A/n: I wrote this with babycomeback24 in mind, because I know Lucky Spencer is one of her favorite characters! I hope you enjoy it!

Lucky's POV

Ever since I'd come back to town Nikolas had been a big grump, what I couldn't understand was why. Nikolas was married to a woman who was crazy about him, Spencer and the new baby were thriving and their sister had just woken up from her coma. This Christmas should be all about counting their blessings but, instead he just bit everyone's head off. Emily was probably turning over in her grave Right now, if ghosts did exist Emily better set him straight sooner rather than later. Lucky would be damned if his brother ruined his first Christmas back home in at least a decade. Lucky pushed his way into Kelly's, seeing his niece behind the counter. Lucky hadn't known Charlotte long but, ever since the shooting at the high school Lucky had felt a duty to take care of her and help her with what she needed.

"Hey Lottie." Lucky calls out to her with a smile, even though she was now out of her wheelchair she was still relearning how to walk. Charlotte was currently on crutches , not all of the feeling had returned to her legs yet so she stumbled slightly when she walked.

"Lottie...I like that. Maybe I'll start telling people to call me that." Charlotte's crystal blue eyes shone as she smiled.

"I'm glad I could brighten your day. Gosh, you are Lulu's twin. It's crazy." Lucky was still shocked how much she looked like his sister.

"That's what they tell me! What can I get for you, Uncle Lucky?" Charlotte leans against the counter.

"I'm taking Jake and Aiden to look at Christmas lights this evening and I was wondering if you wanted to come along." Lucky knew that she didn't get out much, Danny had said that she had grown very depressed since the shooting. Who could blame her?

"That would be so fun! I wish I didn't have to work." Charlotte frowned, depression settling in.

"You go and have fun, you're only young once. I'll cover your shift, I'm old anyway. I'm not doing anything." Carly Corinthos spoke up, ever since Aunt Bobbie's death Carly had been running Kelly's.

"Are you sure?" Charlotte asked.

"Of course I am! Go have fun, honey!" Carly waved her hand, dismissively. When Charlotte went back to get her coat, I turned to my cousin.

"Thank you." I didn't think much of Carly but, she'd always been good to my sister. Well, except for the whole Brooklyn thing but that was so long ago.

"I should be thanking you, you're the only one that's been getting her out of the house. Charlotte really has fun spending time with you, I hope you plan to stay in town for awhile." Carly gives him a warm smile.

"I need to get to know my nephew and niece, my sister needs me to help her get back on her feet. Lulu's awake and functioning but, she still needs help because she's been out of it for two years. I'm not leaving my little sister to fend for herself. I know she's got family but, I need to take care of her. Dad's dead, I'm the man of the family now. Dante sure as hell didn't step up to help her, all he's doing is forking our cousin. You...have always taken care of Lulu when I was busy with my bullshit, I can't thank you enough for that. I promised my parents the day Lulu was born that I would always take care of her, I'm never breaking that promise. My family means everything to me, it took me awhile to remember that but I'm back now. I'm not leaving." Lucky didn't know that Charlotte had been listening to him but, she had. A small smile crept up on her face, Lucky Spencer was a good man.

"I love my cousin despite what I put her through when Dante was shot and Michael went to prison, I didn't want to believe I'd made the mistake of trusting Sonny. I shouldn't have ever made AJ sign away his rights but, that's a story for another time. I think it's wonderful that your taking care of Lulu and Charlotte. I worried about how she would react when she found out Luke died but, you being here makes all the difference. You're a good man, Lucky." Carly gives him an unexpected hug, Lucky was shocked but returned it.

"Thank you." Lucky says, not knowing what else to say. Despite the past with Carly he really did appreciate what she had said.

"Are you ready?" Lucky noticed Charlotte hobbling towards them, her coat slung onto her shoulders.

"As I'll ever be! Thank you again, Aunt Carly." She smiled brightly.

"You're welcome sweetheart, do you need some help with your coat?" Carly gently smiles, earning a slight chuckle from Charlotte.

"Please. I really tried but, my back is just killing me." Charlotte smiled, greatful.

"No problem, sweetie." Carly guided the fabric over her arms, adjusting it properly. Lucky held the door for Charlotte and they got into his car.

"How's mom doing today?" Charlotte asked, buckling herself in.

"Oh, she's doing good actually. She wanted to come out but, she was feeling really tired. It took Grandma Laura a long time to get back to normal too, when she woke up from her coma. Lulu's doing good for what she's been through. You know?" Lucky pulled into Elizabeth's driveway.

"I understand, I don't care if she needs extra help. I'm just glad to have her back, it's been a long two years." Charlotte spoke the truth, things had been rough. They saw a car pull up beside them and roll down their window, it was Cameron getting home from college.

"Hey dad!" Cameron got out of his car, happy to see the man who had raised him.

"Hey Cameron, how was school?" Lucky didn't get to see his oldest son often, he was proud of Cameron. He had stepped up to take care of Elizabeth and the boys when Elizabeth fell apart after Franco's death.

"It was okay. What are you guys up to?" Cameron waved at his cousin.

"We're going to look at Christmas lights, I'm just waiting on the boys. You're welcome to come along, if your not doing anything." It was rare that the three boys were even in the same room these days.

"I'd love to, I'll go get the knuckleheads." Cameron jogged up the sidewalk, going inside to get Jake and Aiden. A few minutes later the three boys piled into the back, and they went for hot chocolate and to watch Christmas lights. It was just the escape they all needed.
