Hey everyone! I am so sorry that this is so late! This chapter gave me trouble and I was trying to bridge the gap between Dallas and going back to Bon Temps. It was harder than I thought it would be. That and another story has been taking up space in my head. I recently posted a story for Sons of Anarchy called Coming Home. I'm going to give myself two weeks to try and get each chapter out. Hopefully just for this half of the Season 2. I know that I have too many stories but I'm doing my best to work on them. Happy reading everyone! And don't forget to leave a review at the end and let me know what you think!
Chapter 21: New World In My View
I woke up with my back to Eric and his arms around my waist, holding me close. Smiling to myself, I rolled over in his arms to look at him. I still couldn't believe that I was mated, it felt like a dream that I would wake up from. Everything just felt natural with Eric. Being affectionate and touchy was just so easy. When I first met him, I couldn't have known that he could be so affectionate and cuddly. He was always touching me, and I couldn't go very long without being around him.
There was a knock at the door, and I slipped out of bed. I put on a long red satin nightgown that had lace on the top, pulling on a deep red robe over it with lace sleeves. I tied the robe up as I opened the door. It revealed Sookie and Jason on the other side. I smiled at my cousins as I leaned against the door. "Good morning you two," I greeted them. "What's up?"
"Mornin' Teddy," they chorused together.
"We're heading home Teddy," Sookie explained. "Bill made the arrangements last night. I was hoping that you would be coming with us."
I sighed quietly. "I'm sorry Sookie. I have a lot of things that I have to get done here before I can leave. With Willow stepping down, there are several things that need to be transferred over. From making her younger brother into an Alpha to making sure that Willow and Godric have everything they need. I won't be returning home for a little bit."
Sookie and Jason looked sad at that, but Jason came forward to give me a hug anyway. "Take care of yourself Teddy," he said. "We'll be at home when you're ready to come back."
I smiled as I returned the hug. "Thanks Jason. I'll try to only make it one day extra that I'm gone."
"Just try to come back to us," Sookie requested, coming forward to give me a hug as well. "We'll be waiting, and I'll tell Sam what's going on, so no one worries."
"Thank you Sook," I agreed as I hugged her back. "I'll try to be home as soon as possible. But you two take care as well. Get home safe, okay?"
They waved as they went down the hallway to the elevator and I waved back. After they left, I turned back to the room and went to the bed. I glanced down at Eric as he lay motionless in the bed and smiled softly. I sat on the edge and ran my hand through his hair. The memories of the past few days played in my head, and it made me sigh. I would have to let other packs know about me being mated as well. I just hope that my pack will be understanding.
There was also Pam. Eric had told me that she was his progeny and was rather protective of him. I was slightly worried about how she would react to us being mated. I'm sure that Eric could make her like me, but I didn't want that. I actually got along pretty well with Pam, so I actually wanted her to like me.
I shook my head to wipe away those thoughts for now and stood to get dressed for the day. Since it was still rather hot out, I put on a pair of Daisy Duke shorts. I put on a thin, long sleeved, dark maroon shirt with a pair of high heeled ankle boots in the same color. I put half of my hair up and left the rest down and wavy. After putting on some light make up, I left the room with my crossbody bag with all of my things.
*Queen of the Wolves*
"Are you sure that you want to do this?" I asked Willow as we walked up to her pack home.
I had met Willow in the lobby of the hotel, and she drove us to the house. She told me that she had Dante call the whole pack to the house in order to make the announcement. She and Dante discussed about the different things that needed to be done within the pack. Apparently, Deshawn and Sorina had arrived last night from their honeymoon, as they got married legally. While most wolves only got mated and didn't bother, Deshawn and Sorina both wanted to make it legal. That way no one could say anything.
Dante wanted to make Deshawn his second, as Danica made a connection with Nikola. Dancia was also a paralegal and was willing to come to work at Georgette's law firm. Dante understood what his sister wanted and was willing to step up and become Alpha for the pack.
"I'm sure Teddy," Willow confirmed with a fond smile. "Godric wants to show me around the world. I've never been outside of Texas, and I want to see the world." She put a hand on my shoulder, stopping me and giving me a smile. "We are proud to be the ones that take your decision across the pond. Don't be doubting yourself."
"I'm not doubting myself," I pouted. "And I'm not doubting you either, but I want to make sure that you're doing what makes you happy."
"I'm extremely happy," Willow told me. "We really need time to ourselves, and we're thinking of it as our honeymoon."
"So, you'll be coming back?" I asked her, narrowing my eyes.
She nodded at me. "No matter what I want to see, this will always be my home. Eventually, I'll be getting homesick, and I'll want to come home."
I nodded at her with a calculating look. "I have a proposition for you."
Willow looked confused. "What is it?"
"What would you think about coming to Bon Temps and being a part of my personal pack?" I asked her and her confused look turned into shock. "I've always wanted you in my pack, but you were always needed here. I think that you would fit in well with us. Plus, Godric would be close by with Eric being in Shreveport."
She was silent for a moment, just blinking at me. Slowly, a wide grin spread across her face. "I would love to Teddy," she agreed. "Once we come back, we'll start looking for places in Bon Temps."
I nodded at her with a smile. "Now, let's get this done before you have to leave tonight."
We shared a grin and walked into the house to get started with the ceremony. After entering the house, there were wolves all around the house, just speaking to each other. I spotted Deshawn and Leo talking next to the stairs and waved to them when they saw us. They walked over to us and gave us each a hug.
"Sis, I wanted to say that I'm very proud of you," Leo told Willow with his arm around her shoulders. "You're a great Alpha, but you've made sure keep true to yourself. You held true to what you believed in and held your own. I want to wish you and Godric nothing but the best."
"Thank you big brother," Willow thanked him with a grateful smile. "At least I have you and Dante on my side. I just wish Mom and Dad could have been more understanding of all of this."
Willow's face fell and I rubbed her arm in comfort. "They made their choice Will," I told her. "Let's get this done."
They all nodded to me, and Willow called for everyone to go into the large living room to start the ceremony.
*Queen of the Wolves*
That night after the ceremony, Willow and I walked into the hotel lobby to find Godric and Eric waiting for us at the bar. They both stood up to greet us. Eric gave me a hard kiss that made me close my eyes. When we pulled back, I opened my eyes to look into his ocean blue eyes. "Did you miss me?" I teased him.
"Yeah, I did," he replied with a laugh, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulled me close. "I'm still getting used to needing you near me. But I love waking up to see you."
I let out a laugh and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Well, I've got to get used to the same thing, so it's not just you."
"Good," he purred. "I would hate to think that I'm alone in this."
I leaned in and bumped my nose with his. "That's one thing that you'll never have to worry about again. You're not alone anymore."
A throat was cleared, and we both turned to Godric and Willow, who both had wide smiles on their faces. "Sookie was right," Willow commented with a teasing smirk. "You two are incredibly adorable."
I tried to keep the blush that I felt down and rolled my eyes. Lowering my arms, I turned to face the couple next to us, with Eric keeping his arms around my waist. "Do you have everything you need?"
"We have everything Lev, don't worry so much," Godric teased. "We'll let you know how it goes at every pack we meet. There are some places that I would like to take Willow, but they're off the beaten track and a little out of the way. I hope that it will be acceptable?"
I smiled at him and his way of being too formal. No matter what it is, he would always be so formal with me in public. It was only when we were by ourselves that he would relax. "That's no problem, Godric," I assured him. "It's your honeymoon. Please, be sure to enjoy yourselves."
Godric chuckled as he smiled and pulled Willow closer to kiss her temple. Willow snuggled into him with a tender smile on her face.
"Don't forget my offer Willow," I mentioned with a light smirk. Eric and Godric looked at me in confusion while Willow matched my smirk. "Talk it over with your mate and I'll expect your answer when you get back."
"Of course, my Queen," she teased in a mock formal voice and a serious face. She held it for a beat before the both of us broke out in laughter. When we calmed down, Willow pulled away from Godric and pulled him with her. "Well, we have to get our things and get checked out before we have to go to the airport. Thank you again Teddy. We'll see you when we get back."
I nodded at her and pulled away from Eric to give Godric a tight hug. "Call if you need anything deartháir. (brother)"
Godric gave me a squeeze. "I'll remember that deirfiúr. (sister)"
We let go and Godric gave us one last nod before following Willow out of the bar and towards the elevators. Strong arms wrapped themselves around my waist and pulled me back to a solid chest. I laid my hands on his arms and leaned back into him as he buried his face in my neck. Leaning my head back against his shoulder, I let out a breath when I felt his blunt teeth nip at my neck. "Is someone hungry?" I teased.
Eric pulled my hips back, so I could feel the bulge in his jeans against my ass. "I will always be hungry for you," he murmured against my neck.
I pulled away from him and pulled his hand as I walked backwards. "Then we should take this upstairs, and I'll take care of you."
Eric gave me a wicked grin before picking me up and vamping over to the elevators. I giggled at his eagerness.
*Queen of the Wolves*
"What offer were you and Willow talking about?" Eric asked me as we lay in bed. We were both naked under the covers and I was laying on his chest. Eric's arms were wrapped around my waist, holding me to him and tracing patterns along the length of my back.
"I offered for Willow to join my personal pack," I answered simply. "I have always wanted her in my pack as she is the youngest True Alpha in nearly a hundred years. However, she was always needed here. With her stepping down from being the Alpha of Dallas, she would be an Omega if she didn't have a pack to go to when she got back. That, and it would keep Godric close. I have missed his advice these past few years and I could do with having him close by."
"Thank you," he said, looking down at me.
I looked up at him in confusion. "For what? There's no reason to thank me."
"I don't think that I properly expressed my gratitude for helping to save Godric," he told me. "The reality that he wanted to meet the true death was very real and I don't know what I would have done if that ended up happening. You brought him out of whatever dark hole he was in, and that saved his life. So, thank you."
I snuggled into him. "You don't have to thank me, Eric. I was just as invested in saving Godric as you were. When you told Bill that he was missing at the mall, I thought my blood would freeze in my veins. I felt so cold with the thought that he could be gone. Godric always had this saying to describe us. Athair, deartháir, múinteoir. Father, brother, teacher."
I could feel a chuckle rumble in Eric's chest as he laughed, and I looked up with a raised eyebrow in question. "When Godric made me, I was close to death, and he said something similar to me when he described what we would be to each other. Father, brother, son."
I could feel a chuckle rumble in Eric's chest as he laughed, and I looked up with a raised eyebrow in question. "When Godric made me, I was close to death, and he said something similar to me when he described what we would be to each other. Father, brother, son." He then rolled over to face me and cupped my face with one hand. "I want to take you back to Shreveport tonight to tell Pam."
I smiled at him and nodded. "I figured that would be something that you would want to do."
Eric's shoulders dropped in relief. "Pam has stayed by my side since I turned her. She's family."
I reached up to cup his face with my hands. "Then she's my family too." Eric looked confused. "I told you before, if you're mine and I'm yours, then that means everything else as well. If she's your family, then she's mine too."
Eric crashed his lips to mine in a searing kiss. When he pulled back, I looked into his intense blue eyes. "You are absolutely fucking amazing," he whispered.
I gave him a tender smile. "I must warn you, the others in my pack won't be as welcoming. Some of them will be vocally against it, but others will just be welcoming you to the family."
"I can handle that," Eric reassured me. "But, we should get dressed if we're going to get back to Shreveport."
I laughed as he nudged me to get out of bed. I got dressed in a black, long sleeved, lace shirt that was slightly off the shoulder and a pair of dark wash jeans. I tucked those into black heeled boots that came up just under my knees. Over everything, I put on a wine red, double breasted long coat, as Eric warned me it would be a little cold. I was glad that I brought it.
"So, how are we going to get back to Shreveport?" I asked as I finished packing my things back in my suitcases. I turned back to him after zipping it up, only to find him standing right behind me. His eyes were a steely blue and he was staring at me with heat in his eyes. "You really like to see me in red, huh?"
He nodded at me before answering. "We'll be flying."
I tilted my head in confusion. "But we didn't make any flight arrangements."
Eric smirked at me before kissing me lightly. "Just trust me älskare. You will understand once we get outside. Right now, I called to have your belongings delivered to your house. So, let's get these outside."
Eric grabbed one of my bags as I grabbed the other and I followed him out of the room and downstairs. I handed him the bag I was carrying and walked to the front desk as he went outside. We agreed that I would check us out while he would make sure my things were sent out. After checking out, I walked outside just as a car with the symbol for Anubis Airlines drove off from where Eric was standing. I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around his middle.
Eric turned around in my arms and smiled down at me. "So, your bags should arrive within the next two days," he informed me. "Are we ready to go? We're all checked out?"
"Someone is eager to get back home," I teased with a soft smile as he chuckled. "We're all checked out. And I've got my stuff, so we're all ready to go. Now, my original question, how are we flying there when we didn't make any traveling arrangements?"
Eric smirked and picked me up so that my legs had to come around his waist and my arms around his neck. He used one hand to hold me up while using his other hand to tighten my legs around him. "Hold on tightly älskling," he instructed me. "I don't want you to fall."
My eyes widened as realization hit me. Eric could fly. I knew that some vampires had certain abilities, but I didn't know that Eric was one of them. Eric continued to smirk at me as I locked my legs and arms around him. He wrapped his arms around the top of my back and the bottom tightly before he launched into the air. I let out a yelp and I closed my eyes.
*Queen of the Wolves*
I slowly opened my eyes as the wind had stopped and the chest that I was pressed against was rumbling with the laughter that was in my ear. I looked around to see that we were in the parking lot of Fangtasia. Smacking his chest, I got down from Eric's arms. I straightened my coat and ran my fingers through my hair to make it less wind swept. Eric grabbed my wrists and brought my hands down.
He gave me a soft smile. "You're perfect, so stop fussing," he whispered. "Also, don't expect that I'll be as affectionate here as I was in Dallas. At least in public, but I'll still make sure they know you're mine."
"I would expect nothing less Eric," I giggled. "Don't worry about how I'll feel. I can feel your emotions just like you can feel mine, remember?"
Eric smirked as I felt satisfaction and relief come from the bond. "I almost forgot about that."
I leaned up and pecked his lips. "I'll be sure to remind you," I joked. "Let's head on in."
He chuckled again as he draped his arm around my shoulders and led me up to the door. He let me go in first and draped his arm back around me. Every vampire in the club had turned to us and Eric's arm around me was him staking his claim. Eric led us over to the bar before ordering a bourbon for me. While I picked that up, both Pam and Chow came vamping over to Eric's side.
"Welcome back Eric," Pam greeted, glancing at me.
"Pam, Chow," Eric greeted. "We'll talk in the office Pam. Chow, watch the floor."
I took a drink of my bourbon and took my place back under Eric's arm. Both vampires looked confused between us, while Eric led us passed them and toward the office in the back. After letting me in first, Pam entered last and closed and locked the door behind her. I leaned against Eric's desk, taking another drink of my bourbon. She crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes in my direction before turning to Eric. "So, what do we need to talk about?"
"I told you that Theodora here was a wolf," Eric started, and she nodded in confirmation. "What I didn't know at the time was what rank she was."
He turned to me, nodding towards Pam. I nodded, looking to her and letting my eyes glow silver. I watched as she gasped a little. "Asena," she whispered in disbelief. "You're the Queen. The Queen of the Wolves lived in the backwards town of Bon Temps, Louisiana?"
I let out a laugh at her bluntness. That was one thing that I enjoyed about Pam; she was incredibly blunt. "Yeah, I do," I answered her. "We wanted you to know because of the fact that Eric is my mate."
Pam's eyes snapped towards Eric in surprise and wanting confirmation. He nodded to her and put his arm back around my shoulders, leaning on the desk next to me. "We already completed the mate bond," he informed her as she uncrossed her arms slowly in shock. "I wanted to tell you about it because you've always been by my side. And I don't want you both to fight."
I smiled at him before turning that smile to Pam. "I don't want to fight over Eric when we both care about him," I told her. "I just want to be able to get to know you more."
Pam shifted her weight as she put one hand on her hip. "At least you're not human," she muttered, and I let out a little laugh at that. Pam looked me up and down. "I guess that it wouldn't be that bad to get to know you."
I smiled at her as I raised my glass to her with a wink. "That's all I ask."
