Charlotte's POV

I slid into my seat in homeroom as the bell rang, opening my textbook to the chapter we'd been studying. I was so going to bomb this midterm.

"Dork." A jock I didn't care to know the name of taunted me, pointing me out to his buddies.

"Tool." I said back without looking up, God forbid I wanted to pass. Unlike those jerks I was going to make my way into college on my own, I didn't need a hall pass. I was Charlotte Cassadine Spencer, I would always pave my own way.

"I see someone is doing it right." My teacher Mrs. Gilmore smiles softly, Sasha used to go steady with my cousin Michael I'd always liked her.

"Good morning, Mrs. Gilmore." I returned her smile, the self proclaimed tool rolled his eyes grabbing a seat. Before she could respond we heard a loud POP coming from the doorway, a masked man with a pistol grinned at Sasha's shocked face.

"Ready to have some fun?" I could tell he was smirking from his tone, as he fired three shots. I immediately ducked under my desk, grabbing my keys on the way down. It wouldn't do much but, it was better than nothing.

Georgie's POV

I stood at my locker talking to my friend Scout, she was so boy crazy.

"I'll stay at home this weekend, thank you. You know I never go anywhere without my love." I gave her a knowing look as I shut my locker.

"Ugh, what is with you and Charlotte? The Morgan boys clearly have you in a chokehold, only God knows why. If I see Charlotte and Danny make out one more time, I'm literally going to lose my shit." Scout complained as they started walking to class, they heard a loud POP and the glass door in the hallway shattered into a million pieces followed by three more shots. Georgie fell one way while Scout fell the other way, Georgie couldn't find her friend through all the chaos and the screaming.

"What's that?" Georgie felt a numbing sensation fall over her body, as she forced herself to stand up. Lifting her leg up she found that a bullet was right in her leg, crimson blood ruined the leg of her jeans.

"Ugh, these were Gucci! Alright Georgie, nobody's gonna care about your designer jeans if your dead, I've gotta find somewhere safe." Georgie forces herself to shakily stand up trying to keep her head up as she limped up the stairs, creeping into the library and hiding behind a bookshelf.

Danny's POV

Chaos had enthused the school as my brother Jake and I searched the janitors closet for weapons, I pulled out a bat and Jake pulled out a crowbar.

"See you in the other side, brother." Jake nodded, deciding to take upstairs.

"See you on the other side." I nodded back, going to Mrs. Gilmore's classroom. I had to try to get Charlotte out of there, I hoped she wasn't hurt.

"You, give me that bat!" The assailant yelled, pointing his gun at Charlotte who was frozen with fear.

"Only if you stop pointing the gun at her." I gripped the bar tighter, knowing I'd probably get myself shot.

"Fine, for now." He obliged and I handed my bat over, knowing we were in trouble. I rushed over to my girlfriend, hugging her to my chest.

"Don't get to comfortable, Hero."

Jake's POV

I had no idea where Georgie could be but, something told me to creep into the library. It was quiet, too damn quiet. I heard a soft whimper, I made my way over to the first bookcase my eyes landing on my girlfriend. Her designer jeans were soaked with blood, her face twisted with pain.

"Hey, hey...it's just me." I sighed, knowing I'd frightened her. I unfastened my belt from my jeans, tying it around her leg to hopefully lesten the bleeding.

"It hurts so bad...I don't think I can walk." She whispered, everything felt heavy. Georgie just wanted to go to bed and wake up from this nightmare.

"I'm getting you out of here." Jake picked her up bridal style, creeping out of the library.

Scout's POV

I had lost Georgie during the chaos, I was freaking out.

"Aiden? Aiden?" I repeated running into the gymnasium where the few students were gathered that had managed to escape injury, he turned around and ran over to hug me.

"Scout, thank God your okay!" Aiden pulls back to look at, noting the fear in her eyes.

"I lost Georgie...I hope she's not hurt. Oh God, I should have looked harder. What if she needs me?" Scout sobbed in his arms, Aiden's arms tightened around her as he hugged her.

"Scout, everything will be okay. Georgie wouldn't want you blaming yourself, we'll find her. I saw Danny go into Mrs. Gilmore's class, I'm worried about Charlotte." Aiden looked into her eyes, wanting to put her at ease.

"You're right, you're right. Oh no, this isn't good. Our parents are all probably worried sick. Today was supposed to be thanksgiving break." Scout put a hand to her head, she needed to lay down.

"We need some help over here!" Jake Spencer shouted, carrying a bloodied Georgie into the gymnasium running over to the principal.

"There's an ambulance right outside." The older woman was rightfully flustered, pointing outside. Jake walked to the ambulance, loading her inside.

'How many others will there be?" Scout looked at him, shook to their very core.

Danny's POV

As soon as I let Charlotte go the assailant shot her in the back, she let out a gasp of pain before dropping to her knees in front of me.

"You said you wouldn't fucking shot her you dickhead!" I yelled at him, just as somebody burst through the door.

"Get down on the ground, you're under arrest you sick fuck." Dante Falconeri burst through the door, shooting their assailant once and he fell to the floor as Nathan West cuffed him.

"Charlotte!" Lucky Spencer rushed over to her, helping her to stand.

"Uncle lucky?" She asked, trying to keep her eyes open.

"Come on, everyone to the gym. Everyone's safe now."

Both Georgie and Charlotte made recoveries, Georgie was on crutches for three months and Charlotte was in a wheelchair for the same amount of time, their families thanked God that their thanksgiving hadn't turned out alternatively.
