Chapter 19

Chucky stood in front of the cabinet under the sink. Let's see what we have to work with? Chucky saw boxes of cleaning supplies, some with blue markings and some with red. Then he came to the box that grabbed his interest, he took it and read the label. Rat Poison "This outta slow the pricks down."

From what he could see, dinner was Lasagna and a side of Romaine lettuce, Fancy. Chucky took the box and climbed onto the chair.

Four bowls sat parallel to each other. Steam came off the meat covered in sauce and it smelled so good. Tempting, maybe I could get a little bite.

He tilted the box and poured out the powder. "There we go," he said.

Just need 3 out of 4 bowls. Gotta keep the last seat on the left clear, For Andy. I don't want Andy getting poisoned. The rest are just collateral. He readied himself to pour into the next bowl until he heard footsteps coming down the stairs. God Dammit! Looks like one will just have to do. He took the box and ran away, careful not to spill any of the powder and leave a trail.

Tyler sat down next to James and Andy sat next to Molly. Andy still surveyed every corner of the room. Like he was looking for something. They sat down and wait a prayer, then they began to eat.

It had been a week now that Andy had been there. Sometime that day Mrs. Malkum was going to call and ask for Andy's answer; whether or not he wanted to stay. Andy hadn't let his guard down If Chucky's time ran out he wouldn't just vanish he'd become completely human—a human soul trapped in a doll's body for all eternity. He would have all eternity to track Andy down and kill him and anyone else close to him unless he was destroyed first.

School wasn't good today. Andy couldn't focus on his work and he kept falling asleep. Then there was his little "incident" at lunch. As far as first impressions go I'm doing just fine. His lunch was splattered on the floor earlier so he could stand to eat. James told him they were having lasagna for dinner tonight. Andy had never had lasagna before, his mom never had time to make it and none of the homes he'd been to cared enough. But from what he could see it looked kinda like a weird pizza.

Molly came over to the table and scooped some out of the large bowl. The same type his mom would use to cool and Andy would use as a hat. He took his fork and brought it to his mouth as did everyone else. It was good! Really good! A smile came to Andy's lips, why haven't I had this sooner. Nobody really talked during dinner except Molly and James. They asked about how everyone's day was and Molly asked what happened to Andy's shirt.

Dinner concluded and everyone went about they're day. Andy went straight to his room and so did Tyler. Molly buckled herself in and took one more look at the grocery list and backed out of the garage.

That's strange, she thought to herself. I feel just a bit carsick.

Tyler knocked on the door to James's office. No response. He turned the doorknob and went inside. Good and empty. He made his way to the file cabinet and started snooping through it. He was going to find out what the hell was wrong with Andy and where he came from.

He reached a file that said Foxrun Children's home. He opened the file and read the paper. BOY CLAIMS DOLL POSSESSED BY KILLER'S SOUL. What the fuck? He thought and he began reading.
