New years eve, 1912, Hockley gardens...
Wandering around the corner of the rose bushes, Rose Hockley -Dawson had a million thoughts racing around, all focusing on one thing. The entire other life she had had twelve- months ago, when she hadn't been ended, hell married, to Mr Caldon Hockley. But it was too late now, as she was married and with her first child. One she did not want.
Your the light, your the night,
Your the color of my blood,
Your the cure, your the pain,
Although meant to be a magnificent life with the Hockleys, Rose had a secret she would never tell anyone. All the important people in her life, which was only her, knew so no body else needed to know about it. It was her little secret. Her millionth secret, as she had so many.
Your the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much -so much-
Cal was meant to be the most important thing in her entire existence but, even though he should be, doesn't mean he was. The most important thing in her life was dead. And it was all her fault. Eight months ago, she had a handsome, clever, artist man, with his hands on her waist, but now because of her own separation anxiety, he had perished in the icy depths. John Cole Dawson (or just Jack Dawson) was her only love. For eternity.
'Cause I've never been so high,
Follow me through the dark,
Let me take you past our satellites,
Rose regretted being with Cal for oh so many reasons. He was controlling, horrid and ,worst of all, abusive. Supposedly, he loved her. But this was all a ruse, as behind closed doors, he would beat her within an inch of her life. She so badly wanted the world to swallow her whole in that moment, as Cal was beckoning her over to announce the thing inside her, the heir to the Wallstreet Tycoon. Or, so she hoped, as she did not want to sell her daughter off to the highest bidder, like her own mother had all those years ago. As he was taking control of her, she was remembered of the wonderful time she had with her love. At one point, she was with his child but Cal forced himself on her, and she had a miscarriage. That had filled her with great sorrow and she was still filled with agony to this day.
You can see the world you brought to life, to life,
So love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do,
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do,
Touch me like you do, ta-ta-touch me like you do!
Now as the clock struck midnight, Rose slipped out of the gardens and to her own sanctuary. The library. When she was drowning in self-pity and hatred, she came here and now more so than ever she needed this comfort as it was the only one she had nowadays. And ,like always, this helped and The Great Gatsby and Jane Eyre had her crying, yet again. Why was life so picture-perfect for some and for her it was living hell.
What are you waiting for?
Fading in, fading out,
On the edge of paradise,
Daydreaming was a habit that she had been yelled and hit at as she was caught gazing at a young girl most of the time, something a lady should never do. If her Jack had lived, they would most likely be in Sana Monica, married and she would be pregnant. Yes it sounded so similar, but there she would be filled with joy and not greif like she was during this period of her life.During these times, she would be up in her room, eyes watery and hand on her stomach where her unborn child lie.
Every inch of your skin is a Holy Grail I've got to find,
Only you can set my heart on fire, on fire,
Fireplace blazing, Rose was found sobbing over her desesed lover. Only this time, she was ready to take her own life. But the difference was that now there was no one to stop her. Except herself. And she hated this life so surely she would.
Yeah, I'll let you set the pace,
'Cause I'm not thinking straight,
My head's spinning around, I can't see clear no more,
Jack wondered round the street to see something that made his heart stop. He froze in his tracks. He saw Rose. His Rose. But, as they say, history repeats itself. Yet again, she held her own life in a gun. Oh goddess! She was going to die. But succeed if he didn't step in, again. He stepped closer and spoke the same words as the first time: don't do it. Her head spun round and she dropped the gun.
What are you waiting for?
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (like you do),
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do,
Touch me like you do, ta-ta-touch me like you do!
Rose saw him and she was stunned. He was stunning and ,like always, holding his hand out to her. But how!? She thought. He's meant to be dead! I saw it. I saw him drown.
What are you waiting for?
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (like you do),
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (ye-yeah),
Rushing towards his wife, Cal was confused and furious. But he slowly he grabbed her by the waist, pulled her down and - crushed his lips against hers. Being a single man in the same place as a married couple, Jack stood. But quickly realized what was going on and that she didn't want it, so he grabbed Cal by the collar, slightly chocking him.
Touch me like you do, ta-ta-touch me like you do!
What are you waiting for?
Then, Cal and Jack were fighting for their lives and wife. Rose was absolutely taken aback but acted on instinct and clutched Jack's arm, dragging him off and kissing him passionately. Even Rose was startled but then Jack pulled her in, making the kiss more deep.
I'll let you set the pace,
'Cause I'm not thinking straight...
(Love me like you do, Ellie Goulding. Thanks for reading! See you in the new one -hopefully.)
