D'Andra looked over to Alucard and smiled. This would be a bit of a test to see how well they would fight together. While she hated to admit it, she thought they would work well together. While each had taken the other's blood, they were not yet mated.

Alucard wondered what was going through her head. She looked to be deep in thought.

"Something on your mind?" He asked softly.

His soft voice brought her out of her thinking as she looked over to him.

" No, not really. I was just pondering over a few things. Nothing overly important, though." She replied.

Her eyes took on a curious gleam as if an idea just popped into her head. A slow smile crawled its way across her red-painted lips.

"My Count, I would like to try something before we depart. If you are willing." She said softly.

Alucard gave her a nod of his head, giving her his approval to try whatever it was she wished to try. She smiled at him as she closed her eyes slowly. Then, he felt an odd stirring in his mind.

{If you can hear me, this will make things easier for us.} Came her soft mental voice.

{That it will, plus, be a more private way for us to talk when necessary.} He replied.

She nodded her head lightly to him. She agreed that the mental path they had created would be convenient for them. Alucard lifted his head, then let out a low growl. She felt the stirring of his mind. He looked at her as he extended a gloved hand out to her. She took his hand and rose, stepping in close to him. He pulled her in close to him and wrapped his free arm around her, holding her close to his body.

Alucard shadow-ported them to the waiting jet. She remained close to him as they approached the plane. She hated flying unless it was on the back of a dragon. This metal death trap was an annoyance. She boarded the jet with Alucard and followed him to their seats. She went to settle into her seat when Alucard pulled her back. She let out a startled squeal but settled against him nonetheless. She let out a soft, musical laugh.

"You know, had anyone else done that, they would find themselves in a world of pain." She chuckled.

He chuckled as he held her close. She relaxed against him, letting her eyes drift closed. She felt the jet start down the runway and then into the air. The pressure change was just slightly uncomfortable, yet tolerable. She let herself drift off a touch, getting in a small nap.

She woke when the jet touched the runway, stretching her body like a cat against Alucard. She heard and felt his groan. She just smiled as she settled in his lap once again.

"Something wrong, my Count?" She purred softly.

She could be a tease when she so chooses to be. Right now, she was in a mood to tease Alucard. She wiggled around in his lap like she was getting comfortable.

"You keep doing that, my dear. You will start something I don't think you are ready for." He growled softly into her ear.

She just chuckled softly as she wiggled in his lap, getting comfortable. He growled softly in her ear. She was having fun teasing him. He wrapped his arms around her as he stood up. She laughed as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He held her close as he stepped out into the aisle. He set her down so they could walk off the jet together.

The pair walked off the jet together. Two sets of eyes looked out over this new place. Gone was the playfulness. Both were alert to their new surroundings. They remained close to each other. Their senses were on high alert. The way they moved, you would never know they were so watchful of their surroundings. They moved as if there was nothing at all wrong.

They reached the waiting car, both settling into the back seat. The car took them to their hotel. When they arrived, Alucard did the honors of influencing the clerk as men carried their coffins up to the penthouse. They both started to get settled when the power in their room went out.

They looked at each other as they heard the sound of chopper blades. It made an unmistakable buzzing type of sound. D'Andra tipped her head as she seemed to be puzzled by something.

{My Count, there is something off about how all this feels.} She said.

{What do you feel?} He asked.

She thought for a few moments about what felt so off to her. The chopper meant little to her. She tuned that out. She searched for what was making her so uneasy. She finally locked on to it.

{There is a blank spot where life should be. It isn't caused by one of our kind. I think there is a chipped freak here leading all of this.} She explained.

Suddenly, the balcony glass was blown out by a barrage of bullets. Alucard put himself in front of her to protect her from the flying bullets. D'Andra chuckled softly as she moved out of the way to watch Alucard work. She watched as the bullets ripped him to shreds. He turned into pure shadows, letting out a maniacal laugh.

He pulled his guns from the shadows, shooting down the chopper. Then, the doors to their room burst open. In poured an entire squad of cops. Now, this was an interesting turn of events. She gave a slight roll to her shoulders as she watched Alucard begin slaughtering the men. She wasn't about to spoil his fun. She watched as he slaughtered the cops that poured into their room.

They were nothing more than sheep to her. The air was thick with the scent of blood. She growled lowly as the smell crawled its way up her nose. Her eyes started to turn blood-red. Her fingers flexed, causing her nails to dig into her palms. The pain brought her back from the brink of blood rage.

She gave a quick shake of her head to clear her thoughts. She now had her emotions and blood lust back under control. She chose to stay behind Alucard as he slaughtered the policemen. She hadn't bothered to bring out her sword. She was content to let him use his guns or brute force.

They moved out of the room slowly. She was behind him for now. She smiled as he put his guns away and unleashed his shadows. His shadows ripped through every person standing in his way and then absorbed every drop of spilled blood.

{Wouldn't want to was a good meal.} Alucard chuckled.

{ I could think of a much better meal, but that will have to wait for a better time.} She replied.

She caught his mental groan as he picked up on what she meant.

{My love, you keep thinking like that and I will take you here and now.} He growled.

{All in due time my Count. What I showed you is just a fraction of what I have planned for us.} She purred.

This time his groan was audible. She couldn't help the smile that curled her lips. She moved closer to Alucard so her chest brushed against his back.

{Now shall we finish cleaning up, so we can return to the mansion?} She asked.

Alucard turned quickly wrapping his arms around her, pulling her in close to him. He growled lowly in her ear. She shuddered against him.

{My love, we need to finish the mission before we start any fun.} D'Andra purred.

Alucard just growled and tightened his grip. D'Andra needed to settle him down so they could finish the mission. She knew she had been playing with fire by teasing him.

{My Count, control yourself this isn't the time nor the place for this.} She growled.

He growled in her ear once more, then he let her go. His crimson eyes glowed with lust. D'Andra knew that look all too well. She moved away from him, not out of fear, rather to give him some space. Her dark eyes were watchful.

{My Count, use that frustration to finish the mission so that we may explore more pleasurable things.} She spoke softly.

He gave a nod as he turned walking back into their room. She followed him and listened as he used the sat phone to call Integra. He used a little of his frustration to goad Integra into giving him the search and destroy command. She just shrugged her shoulders. He hung up the phone and then turned to face her. His shadows were dancing wildly around him.

"Shall we paint this town red my love?" Alucard asked her.

She chuckled as she moved to stand with him. She placed a hand on his shoulder, feeling the power that rolled off of him in waves.

"Let's show these cheap imitations what a true vampire is capable of doing." She replied.

They walked out of the room together. Both were intent on wiping out the remaining swat members as well as the freaks that were outside. Alucard had his guns drawn and ready. Once they reached the lobby, both stepped out. D'Andra's eyes shifted to a blood-red to give the illusion that she was more like Alucard.

"Please stay behind me for a little while my love. Save your energy and magic for later." Alucard said softly to her.

She nodded, then stepped back behind him. Alucard used his shadows to fling the remaining members of the swat team outside impaling them upon some flagpoles. For now, D'Andra remained in his shadow.

{My Count, don't go outside just yet. There are too many humans with those pesky cameras. They are a major pain to our kind.} Sge said easily to him.

{What do you have in mind, my love?} He asked.

{Mother nature can be our best friend.} She replied.

He wasn't exactly sure what she meant. Alucard didn't look back at her, so as not to give her away. He did listen to her. Her voice was barely a whisper of sound as she spoke. He didn't understand the words, it was a language he had never heard spoken. He saw everything go pitch-black outside.

The lightning streaked across the sky sending all the press folks running. The wind started to howl as well, so he knew what she was doing. She was stirring up a storm to cause all the press to run away. She used the storm to push the press people far away from the hotel and keep them away.

She remained behind him as they stepped outside. She choose to remain hidden in Alucard's shadow. When they were outside they heard a man clapping. Both turned their attention toward the clapping man. The man was tall and dressed in a dark purple suit.

"Oh, my you really shouldn't play with your food. You certainly do live up to your reputation. My name is Tubalacain Alhambra Mr. Alucard, though some people have taken to calling me The Dandy Man." He said with a bow.

"Fascinating, did these poor souls belong to you?" Alucard inquired as he jerked his head to indicate the impaled men.

"Oh, you're speaking of those unfortunate men up there. Their superiors were fools and so they allowed their men to end up in such a state. Truly amazing what some people will do on the promise of immortality." He answered.

"Taking advantage of idiots. We both know there is no such thing as immortality." Alucard chuckled.

"No need to be cruel. They still served their purpose. After all how many of your holy munitions rounds do you have left Mr. Alucard?" He taunted.

D'Andra remained in Alucard's shadow. She chuckled softly as she listened to this Dandy Man. She wouldn't interfere with what Alucard was doing.

{My love this man is a blowhard. I believe he is nothing more than a puppet.} Alucard said.

{What makes you think that my Count?} D'Andra replied.

{There is something familiar about all of this. I think this is all being done by that crazy little major I faced long ago.} Alucard explained.

"I'm here to take your unlife, Mr. Alucard. Millennium has given me the task of bringing you in. Well, at least a sample." Tublicain said as he threw a playing card at Alucard.

Alucard's shadows destroyed the card before it ever touched him or her. D'Andra was content to watch and listen. Alucard seemed to have everything well in hand.

{My love I don't think the Major knows anything about your bloodline.} Alucard explained.

{Then shall we keep it that way, my Count. Then again not many know my bloodline even exists.} She replied.

"I get it. There is absolutely no reasoning with you people. Which leaves me no choice but to keep killing until there are none of you left standing. Didn't your Masters learn anything from the first time I decimated them?" Alucard laughed.

D'Andra listened to everything being said. She relayed some pertinent information to her brother. She knew the storm she had created would be dying out soon. Once the storm was gone the press would be back.

{My Count we need to move this to a more private location.} D'Andra purred.

Alucard agreed with D'Andra that they needed to take this to somewhere more private. Now came the problem of how to do that without showing herself to this chipped freak. Just as she was about to try and figure out how to move this. Tublcain leapt up into the air taking the fight to the hotel roof. He had just solved the problem for them. She just grinned as she and Alucard made their way up to the roof.

She remained hidden in the shadows. She was content to watch Alucard play with Tublcain. She purred when he began to scream. His screams were music to her ears. She let her eyes return to normal.

She watched Alucard start to drain Tublcain. She knew her taste would come later. D'Andra let out a startled squeak as Tublcain's body burst into flames around Alucard.

{I'm fine my love, the flames haven't harmed me.} He purred to her.

She let out a sigh of relief. Her body visibly relaxed. When the flames died away she walked over to Aucard wrapping her arms around him. She nuzzled into his chest. He chuckled as he offered his neck to her.

She wasted no time burning her fangs into him. She took her fill from him. She sorted through the memories very slowly and carefully. She retracted her fangs and sealed the wound, just as a chopper came up to the roof to pick them up.

They boarded the chopper and settled in. The chopper took them to a two-bit motel on the edge of town. They looked around the room, it was overrun by their coffins.

"How long will we be staying here Vlad?" D'Andra enquire.

"However long it takes for Integra to get a jet for us." He replied.

D'Andra wasn't happy with the answer, however, there was little either one of them could do. So for now they would make the best out of a bad situation. They had been there the better part of a week when Father Anderson burst through the door.

Both immediately went on the offensive. D'Andra drew upon her magic. Alucard drew his guns. Alucard and Father Anderson approached each other. Right before they reached each other, Father Anderson threw a bayonet, sinking it into the wall next to D'Andra's head. She snarled as she was prepared to fire off a spell.

"There are your release papers. A Vatican jet is waiting to take you lot back to London." Anderson snarled.

He turned and marched out of their room. D'Andra wanted to fire off a spell at Father Anderson's backside. He held onto the magic.

{We will get him, my love, however, we need to return to London. You shall have your revenge. This I promise.} Alucard vowed to her.

She turned to face Alucard, her eyes were bright with hatred. Alucard knew her hatred was directed at Father Anderson. He approached her very slowly till he put his hands on her shoulders giving them a gentle squeeze.

"My, love let's leave this place and return to the mansion." Alucard whispered.

D'Andra looked into his eyes as she sighed and got control of her emotions. She leaned into Alucard as she let out a sigh.

"I'm getting too old for this." She muttered.

"What did you say love?" Alucard asked.

"Nothing my Count, let's get out of here. " She replied.

They got their coffins loaded as well as themselves. They settled in while they were transported to the airstrip. Together they board the jet. Both settled in and slept the entire flight.
