-Slytherin Manor, 1970-
Harrison was at his study when he heard a knock on the door. He waved his hand, opening the door and came in was a child with long black hair that was tied up with a blue ribbon and onyx eyes.
"What can I do for you, Severus?"
"Um, well…I was looking for my potion cookbook. You know the one I got for my sixth birthday," replied Severus.
Harrison tapped his chin, "Ah! Yes, you left it here last month. I believe – Ah! Give me a moment," he opened one of his drawers and took out a children's cookbook, "Here you go, but what are you going to make?"
Severus smiled, taking the book back, "Lily and I are going to make some sweets for our family annual Christmas party. The others will be joining as well."
"I see, well, go ahead, but be careful," said Harrison.
"We will, uncle," said Severus before dashing out of the study. He ran through the halls and went outside to the backyard where he met with his friends.
"So, did you find the cookbook?" asked a boy with messy dark brown hair and hazel eyes with glasses. "Do you really think we can make the sweets within a week?"
"Definitely, if we are careful," Severus slightly narrowed his eyes, "I believe the warning was meant for you two…James and Sirius."
"Hey! It wasn't our fault! We weren't near the kitchen – Regulus was!" Sirius shouted, a boy with curly black hair and icy-blue eyes.
"Yea, we know that. Don't repeat it," said a boy with sandy dark hair and dark green eyes.
"But it's true, Remy!" Sirius and James shouted.
Severus and Remus just shook their heads.
James sighed, "Anyway, pushing that aside, Sev, would it be possible to add an extra ingredient to the sweet?"
"And what pray tell is that ingredient, James?" asked a girl with long bright red hair and green eyes.
"It's nothing dangerous Lily. Honest," James took out a vial of a purplish liquid, "It's just a Babbling Beverage."
Severus looked at the vial, "Please tell me you didn't brew this yourself, did you Jamie?"
James shook his head, "Of course not! I got it from Zonko's Joke shop when dad had to get somethings from Dervish and Banges."
Remus thought for a moment, "…you want to prank your older cousin."
"Yes!" Jamas clenched his hands, "It's payback for what he did when he came to visit us!"
"What did he do?" Remus asked.
James crossed his arms, stubbornly, "That idiot had my broom confiscated and mum grounded me for almost a month! The nerve!"
Lily glared at him, "And what did you do to get that kind of punishment? Knowing you, you must have been flying after curfew at that forest near your home."
James' cheeks were slightly red and lowered his head, sheepishly.
"You did, didn't you!? James Potter, how many times do you have to ignore a simple rule! You could've gotten hurt!" Lily scowled, hands on her hips.
James pouted, "I was careful…besides, I wasn't that far into the forest. I was close to the wards around the manor."
"That's the lamest excuse I have ever heard of Jamie," stated Severus.
"There's a reason why our parents have these rules for us," said Lily.
"But great-uncle Harry doesn't have any rules when we come over to visit," stated Sirius before smiling, "Anyway, I'm going to make him and my parents the best pumpkin pastry ever!"
Severus tapped his chin, "We might need great-aunt Liza for help. I don't know how to mix animals blood into the recipe."
"Good point. Let's go and ask her right now," said Remus.
The others nodded and headed back inside to find their great-aunt who was surprisingly at the kitchen already. She heard of their situation and happily agreed to help them out…including helping James with his prank.
-Christmas Day-
"These are the most wonderful pastries I have ever tasted. Thank you, Sev," said Eileen as Tobias agreed by eating another pastry from the little box.
Severus blushed, "You're welcome…I just wanted to give you two something special this year."
"Well thought out gift, son," said Tobias, warmly.
Severus smiled and turned around to see the other adults were enjoying their own pastries when suddenly he heard screaming coming from the hallway.
The doors opened and came rushing in was James and Sirius. The two ran over to their parents and hid behind their robes.
"Wha – What in Merlin's name is going on here?" Fleamont demanded, seriously. He pulled his son in front of him, "What did you do this time, young man?"
James was about to reply when the doors opened again and standing there was Alexander, James' older cousin.
"You little…" he started but covered his mouth after saying random things out of the blue.
Eileen widened her eyes and walked over to Alex while Euphemia marched over to her son, arms on her hips.
"What did you do James Charles Potter?"
"Nothing!" James protested before pouting, "I just gave him a pastry then out of nowhere he started talking nonsense – honest!"
"He's telling the truth! I saw it!" Sirius said.
Harrison lifted his eyebrow before walking out of the living room and entered the dining room to find pastries on the floor. He grabbed one and took a sniff, "…indeed, a Babbling Beverage," he murmured. He banished the pranked pastries and replaced them with new ones, 'Just this once I'll let it slide, seeing as its Christmas.'
Just then Eileen, Dorea and Euphemia walked in with Alexander and James.
"Are those the pastries that James made?" Eileen asked.
"It was the only ones on the floor," replied Harrison, handing one of the sweets to Eileen. "But you wouldn't find anything wrong with it. I checked."
"Really?" Euphemia said, surprised.
"No! That little imp did something!" Alex snapped, glaring at James, "He probably added some kind of potion into the pastries!"
"Alexander Griffin Potter! For Merlin's sake, you're acting like a five-year-old!" Dorea scolded.
Alex blushed from embarrassment before crossing his arms with a frown on his face.
Eileen waved her wand to see if there was anything different inside the pastry. When the sweet glowed white, Eileen frowned a bit before waving her wand again.
Same result: white glow.
She then waved her wand to the pastries at the floor, white glow as well.
"Well, it's just like what Uncle Harrison said. There is nothing wrong with it. It's just a normal pastry," said Eileen.
"What?!" Alex said while James was slightly surprised as well.
James then faked pout, "See, I was trying to be a good cousin, but what do I get? I get blamed for something I didn't do."
Euphemia hugged her son, "Sorry Jamie, but you can't really blame us either. In any holiday or events, you would prank anyone and some of them are not that nice."
James sighed, "I guess I go overboard sometimes…alright, I'll try to…lessen my pranking."
Euphemia smiled happily while Dorea and Eileen looked unconvinced.
Alex gritted his teeth before marching out of the dining room and headed outside to where his wife and friends were at.
"What's up with you?" Petunia asked.
"That pranking little imp, that's what!" Alex snapped, sitting down by his wife, Elowen. "I have no idea how, but that brat was able to hid those pranked pastries and replaced them with normal ones!"
"Alexander! Behave yourself!" Elowen crossed her arms, "You always complain about your younger cousin whenever we visit," she sighed, "I really hoped this year would have been different."
"Alright, Alright, I'm sorry," said Alex. "So, what have you guys been doing?"
"Other than surviving my first year in Hogwarts, its fine," replied Regulus.
"Same with me, but I wish I could've attended Hogwarts instead," Petunia then made a disgust face, "There's this horrible boy in few of my classes that is totally rude to everyone – even to the teachers!"
"What's his name?" Jessica asked.
"Vernon Dursley," hissed Petunia. "That boy has no imagination what's so ever! When Halloween came by, he glared at anyone who were dressed up as anything magical. He even shouted at my best friend who was dressed as a witch!"
Narcissa frowned, "What a horrible boy!"
"Has the teachers do anything about his attitude?" Andromeda asked.
"At the beginning, no, but after he shouted at my friend, a teacher stopped him and took him to the Principal's office," replied Petunia.
Elowen narrowed her eyes, "I hope he gets a severe punishment from his parents."
Petunia smirked, "Well, not sure about his parents, but…he was suspended. Rumor has it that he wouldn't be coming back until next year."
"That's good to hear," said Bellatrix before taking out her wand. "If not, I would have given my own punishment for that low life muggle!"
"Calm down, my dear, no need to strain yourself," said Salazar. Bellatrix calmed down and simply laid her head on her boyfriend's shoulder.
"So, Sal and Bella, aren't you two trying to get your Defense and Potions mastery?" Lucius asked.
"That's right. It's became a tradition for my family to become the next DADA professor," said Salazar.
"What about your Uncle Aiden?" Frank asked.
"Training to be the next Head Vampire," replied Salazar. "I thought one of great-aunt Liza's brothers will take that position, but great-grandfather Vlad said that they wouldn't provide the right protection for the clan."
"I wonder if it's because Aiden is half Vampire…" started Fabian.
"…and half Wizard," said Gideon.
"Vampires are quite powerful and gain an element magic," said Fabian.
"Your grandfather Harrison has darkness, right?" Gideon finished.
Salazar nodded, "That's right. If I recall correctly, Uncle Aiden has fire, grandmother Liza has thunder and gran-gran Yuki has both darkness and light."
Frank whistled, "Impressive. It's no wonder the last dark wizard disappeared. He didn't want to fight against your gran-gran."
"I've seen them train new recruits," Lucius shivered a bit, "They were brutal."
"You can say that again," murmured Salazar.
"Well, let's head back inside. It's getting rather cold," said Frank as he was getting up. The others followed suit and headed to the manor. When they entered the living room, they found an interesting scene.
Euphemia and Emily were singing a Christmas song with Lily, Severus, Remus and surprisingly James and Sirius. When they saw their older cousins, James and Sirius' faces turned bright red from embarrassment.
Alexander and Regulus burst out laughing before being chased by their younger cousins.
"Well, the peace didn't last long," said Rose before turning her attention to her younger daughter. She smiled, "Your singing was lovely, my little flower and of course you two as well, Sev and Remus."
The two boys blushed and looked down from embarrassment.
Harrison mentally laughed as he couldn't imagine seeing his former potion professor being so open and carefree. He watched happily seeing his former parents and godfathers being friends with his former potion professor.
'Hopefully this time around, Snape will enjoy Hogwarts,' thought Harrison before frowning a bit, 'I just hope that cowardly rat, Pettigrew doesn't ruin for them when they attend Hogwarts.'
-Hogwarts, Jan. 1971-
Harrison was looking over at the list of the incoming first years and transfers. Some were from far places such as Japan, Canada, Russia, etc. Most transfers were muggleborns, a few halfbloods and purebloods.
He glanced at his familiar, "So, where do you think James and the others will be sorted this time, Fawkes?"
"Since I'm not Leo, I can't say for sure since it's not my bloody job," replied the fire phoenix. He looked at the window, "What I can say is that I fear something is about to unfold. Best keep your eyes open. It's coming…I can feel it."
Harrison frowned, dropping the list and walked over to the window balcony. He looked towards the Forbidden Forest before getting an all too familiar scent in the air. Harrison gritted his teeth, "…they've returned."
-Break Line-
What you guys think? Also, at this point Harry will be called Harrison from now on...only Yuki will call me Harry.
