After I left grandma with the newly converted SCP bullies (I can't believe I had to write a description like that) I then saw that the way that was being blocked off by the group of protestors had since been cleared, just as in the game, meaning I could explore down the rich side of the town. And I saw that, when I went to the residencies... there were more SCPs that were around, at least four of them, each having a different look to them.
One was a female version of 096, aka, the face hiding one that hated its appearance. And if ANYONE looked at its face, it would hunt them down and devour them. To prevent this, it seemed that the girl had placed a paper bag on her head with eye holes. But she was still a crying mess, since she looked long, lanky, and very ugly in terms of female looks. She was the one that was SUPPOSED to be a crying widow who lost her husband to a mutation where he was kronenburg'd, but he wasn't. What was he? SCP 066, him being turned into a small toy with eyes and bones through it and making sounds.
"Fiona? Fiona?" the toy said as it rolled around aimlessly.
"I'm so sorry, Max... I don't know how this could've happened..." the poor girl said, me now knowing that they needed some space. But as for the other three? Each of them could prove to be more dangerous than the others.
One of them happened to have been turned into Siren Head, an unclassified SCP that was able to turn giant, fool things with false sounds, and had nearly perfect camouflage. But as of now, it looked like it was allowing people to see it and it was sitting down by two regular humans, them being characters that were at the school but not part of the main story. One was Senor Cleanfist (odd that he wasn't considered an adult) and the other was Stingey Vince, who looked to be deciding on whether or not to eat some anchovy chips, or to eat a packet of cheese puffs.
As for the other two that were SCPs, one happened to be THE most deadly of the lot, 682, the lizard that was able to survive anything you could do to it... and he was currently blocking the way to, get this, the hospital. And he was a guard, as he was wearing a badge on his forehead, same with a guardsman hat. And the final SCP was SCP 5000, it being a statue-like man that could phase halfway through walls and then wait for prey... unfortunately the wall it was currently in happened to be a median in the middle of the road, which was way too small to house the whole of its body, as it was as big as 9 feet. And it looked to be pretty grumpy, too.
"Alright, time to see how to help, as according to how my game went... looks like the only thing different is that they've become SCPs and that's all... yeesh, this is going to be the death of me," I frowned aloud before I then smacked myself in the head. "No! Bad Crepe! No narrating your life!" I frowned at myself before then going over to 096 and 066, the duo of them looking at me as I approached.
"Excuse me?" I said, the woman crying some more as the toy-i-fied Max continued to roll.
"Fiona? Fiona..." he said before Fiona then spoke.
"What do you want, Cooper?" she asked, me now knowing from her voice that it happened to be the librarian from school, just like in the game.
"Do you need some help with something?" I asked, her then grabbing me with her elongated hands and speaking to me.
"LOOK AT ME! I'm hideous! And if anyone sees my face, I lose all control and eat them like they were hard candy! And look what happened to my husband!" she shouted, pointing at 066 and him continuing to roll around aimlessly.
"I see that... is there anything that I could do? I kind of need the paper bag," I said, knowing that much was for the main story.
"Sure, if you don't mind me going into a horrible fit and killing anyone I see! What do you propose that I do about that, huh?!" she asked, me then thinking about that before getting an idea.
"I think I could try to find you a complete disguise to make sure you don't get seen in this current look. I just need to find a football helmet, a mask, and a blanket with a hole in it and I could be able to hide you from being seen," I said, her sniffing at that.
"And what about Max? How do you propose I fix my beloved?" she asked.
"That's what I'm trying to figure out how to do. I've gotten a lead that there may be a cure that could be used by someone called Professor Ravenfire... and I also think I have something in my backpack that I could try out," I said as I rooted through it and pulled out the formula that I'd pocketed from the lab and saw that it happened to be something I gawked at.
"Whoa, wait wait wait, what the?!" I gawked at the formula as I then read it out loud. ""Antidote for SCP -12. A single drop will cure SCP transformations!" But it looks like this vial seems to have just a few drops left in it... I guess Doctor Scoops was testing it out on other people before I infiltrated the lab. At least none of that gunk got inside of the bottle," I smiled as I saw it was air-tight sealed.
"You have the cure right there, and you're not going to give it to me?" the librarian asked, me sighing at that.
"We need to think of the long-term here, Miss Fiona. We need to get a large enough batch of this stuff to fix the entire town! Anything that touches that green stuff and is 30 years or older can turn into an SCP, and that includes wildlife for sure! We need to figure out how to make more, but to do so, we need to get it reverse-engineered by Ravenfire, who currently lives in the next town over. Once I get to her place, I promise you that I will make enough to cure everyone... but until then, I need to give you a temporary fix, and that means that your husband's going to need to just grin and bear it while I get you a proper disguise. We clear?" I said in a very long string of sentences, her then nodding at that.
"Fine... you said I'd need a mask, a football helmet, and a blanket, then? Where do you suppose you'll get all those things?" she asked.
"I can probably find the helmet back at the destroyed school, the bandanna from the bad side of town, and the blanket from one of the abandoned buildings... just gotta hope that this SCP crap doesn't apply to inanimate objects, too," I shuddered.
"I hope so, too..." she said as I then went and backtracked to the houses that lined the street by the conspiracy theorist's place and had a feeling that I may find something in either the abandoned murder house... or the one that was used for drug dealing. I ultimately decided on the murder house first and proceeded to open the door... and then, when I did? I immediately shut it. Why? It was 087, the endless staircase.
"Oho, no, not this hellhole," I frowned as I then proceeded to grab something heavy (a nearby dresser) and slammed it down with, get this, my mind! Yeah, I could use telekinesis like Cooper in the main game I made, done just like in the dream sequence! And if used on a person, or an animal, you could read their minds. I then proceeded to grab a spray can that was outside the house and wrote on GIANT letters. "DO NOT ENTER. UNSAFE!" And once I did that, I then proceeded to the west to the active wires and proceeded to use the backyard of this stupid SCP house in order to reach the one on the other side. The one used for drug dealers. I opened this one, and what am I met with? The interior was very ransacked and there were two different things on the ground. One was... a creepy doll that I KNEW would be bad news if I were around it too long, as I KNEW it was 136, which, if viewed for 20 minutes or in its vicinity for that long, I'd be getting a creepy monster girl to attack me. And the other? 085, Hand-drawn Cassie! And she was on a piece of paper and looked to be scared. A comic book page, so she was in comic book attire and was actually, get this, Sawyer's mother!
"I'll get you out of here, right stat now," I said as I then picked up Cassie's paper (it was her actual name in both SCP AND the game I made, only difference here was that the doll was a mutated drug dealer leader and Cassie was an innocent bystander) and proceeded to rush her out of the place and placed her on the ground by 087's backyard.
"Cassie, can you hear me, per chance?" I asked, her looking to be breathing in and out, as according to the text bubbles in the comic book.
"Hah... thanks... I felt that I was about to be chased... I was moving through panels of paper in that house, trying to find a way out... and then I got trapped in that room when the comic book fell on the ground. I was knocked down by a dog, and it was trying to escape... that creepy freaking doll. The dog got away and the doll was trying to get into my head... Thank whatever God there is out there that she couldn't figure out how to get into the paper," she said, me nodding at her.
"I happen to have a permission slip in my backpack, Cassie. You'll be safer in there than out in the open," I said, her nodding at that.
"Okay... thanks... but how will we communicate?" she asked. I then tried to read her mind and found I could! "It's not like he can read minds, right?"
"Actually, I can read minds," I said, her then gasping, which was, of course, depicted as "GASP!" in onomatopoeia form.
"You can?! Well, then, I'll stick with you until you can fix this crazy mess! You could probably find some supplies in that house, being a drug ring and all, just, whatever you do, DON'T stay in that doll's room for too long. 20 minutes and you're going to have the worst nightmare ever... she was just hovering above my comic book... MENACINGLY!" Cassie said before then moving through the picture and to the paper in my backpack, me feeling it, as her being on the permission slip added at least a pound of extra weight in it.
"Now time to get into that house and get something... as for the doll, we need to find a way to destroy it... Maybe I can do something from outside the house," I said as I then tried to use mind reading on the doll from outside.
"Damn that stupid hermaphrodite! I was just about to have some food," the voice of the doll creature said, me gawking at the voice it had. It sounded both creepy, yet seductive at the same time. "When they come in, I'm not going to take any chances. I'm just going to kill them outright!"
"That doesn't really seem to have much sport in it, now does it?" I asked with my own mind to her, which made the doll entity gasp.
"W-What?! Where are you?! I heard your voice, but I can't... wait... you're pscyhic?"
"Yes, I am. And you were about to hurt an innocent woman. What did she do to you?" I frowned.
"She was on my turf! This is the headquarters of the Dank Druggers, and no one else may enter! And that includes..." the ghost said before then appearing in front of me the moment I blinked, me then screaming in shock at the sight of the many teeth. "You!" she growled after I screamed, but I then stammered and just backed up as I spoke again, the creepy ghost woman following all the while.
"Hold it, m-maybe we can work something out, right? Surely if I become a member of the Dank Druggers, I'd be allowed f-full access, right?" I asked, that making the freaky floating woman to stop in place and to then simply land on the ground and turn to look... nicer?
"You want to be a member? Peh, is that just a ruse to get me on your good side?" she asked.
"No, no, I've heard of the Dank Druggers before. You steal from other drug gangs and then give those drugs to the police and the pharmacies that they were stolen from. So, if you happened to be in the headquarters... you must be Madame Hufferman, right? Mark Hufferman's mother?" I asked, using Cooper's memories to my advantage. The creepy ghost gawked at me saying this, but did it with a normal mouth instead of the freak show one.
"You know of my son?... He went on the field trip and... it's done in 4 days... fine, you want to prove yourself? I've heard that the gunk that caused all this mess, including giving me this awesome ability to scare the bejeezus out of anyone I want, and kill people just by the fear I induce on them!... ahem... the green gunk is hoping to be studied by some no-good gang of hooligans on the bad side of town, the Haltman crime family," she said. Yep, so far, this was going as the game depicted. "If you can detain those punks and then use this thing here," she said as she handed me a piece of the cloth on the doll's body. "Then I'll come running and give them a hard interrogation. I need to find out what's in that compound so I can find a cure... almost my entire gang were under 30 and were idiots, and all of them became as dumb as dogshit. I need to find out how the serum works to make a cure. You in?" she asked, me smiling at that.
"Not only will I stop them, but I'd also like to ask if I could take you with me to Undertown," I said, which made her confused. "See, there's a scientist over there that actually knows how to make the antidote, according to what I heard from her nephew. And I have a small sample of it on my person that I swiped from the lab, but it's only a few drops, which I need her to reverse-engineer a true antidote to spread across the water supply in town," I smiled.
"Genius! I see that psychic mind came from you being intelligent! Fine, but we do still need to stop the Haltman's from using that green gunk for evil. Until you can stop them, I'm staying at the HQ. Once you get their members halted, I'll let you in the gang and I'll also allow you to have anything you want from the HQ. But yes, I will also travel with you via the doll from then on so I can help this professor... it wouldn't happen to be Ravenfire, would it?"
"First try? Impressive," I smiled. "But before I do this, I want you to apologize to Cassie. She was just trying to find a way out of that house, as she can only travel through paper and she was trapped in the comic book after you scared the dog away," I said, her nodding at that.
"I apologize, Cassie. I'm very territorial with my HQ, as, though I am doing things for good, it is still illegal and I don't need no witnesses," Madame Hufferman said, which Cassie then sighed and then spoke to me via me reading her mind.
"Tell her that I forgive her, but I still don't trust her," she thought to me, which I then relayed the message.
"As well you should," Hufferman said before then retreating back into the HQ. And just in time to scare the hell out of a cheerleader that happened to be an idiot. And when she saw her? She screamed and then ran for the hills towards the school.
"Man, I'd hate to be at that house for Halloween. No treats, only tricks," I sighed in relief. I felt I'd have quite a few nightmares from that, but I just had to grin and bear it. And, as well as that, hope I didn't come across anymore monsters that were able to mess with your head. Like the bell that you shouldn't hear, the note that demands you finish the song with blood, and even worse, the predators that lured you with sounds of lost loved ones. And now it was time to go to the bad side of town, which was located to the west of Mothercluckin' Chicken and Rod's Pizza. But before I did that, I needed to grab a weapon to protect myself from the bad guys. And I knew just the weapon I could use against druggies.
"Oh, Senor Cleanfist~!" I sung out loud, which got the clean man to arrive from hearing his name called.
"What is it that you require, citizen? My cleanliness is impeccable lately!" he smiled widely as I saw that he was actually producing suds and soap from his body. Made sense for him, since he was super clean.
"I need your help to 'clean up' crime on the bad side of town. Specifically, the Haltman crime family," I smiled.
"Aha! A great idea! But unfortunately, I cannot be of assistance in that, as they are most certainly dangerous!" he said, me shaking my head at him.
"Are you saying you, Senor Cleanfist, cleanest man in all of Netherton, do not want to assist in cleaning something? That's blasphemy! Think of how much safer the streets would be if you helped clean up crime with your new super powers! And I could be your sidekick, Brain Freeze!" I smiled, which Cleanfist smiled at.
"Hahaha! I love your enthusiasm, young recruit! You are absolutely right! Never fear, good citizens of Netherton! Senor Cleanfist is here to clean up crime! Away!" he shouted, me chasing after him. It was time to beat the suds into the crime family... and hope that they weren't SCPs that were dangerous.
