Lulu's POV
I was done with his lies, Dante Falconeri was a smooth talker which made him dangerous. I liked to think that I knew my boyfriend but, clearly I didn't. I'd had multiple people come up to me and tell me that Dante was getting awfully close with Brooklyn. Like father like son, Sonny had never stayed faithful in his life. It was true that my boyfriend's father was also my godfather but, I didn't really have much respect for Sonny. I used to like him a lot, until I realized he was a liar and a hypocrite. I checked my phone after I got out of my last lecture of the day, it was about three in the afternoon Dante had told me that he would pick me up. A quick scan of the parking lot told me that was another lie. I shook my head in disappointment, I'd have to be stupid to continue this relationship. I pulled out my phone, dialing my brother's number.
"Hey sis, what's up?" His thick Australian accent flooded through the other line.
"Dante completely dissed me again. I was wondering if you could come pick me up from college. I'm not about to walk all the way to my apartment in heels, I just won't do it." Lulu really hoped Ethan would pick her up.
"I had a feeling that prick would bail on you, I'm pulling up right now. My baby sister isn't going to walk home in this blustery weather. I wouldn't be a man if I allowed this to happen." Ethan was so mad he could spit, he pulled up to the curb where Lulu was waiting.
"Thank you." Lulu let out a sigh of relief, getting into the passenger side of his black Escalade.
"Of course, you're my sister." Ethan shrugged.
"I don't think I should be with Dante anymore. My whole day is literally ruined by nine am, every morning. If I was single, I would be much better off." Lulu admitted, looking out the window.
"I agree, you don't need that shit. How was school?" Ethan agreed.
"I really don't. School is school, it was fine. What have you been up to?" Lulu turned to face her brother.
"Well, I met someone today -" Ethan started but, Lulu interrupted him.
"Oh yeah?" She winked at him suggestively.
"Not like that, get your head out of the gutter!" Ethan groaned, trying not to laugh.
"My heads never out of the gutter, you should that. Is this person a business associate?" Lulu knew what her brother did and didn't really bat an eye to it, it wasn't really any of her concern.
"Does the name Johnny Zacchara ring any bells with you?" Ethan raised a brow.
"Oh yes, Sonnys been talking about him for weeks. I'm convinced Sonny just wants to fondle his balls or something." Lulu shrugged, like that was a normal thing to say.
"Sis...you kill me. You absolutely kill me." Ethan snickers at her words.
"So, what about Johnny Zacchara? Is he hot? Will I have all the wet dreams when you show me his picture?" Lulu smirked. This kind of talk would make their brother Lucky uncomfortable but, Ethan and Lulu could go back and forth for hours.
"Definitely. After you break up with that loser you call a boyfriend, wanna come to my place for some drinks? Johnny'll be there." Ethan chuckled, pulling into her apartment complex.
"Are you trying to set me up with a mobster?" Lulu bursted out laughing.
"And that would be wrong?" Ethan asked.
"It wouldn't, I could use a little fun. I'll text you when I'm ready, I love you." Lulu leaned over to kiss his cheek before getting out of his car and heading up to her apartment. Lulu placed her bag on the kitchen table, hearing someone in her bedroom.
"Dante?" She called out, knowing it couldn't be anyone else.
"Hey baby, I'm sorry. I know I forgot." Dante's puppy dog eyes were getting old.
"Again. Look Dante, this isn't working out. I want you out of my life, out of my apartment. You obviously want to be with Brooklyn so, go ahead. I'm tired of living this half of a shell life. I'm done with you." Words spilled out of her mouth, she'd had no idea how much she wanted Dante out of her life until this moment.
"Lulu, I know that I've been flaky. Alright? That doesn't mean I want Brooke." Dante was trying his hardest to worm his way back into her life.
" You've been more than flaky, Dante. I've had multiple people come up to me and tell me things about you and Brooke. You do want her, stop lying. I want to be single. There's the door, don't hurt my door on the way out." Lulu crosses her arms, indignantly.
"Fine, if that's the way you want to play it.' Dante mutters knowing he was caught, promptly walking out and shutting the door.
"I have to take a shower if I'm going to meet Johnny Zacchara tonight."
Ethan's POV
I walked into my apartment after dropping Lulu off, I had to clean up if I was going to entertain guests tonight. A lot of people didn't know this about me but, I actually loved to cook and do chores around the house. If my family knew the gay jokes would never cease. I wiped down the counters, the tables and the TV...did the laundry that needed to be done, and washed the dishes. I decided that I was going to make all of us some dinner tonight, Johnny and his associate Carlos Rivera would be coming by along with my sister.
"Lovett." I answered my phone.
"Hey Lovett, this is Johnny." Came the reply.
"Oh, hey mate! Are we still on for tonight?" Johnny and I had gotten quite close in the past few weeks.
"Oh definitely, Carlos was just wondering if he could bring his fiancee Sabrina." Johnny assures him with a laugh.
"Of course, you know I love playing host. My sister Lulu is also coming, I think you two will really like her." Ethan nodded, still unsure what he was going to make.
"I'm looking forward to it." Johnny hung up, Ethan finally decided that spaghetti was the only thing that he had ingredients for so he started boiling the water. About two hours later Johnny, Carlos and Sabrina showed up.
"Is that spaghetti I smell?" Sabrina easily smiled.
"It is, it is. I figured I can't have my guests starve." Ethan smirked, feeling like he'd forgotten to do something.
"Where's your sister?" Johnny asked, he'd been dying to meet the infamous Lulu.
"Oh shit, that's what I forgot to do! My sister's car is in the shop so she can't drive, I gotta go get her. Ugh, I can't believe I forgot her! She's probably pissed!"
Lulu's POV
I'd been waiting outside for at least an hour, when a yellow GT mustang pulled up to the curb.
"Can I help you?" I asked as the driver got out, damn he was sexy!
"You're Lulu, aren't you?" When he spoke it was like I was melting into a puddle.
"Depends on who's asking but, since you're sexy I'll give you a pass. I am. Who are you?" I chuckled at my forwardness.
"Johnny Zacchara." He chuckled, I guess finding me funny? God, I hoped so.
"Oh wow, hi. Ethan forgot me. Didn't he?" I pressed my lips together.
"He did, if it helps he felt really bad about it." Johnny shrugged.
"It's okay, I'm used to it. Ethan just gets caught up sometimes, I understand." I shrugged, getting up from the bench I was sitting on.
"So, you do know that your brother is working for me?" Johnny asked, intrigued.
"Oh I know, I just don't care." She says simply, with a smirk. Her response made Johnny chuckle, they started their drive back to Ethan's apartment.
"He made spaghetti, didn't he?" Lulu drew a glance at Johnny.
"How did you know?" Johnny chuckled in amazement.
"I know my brother, that's all. I'm honestly just surprised I got an invitation. Ethan usually keeps his work pretty quiet." Lulu admits.
"Ethan wanted me to get to know you, actually." Johnny says and, Lulu's mouth dropped open.
"That sneaky bastard!" Lulu gasped, finally regaining her senses.
"You're cute." Johnny chuckled, shaking his head.
"Just wait til you see me in the bedroom."
Ethan's POV
"You told him that I liked him?" Lulu whispers to me in the kitchen, as soon as they got inside.
"Well, don't you?" I asked her.
"Maybe!" She rolled her eyes at me.
"You must be Lulu, I'm Carlos Riviera a friend of your brothers. This is my fiance, Sabrina." Carlos smirks at her, I noticed the way Johnny's eyes never wavered from my sister. They'd be together in no time.
