I don't own Harry Potter minus my OCs, enjoy.
"What you got there, Astrid?" Harry asked.
"See for yourself," replied Astrid, handing the Daily Prophet to her cousin.
Harry took the morning paper and on the front page, it was titled: 'Gringotts Break-In Latest.'
Investigations continues into the break-in at Gringotts on August 4, widely believed to be the work of some dark wizard or witch unknown. Gringotts goblins today insisted that nothing was taken since the lower vaults have high protection spells.
Harry frowned, "Who'd be dumb enough to rob from the goblins?"
"Who knows," Ophelia shrugged her shoulders, "But it looks like they were looking for a certain vault…"
"But which vault? And what were they looking?" Skylar asked.
"That's the million-dollar question," said Bertie.
Harry thought about the four founders' and Merlin's vault but shook it off. They're highly protected by strong protection charms and only the descendants can open the vaults.
"Well, whoever those idiots are, they'll think twice about stealing from the goblins," said Leonard.
"Never cross a goblin," said the Weasley twins, appearing behind Bertie. "That's what our older sister, Willow says."
Bertie smirked, "Or make a deal with them."
Harry and the others laughed minus Hermione who was confused. Eldon gave a quick explanation to the brunette before all of them went to class.
-Hogwarts grounds, Flying lessons-
"Alright class, the Quidditch captains will be assisting me today," Hooch said. "Also, they will give you a rundown about the Quidditch positions, any questions?"
The students shook their heads.
"Good, let's begin – stand next to the brooms and say up!" Hooch instructed.
"Up!" Harry shouted as the school broom went straight to his hand. He smiled, knowing the broom would come to him naturally. His father said that he got his flying abilities from him since he was the best Quidditch player when he attended Hogwarts.
"Up! Up! UP! You stupid broom!" Roni shouted.
Harry turned around to see the broom smack his best friend's nose. He tried to cover his laughter, but Roni saw him and snapped at him. After ten minutes, the students had the brooms into their hands.
"Right, Wood, Diggory! Your turn while I help the muggleborns," said Hooch.
Oliver and Cedric nodded.
"Listen you lot," shouted Oliver. "Let's see how well you can fly without your parents supervising – Potter and Weasley! Show me what you can do!"
After flying, Oliver explained to them the different positions in Quidditch. It was then that Oliver wanted to test them out if they had a chance to be in the Quidditch team next year. After the lesson, everyone headed back inside the castle for dinner.
"So, how was your flying lesson go?" Jason asked.
"Alright, I'm just glad that I didn't fall from the broom," said Neville.
"Well, Oliver told me that I could become Keeper if I tryout next year," said Roni before making a face, "But I'm bringing my own broom. These school brooms must be old! The one I was using smacked me on my face!"
Harry laughed, "Roni, the brooms are new. Draco's grandpa had the school board get new brooms after a five-year period. Great-Grandpa didn't want any incidents happening."
"I wonder if there were incidents during his time," wondered Hermione.
"Possibly," said Eldon, filling up his plate. "No doubt there're many incidents since muggleborns didn't know anything about magic during his era."
"That's true. My grandmother told me how scared she was the first time she flew," said Draco before smiling. "I can't wait to tell her portrait that I have a shoe in as a Chaser."
"I was pretty nervous, but Madam Hooch helped me to calm down," said Hermione.
"But flying is the best thing ever!" Jason's eyes brighten, "When you're up on the air, everything in your mind goes blank! It feels – phenomenal!"
Astrid rolled her eyes, "Mind him. He's a Quidditch fan, but what he says is true. Sometimes I fly for a bit to relax and enjoy the night sky."
"Oh, I see," said Hermione.
"Well, if you all would excuse us," said Freddie, leaving with her twin and the Prewett cousins.
Ophelia sighed, "So, they finally found a prank for Halloween then."
"Definitely, but I don't think they'll succeed this year," said Serenity Black, second year Slytherin, smirking.
"And why is that?" Jason asked, lifting his eyebrow. "They've been able to for the past two years. Who's going to stop them?"
Eldon coughed, "Well, you see, my great-grandparents are coming … here for Halloween."
Harry and the others widened their eyes.
"What?!"
"I got a message from them. Great-Grandfather Harrison will be checking up on the wards of Hogwarts while Great-Grandma Liza just wants to visit," explained Eldon.
Pansy Parkinson, who was friends with Draco since childhood, squealed, "We get to meet royalty?! Oh, what am I going to wear?!"
"This isn't a ball, Pansy!" Astrid snapped. "As Halloween tradition, classes will be cancelled and the students can dress-up in costumes, then the Headmaster tells the origins of Halloween."
"Later, we tryout the haunted house that the professors made," continued Percy aka Persephone Weasley, fifth year Ravenclaw Prefect. "At midnight, the professors will show the muggleborns how to contact their loved ones through the veil."
Pansy pouted and looked away while Hermione's eyes brighten.
"I can't wait!" Hermione said, excitedly before frowning, "But – I don't know what to be for Halloween! Last year, I dressed as one of my favorite authors."
"We have a month to decided," said Harry. "My parents will be bringing my sister as well."
Hermione smiled, "Really? I can't wait to meet your sister Harry."
"You get to meet all of our siblings Hermione," said Serenity. "My mum told me that everyone is coming over. This year the Headmaster is allowing the students to go to Hogsmeade for trick-or-treat."
"No fair! We didn't get to do that last year," whined Jason.
"Oh, stop your bloody whining," scolded Astrid. "At least there's a reason to dress-up now. Question is: what do I get to wear?"
Roni crossed her arms, "I just hope I don't get stuck babysitting my little brother and cousin. Those two are a nightmare!"
"Pandora and Griffin aren't that bad," said Bertie.
Roni made an annoyed face, "You have no idea how wrong you are…"
"Ronda don't be rude," scolded Percy. "Or do I have to mention this to Aunt Avalon and mum."
"You wouldn't dare," said Roni, darkly.
"Try me," challenged Percy, smugly.
Roni narrowed her eyes but looked away from her sister and continued with her dinner.
-Halloween-
"Come on or we're going to be late," said Sapphire, impatiently. She's dressed as Vampire Princess Miyu while her cousin, Eldon is dressed as Miyu's Shimna companion, Larva.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," Eldon was adjusting his costume, "Will you just chill out? We have plenty of time before our family comes over."
Sapphire shook her head, "I haven't seen everyone for two summers! And you know why!"
Eldon sighed, "Yea, Yea…I know. Is your choker finally fixed?"
"Yes, that's why I'm allowed out now," replied Sapphire before smiling, "Actually, great-grandfather is going to cast a spell over Hogwarts so that the other half-vampires attending here would be able to attend this year's Halloween."
Eldon smiled, "That's great. Harry and the others will get to see you."
Sapphire was about to say something when they heard someone talking. The Slytherin-Fudo cousins looked at each other before sneaking over to the mysterious voice.
"Make sure you're there before the students do."
"…"
"Yes, I'll be supervising the first years. But who are we taking?"
"…"
"Potter's child? Why?"
"…"
"Well, he does look like him. If he hadn't come to Hogwarts, I would've been the Headmaster of Hogwarts – not him!"
"…"
"Very well, I must be going. I'll let you know when we get to Hogsmeade."
Sapphire and Eldon saw their Transfiguration professor leave one of the classrooms and left with a rush. They waited until they were sure he was gone before the two looked at each other with widened eyes.
The Slytherin-Fudo cousins dashed to the Headmaster's office, quickly. They didn't bother knocking; rather they opened the door to see Tom was looking at some paperwork.
"Sapphire, Eldon, what are you two doing here?" Tom asked.
"We need to tell you something about Professor Phoenix!"
Meanwhile, at the Great hall, Harry's eyes were twitching upon seeing almost all the girls were dressed as princesses or wearing a gown.
"Is it just me or did we step into a Yule Ball?" Astrid asked, annoyingly. She's dressed as a Viking. She was impressed how strong the female Vikings were and liked the idea holding an axe around her waist.
"More like a bloody pageant," murmured Bertie. She's dressed as the female version of Batman while Leonard is dressed as Robin.
"I guess someone must have overheard that great grandpa is coming," said Jason, who's dressed as a Pirate captain. He eyed at the Weasley twins, "Any ideas you two?"
"Oi, don't look at us! We didn't say anything!" said the Weasley twins, who were dressed as the female version of Tweedledee and Tweedledum from Alice in Wonderland.
"…Parkinson might have something to do about it," said Harry, who's dressed as Salazar Slytherin and Hermoine was dressed as Rowena Ravenclaw while Roni was dressed as Alice.
"Most likely," said Skylar, who's dressed as a detective. "Alice, huh?"
Roni sighed, "Yea, Pandora wanted to dress as the white rabbit so me and my sisters are dressed as the Alice in Wonderland theme."
"Aw, cute," said Ophelia, who's dressed as Cleopatra while her brother, Draco is dressed as one of Cleo's brothers.
"Aw, how sweet!" Serenity said, who's dressed as Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, but in the blue dress rather the pink one.
"At first, Roni didn't want to until Aunt Avalon got an idea that Alice can have a sword," said Harry, sighing. "Roni liked the idea of carrying one."
"Aunt Avalon will be bringing the sword later today," said Roni, happily. "It's identical to Godric's sword! Isn't that cool or what?"
"Harry and I didn't know what to dress up as until his mum suggested to be as Salazar and Rowena," said Hermione, softly.
"Ah, I see why," said Astrid. "Rowena was a muggleborn, and Salazar saved her from a mob of muggles who killed her parents. Merlin took her in, and Salazar was his godson."
"So…Rowena was like Salazar's sister then," said Hermione.
"Exactly," said Eldon.
"My parents are going to be Romeo and Juliet while my sister will be Madeline," said Harry.
Serenity giggled, "I can see why. My dad goes on and on how much in love Uncle James was with Aunt Lily when they were younger."
"What about your parents, Serenity?" Neville asked, who's dressed as a knight.
Serenity blushed, "…King Stefan and Queen Leah. They wanted to do a family thing, so we dressed as the royal family in Sleeping Beauty."
Freddie smirked, "No need to be embarrassed."
Serenity pouted, "But these are my parents! My bloody parents! This is so embarrassing!"
Jason patted her back, "You'll live. So, what's Hydra going to dress as?"
"Uncle Siri said that Hydra was going as a dragon," replied Harry. "Hydra really loved the dragon book that Charlie gave him for his birthday last year."
"I bet he's going to be adorable," said Bertie.
"Hey! Eldon, over here!" Jason shouted before his eyes brighten, "Sapphire, you're here!"
Hermione turned around to see a girl with long black hair with silver highlights, pale skin and green-red eyes. She was wearing some sort of Japanese kimono, rather short and wasn't wearing any shoes.
"Hermione, this is our cousin, Sapphire," introduced Eldon.
"Oh, nice to meet you," said Hermione before frowning. "But why haven't I seen you around?"
"It's because of my random blood cravings," replied Sapphire. "I'm still trying to control them, but if I wear this," showing her choker, "it cancels out my cravings. But two years ago, I, um…sort of broke it."
Astrid frowned, "How in Merlin's beard did you break it?"
Sapphire laughed, sheepishly, "About that, I was dueling with daddy…a spell went astray and…um, well…it hit my choker."
Leonard twitched his eyes, "Clumsy as your mother."
Sapphire stick out her tongue, "Shut up Leo! Now, are you young ones ready to hear the origins of All Hallows Eve?"
"Hallows…Eve? Don't you mean Halloween?" Roni said.
"That's what Halloween originally was called," said Bertie. "Don't worry, you'll learn more during the history lesson."
"When will that be?" Hermione asked, excitedly.
"Around ten so eat up. It can be a long story if you get sleepy easily," replied Eldon, eyeing Roni and Draco who were blushing as they knew they were going to fall asleep during the story.
