is a human girl with dark green hair with lime eyes, wearing a lime coloured Gundam Meister clothes from 00 Season.
The other one is a human boy with grey hair and red eyes, wearing a long sleeve maroon shirt and dark brown cargo pants along with a black boots.
And lastly, is a human girl with magenta hair with peach eyes, wearing a black shirt with a magenta jacket over it and black pants along with magenta shoes.
The text on the screen then changed.
Waiting for the opposite team…
"Oh wow, there's more people!" Tekka said out loud. This guy is definitely an extrovert.
"Great… I didn't think that I would get to team up with a pushover person like you…" The girl with dark green hair muttered.
"Hahaha! Don't worry about me! I'm rank D! My fighting skills are great!"
"Really? I'm rank A, you know?" The dark haired girl said with a smug on her face.
"What?!" Tekka can't believe that. "Prove it!"
" Sigh*" The girl sighed as she opened her status window and showed it to him.
"No way… How about you?!" He turned to Rei.
"I'm the same." He opened his status window and showed it to him.
"Erm… How about you two?" Tekka asked the last two people who didn't speak.
"Same."
"Likewise."
The grey haired boy and the magenta haired girl show their status to him as well.
"No…! I'm the lowest rank Among Us!" Rekka shouted out loud and fell to the floor, feeling defeated.
"Anyways, since we obviously don't know each other, mind we talk about a strategy to win this mission?" The dark green haired girl suggested.
"Sure."
"That would be great."
"Yes."
Rei and the three other people then formed a circle in front of the table.
"Hey, don't forget about me!" Tekka stood up and joined them. "How about we introduce ourselves first along with our gunpla?"
"I suppose so…" The dark green haired girl said. "My name is Mido, and this is my machine."
She then swipe a window to the table, making her miniature sized gunpla appear on top of it. Rei then read the name of the gunpla.
GN-006D/SA Cherudim Gundam SAGA Devout
" Cherudim Gundam SAGA Devout… Welp, from her clothes, I can instantly know that she used a gundam from Anno Domini. Even though the kit is still the same, the colours are lime green instead of the usual darker colour that the original has." Rei thought to himself.
"A middle shooter, huh? I guess you could stay in the middle or in the front." The magenta haired girl commented.
"That's what I'm planning to do in the first place." Mido responded. "So, who's next?"
"Well…" The grey haired boy spoke up. "My name is Villian, and this is the gunpla that I used…"
Mido's gunpla disappeared, and then Villian's gunpla then appeared.
XXXG-00W0E Wing Gundam Proto Zero Evil
" Wing Gundam Proto Zero Evil, huh… Its colours are inverted, just like my gunpla. And since this is a powerhouse machine, it could fill many roles in battle."
"Yikes, a Wing Zero with a terrific colour scheme." Mido commented.
"I guess you could stay in the middle as well, considering Wing Proto Zero isn't close combat oriented in the first place." The magenta haired girl suggested.
"Fine with me." Villian replied.
"Okay! Now it's my turn!" Tekka exclaimed. "The name's Tekka, and this is my gunpla!"
The Wing Proto Zero disappears and Tekka's gunpla appears on the table.
ASW-G-29 Gundam Astaroth Origin
" Astaroth Origin? But isn't that a Vual? But it also has the Sledgehammer and the shotgun… Wait… The head… It's a half-assed painted Astaroth Origin head with Vual's colour scheme. The γ Nanolaminate Sword is the same as well. And from the look of it… It's just a straight build gunpla with a little touch of brown panel lining. His building skills are a little bit mediocre, but since he is D rank, his fighting skills must be above average or so."
"Look at my gunpla! It's cool, right?!" Tekka asked them.
"Well…" Villian has something to said, but he's deciding if he should said it or not.
"To be honest, it kind of sucks." Apparently, Mido didn't have the filter on her mouth. "It's just a straight build and a little bit of kitbashing. And it still has the same name as Astaroth Origin when it clearly used Vual's body. Can't you change the name or something? Are you a newbie or what?"
"Well… I don't have much time, as I have a lot of things to do IRL. I don't know much about plastic model building nor Gundam in general. Sorry about that." Tekka answered while clapping his hand together.
" Sigh* I guess normies do play GBN after all… Whose next?" Mido asked.
"I suppose that I can go next…" The magenta haired girl spoke up. "My name is Rosa, and this is my gunpla."
Rosa then showed off her gunpla stats.
ZGMF-X15RTA Strike Freedom Rouge Tentative
" Strike Freedom Rouge Tentative… Just like the name implies, it has a Strike Rouge colour scheme. On top of that, the Strike Freedom backpack is switched with the original Freedom backpack. I guess she didn't like to use the Super D.R.A.G.O.O.N. System because if we're on a field with gravitational pull, that system would be useless."
"Oh wow, Strike Freedom with a Strike Rouge colour scheme… It's beautiful… I can tell that you carefully painted all of the parts." Mido commented on Rosa's Strike Freedom Rouge.
"Thanks…" Rosa seems to have a problem with receiving compliments as her face is too aloof.
"I guess it's my turn to introduce myself." Rei spoke up. "The name's RE1, but you can call me Rei. And this is my partner in justice."
He opened his gunpla status window and swiped it to the table.
MBF-P02S/AJ Astray Red Frame Assault Jacket Inversion
"Woah… An Astray Red Frame with Mars Jacket and Caletvwlch? All the colours are inverted." Mido commented.
"Not only that, the build quality is superb, as if it's a kit built from scratch… And there's also some metal parts on the Caletvwlch. I guess you have fully disabled the limiter on it so that it would be more powerful than your usual Caletvwlch." Rosa said as she carefully inspected the gunpla.
"Wait a minute… It said that it's a gundam. But why does it look like those Zaku type gunpla?" Tekka spoke up.
"First of all, you know about Gusion? Does it look like a transitional gundam?" Rei asked him.
"Uh… I think it doesn't…?" Tekka isn't sure if his answer is correct or not.
" Sigh* Nevermind that." Rei gave up on the gundam normie. "In any case, since we all know what types of gunpla we use, can we start with battle formation now?"
"Yeah, we can." Mido responded. "I suggest that me and this blondie here are on the vanguard, while Rosa-chi and Villian-kun stay in the middle. As for you, you're going to protect our ship. How's that sound?"
"That would work."
"It's a simple plan, but could be executed effectively."
"That's great."
"I'm okay with it, as long as I'm in the front!"
The four of them felt sceptical about Tekka being in the front.
"I hope he didn't mess things up."
The text on the screen then changed.
Opposite team confirmed! Location: Space. Teleporting to the designated area…
The five of them then surrounded with blue light, as they were teleported to the battlefield.
Battlefield: Space
All of them then teleported to the ship's launching deck, along with their gunplas.
Rei then checks the status of his gunpla.
"Alright… Assault Jacket System, clear… Assault Drive System, clear… Module System, ready to charge… All systems are good to go."
"Can everyone hear me?" Mido asked through the communication system.
"Loud and clear." Rei said to her.
"Likewise." Rosa replied.
"Me too." Villian replied.
"Me three!" Tekka replied.
"Alright then, launch now and get into your positions." Mido said to them.
"Roger that!"
"Affirmative!"
"Copy that!"
"Okay!"
The five of their gunpla started moving towards the catapult. Since Rei is the first one to enter the team, his gunpla is the one who launches first.
"Okay…" He gripped the controller that's in front of him. "RE1, Astray Red Frame Assault Jacket Inversion. Launching now!"
He moved both of the controllers forward, launching his gunpla from the catapult.
"There's no problem with the verniers… Caletvwlch Inversion FDM is ready to use… The Module System is still charging… Everything seems normal."
Rei then moved his gunpla closer to the ship.
"This spacecraft seems like an original design made by the GBN, considering its cyberpunk-ish design."
The rest of the four gunplas then launched from the ship and went to their own position.
"Okay, I got visuals on the enemy ship and their MS!" Mido said as she visualised the footage to her teammates. "We got a red Destiny with two Arondight, blue Arche, inverted colour Epyon, light brown Reginlaze Julia and white Legend on our sight! These guys seem tough, but we can defeat it, together!"
Through Mido's speech, everyone has their confidence boosted.
Battle… Start!
"Alright! I'm going to smash them all!" Tekka's Astaroth then went towards the enemies in jet stream.
"Wait! What are you doing?! Get back here!" Mido shouted, but Tekka ignored her.
"Just because my rank is low, it doesn't mean I'm weak! I will show you all that I'm the greatest!" The Astaroth then pulled out the sword on his waist. "Starting with you, weird gundam with a round back! Hah!!!"
The white Legend then uses its beam rifle to shoot at the incoming suit, but it doesn't do that much damage because Astaroth is made out of Nanolaminate Armor.
"Hahaha! Your pew-pew doesn't have any effect on me!" Tekka taunted.
Even so, the white Legend is still blasting at him.
"Is this guy an idiot? This doesn't have any effect on me whatsoever-"
Boom*
"What?!"
After the white Legend shot at the Astaroth's exposed frame multiple times, the gunpla let out a small explosion. Since the Astaroth Origin is just a clumsy, straight build gunpla, its Nanolaminate Armor can't hold on if it gets hit by a few high energy beam attacks.
"What's happening-Argh?!"
Bang* Bang Bang*
The light brown Reginlaze Julia then shot him using the vulcan cannon. Unlike the white Legend, this suit here is all physical.
"Oh no, oh no, oh no!!!" Tekka tries to use both of his shields to protect him, but it's too late as the opposite suit's Julian Sword had already pierced the Astaroth's chest. "Damnnnn-"
The Astaroth then disappeared into blue particles, returning to the ship in order to be revived a minute and a half later.
"..."
Rei, Rosa, Mido and Villian stays silent for a few seconds before continuing the battle.
"Sheesh…! Why is he making this hard for us!" Mido takes the GN Beam Pistol in the cartridge that's on her Cherudim's waist and starts shooting at the light brown Reginlaze Julia, which evades and flies backwards. "Rosa-chi, please fill in here until that blockhead comes back!"
"Alright!" The Strike Freedom then flew to the front and joined the Cherudim to shoot at the enemies with its beam rifles.
"Damn… That Astaroth is crazy, don't you think so?" The Legend pilot said to the Reginlaze Julia pilot.
"Yeah, he went to you rather than me. But even if he went to me, the results would be the same, as that Astaroth pilot is probably an idiot." She responded.
"Guys, focus. The others' suit isn't down yet. I had a feeling that the Strike Freedom and the Red Frame might be a problem." The Arche user said to them.
"If that's the case, then I'm going to test the Red Frame to see if he's strong or not!" The Destiny then flies to the front.
"Don't worry. I will cover him." The Epyon pilot said as he turned his mech into MA Mode and followed the red Destiny from behind.
"Well then, I suppose we distract the Strike Freedom and Cherudim." The Legend pilot said to the Reginlaze Julia and Arche user.
"If that's how it is, then let's do it in style! Fang!" 10 Fangs came out from its skirt and went towards their enemies' suit.
"I see, I guess we can go, in style. DRAGOONs!" All of the eight cannons on its back separated from it and went towards their enemies' suit.
"Tch!" Mido started firing at the Fangs while dodging its attack.
Meanwhile, Rosa dodge all of the DRAGOONs attack while waiting for an opportunity to strike back.
"Hah!"
The Reginlaze Julia then went straight to the Cherudim SAGA. But it evaded the sword and started firing at her while dodging the Fangs. Despite her efforts, her attacks don't have that much of an effect.
"You have to do better than that! Unlike that Astaroth, I carefully painted my gunpla so that it would have a higher beam resistance!" The Reginlaze Julia pilot said to Mido through the communication system.
"Yep, know that!" She said as she continued firing at the machine.
"Woohoo!" The Arche then swung its GN Buster Sword at the Cherudim SAGA, but it swiftly dodged it. "Arche and Cherudim… I don't think that this is just a mere coincidence!"
"Oh, boy… It's really a coincidence!"
"Coincidence or not, I'm going to fight to the fullest if my gunpla's archenemy is in front of it! Trans-Am!" The blue Arche started glowing red.
"If that's how you're gonna play it, then this is what you're gonna get! Trans-Am!" The Cherudim SAGA Devout then glows in red colour. She then switched the GN Beam Pistol for the GN Beam Pistol II on its back.
"Hahaha! This is what I like!" The Arche went to the Cherudim SAGA at rapid speed.
"Don't you dare forget about me!" The Reginlaze Julia then went for the Cherudim SAGA as well.
Mido sweats, as she has to fight two machines at once due to a certain idiot mistake.
Blast* Blast* Blast*
Rosa evades all of the cannon's attacks. When the Legend arrived, the cannon returned back to its slot.
"Why did you do that?" Rosa asked.
"Well, considering the fact that you didn't have a DRAGOON System, I decided that I wanted to have a fair fight." The Legend pilot said to her.
"Fair fight? There's no 'fair' in a fight like this!" The Strike Freedom's railgun flipped out and fired at the Legend. It barely dodges it.
"Oh well, if you said so…!" The DRAGOONS then detach from the Legend's back and fire at the Strike Freedom. "I'm sorry to say that I'm winning this battle."
The Legend stored its beam rifle on the back and brought out two of its beam javelin from its leg to combine it into a double bladed beam javelin. It then went to Strike Freedom.
In response to that, Rosa stored both her beam rifles onto her Strike Freedom Rouge's waist and brought out the beam saber from the back of her waist to combine it into a double bladed beam saber as well.
Crackle*
The two beam weapons clash with each other.
"I won't let you pass!" Villian said as he fired the chest vulcan on his Wing Proto Zero at the red Destiny.
It evaded the vulcans by manoeuvring to the right.
"You're not my target. However, you're my teammates' target."
Something fast went by the Destiny and headed towards the Wing Proto Zero.
"The Epyon…!" Villian raised his gunpla shield to defend against the tails of the MA Mode Epyon.
"Impressive." The Epyon then turned back to its MS Mode. "It seems like I won't be bored for a while."
The Epyon then brings out the Beam Sword on his right waist and activates it.
"Likewise!" Wing Proto Zero Evil's right shoulder pops out, revealing a Beam Saber. It then grabbed it with its left hand and activated it.
"Hah!"
"Hah!"
Both of their beam weapons clash with each other. Wing Proto Zero backed down and proceeded to shoot its Twin Buster Rifle at the Epyon. But the Epyon swiftly evaded it. It then used the head rod on its shield to swing it at the Wing Proto Zero, but it also evaded it.
Warning! Warning! Warning!
"That red Destiny recklessly went towards me. That idiot blonde… If he followed orders, we wouldn't get in this situation in the first place."
"Yo, Red Frame-niichan." The Destiny pilot called him. "Cast off your jacket and fight me for real."
"Sorry, but…" Rei points at the Destiny with his Caletvwlch G-Mode. "It wouldn't even take a few seconds of my battery life to defeat you. So, I didn't see a point in doing that."
"I see… Then!" The Arondight on the right side of its backpack flips up. The Destiny grabbed the handle and the sword flipped open, activating the beam effect on the sword. "You better be ready!"
The wings of the backpack flips up and lights up, forming wings made out of particles.
Blast* Blast* Blast*
Rei shoots at the red Destiny, but it barely dodges all of the shots.
"It won't work! My Sword Destiny has high mobility! Hah!" The Destiny pilot swings its sword downward at the Red Frame.
Clang*
Rei then blocked the sword with the Caletvwlch Short Blade.
"You're strong, considering you can block this attack!"
"And you're a fool to think my Red Frame would fall down to this!"
Brrrrt*
The Red Frame then tilted its head to the left and started firing the "Igelstellung" on the Sword Destiny's head.
"What?!" The Sword Destiny then backed down, but it was meaningless as the gunpla's main camera had been destroyed.
Rei used this chance to shoot his Caletvwlch G-Mode at the Arondight that the Sword Destiny was holding.
Blast*
The sword exploded, releasing a pinkish shockwave.
"Grr… That's only the main camera!" The Sword Destiny then grabbed the other Arondight and scanned for the Astray Red Frame Assault Jacket Inversion. "Tch… It's hard to see without the main camera…"
Warning! Warning! Warning!
A MS is coming towards him.
"Heh, I thought you're not that dumb to carelessly attack me when I don't have a main camera." The Sword Destiny then slash the waist of the MS, splitting it into half. "Even without a main camera, I shall emerge victorious!"
After the pinkish particles disappeared, the pilot then managed to see what gunpla he had slash.
"What?!" The pilot was shocked to see that it isn't the Red Frame.
"Damn it!!! I only had been revived! Why the hell I had to-"
Boom*
The Astaroth then exploded. It was indeed Tekka that tried to attack the Sword Destiny.
"Crap! Where's the-"
Blast*
A crimson beam blast went through the Sword Destiny's chest from behind.
"I'm right here." Rei said as the Red Frame kicked the Sword Destiny away from exploding near the ship.
Boom*
"Good grief… I did tell him to wait after the particles disappeared, but he didn't listen. Sigh* Oh well, time to win this battle."
The Red Frame then dashed towards the Wing Proto Zero and the inverted Epyon.
"Alright, the head, right wing and leg should be sufficient." The beam cannon behind the MS back flips forward. "Module System is on 67% charge. I guess I can use 17% of it since I can use the Module System at least 25% charge."
He transferred and divided the 17% charge onto the two beam cannons and his Caletvwlch G-Mode.
"Charge output 100%!" He then targeted the head, right wing and leg of the Epyon. "Tri-Burst Beam!"
Blast*
Three high output beam blasts went towards the Epyon.
"What?!" The Epyon pilot noticed the beam blast coming at him, but the MS isn't quick enough to evade it.
The three blasts then melted the head, right wing and leg of the inverted Epyon.
"Damnit!" The Epyon pilot now is screwed due to the fact that his gunpla is melted right now.
"Hah!!!" The Wing Proto Zero Evil then pointed its Twin Buster Rifle at the inverted Epyon's chest.
Blast*
The shot then melted its chest.
Boom*
The gunpla then exploded.
"Are you okay?" Rei asked Villian.
"Yeah, thanks for the assist, Rei-san." He replied.
"No probs. But we need to help Mido and Rosa quickly."
"Okay!" The Wing Proto Zero then throws its shield and rifle to the front. The rifle also split into two. The MS then started turning into its Neo Bird Mode. The riflest then attached to the sides of the shield, and the shield is mounted on the points of the backpack. "I will help Rosa-san. You can help Mido-san, as she seems like she needs your help the most."
"Copy that!" Both of them then split up to help their teammates.

The Strike Freedom Rouge used its head vulcans to fire at the white Legend.
"Vulcans aren't going to do a thing to Phase Shift Armor, you know?" The Legend pilot said to Rosa.
"You think I didn't know that?!" She replied with a railgun shot at the Legend.
"Damn, you really like using railguns, huh? So violent…"
"This is Gunpla Battle! I can do whatever I want to win if it's not forbidden in the battle rules!"
"Well then, perhaps this is not your lucky day." The beam cannon then surrounded the Strike Freedom from all points. "As I will win!"
The beam cannon started to light up. Rosa prepared to activate Hi-MAT Mode in order to destroy all of the beam cannons. But then…
Blast*
Two beam blasts went towards the eight beam cannons, destroying it all in an instant.
"Tch! Reinforcement!" The white Legend then tries to back down.
"Where do you think you're going!" Rosa combined the two beam rifles together and shot the white Legend on its back.
"Grr?!" The MS received quite heavy damage to its backpack.
The Strike Freedom Rouge then stored the beam rifles to its waist and pulled out the two beam sabers on its back.
"Hah!" The beam sabers light up as the MS slices off the hands of the Legend. "You're finished!"
It then combined the two beam sabers and rapidly slash all of the white Legend's chest.
"Yep… You're vio-"
Boom*
The white Legend pilot didn't manage to finish its sentence.
"Thanks for the help, Villian." Rosa said as the Wing Proto Zero Evil in its Neo Bird Mode arrived next to her MS.
"No need for that, Rosa-san. We need to destroy their ships before one of them is revived." He said to her. "Don't worry about Mido-san. Rei-san is going to assist him."
"Affirmative. I think if I get a little bit closer, I can use my Hi-MAT Mode, alongside with Full Burst Mode to deal a huge amount of damage to the spacecraft."
"I can also use the highest output of my Twin Buster Rifle to deal a huge amount of damage as well."
"Okay, let's do that."
Both of them then went closer to the enemy's ship.
"Tch! Damnit!" Mido tries to shoot the Arche, the Fangs and evade the Reginlaze Julia attacks all at once. "It would be easier if I had my Zabanya right now, which I hadn't finished building yet!"
"Hahaha! This is fun!" The blue Arche pilot said as he swung the buster sword at the Cherudim SAGA Devout.
Clang*
But the MS blocked it with the blade on GN Beam Pistol II.
"You think ganging up on me 1 v 2 is fun?!" Mido retorted.
"Don't misunderstand! We just wanted to win! Hah!" The light brown Reginlaze Julia then went straight at the Mido's Cherudim on point blank.
She can't evade as 10 Fangs is heading towards her MS. Even with Trans-Am, she can't do anything to survive this. Unless there's a high powered beam attack to destroy the Fangs on either side.
Blast*
Luckily for her, there's a high powered MS coming to assist her.
Three beam blasts went towards them. The first and second beam destroyed the six Fangs that surrounded Mido's MS on both of her sides, and the last beam was directed at the Reginlaze Julia, forcing her to dodge the beam attack.
"It's the Red Frame!" The light brown Reginlaze Julia pilot exclaimed.
"Rei-chi! You come in time to save my butt!" Mido thanked him.
"Rei-chi?" He felt weird hearing Mido called his name like that. "Talk later, fight more! I take on this Reginlaze Julia here. You fight the Arche!"
"Alright!" She then went to take on the blue Arche.
"Okay, it's time to end this." The Astray Red Frame Assault Jacket Inversion then pointed the Caletvwlch G-Mode at the light brown Reginlaze Julia.
"Did you forget that the Nanolaminate Armor can't be damaged with beam weapons? Multiplied that with my beam-coating painting, no beam weapons can touch my Reginlaze Maria-"
Blast* Blast* Blast*
Despite that, the Red Frame proceeded to shoot the MS.
" Sigh* Boys aren't that smart, aren't they? I even tried to warn you-Huh?!" The Reginlaze Maria user then realised that the painting on her gunpla is wearing out from the crimson beam blast.
"I know that, but the basic output of my Caletvwlch Inversion FDM can destroy any MS with Nanolaminate Armor in just three clear shots. But maybe it would take at least 9 shots for your gunpla here." Rei explained to her.
"A-As if I let you do that!"
Bam* Bam* Bam* Bam*
She used the vulcan guns on the shoulder binders to attack the Red Frame.
Brrrrt*
But it counters with the "Igelstellung" to destroy those vulcans and continue to blast the MS.
Blast* Blast*
"Crap!" She turned the Julian Sword on the MS right into whip mode to attack the Red Frame. But it catches the whip with its left hand and fires the vulcans to destroy the whip. Rei also destroyed the other Julian Sword on the left MS forearm with the "Igelstellung". "This isn't over yet-Argh!!!"
Rei used both of the beam cannon binders on his MS back to destroy the Reginlaze Julia shoulder binders.
"This is the end! Max Charge" He charges his Caletvwlch G-Mode to deal the finishing attack on the MS.
Blast*
The Reginlaze Julia armors then slowly melted, and later exploded.
Boom*
"It takes five basic shots, two beam cannon shots, and one charged shot. That's a new record!" Rei is happy to know that his gunpla is getting stronger.
Blast* Blast* Blast* Blast*
Mido used her Cherudim SAGA Devout GN Beam Pistol to blast a barrage of beam shots at the blue Arche.
"Crap, why is it stronger than before-Argh!" The Arche left leg were destroyed by the barrage of beam shots.
"Of course the Cherudim is stronger! Haven't you watched the anime?" Mido asked him as she continued to shoot at him.
"You don't have to tell me about the things that I already know! Fang!"
The four remaining Fangs went towards the Cherudim Saga.
"Since their numbers had been cut down…" She used the beam pistol to destroy the first two Fangs. Then, she used the GN Missiles that were stored in the pod inside of the front waist to finish off the last remaining Fangs. "It's much easier to destroy them."
"Damnit!" The blue Arche decided to get close and personal with the Cherudim. He activates the beam saber on the tip of its feet and tries to kick the Cherudim with its right leg.
"That won't work!" Mido ditched the GN Beam Pistol and reached the two GN Submachine Gun on its knees and proceeded to shoot the right leg until it exploded.
Brrrrt* Brrrrt* Boom*
"It's not over yet!" The blue Arche pilot is still trying to fight using the buster sword.
"When will you give up…" The Cherudim then let go both of the submachine guns and grabbed the GN Beam Pistol II in its Axe Mode and threw it at the legless Arche on both of its shoulders. Then, it uses the remaining GN Missiles to destroy the GN Buster Sword.
"No… No way…"
"Oh, it's yes way!" The Cherudim grabbed both of the submachine guns back and proceeded to finish off the blue Arche with it.
Brrrrt* Brrrrt*
" Sigh* I guess an Arche can't never defeat a Cherudim-"
Boom*
The blue Arche exploded.
"You got that right!" Mido said smugly.
"Yo!" Rei called her. "I already dealt with the Reginlaze Julia. We have around 45 seconds left before the red Destiny is revived. Rosa and Villian is going to attack the ship with all of their MS powers. Do you have any arsenal to deal huge damage to the enemy ship?"
"Well, I have my Finish Move that I can use." The Cherudim Saga Devout then grabbed the GN Assault Caliber that's mounted on its right shoulder. "In fact, I can even do it from here and it still deals the same damage."
"That's intriguing."
"How about you? Since your Red Frame isn't fully melee oriented, I suppose you have a long range attack or a Finish Move with long range attack."
"Well, you're right on the money. But since this is my first time using this gunpla, I don't have any Finish Moves registered on it yet."
"Really? It's your first time using it? From the looks of it, it seems like you have been using it since forever."
"Well, I'm experienced with Astray Types MS. Learning to use one is just a piece of cake to me." Rei explained. "In any case, we shouldn't waste any seconds now."
The Astray Red Frame Assault Jacket Inversion then flies a bit further from the Cherudim.
"Assault Jacket, cast off!"
Following Rei's command, the armors on the limbs, waist, shoulders and chest instantly detached. The backpack flips up and the binders swivel upside down, pointing the handles of Anti-Beam Coating Large Sword upwards. The mouch piece then flips up, covering the red mono eye, and revealing the Astray Red Frame Assault Jacket Inversion true form.
"Woah…" Mido is amazed by the MS transformation.
"It's time for the end game!"
"I think it is close enough for us to attack the ship from here." Villian said to Rosa.
"That goes to me too."
"Alright… Let's do this!" Villain changed his Wing Proto Zero Evil back to its MS Mode. He combined the Twin Buster Rifle and pointed it at the spacecraft. Its muzzle then shines brightly. "Twin Buster Rifle, maximum output…"
"Hi-MAT…" The Strike Freedom Rouge then flipped forwards the 'Super Balaena' and 'Xiphias 3' forward along with two of its 'Lupus' beam rifles towards the spacecraft. All of the rifles, beam cannons and railguns started glowing.
Rosa used the Multi Lock-On System to target all of the spacecraft parts.
"Okay…" The Cherudim SAGA Devout visor flip down and it points the assault caliber at the spacecraft. Then, the reddish Trans-Am colour changed to a dark greenish colour. The muzzle them emit a purple particles.
"Wait, where have I seen that before…" Rei wondered. "Nevermind that. I need to prepare for my attack."
The Astray Red Frame Assault Jacket Inversion binders then flip downwards to the front.
"Module System is at 59%. Time to pump all of that into this attack." All of the percentage went to activate his special attack. "I guess that I can use another system to make sure that my damage is maximised."
Rei toggles through to the status window in front of it.
"Assault Drive System, activate!"
ADS System Activated! Ready to strike!
The Red Frame started to emit crimson particles all over the place, as if it was powered by a Solar Reactor.
A cursor then appears on the screen. Rei targeted the ship using it. All of the beam cannons and Caletvwlch muzzle started to glow.
"Fire!!!"

"Full Burst!!!"

"Finish Move: Target and Firing!!!"

"Module System! Shooting Style: Tri-Fusion Burst… Shoot!!!

Three of the MS then release a high output, beam blast at the ship, while the Strike Freedom Rouge goes all Kira Yamato on the ship.

The spacecraft slowly exploded, piece by piece.

"Phew…" Rei is relieved that all of this is over. "Oh, I got high Destructive Points. Nice… And the ones who got none of the Destructive Points… Nevermind that."
"That's awesome! I didn't know that your gunpla can literally blast a high output Mega Launcher level attack. Actually, it might be even stronger than the Mega Launcher itself…" Mido muttered.
"I just tweaked and installed some universal system that I created on my gunpla."
"Eh, a universal system, huh? Might let me know about it?" She tries to ask about the systems.
"Sorry, even though I said it's universal, that doesn't mean that I will share it with everyone, especially to the people I didn't know."
"Huh, tough luck. At least I try."
"Oh, there's something that I wanted to say." Rei spoke up. "You named your Finish Move 'Targeted and Firing'? Honestly, that's so cool and cringey at the same time."
"Hahaha! I know, I know. But it's a powerful attack, comparable to the GN Sword III Raiser Sword."
"I see… Noted."
"Good job, you two." Villian comes with his gunpla towards the two of them.
"Yeah. Both of your attacks, combined with our make enough damage to destroy the ship in a single go. I must say that your gunpla building and fighting are superb." Rosa said to them after she arrived with her gunpla.
"Eheh, you don't have to praise me that much, Rosa-chi…"
Then, a MS slowly flies towards them.
"Oh, speaking of praises…" Mido's voice turned deep. The Astaroth Origin then stood in front of the four gunplas. "You… Do you know what you did wrong?"
"The enemy is too strong!" Tekka exclaimed. "They managed to destroy my gunpla with such ease. It's as if-"
"They are cheating?" Mido instantly knows what he's going to speak about. "They aren't cheating. Those are top Divers with amazing built gunpla along with lore information about Gundam. The reason they can destroy your gunpla with such ease is because they already know the weaknesses of your gunpla. Between you and them, you're just a pebble in the mud."
"Tch! Why you…!" Tekka brings the Sledgehammer out and proceeds to attack Mido's gunpla.
"Wait." Rei quickly turned his Caletvwlch Inversion FDM in S-Mode and swung it between their gunplas. "If you want to fight, then don't do it here."
The Red Frame eyes locked with the Astaroth Origin eyes.
"Fine! Gunpla Battle is not that fun! I don't know what's fun about spending hours of your life building and customising your gunpla! And it's not that I enjoyed Gundam anyway."
Then, his gunpla disappeared from the battlefield.
"He logged out…" Rei muttered.
"Hey, I think you went a little bit too far…" Villian said to Mido.
"I think so too. But if he is just gonna blame the enemies for cheating when they defeated him, then he isn't fit to play GBN." She explained.
"You're right. However, he's just a newbie who's just interested in Gundam and Gunpla. Aside from his nosy attitude, he indeed has an interest in GBN." Rosa said to her.
" Sigh* Alright, alright… You are right. But I still stand with my remarks on him."
"If you said so."
GBN, Main Lobby
"Haha, good game!"
Currently, the members of Team 1 and Team 2 from the battle a few minutes ago shake hands with each other.
"Didn't expect to go against four A rank players at once." The Epyon Inversion pilot said out loud.
"Yeah, I'm only C rank, you know…" The Reginlaze Maria pilot muttered.
"Not only that, even though you guys didn't heavily customise your gunpla just like us, yours perform even better than what we could have imagined!" The Pure Legend pilot said to Team 1.
"Yeah! Normally I would be pissed off if I lost. But seeing that you guys defeat us greatly, I wouldn't have much to say other than I'm impressed." The Sapphire Arche pilot said to them as well.
"In any case, it's great to go against you all." The Sword Destiny pilot said while still shaking Rei's hands. "That being said, where's the Astaroth pilot?"
"Dunno. He just left all of a sudden." The one who answered him is Mido.
"I see…" The man muttered. "Before we parted away, can I tell you something, RE1-san?"
"Oh, what is it?"
"Did you happen to use an inverted colour Astray Red Frame with a Flight Unit and an inverted colour Caletvwlch in the past?"
"Um… Yes. What's with that?"
"Oh! If that's the case, then this is you, right?"
A window appears on the air, showing a footage of an inverted colour Astray Red Frame (Flight Unit) with a head of BuCUE on its right arm and Caletvwlch Inversion FDM G-Mode and standard Astray Shield on the left arm, fighting a Destroy Gundam alone.
"Oh, it's from a few months ago…" Rei thought to himself. "Yep, that's me."
"I thought so too when I saw your Caletvwlch. The fact that you are the first one to defeat the Destroy Gundam the quickest and without receiving any damage is an incredible feat!" The Sword Destiny pilot said to him.
"Awesome… He only defeated it with a simple Red Frame? That's unbelievable." The Sapphire Arche pilot said as he watched the footage.
"Don't you see he has that Caletvwlch? That weapon is scary…" The Reginlaze Maria pilot muttered.
"I didn't know there's an event like this." Mido said.
"Me too." Villian said as well.
"It's a Create Mission by a Cosmic Era enthusiast. The rewards for the mission are 10,000,000 Build Points and some Cosmic Era Gunpla Data, Pack Data and Weapon Data that is rare and hasn't been released publicly yet." Rosa explained.
"You sure know a lot about it, Rosa-chi. Did you participate in the mission?" Mido asked her.
"I did, and well… Let's say I managed to scratch it before my gunpla was shredded to pieces. If this is GPD, I would cried knowing that the gunpla I spent hours taking care off would he destroyed in a matter of minutes."
"It's good that this is GBN, where our gunpla is totally virtual and doesn't destroy IRL."
"Did you forget about the Mass Diver incident? I heard that it was started because someone didn't like the GBN." Rei said to her.
"Is that true?" Mido went closer to him. "Where did you hear it?"
"Just some forum online."
"Ehem." Both of them turned around and saw Villian crossing his arms. "Don't start up some rumours when you don't know if they're valid or not."
"Yep, sorry about that." Rei apologized.
"In any case," Rei turned around to face the Sword Destiny pilot. "I have an offer to make with you, RE1-san. Would you like to join my Force."
"Your Force?"
"Well, it's not my Force as my friend is the leader but I'm a founding member of the Force. It's called 'Seed Coordinator'. We are a Force that specializes in Cosmic Era gunplas. You could say that we are Cosmic Era fanboys. And since you used a Cosmic Era kit and don't seem to be in a Force as of now, would you like to join my Force."
"Sorry, I'm rejecting your offer. It's not like I don't want to be in a Force, but I would rather create my own Force than joining one. You know what I mean, right?"
"Yep, I totally get that."
"However, we can add each other as friends. Considering my Cosmic Era Pack Data and Weapon Data are incomplete, I thought it would be great to have a friend who is related to Cosmic Era kits."
"Really?! Let's do that now!"
Both of them then become friends with each other. Then, the Sword Destiny pilot gave his Force Nest location to Rei if he wanted to meet them face to face.
"Well then, I have a lot of things to attend to. Let's battle again in the future!"
"Okay!"
The Sword Destiny pilot then teleported away.
"Wow, I didn't think you're popular, Rei." Villian said to him.
"Yeah. Didn't think that you're a hotshot in the Cosmic Era community. If you can be a hotshot, then why can't I be a hotshot in the Anno Domini community…" Mido then started sulking.
"I'm surprised that I didn't recognise you instantly, considering you're one of the top A rank Cosmic Era MS users." Rosa said to him. "Well, most of the time I didn't log in that much. That's probably why I seldom remember things."
"Well, you guys praise me too much. I'm just a normal Diver, that's all." Rei casually said.
"If you're Pinocchio, your nose will extend right now…" Mido said to him.
"Whatever… Do you guys want to add me as a friend?"
"A single friend of mine isn't anything biggies, so yeah. I can do that. In fact, how about we all become friends?" Mido sends an invitation to the three of them.
"Well… From the last battle, you guys seemed capable. So… I didn't mind being friends with you guys." Villian sends the invitation towards them.
"I didn't have many friends here. I guess that I can add some friends, especially A ranks." Rosa sends her invitation to them as well.
All of them accepted the friend request.
"Great! And let's see the time…" Rei said as he watched the digital clock. "Ah, crap…"
"Hmm? What's wrong?" Villian asked him.
"I'm late!"
"'I'm late' for what?" Mido asked.
"I'm late!"
"He repeated that twice now…" Rosa said.
"Sorry, I have to log out now! Bye!" Rei quickly opened his windows and logged out.
IRL, Rei's Room
"Oh no, I'm late, I'm late!" Rei removed his visor and put it on the table. He then stored his gunpla into the leather case and put it on the table as well.
The brown haired man then stood up and went downstairs for dinner with his mother and little sister.
Night time
Luckily, he's just in time for dinner. So everything is great and going well.
"Alright, I'm going to decide what the next build will be. Should I go for the Astray Red Dragon? The Load Astray Ω? Or the Turn Red? Or maybe I should switch to IBO or 00 for my next build? I've been ignoring them for a while. Or just go with the classic UC? Welp, I have a lot of time to think about it!"
He then turned on his tablet to start looking for reference, deciding to use custom colours or inverted colours, and what weapons were best for the kid.
Next Morning
" Zzz*" Rei peacefully sleeping on his bed with his tablet on the side of the pillow.
Bam*
Suddenly, a person breaks into his room.
"Rei, wake up!" It was his mother.
"Hmm… Just a few minutes…" He weakly replied.
"You're late for school! Rena has already gone to school, you know?!"
"Hmm… Can't I just skip school for today…? I'm tired from the trip that we went on yesterday…"
"I see… Well then, in exchange of you skipping school today, I would throw out three of your-"
"Why didn't you wake me up earlier? Thank goodness I'm not that late for school. I could arrive before the prefect closed the gates." Instantly, Rei instantly wore his school uniform.
"Is this what they call three times the speed? Gundam fans are weird. I wonder how I will get married to your father…" His mother muttered.
"Mom, I can hear that loud and clear, you know?"
"Haha, Don't worry about it, dear. I'm just joking around."
"Mom, you make that kind of joke a lot ever since I built my first gunpla."
"Is that so? Well then, I have something else to do. I already packed your bento downstairs. Have fun at school…" His mother then swiftly left his room at three times the speed.
" Sigh* She's the mom I know alright. I guess I should go to school now."
Rei picked up his tablet on the bed and leather pencil case on the table and put it inside his bag. He left his room and went downstairs to pick up his bento and leave the house for school.
Highschool
With the power of three times the speed, Rei arrived at the school 10 minutes before the gates were closed.
By the power of three times the speed, it's just that Rei rides a red scooter and parks it at his mother friend's house, which is close to the school. Since he can't park the scooter inside the school and is a few months younger to get a licence, he decided to just park at his mother friend's house.
"Alright, I already chose what gunpla I'm going to build next. And it's much simpler, but I hope it will be much stronger than Assault Jacket. Maybe I should update the Drive System and Module System to the next level. And it would take around a month or two for it to be completed… Welp, I'm gonna make sure that all that time spent will be worth it."
Rei then went into his class, which is 4-A. And as expected, he's the last one to arrive in the class. And no one's bothered with it.
He slowly walked towards his seat, which he dubbed the protagonist seat, as the seat is always sitted by anime protagonists.
He then walked past the second smart student in this school who's in the same line of seat with him, Teku Kitora. He has Blonde hair and blue eyes. And it seems like he's pissed from reason. But it's not Rei's business to pry into his life.
After that, he passed the gyaru who sits in front of him, Midohira Honjou. She has light green hair and eyes. Not only that, she is the second most popular 2nd year student this year due to her cheerfulness towards others. But it's not like she ever spoke to him.
As Rei put the bento under his table and his back to the side of his table which has a hanger. He brings out the first subject textbook and his table. Then, he peeked to the side, where there was a beautiful, aloof girl with pink hair and eyes.
Her name is Rousa Hanaki, the most popular girl and the one who get the highest score in the last exam. She comes from a wealthy and high class family. Due to her beauty and aloofness, she's both popular with boys and girls. And she didn't speak much. Rei suspected that she's like K*mi-san, where she has social anxiety. But she can speak normally to others, so that wouldn't be the case.
Anywho, the beautiful chick next to him isn't as important as the new gunpla he's about to build. He sneakily opened the draft that he made last night to type in the gunpla model number and name.
"Hmm… Since this is a big project, it should have long names that people are tired of repeating it so many times… I think that I just cracked the code."
Rei type in the gunpla model number and name.

Villian drinks a glass of cold iced tea.
"Drinking ice drinks in the morning is bad for you, you know, Villian-chan?" Magee, one of the top Divers in GBN said to the boy.
"It's not like it's going to affect me. I don't have a physical body after all. Besides, this is GBN. Even if I have a physical body like you, nothing bad would have happened to me." He replied. "Also, what are you doing here early in the morning, Magee-san?"
"Just checking the daily rewards. Then I'm going to continue my work after this." Magee answered. "Oh, and I noticed that you had a team battle yesterday evening. That's rare for you, since you only do Solo Mission."
"Well, I suppose I need a change too."
"Ara, doesn't that mean you had decided to find a guardian?"
"Yeah… I can't always depend on Koichi-san and Tsukasa-san to take care of me. They all have their work too."
"I see. So, have you found a suitable guardian?" Magee asked.
"Maybe, just maybe…" Villian said as he looked at his friends list.
