"Oooh, I think this one is right up your alley!" She drags him to another stall, crossing over the uneven ground perfectly in her ridiculous heels. Shadow absolutely does not stumble after her.
The stall she pulls him to is painted in gaudy colours, all bright reds and yellows and pinks, and Shadow screws his nose up at it. Some blue would balance it out, make it less of an eyesore, but that's probably the point, he thinks, to be eye catching. Lined up in a row behind the counter are four clowns. Their mouths are wide open, gaping, and their heads are rotating, swinging back and forth in slow jerky movements.
"What the fuck," he says, and Rouge laughs, handing over some coins to the stall vendor.
"Here," she says, pushing a plastic water gun into his hands, laughs again when he perks up. "Aim for the mouth, and if you get a good enough score you can win me a prize."
He glances at all the stuffed toys and goodie bags tied to the roof. A massive dark chao plush hangs just above him, a tag dangling from its paw reading "5000 POINTS TO WIN!"
"Kill your own clown," he tells her, taking aim.
