Oh yeah, my friend definitely wrote this one. He likes dogs even more than I do, and I'm pretty sure he based Janus off his own dog Lucy lol ^^

Stock walked into his room exhausted. Reya had demanded that if he was to be part of her crew, he was to train with a tenno in order to be able to keep up with them while out on missions. It sucked. The tenno he was training with wasn't Anya, it was the ship's weapons master. Reya had said his name was Talos, although Stock had to take her word for it because "Talos" hardly ever said a word. Hell, for the first day it seemed like he was just beating on Stock. Talos was an Excalibur, and like all other tenno he was fast, Stock would often barely see the moves coming before being sent flying across the room.

Stock decided to bring Anya along to his session on the second day of training with swords, just to make sure Talos wasn't secretly trying to kill him. Anya just laughed the first few times he went flying, but during a break she pointed out that even though Talos didn't talk, he was using the same move over and over again, so Stock should try to parry or counter that move.

After ending the break it took three more trips across the room before Stock finally figured out what Talos was actually doing and managed to block the strike. Anya cheered, while Talos just nodded, then they began again with a different attack.

That was how the past week and a half had gone, Stock would go flying across the room a few times before he learned what Talos was doing and either learned to parry it or counter with an occasional attack of his own slipped in. Every so often Anya or Tess would poke their heads into the training room to make sure he was still alive, or get a good laugh, he could never really tell which. A week and a half in and he was exhausted, ready to keel over, training every day for three hours drained him.

He opened the door to his room half expecting to be assaulted by the flying ball of fur that was Janus, his kubrow he'd rescued and taken in, but strangely his ever growing, ever hungry mutt was nowhere to be seen. Anya must have taken her out for a walk. He stripped off his sweaty clothing and took a quick shower before changing into some clean clothes and passing out on his bed.

Sometime later, still in a subconscious dream state he began hearing a loud thump followed by a series of softer thumps, then what sounded like scampering feet. Then there would be a short pause and it would repeat. Stock dragged himself out of his sleep and turned his head to the side. He was laying on his stomach, which made that slightly difficult, but he managed it.

He saw Anya sitting on the floor next to his bed in her bodysuit, her warframe in pieces and piled against one wall. He watched her cock her hand back and throw something. That explained the thumping sounds. A ball being thrown against his wall. The scampering feet must be his mutt.

"Meh… Do you have to do that?" he asked her.

"Do what?" she turned to him with a smirk. She threw the ball again.

"That," he groaned. His muscles still ached, and it still hurt to move. She threw the ball harder this time. It bounced off the wall and landed on his bed.

"No… You didn't just…" He knew what was coming and dreaded it. Anya just smirked at him again, then laughed as the fifty pound kubrow launched itself onto his bed and landed in the middle of him, knocking the wind out of him. Stock rolled over and wrestled with Janus a bit, trying to keep the ball out of her reach. It didn't last long, as she grabbed his wrist in her jaws and playfully squeezed until he dropped the ball.

"Ouch, you little shit!" he protested.

Janus jumped off the bed and grabbed the ball, then ran to her doggie bed and lay down while Anya laughed. Stock sat up, rubbing his wrist. "She's growing stronger," he commented.

"She's a kubrow. I think I know what breed she is, just by watching how she acts," Anya said, watching Janus play with her ball. She might be getting bigger, but she was still a puppy.

"Oh yeah? What are you thinking?" Stock was interested.

"A chesa," Anya replied, "Chesa kubrows are known for biting whatever happens to be holding something they want, usually hands. They are also very good at playing fetch. Which, if you haven't noticed, she's a master at."

"That would make sense, she's bitten my hands several times since I took her in," Stock said. He watched Janus for a bit longer. She was an adorable ball of fur, a pain in the ass at times but still loveable regardless. He sank back down on his bed and closed his eyes. He had the next few days off to relax, Talos had other things to attend to. At some point he felt Anya crawl into bed beside him and he wrapped his arms around her, and they both fell into a blissful sleep.
