The Finals part 2: Toying with Your Motions
(Narrator) "The Pokemon World Coronation Series finals! A fierce battle unfolds in Galar as our hero Ash Ketchum faces off against the undefeated Monarch Leon for his title. Both competitors have already lost 1 Pokemon each, but Ash finds himself under pressure as he has lost his Gigantamax Pokemon early to Leon's overwhelming power, can he push through Leon's blockade?
Ash takes a deep breath as the chorus of cheers in the stadium drowns out his rapid heartbeat. Who could blame him? He's going head to head against Leon in the biggest match of his life. It was embarrassing enough losing his Gengar right after he scored the first win in the match, he had to put on a good show or else those cheers would turn into jeers. His friend's in the stands, Dawn and Chloe, were thinking the same thing.
"He's under a lot of pressure." Chloe says concerned before being startled as Dawn jumps up from her seat with Piplup.
"YOU CAN DO IT ASH, KNOCK HIM DOWN!" Dawn cheered while fist pumping as Piplup waives its pomp pomp's.
"PIP PIP PIPLUP!" He cheers.
Ash eyes his opponent's Inteleon, remembering that counter shield from before.
"I doubt Pikachu's thunderbolt or Dragonite's hurricane could pierce that torrent….. maybe?" Ash ponders before his eyes widen as he gets and idea and grabs a Pokeball.
"It's all on you Lucario! I choose you!" Ash yells enthusiastically as he throws the ball. We see an image of Lucario high fiving Gengar as it passes it's spirit by. Lucario comes out wearing a blue choker necklace on its neck, it's mega stone attached in front.
"It's wearing the necklace I made!" Dawn cheered as her eyes glistened from the crowd. Leon eyes the mega stone on it as his eyes narrow.
"Brace yourself Inteleon! Here it comes!" Leon yells to the water lizard.
"Huh? What's coming?" Hop asks confused in the stand, but Sonia's eyes narrowed as she eyes the stone on Lucario.
"Something bad for Leon." She eerily said.
"Lets go Lucario!" Ash says as he flaunts his keystone glove. Lucario growls as its eyes narrow and it leans forward.
"Our bond of friendship…MEGA EVOLVE!" Ash yells followed by Lucario's as he presses the keystone and it resonates with Lucario's mega stone. Lucario is enveloped in a bright light and mega evolves.

(Announcer) Contestant Ash follows his Gigantamax with Mega Evolution!" He yells while in Kalos's Shalour Gym Bea, Gurkinn, Korrina and her Lucario watch intensely.
Ash's mega Lucario glows a blue aura as it roars and unleashes a burst of air as it does, enveloping the stadium and blowing away Dan and his Aegislash a bit. Team Rockets hair's blow back as they feel the force.
"Whoa! Aura!" Jessie yells excited as Meowth hangs on to a beam for dear life and James winces from the force.
"(thinking) Lets attack quick before they can use counter shield….Bullet Punch!" Ash then cries out.
"Inteleon use your tail!" Leon yells as Mega Lucario lunges for Inteleon, as its hands glow white, who crouches down and whips its tail forwards and snags its enemies glowing hands to Lucario and Ash's shock.
"What's this?! Leon's Inteleon has caught Ash's Lucario with its large whip-like tail!" The announcer cries lucario's hands cease glowing.
"Snipe Shot!" Leon orders as Inteleon points at Lucario's waist, firing blasts of water and making it wince in pain.
"It's taking a lot of damage." Chloe wimpers.
"Ash! Get lucario out of there!" Dawn yells.
"Lucario! Use Reversal!" Ash hollers and Lucario growls. It's body is enveloped in a stream of orange fire as it's feet glow and it delivers and uppercut kick to Inteleon's Jaw, releasing Lucario's hands and staggering the water Lizard.
"That's the way Lucario, use Aura Sphere!" Ash orders and Lucario clasps its hands near each other and charges a sphere.
"Inteleon, spin and use Aqua Jet!" Leon orders as inteleon does so, creating a water tornado that pounds Mega Lucario.
"Lucario! Focus your Aura on a weak spot and fire!" Ash commands and Lucario huffs a bit, catching its breath above the water blasting its face and torso. It closes it's eyes and glows a faint blue color to Leon's shock. Lucario soon envisions Inteleon spinning in the water funnel, spotting a weak spot in a lower right corner as it open's its eyes determined.
"There, now fire!" Ash hollers and Mega Lucario complies, passing the water streams as Aura sphere sneaks into the funnel and blasts Inteleon and sends it flying and crashing onto it's back, it's eyes going blank from the impact.
"Inteleon!" Leon cries worried.
"Aura Sphere hits! Mega Lucario has broken the water barrier!" The announcer cries as Dan fly's forward to inspect Inteleon lying on the ground.
"INTELEON IS UNABLE TO BATTLE!" Dan cries as Inteleon's image on the battle board goes grey. The stadium erupts in chorus, all except Hop who weeps comically and bites into a handkerchief.
"Alright! We did it Lucario just as I planned!" Ash cheers with Pikachu.
"Pika!
Mega Lucario is sweating a bit and takes a few deep breaths, obviously tired, but fist pumps and growls in determination.
Leon takes out a pokeball and returns Inteleon.
"Great job Ash! You surprised me again, now it's this guys turn to return the favor." Leon yells as he throws his next ball, summoning Dragapult.
"Lucario charge in!" Ash orders as Mega Lucario runs towards the dragon.

"Now follow up with Bullet Punch!" Ash hollers and Mega Lucario jumps as it attempts to punch Dragapult with glowing fists before it flies away, but Lucario jumps again, catching it in midair and unleashing a barrage of Bullet Punches and smacking it unto the ground.
Suddenly Lucario shivers as shadowy energy leaks from its body to Ash's horror.
"Shoot!" Ash cries and Leon grins.
"Yup, your not the only one with Cursed Body, now use Flamethrower!" Leon hollers as the dragon breathes as stream of fire that blasts the shaken Mega Lucario.
"Lucario use Bone Rush!" Ash worryingly calls, Lucario then summons two blue bones made of its aura energy and twirls them from within the flames, blowing the stream away but it breathes heavily.
"Not good, Lucario needs a break." Ash thinks as he takes out a ball. "Lucario return." Ash says as he returns Lucario to its ball and pulls out a different one.
"It's your turn Dracovish, I choose you!" Ash yells and summons it.
"Contestant Ash has now chosen Dracovish, we now have a battle of Galarian Dragons!" The announcer cheers.
"Use dragon rush!" Ash orders as Dracovish charges towards Dragapult in a stream of blue dragon shaped energy.
"Dragon Darts Now!" Leon orders as Dragapult sends its two dreepy's in its launchers towards Dracovish covered by a wave of orange energy. One smacks into Dracovish's torso, stopping the dragon rush and making it sit on its butt. The other is soon bitten as Dracovish eyes it's flashy colors excited to everyone's surprise. Soon Dracovish's buddy shivers as it releases the Dreepy and roars.
"What's wrong Dracovish…. Whoa!" Ash asks before recoiling as Dracovish's spikes on its torso start glowing red and extend, forming pillars of red glowing spikes.
"What's this!? Dracovish's body has begun changing, I've never seen anything like this!" The announcer yells. Leon grits his teeth in worry.
"Dragapult! Don't let them recover. Use Thunderbolt!" Leon hollers as Dragapult unleashes a stream of electricity that shocks Dracovish, making it stagger and lower its spikes a bit.
"And Ash's Dracovish was doing something new, how lame!" Dawn whines.
"Now's our chance Dragapult, charge in!" Leon hollers as the dragon flies towards its unbalanced adversary… before being ensnared in those red spikes and being squeezed tight to its agony and everyone's shock.
"And Dragapult's been snagged! What will Leon do now!" The announcer yells.

"I'll tell you what IM going to do, win. Dracovish, use Fiscious Rend!" Ash yells as Dracovish's lower jaw glows blue and it bites down on Dragapults head to its annoyance.
"Now use Ice Fang!" Ash yells, encasing Dragapult in Ice that starts to cover its body, dealing massive damage as the announcer explains due to its strong jaw ability.
"Great job Ash, but your underestimating my Dragapult." Leon praises ominously to Ash's worry.
"Dragapult, use Dragon Tail!" Leon yells as Dragapult's tail glows green and whips Dracovish in the face, enveloping it in red energy and sending it back into Ash's Pokeball to his shock as Dragonite is forcefully summoned out.
"Dragonite!?" He yells to the confused Dragon Pokemon flapping its wings unprepared for being called out.
"What just happened?" Chloe asks confused.
"Dragon tail! A move that forces the opponent back to its Pokeball and summons a different pokemon to battle, which has helped free Dracovish from it's ice jaw prison! What will ash and his Dragonite do now?" The announcer yells, making Ash groan annoyed.

"I said it before and I'll say it again, win! Dragonite use Dragon dance!" Ash commands as Dragonite spins her body in a wave of wind that raises its attack and speed.
"Dragapult, use Dragon Darts!" Leon orders as the dreepy's are blasted at the spinning dragonite, whose body merely deflects their head-butting.
"Use Dragon Claw!" Ash orders as Dragonites claws glow green energy in the shape of claws that she tries to use to slash at the Dreepy's, but they float around her to her irritation.
"Darn! Those Dreepy's make it like I'm fighting 3 vs 1!" Ash thought annoyed as he gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. His annoyance wasn't unnoticed.
"Leon's truly setting the pace for this battle isn't he?" Cynthia comments from the luxury box and Diantha nods in agreement.
"Yes, Ash may have more Pokemon, but that won't last long if he and his Dragonite lose their cool and let Leon do as he pleases." Diantha says concerned.
Dragonite throws a tantrum fuming as the Dreepy's pull it near Dragapult as it vainly tries to slash them. Ash sees this and is about to call out to Dragonite, before a cry from Leon beats him to the punch.
"Dragon tail!" He yells. Ash winces.
"NO! Not again!" He thinks as the tail on Dragapult whips Dragonite on the forehead, damaging it and sending it back to Ash as Lucario is called from his waist to the Aura Pokemon's confusion.
"Now use Flamethrower!" Leon hollers, Ash is startled out of his stupor in time to call.
"Lucario! Bone Rush again!" He yells and Lucario once more twirls blue energy bones to block the fire and blow it away.
"Nice job Lucario! Now Bullet Punch!" Ash orders and Lucario smacks Dragapult a bunch of times in the face, before a final punch hits it hard and sends it somersaulting backwards towards Leon and shaking its head.
"Use Thunderbolt!" He orders as it charges up electricity on its body.
"Use Reversal!" Ash yells, Lucario glows orange as it punches the electricity near Dragapult, seemingly blocking the move and forcing both back.
"Great job! Now Bullet Punch once more!" Ash yells enthusiastically. Mega Lucario is about to lunge again but stops as it grits its teeth and shivers, tiny jolts of electricity seeping from its fur. Ash's eyes widen in terror as he realizes what's happened and Leon grins.
"Oh no! It's paralyzed!" Ash yells worried, knowing the added effect of thunderbolt, but why did it have to happen now? And to his mega evolved one at that?
"Guess lucks not on your side today Ash. Use Flamethrower!" As soon as Ash heard Leon say that he frantically searched his belt for Lucario's pokeball and summons a red beam from it.
"Lucario return quick!" Ash hollers as Dragapult blows a stream of fire from its mouth towards the shaken Lucario, but it only singes the ground beneath it as Ash makes it in time to recall to his and Dawn and Chloes mons relief.
"Oh thank goodness!" Dawn exhales as Piplup nods and falls onto her lap exhausted from the excitement.
"Yeah, he almost lost Lucario." Chloe sighs in confirmation as she pets Eevee.
Ash takes deep breaths, his heart was racing again. He felt butterflies in his stomach as he struggled to keep himself standing. The pressure was growing almost too intense for him to handle.
"So this is what it's like to battle in the Masters 8 finals." Ash said quietly. He eyed the crowd cheering, all eyes on him and Leon, it was honestly nerve wrecking, but also a bit exciting and only served to make his heart skip faster as he sniffed up a large inhale and exhale to calm himself.
"Okay, we got to beat that Dragon Tail, so I can't get close or else it or Curse Body are going to screw us up again." Ash thought. "Well… I have just the girl to do it, LETS GO DRAGONITE!" Ash hollers as he summons her and she cries joyfully in the air.
"Ash has called Dragonite again! We once more have a battle of Dragons, the Kanto's ace Dragon vs The Galar region's Ace Dragon!" The announcer yells as the two Psuedo-legendary Pokemon stare each other down.

"Dragonite Hurricane!" Ash yells as Dragonite roars and flaps its wings, staggering its enemy as it struggles to fly in the torrent of air whipping it around.
"Dragapult! Use a volley of Thunderbolts!" Leon yells as Dragapult cries and frantically unleashes the streams of thunderbolts rapid fire in random directions, the force breaking up the Hurricane winds and one even shocking Dragonite.
"And Leon manages to destroy the Hurricane!" The announcer yells.
"You go big bro!" Hop cheers from the stands.
"Yeah, well he won't break this. Use Draco Meteor!" Ash orders as Dragonite screams and sends a purple orb of energy into the sky that explodes, summoning red rocks covered by streams of purple fire towards Dragapult.
"Use Dragon Darts!" Leon orders as the two Dreepy's are blasted towards Dragonite, only to be smacked down and fall down in smoke from two of those meteors.
"Quick Dragapult! Fly towards Dragonite!" Leon hollers. But as Leon looks up at Dragonite, he fails to notice Ash's grin, having wanted the pokemon to get close to his for this.
"Dragonite! Grab hold of Dragapult!" He yells and Dragonite nods.
"Thunderbolt!" Leon orders as Dragapult charges electricity that shocks Dragonite as she hugs it, but she shakes her head and ignores the damage before diving towards the ground spinning with Dragapult.
"Alright, use Dragonite Meteor!" Ash hollers enthusiastically.
"Dragonite Meteor!?" Leon asks bewildered.
"Dragonite became the Meteor?!" Hop asks dumbfounded as is Sonia and Chloe while Dawn just fist bumps the air enthusiastically.
"GO! GO! GO! PIP PIP PIPLUP!" She and Piplup cheer.
Dragonite crashes into the ground with Dragapult as meteors envelope the arena and create a huge smoke cloud. Ash and Leon eye two shadowy figures in the cloud as it slowly dissipates. Ash grins and Leon gasps in shock as Dragonite is standing, breathing heavy but alright while Dragapult and its dreepy's are lying on the ground, swirls in their eyes.
"DRAGAPULT, IS UNABLE TO BATTLE!" Dan yells to the crowd who cheer as Dragapult's icon on the battleboard goes grey, indicating its defeat.

"Despite the trickiness of Dragon Tail, the Alola champion has finally brought down Dragapult, putting Ash ahead of Leon 5 to 3 Amazing!" The announcer cheers. Leon returns his pokemon to its ball as he sees ash sighing in relief.
"ASH!" He hollers gathering the boy and Pikachu's attention.
"That was indeed amazing! But the announcer is wrong when he says you're in the lead." Leon says with smirk, giving Ash a nervous sweat.
"W-What's that mean?" Ash asks fearful.
"You know what. Notice how all your Pokemon are getting worn down?" Leon asks cocky.
We see an image of Dragonite riddled with dust and scratches, Sirfetch'd standing firm with its weapons but breathing hard, Dracovish bearing its jaw wide open with scratches on him, Mega Lucario wincing with electricity and burn marks on it, and Pikachu wincing with one eye closed.
Ash groans as he internally acknowledges this.
"What's worse, all of Leon's Pokemon left haven't taken a hit yet." Ash thought. Leon smirks as he thought the same and takes out another ball.
"Lets go! Rillaboom!" He yells, summoning the drummer pokemon who roars and summons two wooden drumsticks from its grass bushes on its hands and beats its drum furiously, making Dragonite recoil nervously as do Ash and Pikachu.
(Narrator)
Ash has managed to get the lead over Leon. But with all his pokemon, including his Mega Lucario exhausted, can he hope to defeat Leon's remaining Pokemon at full strength? Stay tune to find out as the Journey continues.
