Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Marching Orders. Enjoy the 3600-word chapter. I do not own Patrol; Nick and a few others do.

Duke almost did not wake up the right way, not just nightmares had kept him up…. But the idea of training allowed him to sleep just a few seconds more.

Duke was up a few seconds after the door opened and he was already out the door, realizing how they had to be training as soon as possible.

Though? Duke could be blamed on training on account of training before then. He was a soldier and he had to act like one.

Duke yawned to himself a few seconds later as he slowly started towards the meeting hall. He was not often aboard a ship like this but he was attempting to memorize something.

Duke sighed to himself, too much invested in what was going on.

"Are you ok?" Duke heard as he blinked, surprised at the end.

There was a lot more to this now…. All of it was very interesting at the end.

Duke hummed to try and deal with it for now…. This was a lot of different topics when it ended.

"Tired…. But thank you for coming to try and help me." Duke stated, trying to sound honest.

Duke seemed to be dealt with as he thought of the next move and they looked to the side as Duke cracked his fingers and then looked to the side.

(20 minutes later)

Duke looked at their little obstacle course. He had a lot of different ideas on his mind as he looked to Liberty and Chase.

"Short notice?" Duke asked, trying not to let the obvious idea they were not ready to make an obstacle course exit his mouth.

He was tired so he did not care… If he was asked to train? He would train. Duke knew he had to train… So, he kept any problems with it for now.

The Great Dane was given a nod so he stayed silent. Duke set himself up as best he could, almost noticing a shape out of the corner of his eye.

Duke barely dodged the shape which made him look at them. Otis looked at them both, curious at the end.

Duke shook his head, looking at the Beagle as Duke hummed and then thought of the dog as a small little toy then a person.

He acted like a toy, desiring to play over the training needed. Duke almost sighed to himself and then looked to the end of the obstacle course.

Duke seemed to relax as he looked towards the others. He had a LOT more to understand for now and he cracked his paws.

Duke shook his head once more and then smirked, prancing in place. They knew something was going on and he knew training was going to be handled one way for now.

Chase looked over at Duke. If this was going to end? It was going to end today.

"OK, so I just try and reach the end of the obstacle course?" Duke asked, tail wagging backward and forwards.

He was SO ready for this and he wanted to think. They had to act… He had to ponder it for now.

Duke started to trot in place, too amused at the end of it. He waited for them to get it off.

There was a clap that made Duke fire himself forward in a ball of fur. He leapt atop one platform then the next… He leapt to the next, rolling under the swinging pillows which were meant to probably stand in for flames or such.

Duke leaped onto the next platform as he thought of it and then looked over at them.

There was a lot more to try for now… He scraped the next platform, spinning as if it were a shred of paper.

Duke hummed and then leaped to the next platform, sliding down a small slide that appeared to be a slide of glass.

He had a lot more on his mind and it was clear that they were too interested in it. He hummed and then thought of the next move as he did so.

Duke hummed, relaxing for the moment and then he looked over at the end. Duke seemed to be tiresome, he was all too beaten down by it all as he knew they could not have allowed it to end this way.

The others watched as he went into the obstacle course. He was all too amused.

Duke hummed and slid to the end… Perhaps he was too fast but he expected it to be harder and harder with each day.

"How was that, commander?" Duke hummed and then trotted in place.

He was happy, very happy as to HOW it would have been like for now. This was all too amusing at the end of it.

They had a lot more to deal with as they relaxed once more. This was a lot more chaotic and Duke hummed.

Duke looked over at Ryder. The human was curious but he was trying his best to be stoic. It was clear they had not done much but it was still being counted as training… Most of the pups were still impressed at the end of it.

They were not aware of the idea which seemed to think of it all for now. Duke seemed to be relaxing for the end of it as he thought of it all and then thought when it all came to an abrupt ending.

It was clear they were still impressed after all, there were a lot of things to discuss but it was CLEAR beyond all shadow of a doubt that this was odd but it was far from the weirdest way possible now, and all of it seemed to be dealt with it.

(With Skye and the others)

Skye hummed and then thought of it all as she sighed once more.

They had a lot of ideas and then looked once more. Skye hummed and cracked her paws before she looked downwards at the ground.

The girl seemed to watch Duke with a fascination beyond interest. She knew more and more at the end of the day that Duke was giving it his all.

Perhaps it was all too odd for now and then thought of it as he cracked his fingers and then looked to the side… There were a lot of different ideas as he cracked his next moment.

Skye hummed and then looked to the side… They had a lot more to think of it.

Duke seemed to crack his fingers… Both she and he were too tired at the time, something which amused her in the end.

Duke looked up at them and then glanced at her once more… She thought of it all as something odd.

"Wow… He was fast." Zuma stated before they both looked to the side.

Skye was curious as to the skill of which Duke had. It was clear at least he was not lying about being from the army which made her worry Ryder could be in trouble for keeping a pup who was training to be a soldier.

Though, she had a feeling that Rydr would have been able to explain it for now.

They had a lot more to relax through for now… They had a lot more to deal with for now and it was clear that something was growing more.

They had a lot of amusement for now…. Duke hummed and then walked to the side… They relaxed for now and then looked at each other… It was very odd and it was very amusing now.

Duke finally walked up to the floor where they had to be. He was curious, constantly curious as to how it would end…. They had a lot more to try and think of something else.

All of him? He had a lot of different ideas about what needs to be dealt with for now.

There were a lot of different ideas now… Something within them both had to break, it would break.

Duke hummed and then looked to the side. Duke cracked his fingers and then thought of it all as he was all too interested in it all.

He thought of her for a second and then he smiled. The Great Dane was amused and he was able to try and then thought of it all as a small little game.

Duke being himself? Thought training was nothing more than a fun distraction from attempting to relax.

They had a lot more to try and figure out as he thought of it. Duke tapped his paw on the ground and he relaxed once more… All of it seemed to be over now and then thought of it all.

They had a lot of ideas. He had a lot more potential than they thought as he climbed up, pulling his bulk up and towards the small little ledge.

Duke hummed, cracking a smile as if proud of this… He knew a lot more than anything that attempting his best was simply a part of living.

Skye looked at the Great Dane puppy who looked more for recognition than he did anything else.

"That was training?" Marshal asked to which Duke nodded, thinking for a moment as he paused.

"That was what Bow Wow made us do daily, why?" Duke asked, plopping himself down on his butt.

Marshal blinked in sheer shock but it was clear he was impressed for now, very impressed…

Chase blinked and then Rubble and finally Rocky. Duke looked at Skye and scratched at the nape of his neck.

"Did I do part of it wrong?" Duke asked, more confused than anything.

What he did not know was simple… He knew more and more that he had fun for now.

"They're just shocked," Skye said as Duke hummed.

"Oh… Sorry, we do obstacle courses all the time. It is not that hard to win when I spend most of my time running it again and again." Duke said, scratching at the nape of his neck again.

He guessed the others were not used to someone completing with them physically. However, he did wonder what they expected from a dog who regularly was asked to do military labor.

Duke sighed to himself and then watched as the others began to clean it up. Duke simply shrugged, guessing the others were too thrown off to deal with.

Duke looked at Skye for a second then he was silent. He had very strange ideas of what was needed to be the leader for now… And there was a lot of different ideas.

The chaos within Duke was not something to deal with slowly… Both he and Skye paused for a second to let everything sink in as both thought of just what was going on.

Perhaps life was odd for them now… They were too disturbed for now and it would end for now… There was a lot more to try and figure out.

They had a lot more to try and think of it. Skye seemed to smirk, happy and relaxed once more… It was a lot more to deal with for now, they had a lot more to relax through for now.

It was a lot more to deal with for now. They had a lot more as he thought of it all now and for a good reason.

They had a lot more to try and think of it all.

A pain like this was far more to him than before… They had a LOT more to deal with for now and it would become harder to think of now…. Duke still smiled, he could only push through the chaos, not understand.

He had too much to deal with for now. Duke hummed, scratching at the back of his neck and then nose.

Whatever he had been like for now…. They had a lot more to try and think of it.

Duke hummed and then paused with a few seconds later as the dog looked over at the end of the room.

They had a LOT more to deal with for now… It was too chaotic for now and they had paused.

Skye rubbed at her temples before she looked to the end of it. Duke seemed to relax and then paused for now.

Duke hummed and then thought of it as they relaxed once more… He was silent and unsure of it all as he paused and relaxed…. The end of this next move was more than needed.

He did not at all know what was going on now… There were a lot of things Duke did not know what was all too dealt with for now.

Skye watched as the others slowly started to walk away, it was clear more to this.

Skye seemed to be dealing with it for now… They had an idea at the end.

They had a lot more to deal with for now. Duke hummed and then looked downwards to the side.

Duke hummed and then sighed to himself and cracked his fingers… He had a lot more to understand.

He was amused… Far more than usual… It was more than it needed to be dealt with.

(2 hours later)

Duke hummed and then sighed, too tired… All of it was more than they had to deal with.

He looked at the hologram of Zero. The idea such a dangerous criminal was running around the city was bothersome now…. It was more than careful at the end of the day.

There was a moment of silence as the others looked at the hologram… They had not fought a villain like this before but it was clear she was just as dangerous as Vince.

If there was more information on Zero? They would ask. It was clear beyond all shadow of a doubt that he had nothing else to deal with each second.

They did not know Duke either but they did not allow it to cloud their judgement. The problem was they had nothing else to deal with for now…. They had a bigger issue now.

It would not have helped now… Not now as they had an idea of what was going on in the case.

Skye seemed to look over at her new friend as Duke hummed and then paused, relaxing once more… It was more something that bothered her to know that Duke was attempting something beyond the pale.

What they did not know bothered them and what they did do? It was more than often…. If nothing else? They had more to deal with for now… It was part of being who they were….

Now? Now Paw Patrol at least knew Zero was dangerous so it was odd they did not take him down soon.

But they had to end it now and they would not be able to relax for now and he had a lot more to deal with for now.

Skye seemed to relax as Duke hummed and then thought once more and cracked his fingers. Skye seemed to watch as Duke glanced off and into the city, reminding him that they had other pressing issues to deal with.

"It also seems we have to deal with another issue," Ryder said as Duke hummed. "Vance was reported missing from the prison convoy…. Meaning she is on the loose." Ryder added as Duke sighed.

"Zero wants more power…. And Vance is aware of how dangerous the crystals are. Blast it, he is strategically trying to improve his position and yesterday was just a diversion." Duke muttered, almost slamming a paw onto the ground.

Ryder went to say something but he guessed Duke was right. The two incidents yesterday were around the same time and Duke had identified the same explosive residue at both sites.

"What would Zero want with a mad scientist?" Liberty asked as Duke hummed.

"Her intellect, her ability to locate more crystals? Her power? She has superpowers… And if they… If his old friend was as smart as he used to be? Then he needs her for something." Duke stated to which he hummed.

Skye frowned as she realized Zero sounded a LOT like a dangerous criminal and a monstrous dog.

"Duke… You seem to know a lot more about Zero, can you guess what he might do next?" Ryder asked, noticing Duke's eyes dart away at the mention of said enemy. "Please, we need to know what it might be," Ryder stated before Duke hummed.

Duke sighed, weighing the pros of saying it versus the harm it could do, explaining the entire thing would make them eager to go after Zero. If they hunted down Zero? He WOULD kill them.

But he could at least guess and with their help? Duke knew he could apprehend Zero for the military.

"Attempting to acquire a power base, making sure that he can conduct his plans without needing to move for the time being," Duke admitted and then looked at the hologram. "Why? They have probably been looking into recon on us… Yesterday was force recon, today is going to be establishing a battle line." Duke stated as the others looked at him.

"Meaning… He wanted to know what we could do?" Skye asked as Duke hummed.

"Affirmative. You catch on quick." Duke stated before he looked at Ryder. "That is obvious… If he can keep an eye on the city and cause trouble? That is where he will be." Duke added before he shook his head.

Duke seemed to be tiresome for now and it would continue to be tiresome for now… They had a LOT more to deal with for now as he cracked a finger.

He had a LOT more to deal with for now and it was a lot more to deal with than before now.

Skye hummed as Duke paused, tired, and relaxed for now… It was clear without shadows of a doubt what was going on.

"You should know they are without a doubt dangerous… These guys are not street criminals or thugs… They are the t-word." Duke said as he paused.

"T word?" Rubble asked before Chase blinked.

"You mean terror…." Chase stated to which Duke nodded. "Oh… That is not good." Chase said to which Duke nodded.

"Glad you know why I cannot divulge so much intel, specialist Chase… Zero and his group are wanted fugitives… The military wants him arrested as much as we do… But he is dangerous enough for them to take him seriously." Duke added as Rubble frowned.

"So, supervillains. We can just call them supervillains; we are mighty pups after all." Rocky stated to which Duke hummed.

"With those crystals? There is no telling what damage Zero can do, Specialist Rocky." Duke stated, looking off and into the distance. "And if he is recruited someone like Vance? Then he is planning something and when Zero plans something? He hurts a LOT of people." Duke added, frowning now.

The time spent on something like this was annoying… They had to strike. Duke hated the waiting; he hated the idea Zero could have been up to something while he was here waiting.

His Bow Wow training told him it was better to eliminate a threat before it did damage rather than to wait for a response.

Granted, military ops were usually far larger in scale… But as a soldier? He had a desire to help, to hunt.

Ryder looked at him with sympathy. It was clear Duke wanted to do something but they had to wait, it was clear Duke did not like the word wait as it told them both just how much damage one could or would do if given the chance.

Duke sighed but stayed silent. He had a lot more to try, to deal with… Training was something that he could have allowed him to do.

He knew that they were able to deal with Zero but it still worried him, they could not understand what came next.

Duke was scared, he just did not wish it to see it end now. There was just too much now to deal with for now, far too much for now. It bothered Duke. It would always bother Duke and to deny that was like trying to fight a blasted hurricane.

Duke hummed, curious. He wanted nothing more than to say he was fine but he was not he would not let them rest.

Skye and Chase shared a look as the Great Dane leaned on the wall. Now? Now he had better things to do.

And it was clear they had a LOT more potential to fight, a LOT more to deal with than just a criminal.

Duke could not believe it was clear something would occur for now, they had a LOT more to him than before, a LOT of different ideas now, and a lot more panic than Paw Patrol was used to.

There was a lot more to deal with as he cracked his fingers and then looked to the side… Something else had to be dealt with now.

Duke being Duke was amused and it was clear he had a different idea as to what to do, a different idea now within it all… When it was all over?

Well, he did not want to be the one who had to deal with it… He did not want to think of it a certain way.

Now? Now he had no clue what was going on and he did not want to know… All he did know? Well, he knew he could not have allowed it, he just could not for now.

Though, to be fair? There was at least SOMETHING pushing him down that road rather than just nothing, something he had to break down.

There was nothing more to that now… There was nothing else now for him to deal with.

Now? It had to be ended for the time being… Now? Now it was going to be seen as the end of it all.

There were a lot of things Duke did not want to deal with. Now? Now it had become harder and harder to think of. It was still impossible to ignore.

Skye seemed to be amused, for now, it would be harder to think of it. Skye hummed and then cracked her fingers, the more pain that would bring?

Another burst of fire was all too much for them… It made them all look over at her.

Though, given that both were ready?
