I don't own Harry Potter. All credit goes to J.K Rowling but I do own my OC, Yuki.
-Baltimore, Oct. 26, 1942-
"You summoned us father," said Liza as she and Harry entered Vlad's study.
"Correct," Vlad pointed to the chairs, "There's something we need to discuss."
Harry and Liza looked at each other before taking a seat.
"I've…noticed for the past few days, you two have been spending quite some time…together," Vlad smirked, "Care to…explain?"
Harry and Liza widened their eyes before blushing.
"Um, well," Liza played around with her fingers, "I was just showing Harrison around the neighborhood, that's all."
"Is that so, Liza," said Vlad before looking over to Harry. "Tell me Fudo, is what my daughter telling me is true?"
"Well…yes," replied Harry, nervously. "She showed me some places around here and took me where the wizarding section was at."
"I see," Vlad narrowed his eyes, "And…what do you think of Baltimore?"
"It's…pretty good actually," answered Harry, honestly. "I wouldn't mind bringing my son here for a vacation."
"Ah, yes…Thomas, correct?" Vlad said.
"Father, why have you summoned us? Harrison and I need to practice," interrupted Liza.
"Mm, oh, yes, you may go," said Vlad, dismissing them. As the two left, hand by hand without noticing, but he did. The head vampire waited until someone walked out from the shadows.
"I see what you mean, Vlad," said Yuki, walking over to the window. She scanned around before spotting them, "To think that my son and your daughter are…"
"Indeed," Vlad walked over to Yuki, "Do you think they know about the connection?"
"Liza might know about it, but Harry doesn't," replied Yuki.
"Well, he will be learning about it soon," assured Vlad.
"Then I'll be back on Friday," Yuki summoned her cloak, "I need to get going. I have some…business to take care of."
Vlad smirked, "Finally taking back your rightful place in the Wizarding world?"
"…you can say that," murmured Yuki before apparating out of the manor.
Vlad continued watching Harry and Liza practicing on how to vanish and reappearing from the shadows. While they were able to perform it after a few minutes, the other trainees were still trying to vanish into the shadows.
Weeks passed and it was getting close to December. Harry has been able to control his blood cravings, his strength and use his shadow magic. Even casting the Unforgivable curses was no problem.
Harry was pacing around his room, nervously.
"Sal, please calm down," said Liza, using Harry's middle name. "You wouldn't be able to control your magic if you don't!"
"I know Liza, but I haven't gotten any word that I'm allowed to go back to Britain for Christmas," said Harry.
Liza walked over to Harry and hugged him, dearly. "Be patient Sal. I know how important is to you to see your son, on his birthday no less."
Harry looked down, holding Liza's hand. "I…don't want to disappoint him."
Liza smiled softly before kissing Harry's cheek. "Come, let's take a walk around the gardens. That usually calms you down."
Harry nodded, but as they were about to leave, Edinburg walked up to them. "What's up Ed?"
"Lord Dracula requests both your presence," replied Edinburg.
"Thanks for informing us," Harry said. Edinburg just nodded before walking away.
Liza turned to Harry, "Do you think it might be…"
"I hope. Let's go," said Harry.
Liza nodded before the two walked to Vlad's study which was on the north wing of the manor. It didn't took long for them to arrive and walk in. Inside, Vlad was sitting on his chair while Yuki was standing by a double window.
"Mother, what are you doing here?" Harry asked.
"Sit," Yuki pointed at the chairs in front of them, "We need to talk about something rather important that you must know or rather…starting to form."
Harry was confused while Liza widened her eyes.
Yuki walked over to Vlad, "Three days ago, you two learned about soul mates, correct?" Harry and Liza nodded. She asked, "Tell me, how Vampires found out when they are in the presence of their mates?"
"By the smell of their blood, but it depends on their age," started Harry. "For older vampires, the smell of the blood will call to them like a melody."
"For young vampires, it may be hard to know until they have a taste of their blood. To complete the bond, both vampires must drink each other's blood," finished Liza.
Yuki smirked, "Correct. So, when are you two going to seal the bond?"
Harry and Liza widened their eyes before blushing bright red.
"Wha?! Are you telling me that Liza is my soul mate?!" Harry said.
Liza looked at Vlad, "Is it true…father? Is…Harrison…my soul mate?"
Vlad sighed, "It's true sweetheart. I've noticed it for quite some time when you two were together. A faint, but strong connection is forming between you two."
While Liza was overjoyed, Harry was in disbelief, but it didn't bother him either. Harry sighed, "So, what now?"
"Simple. You two will complete the bond then we can go to Britain," replied Yuki.
Harry got up from his seat, "Seriously?! Just like that?"
Yuki nodded, "That's right, but before we do…she needs to know the truth."
"Right," murmured Harry.
"The…truth?" Liza asked.
Harry sighed before sitting down and looked straight at Liza's face seriously. "What am I going to tell you has to be kept a secret until I know that my son can handle it."
Liza gave Harry a strange look but nodded.
Harry took a deep breath and started to tell her his former identity. It took about an hour to inform Liza about how Harry was born in the year 1980, Thomas was a former dark wizard, etc.
"I came back with my adopted mother to stop countless unnecessary deaths in the First War," said Harry before chuckling a bit. "But I never thought that I was going to meet my soul mate and…fall in love."
Liza blushed, "Love?! I…I…this is so much to…"
"We understand Liza," Yuki leaned on the side of Vlad's desk, "If you need time to think then we can wait."
Liza looked down, biting her lower lip while Harry got up from his sit. "I'll…start packing," he said before leaving the room.
Liza stared at the door before flinching when Vlad slammed his fists on his desk. She turned to him, "Father?"
"Well, are you not going after him?" Vlad said.
Liza wanted to respond, but nothing came out. She closed her eyes until she got hit by the head from Yuki. "What was that for, Lady Fudo?! That hurt!"
"Good, now are you going to let your idiotic stubbornness control your love life or are you going to listen to your heart?" Yuki said.
"I'm not…stubborn," murmured Liza, softly.
Vlad chuckled, "You are…just like your muggle mother."
"My muggle mother?!" Liza said. "Father, are you telling me that I'm only half a Vampire?"
"That's right, but you're stronger than your half-brothers," replied Vlad before looking at his daughter seriously. "So, are you going to let your happiness just slip away?"
Liza shot up from her sit before running out of the room. She ran through the halls, but just as she was about to turn the corner, she bumped into someone. She rubbed her side before widening her eyes. There on the floor was Harry.
"Sal!" Liza hugged him dearly, "I don't need time to think! Since the day you came, I felt this warm feeling when I saw you! I don't care who you are! I just want to be with you!"
"Liza," said Harry, softly before embracing her.
"Now if you have finished packing, mind helping me pack?" Liza asked.
"Let's first notify our parents. We do need to complete the bonding to make it official," said Harry. Liza grinned, happily before the two went back to Vlad's study.
-Slytherin Manor, Dec. 21-
"Thomas?" Dorea opened the door, "The rest of the family are here."
"I'm not going down Dorea," murmured Tom.
Dorea walked over to Tom and sat next to him. "I know how you feel, but you need to understand that your father needs to train so that he wouldn't hurt us…hurt you."
"Dad's not that type of person! He could've train right here!" Tom argued.
Dora was about to counter the young Fudo before hearing a few whispers, behind the slightly opened door. She sighed, "Alright, come on out."
There were a few gasps before they came inside Tom's room.
"Explain why you guys were eavesdropping to a private conversation?" Dorea asked.
"Hey, don't look at me," Lucretia pointed to her brother and two cousins, "These three dunderheads wanted to come up here and find Tom."
"Squealer," murmured Orion.
"We just wanted to see if Tom was alright," said Alphard.
"He was pretty quiet and hardly was with us in Hogwarts," stated Orion. "Not to mention, when we were coming back, he didn't talk but stared at the window."
Walburga frowned, "Idiots! Didn't you two pay any attention to what Aunt Cassi said to us? I understand little Cygnus doesn't, but you two…"
Orion and Alphard thought for a moment before smiling sheepishly, while four-year-old Cygnus was clueless about what they were talking about. The young child simply walked over to Tom and sat on his lap.
"So, no word if Uncle Harry is coming?" Harold asked.
Tom shook his head, "No. Dad hasn't sent a reply from my last letter."
Everyone sighed, sadly before Dorea got an idea. "Hey, why don't we make some desserts? We can make everyone's favorite. I'll even allow you guys prank some of the adults…"
Orion, Alphard and Cygnus smiled about pranking while Walburga, Lucretia and Harold thought it was not a bad idea to make their favorite desserts.
"Tom, you in?" Dorea asked, softly.
The young Fudo sighed before carefully placed Cygnus down and stood up. "Alright, let's go before I lose interest."
Dorea smiled and guided the six children out of Tom's room. When they reached the kitchen, Dorea called a house elf and told her to take out the necessary ingredients.
In the living room, the adults were talking among themselves.
"Marius, how have you been? I heard you entered a muggle University, is this true?" Pollux said.
"Yes, and it's thanks to Lady Fudo for taking me to Denmark," said Marius. "I find that place quite pleasant. You guys should really come over for a visit."
"Maybe this summer we might go," said Irma.
"Denmark, huh? I've heard that there's this plant that grows in the forest in Denmark, but I can't recall. Do you remember, Cassi?" Michael said.
Cassiopeia was about to reply, but Arcturus stopped her. He sighed, "Can't you two go a day of not talking about your work?"
"Nope," replied the couple.
Arcturus made an annoyed face while Melania giggled.
That's when Zippy apparated into the living room, "Mistress Cassi, Lady Fudo has returned with two guests."
"Odd," murmured Cassiopeia. "Lady Fudo never allowed strangers to enter the manor, besides family. Bring them here Zippy."
The house elf nodded before apparating out of the living room.
"I wonder who the guests are," wondered Melania.
Before anyone could say anything, the doors opened and came in was Yuki. "It's so nice to see all of you," she greeted, happily. "This is going to be the best Christmas ever…if I say so myself."
"What do you mean, Lady Yuki? And who are the two guests?" Arcturus asked.
Yuki smirked before stepping aside to reveal Harry and Liza at the doorway.
"Hey, everyone," Harry greeted.
"Harry!" Cassiopeia said happily before giving him a hug. "This is a surprise. You were able to make it in time for Christmas."
"Wouldn't miss it for the world," said Harry.
Arcturus placed his hand around Harry's shoulders. "You could've at least sent us a letter that you'll be coming."
Harry shook his head, "I couldn't. I barely received news I was able to come back for Christmas."
"That's right. My father told us a few days ago, maybe a week or so, about the news. Also, we were quite busy."
"Who are you, miss? And who is your father?" Marius asked.
"I'll introduce her, but I need everyone to be here," said Harry. He called his personal house elf to inform the children to come to the living room. Before apparating, Zippy told the adults that the children were at the kitchen.
"I wonder what they were doing in there?" Irma wondered.
Arcturus and Pollux made a face while the rest laughed, knowing that Orion and Alphard were going to make a dessert prank for their fathers, like always.
"D-Dad?!"
Harry turned and smiled to his son, "Glad to know that you didn't forget about your old man."
Tom opened and closed his mouth before dashing to his father. He embraced the older Fudo, smelling the familiar scent of fresh pine trees and herbs.
"You came…you actually came."
Harry knelt and gave Tom a serious look, "I wasn't going to miss spending Christmas with you, not now, not ever. Do you understand?"
Tom smiled, "Yea…dad."
Harry got up and smiled to the other children. "I hope all of you were behaving well."
"Uncle Harry!"
Normally when they all piled up onto Harry, he would end up being pin on the floor, but now, with his strength increased, Harry was able to stand.
"Uncle Har is here! Uncle Har is here!" Cygnus said before noticing the unknown woman next to Harry. "Who are you lady?"
Pollux, Irma and Walburga glared at him while the rest simply just giggled as Cygnus is just a toddler.
Walburga hit her little brother's head, "You idiot! Sorry about that miss, please forgive my idiotic brother for his bad greetings."
Liza giggled, "It's alright. I would have done the same thing if I was his age."
"So, who are you?" Harold asked.
Harry smiled and placed his hand on Liza's shoulder. "Everyone, I would like you all to meet my wife and soul mate, Liza Scarlet Slytherin-Fudo nee Dracula."
"Wife?! / Soul mate?!"
"Greetings everyone," said Liza, happily. "Sal has told me so many stories about you all! And I can't wait to get to know you myself."
"Um, Lady…Liza," said Charles. "Are you, um…don't want to sound rude, but…um, are you…a Vampire as well?"
"Oh," Liza giggled, "I'm half a Vampire, just like Sal."
"So, you meet Harrison at Baltimore? Were you training as well?" Melania asked.
"That's correct," replied Liza. "I was at Belmont Manor for about a month before Sal came. When I first saw him, I found him rather cute and couldn't take my eyes off of him."
Tom grinned, not only did his father return, but he had gained a mother as well. He went over to his new mother, "We were making some desserts. Mind helping me make dad's favorite. I need to know what to change since he's a Vampire now."
Liza smiled, "Oh course! Excuse me dear, but our son needs my assistants at the kitchen."
"That's fine," said Harry. "If you like you can ask the house elf, Zippy, for a drink. It looks like mum planned ahead of time."
Liza looked over at Yuki, who was whistling innocently while racking back and forth. She shook her head before following her new son and the children to the kitchen.
"Um, drink?" Arcturus said, nervously.
Lycoris sighed, "Arcturus, if they are here, that means that they can control their cravings."
"How long can you drink without blood?" Melania asked.
"For right now, a week, but we don't drink human blood, we drink animal blood," replied Harry.
"Really?" Cassiopeia said, tapping her chin, "I thought that new Vampires are required to drink human blood."
"Human blood, animal blood," said Harry. "It doesn't matter. Just as long as it's blood, the cravings are under control."
Pollux and Arcturus sighed in relief.
Harry's eyes twitch, "So, tell me, what have I missed?"
-Dippet's Office, Jan. 1943-
Harry gave the password to the gargoyle which was not treat related. He knocked on the door before entering the room, "Afternoon Headmaster Dippet, you requested my presences?"
"Good afternoon, Mr. Fudo," greeted Armando. "Why yes but first, would you care for some tea or rather…animal blood?"
Harry widened his eyes, "How did you…"
Armando laughed warmly, "I can sense that you are good, and your soul mate as well, correct?"
Harry smiled, "Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. So, what do you need, Headmaster?"
"Please call me Armando. Now I asked you to come over for…a job employment."
"Employment?" Harry asked.
"I hear quite a few stories from Phineas," said Armando, looking up at a portrait. The man had long black hair and dark blue eyes.
"Phineas Nigellus Black?" Harry murmured before snapping his fingers. "I believe I recall seeing his portrait in Black Manor. What kind of stories did you hear?"
"Plenty…Lord Slytherin," replied Armando, happily.
Harry's jaw dropped open before glaring over at the sleeping Phineas. He sighed, "And what job employment are you offering? Potion Professor? The Head House of Slytherin?"
"No, no Lord Slytherin," replied Armando. "You see, my Defense instructor will be retiring, and I was hoping that if you would take the position for the upcoming year and so on."
"Defense? I'm not sure Armando. I don't have a teaching degree and please call me Harry."
"You don't have to worry about that," said Armando. "I looked up your profile in the Ministry and noticed that you received high marks of all subjects. It quite surprised me to see that you have all Mastery of all subjects."
Harry shrugged his shoulders, "It's no big deal, Armando, but if you need someone to teach these children about defense than I will happily to do so."
Armando clapped his hands together, "Wonderful! I'll be sending you an owl about your employment. I would advise that you keep this a secret…a little surprise for your son."
Harry chuckled, "You know what, why not. Is there anything else?"
"No, that is all," replied Armando before getting up. "Please, why don't you join me to lunch? You can meet with your future colleagues."
"Very well," replied Harry before frowning. "What about my…drink? And I only eat raw meat that is slightly cooked."
"Not too worry, I sent a message to the house elves that we are having a special guest," said Armando. "Shall we?"
Harry followed the elder wizard to the Great hall where he spotted his son with his group of friends. They were sitting at the Ravenclaw table but noticed that they were getting glares from the Gryffindors and the Slytherins.
Harry sat next to Armando and his food appeared in front of him. He noticed that it was still raw, and he could smell that his drink was cow's blood.
"Afternoon Headmaster," greeted Slughorn. "Who is this young man?"
"Ah, this is your top student's father, Harrison Fudo," replied Armando. "We had a bit of a conversation in my office but noticed that lunch started so I invited him."
All the professors greeted Harry, but when he planted his eyes upon Dumbledore, his blue eyes were…cold. 'Strange,' he thought, 'I never could imagine that Dumbledore could have a cold look on his face.'
"Dad, what are you doing here? Is everything alright?"
Harry snapped out of his thoughts and saw his son was standing in front of him. He smiled, "Don't worry, you're not in trouble."
Tom sighed in relief before turning to Slughorn, "Professor, when is the next meeting again?"
"Next week, Tuesday night young Mr. Fudo," replied Slughorn.
Tom nodded, "Thanks Professor and see you in June father. Tell mother that my friends loved the snacks that she made during winter break."
Harry smiled, "Will do son. Now go before your friends start missing you."
Tom grinned sheepishly, but when he glanced over to Dumbledore's direction, he shivered a bit before dashing back to the Ravenclaw table.
"You have quite a unique son, Lord Fudo," stated Albus.
"But of course, he does Albus. Like father like son," said Slughorn, excitedly. "Lord Fudo is well known in the Ministry for having all Masters on every subject in history! I wouldn't mind if you came to my classes and give a lecture to my students."
"I don't mind at all, just owl me when I should come over," said Harry before looking over at Dumbledore. 'Something is wrong, but what is it?'
He shook off his thoughts and talked to the Hogwarts stuff before heading home to tell Liza about his future job.
