Chapter: Hands On!
Forty-five minutes later they arrived at one of the popular beaches that Haku said was an excellent place because of the warm sand and cool waters. Seeing a lot of people out and about enjoying the sun had Naruto smiling in excitement. Grabbing Haku's hand, Naruto dragged the boy to their assigned spot as the rest followed at a slower pace. Each had their own bags to carry along with a cooler, a large parasol and beach blanket to spread out on the sand. Dropping their bags on the sand as Sakura helped Sasuke with unfolding the blanket while Zabuza opened the parasol and stuck it in the sand. Sitting down under the shade, everyone looked around their surroundings to see families and kids having fun on the sand and in the waters.
Naruto leaned back and sighed from his spot next to Sasuke. Haku dug through his pack for a beach ball and started to blow it up while Sakura opened the small cooler they brought for sandwiches and juice boxes. Zabuza sat down behind Sasuke and took out a bottle of sun block from his pack as he scooted closer behind the boy with his legs on either side of him. Squirting some lotion on his hand and dropping the bottle, Zabuza rubbed his hands to spread out the lotion then nudged Sasuke. Looking behind first to see what the man wanted and smiled when he saw the lotion covered hand then lifted his shirt over his head. Rubbing the lotion on the exposed back, Zabuza concentrated on the task to cover the boy's back and shoulders while Naruto watched. Sasuke turned his head to the blonde who smiled back then picked up the lotion to hand it over to Sasuke and moved to sit between his legs with his back to the boy, lifting his own shirt off. Sasuke gave a small smile before squirting the lotion on his hand, tossing the bottle by his side and rubbed his hands. When both hands were evenly covered, Naruto scooted closer and rubbed Sasuke's arms and chest.
Sasuke, taking the hint, copied the blonde and made sure to get every area covered as Zabuza watched from behind him. Sakura took the bottle, squeezed some and handed it to Haku who did the same. Each other them did their own arms, chest, tummy and legs before helping each other with their backs. When all of them were fully covered they each took a sandwich and juice box and turned to watch the people around them playing in the sands and water as they ate.
Discarding their trash in the cooler to toss later, Naruto stood and picked up the beach ball:
"You girls want to play a round of beach volleyball?" both nodded as they got up and followed Naruto to an open area near the shore line. Both Zabuza and Sasuke watched them run along as Zabuza folded his legs under Sasuke and propped an elbow on his knee with his head in his hand watching the others play at a distance. Sasuke smiled when Zabuza adjusted himself under him but kept watching as Naruto and the girl bounced the ball around. Soon he felt fingers drawing circles on his arm and he relaxed just a little bit more. Sasuke chuckled quietly a couple times when the ball would bounce off Naruto's head or he'd dive and get a head full of sand, all the while Zabuza kept silent and continued making circles on his arm.
As Sasuke was smiling at a particular scene that had both girls giggling, he could also hear a different set of giggling that reminded him of days past and so turned his head to the right where 3 sets of eyes were looking right at him. They blushed at being caught but giggled and waved at him. Sasuke narrowed his eyes at them then turned away to keep watching his friends play ball. Zabuza had noticed but stayed quiet to see what the boy would do now that he caught the attention of a few females his age.
Some quiet whispering, giggling and encouragement, Sasuke noticed one girl stand up from the group and made her way over to their blanket. Sasuke gave an annoyed sigh but kept his eyes on the other three as the girl came closer and knelt on the edge of the blanket. Zabuza turned his head slightly in his hand, looked at the girl then turned back to where he was looking while keeping his left hand lightly touching Sasuke's arm.
"Hi" the girl said "My name is Kime, what's your name?" Neither males answered.
"Is this your dad?" She asked instead
Sasuke smirked and turned his head to the girl.
"No" then leaned back against the firm chest behind him and took hold of the hand on his arm, wrapping it around his waist as Sasuke smiled at the girl "This is my boyfriend" then lean up and kiss under Zabuza's jawline, making the man quietly chuckle as he closed his eyes at the attention the boy was giving him.
The girl blinked in surprise at the display and blushed "Oh" then quickly got up, mumbled an apology and went back to her group of friends. They saw her whispering to her friends, pointed at them and they smiled back, making them avert their attention elsewhere.
Zabuza laughed, squeezed the boy in his arm and nuzzled his head before letting him go to continue rubbing circles on his arm as Sasuke straighten up turning back to the others playing.
A minute later Naruto caught the ball and ran back to them, tackling Zabuza who fell on his back with an 'oof'.
The legs under Sasuke unfolded and bend at the knee on either side of him. Sasuke turned to see Naruto laughing and nuzzling into the man as said man tickled the blonde's sides. Smiling at them then stood up, brushing the sand off him and walked towards the girls coming to them. Sasuke took Haku's hand instead and turned him back to the shore wordlessly but Haku didn't mind and waved off Sakura to go back to the blanket.
Intertwining their fingers Sasuke lead Haku to the water where they walked in and kept waddling through until it reached above their knees. Still holding his hand, Sasuke closed his eyes and tilted his head back, enjoying the sun on his face with the light breeze and gave a happy sigh.
"Sasuke is finally relaxed I see" giving his hand a squeeze making Sasuke chuckle.
"I hope you don't mind" a squeeze back
"Mind what?" Sasuke could feel Haku lean down to run his other hand in the water around them.
"That I want Zabuza to spend time with me" he heard the quiet chuckle.
"I'm surprised you said 'me' and not 'us', hmm" Sasuke opened his eyes and turned to the boy and looked at his bathing suit. Haku wore a spaghetti strap tank top, booty shorts but covered around his waist is a tied off scarf so no one is the wiser that Haku's a boy and his hair in a high pony tail. Sasuke smiled and stepped closer to the boy, taking note of their exact height as he leaned over just a bit,
"Naruto likes to watch" He whispered and watched Haku's reaction, he wasn't disappointed:
Haku blinked at the comment for a second then threw his head back and laughed. Clutching at the hand holding him Haku kept laughing as he leaned back a bit then leaned forward as his head rested on Sasuke's shoulders, feeling the boy's shake from quietly laughing with him. When he calmed enough to just small shakes of mirth, Haku looked up to Sasuke's face and wiped the happy tear from his eye.
"Who knew out of the two of you that Naruto was the perv" That got them laughing again.
"Hey!" They turned to Naruto who they didn't noticed had snuck up beside them with hands on his hips and a pout. They also noticed Sakura behind him with a hand covering her mouth to quiet her laughter. Both Haku and Sasuke grinned at the blonde, still holding hands as the blonde huffed and crossed his arms.
"Take it back" he said. Haku and Sasuke looked at each other then back at the blonde with identical smirks.
"And if we don't?" Haku challenged.
"Uh oh"
They should of seen it coming when a glint shined in those ocean blues. A gust of wind sliced through the water and completely drenched the two making them shriek/yelp and gasp. They heard Naruto laugh and didn't give him time to prepare before they tackled him into the water. They heard Sakura shriek too from the splash back then a growl before she joined in on the water fight.
Splashing, dunking, tossing and cries of laughter making Zabuza smile at the kids having fun.
During the splashing Sasuke dived in and under Haku to lift him up on his shoulders making the boy yelp then laugh when he sat higher than the blonde.
"Now what dobe?" Sasuke said with a smirk as he held on Haku's legs.
"Hm. Two can play that game, come on Sakura!" and dived, not giving Sakura a chance as she screamed when she got lifted in the air. When she steadied on the blonde's shoulders, she swatted the top of his head lightly.
"Dammit Naruto I wasn't ready!"
"You better be ready now Sakura cause here they come" Sakura looked up in time to see the other two coming at them. Sakura smiled as she put her hands up in front of her and then the fight began.
Sometime later when it was all said and done with Sasuke and Haku the victors, the four settled down on their blanket wrapped up in fluffy towels with a smiling Zabuza. Sasuke took his former place on Zabuza's lap while Naruto leaned into the man's side while trying to get some water out of his ears. Both Haku and Sakura wrapped the towel around their body as they took out another towel to start drying their hair.
"We call dibs on the shower when we get back" said Sakura as she rubbed the access water from her hair and Haku just smirked at the boys while doing the same to his hair.
"Aw come on! That's not fair" Naruto whined but a chuckle from Sasuke had him turning to the boy. Sasuke had his head tipped back with a lazy smile as Zabuza rubbed his back dry with his towel and an image flashed in the blonde's mind from earlier that had his cheeks turn pink but didn't look away.
"It's ok, dobe. We can wait" Naruto pouted then nodded and leaned back to Zabuza's side, feeling the man's arms move to dry the boy in front of him, now moving onto the dark head of hair.
"Now that's settled, we should get going" Haku suggests in which everyone nodded in agreement. The boys put on their shirts, getting wet spots from their hair, and the other two tucking the corner of their towels in as they all got up.
Taking down the parasol and folding up the blanket, they shoulders their things and made their way through the crowd, watching out for kids running around. Handing the parasol and beach blanket over to the canteen they rented from when they first arrived, the five left the beach in high spirits on their fun filled day.
Haku lead the shortcut back to the apartment with Sakura's hand in his while the three boys followed behind with Zabuza keeping the rear. When they walked in the door, the two each split up to the two bathrooms and the rest could hear the shower started running. With that Zabuza dropped his bag, picked up Sasuke under his arms onto the counter, slipped down his bandages and attacked the boy's mouth. Passing the girls as they went in the living room, Naruto went to Zabuza's room giving the door a light tap before bringing a hand to the knob. But the door sprang open before he could turn the knob and a hand pulled him in. Naruto didn't make a sound when his back hit the door frame and the door closed quietly with a click. Zabuza knelt down in front of him and wrapped his arms around the boy, giving him a gentle squeeze as he nuzzled into the soft skin of the blonde's neck. Naruto went to the bathroom that Sasuke took, tapped it lightly and opened the door to put one set of clothes on the counter. Closing that door, Naruto went to the other bathroom for his own shower with his own set of clothes.
After the blonde closed his door, Haku and Sakura looked at each other and giggled. The boys actually thought she didn't know what was going on when her back is turned, then they obviously aren't looking close enough.
Sakura knew from the first time they had a sleep over and that claim solidified whenever Zabuza-san and Haku made an appearance at their workplace. Sasuke didn't say a word, just narrowed his eyes at them and went to the big couch. Haku and Sakura followed him with their eyes until he turned his back for a second where they both shared a quick look then back to the boy when he sat down and glared at them. They smiled at him then went back to drying their hair as Sasuke huffed then picked up the remote to flick through channels.
When he found one he liked and was about to put the remote down, the other bathroom door open and Naruto came out dressed in his pajama pants and oversized tee. Rubbing his head with a towel, Naruto went to where Sasuke sat on the big couch and sat down beside him, leaning on his sides as he continued to dry his hair. Sasuke rolled his eyes as he put the remote down but smiled at the warmth on his side when he leaned back against the couch. Finishing off the rubbing, Naruto wrapped the towel around his shoulders and leaned back against the couch with a sigh. Looking to the other couch to the other people, he watched as both Haku and Sakura started on brushing their hair to get out the tangles. Standing back up, Naruto went behind Haku to sit on the arm rest with Haku between his legs and held out his hand for the brush which was given wordlessly as Haku adjusted his position on the couch. Zabuza gave him a one shoulder shrug before turning back to the kitchen to get started on dinner, taking out pots and pans from the lower cupboards then opening the fridge for the vegetables. With the clanging of the metals and closing of the doors, Naruto shook off his mirth and handed the brush back to Haku before getting up from his seat and tossing the towel from his shoulders onto a chair by the table.
