Planet Ryloth invaded! Subjected to a brutal droid occupation, the people of Ryloth are starving under the blockade of a Separatist fleet. Evil Separatist leader Wat Tambor now rules with an iron Fist. Answering a plea from the Senate, the Grand Army of the Republic mounts a bold offensive to liberate the system. It is up to John Bertrand, May Kirtman, Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka to make way for Obi-Wan's ground assault...

Before the Republic fleet jumped into hyperspace, John walked up to Anakin and said, "Looks like you'll be with us again, Anakin." Anakin nodded his head and said, "Yes, but you'll be in command of the battle, I'll just be there to assist when I am needed." John smiled and said, "Good, I want your opinion on something." when Anakin asked him, "What is it?" John told him, "I want your opinion about letting your Padawan lead the fighter group." ANakin smiled and said, "I was thinking the exact same thing." John smiled and said, "Perfect." The two then walked to Ahsoka and John told her, "Ahsoka you'll be in command of the fighter squadron with May being your second in command." Ahsoka looked at her Master, and Anakin said, "I agree with him, Snips. You're ready for this assignment." smiling, the Tortuga Padawan told the Jedi commanders, "I won't let you two down."

Orbiting Ryloth in a Lucrehulk-class Battleship, the commander of the Separatist blockade fleet, a Neimoidian named Captain Mar Tuuk was on a call with Wat Tambor who asked him, "Captain, are you prepared?" Captain Tuuk told him that their blockade was impenetrable. Saying when the republic attacks, they would be in for a surprise. Wat Tambor told the Nimoidian, "I'm counting on you, Captain. We can not allow the Republic to invade this planet." Wat Tambor then ended the transmission. On board the Palkia, Ash walked onto the bridge with accompanying admiral Yularen.

"Sir, we're coming out of hyperspace." Said a bridge crew clone. Ash looked at him and said, "Let's get the shields ready, raise them up and prepare for battle." That was when the Palkia and the resolute led two other venators out of hyperspace. That was when Yularen spoke into an intercom, "All ships prepare to launch." In her Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor, Ahsoka was doing a final check as her Astromech, R7-A7, got loaded into her Astromech port. Ahsoka told R7, "This is my first time commanding a squadron, R7. Let's make a good impression."

"You're not nervous are you?" R7 asked in beeps and boops, Making Ahsoka say, "Of course I'm not nervous." That was when Anakin and John walked up to her as Anakin said, "Hey Snips. This is it, your first command. Don't be nervous." That made Ahsoka a little ticked and said, "I wish everyone would stop saying that." John chuckled before he said to her, "Ahsoka, the men you're commanding are depending on you with their lives." Ahsoka jokingly said, "Thanks, that takes the pressure off. If I wasn't nervous before, I sure am now" John then said, "Just remember that May will be flying alongside you as your second in command. Listen to the advice she gives." Then Anakin said, "Plus, we have faith in you. We wouldn't send you out there if we didn't think you could handle it."

"Good luck Padawan, and may the force be with you." John said before he and Anakin walked off. Ahsoka said to herself, "I won't let you down… I hope." May giggled from her own Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor as they powered their starfighters up. Doing more checks, Ahsoka said, "Okay, you boys ready?" A clone came back and he said, "This is Two—Axe. Ready when you are, skipper." then another clone said, "Ready on three. This is Slammer, over." as he got his Canopy closed. A third clone said, "Ready on four. Kickback checking in, over." Then a fourth clone said, "Swoop to Blue Leader, Group two is standing by, over." Finally a fifth clone said, "Tucker on five. Waiting for Mother bird, over." Then May said, "Second in command, Ready Ahsoka, let's go to work." Ahsoka smiled before leading the fighters out of the Palkia's Hanger as the clones got their V-19 Torrent Starfighters locked into attack position.

On the Lucrehulk, Captain Tuuk told a Droid commander to launch their fighters. As the Vulture Droids took off and flew towards the Republic fighters. On the bridge of the Palkia, Anakin and John arrived and Anakin told the admirals, "Tell Ahsoka the fleet is ready." Ash nodded his head and told Ahsoka, "Tano, you're all clear." Making Ahsoka say, "Thank you admiral. Keep the cruisers back until we've softened them up. Well, R7, are you ready for some action?" R7 gave her affirmative beeps before Ahsoka said, "Axe, keep your squadron back and wait for my signal."

"You got it boss." Said Axe before his squadron slowed down. Ahsoka then said, "Here we go." before she accelerated her starfighter to engage the Vulture Droids with the rest of her squadron. From the republic fleet, John and the others watched as the fighters engaged the Vulture droids. That was when Serena, wearing a now Republic Officer's uniform walked up to her husband and held his hand as a man on the comlink said, "Dropped another bogey." followed by, "You are clear, you are clear." then, "Nice work, Blue five." next was, "Two new targets closing." on the Lucrehulk, Captain Tuuk was looking at a hologram picture of the Resolute and he said, "That is General Skywalker's flagship. He is leading this attack."

"Sir, their fighters are closing fast." Said one B1 Battledroid told the Captain. Captain Tuuk then said, "Patience. Let's see what trickery the Jedi have planned for us." Back in her starfighter, Ahsoka was shooting down Vulture droids with May behind her. Ahsoka then said, "We got their fighters occupied. Axe, time for us to make a run for the battleship." with Axe's group, Axe said, "Come on, you whiners. Let's get dirty." he then led his fighters towards the Lucrehulk. In the command center, a B1 Battledroid said, "Sir, a squadron of fighters are attacking. They have a clear path right to us."

"Now is the time to bring in our reinforcements." Captain Tuuk said before the droids made the call, four more Munificent-class heavy frigates jumped out of hyperspace and joined the blockade. On the Resolute, A Clone bridge officer said, "Admirals, four more enemy cruisers have joined the blockade." Yularen told the Jedi, "we;ve got to warn those fighters." before Ash contacted Ahsoka and said, "Ahsoka we've been caught in a trap." Ahsoka told Ash, "You're overreacting, Admiral Ketchum. I can get us through." Ash frowned as Yularen said, "Commander Tano pull back now!" Ahsoka ignored him and led her fighters onward as she said, "Blue Squadron, stay the course."

"We're all set, Blue Leader." Tucker said as he and the others followed Ahsoka. May told Ahsoka, "Ahsoka we have to pull back." Ahsoka told her, "You can, we're taking out that command ship." May, John, and Anakin were shocked to hear her say that as Yularen told her, "I'm ordering you to return to the ship. We're going to need your help." but she kept pushing up. Anakin told her it was too risky and told her to get her pilots out of there. After a while John saw that the Vulture Droids had their fighters surrounded as a clone said, "She's not turning around." that made Yularen ask Anakin, "did you train her not to follow orders?" Soon Vulture droids began to attack the venators. John slammed his first into the top and shouted, "Padawan Tano! Fall back! That is a direct order from the commander in charge of this operation. Do I make myself clear?!"

"All right, all right." Ahsoka said before she took her Squadron back to the command ship. The guns on the venators all opened up to shoot down the Vulture droids, but there were too many and several were slamming directly into the hull. Ash ordered deflector shields to be intensified, but a bridge clone said, "There are too many. We can't shoot them all down. Yularen asked Ahsoka where the fighters were. That made Ahsoka say, "Cool your jets, Admiral. We're almost there." John gritted his teeth as a Padawan should not talk to a superior like that. But then a Vulture Droid was heading to the bridge, and they ran from the window right before the droid slammed into it. All the Venators were taking kamikaze hits from the enemy fighters as Ahsoka said, "Admiral, come in. Admiral." ON the bridge, Ash and Yularen were both out cold, Ash also had a piece of shrapnel in his side. John and Serena were with Ash as ANakin was with Yularen and he told him, "Hang on, Admiral." Yularen told Anakin, in a forced voice, "Get us out of here."

"Get those fighters on board and prepare for lightspeed now!" shouted John as Serena held her husband close to her. The Venators then turned away from Ryloth as one venator, the Redeemer, was too badly damaged and broke apart, costing the crew their lives. Rex ordered all fighters to return and told them they were preparing for lightspeed. Ahsoka told her squadron to step on it, but Axe's Power converters failed and three vulture droids took him out. Ahsoka, May, and two fighters were the only ones who got into the Resolute. John looked at the crew on the bridge and said, "Jump to lightspeed." and the three remaining cruisers jumped into hyperspace.

Later, in the hangar of the Resolute, John and Anakin were with two clone pilots as they ordered the clones to get their squad together, and that they needed a head count. The Jedi needed to know how many they lost in that battle. The clone pilots nodded their heads and walked off. Anakin and John looked at Ahsoka who was sitting on her fighter's wing asR7 was being taken out of her astromech port. John sighed as Anakin walked over to his Padwan, John followed in step. Reaching the Tortuga Padawan, Anakin started off by saying, "Ahsoka, I am very disappointed in you." John nodded his head and said, "As am I. Though if anything I am partially to blame for this. I suggested you lead the fighters."

"Besides that, not only did you disobey the admirals, both Ash and Yularen. You disobeyed Me and Master Bertrand as well." Anakin said to his Padawan. That was when John spotted Serena walking to them, blaster in hand and May in tow. John left the Master and Padawan to stop Serena. He grabbed her and pulled her into a hug. At first she tried to get free, but soon she couldn't and cried in his arms. Ahsoka looked and got John's attention when she said, "I thought I could knock out those battleships so when Master Obi-Wan arrived, he could get through." Anakin put his hands on his sides and said, "I know you meant well, Snip, but there's a bigger picture that you're not aware of."

"YOU KNOW SHE MEANT WELL?! SHE SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM HERE! ASH ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF YOU AHSOKA…" was what Serena shouted before John took her gun and stunned her. Handing her to May and told her to take her to Ash. May nodded her head and took Serena away as John walked up to Anakin and Ahsoka. He then said, "First rule of war Ahsoka; Listen and obey your superiors." Anakin agreed with him before Ahsoka looked between the two jedi and said, "But sometimes you two get carried away." Anakin then told her, "All that means is that we understand what you're going through."

"Me specifically…" John said as he used the force to pull an unused crate to him to sit on it. He sat down and told the Jedi, "back before I even heard of a Jedi. I was a teenager who was thrusted into leading a small force of fighters against my home world's greatest threat. We were having nothing but wins… until one day we lost a lot of men, both killed and captured. I always blamed myself for it and thought I couldn't lead anymore." John thought back to his worst defeat in his life before the Poké Republic. He then said, "But that was when a voice came to me, told me that I have to learn from the mistakes I make and carry on. I listened to the voice and I led a united uprising against the enemy forces. Then I felt peace, until I was uprooted from it and forced into war again. Then the enemy made me lose my memory and well… the rest is history."

"And like you, I failed." Ahsoka said as she looked at the ground. Anakin replied, "It was a trap, Snips. It wasn't your fault." John nodded his head and Ahsoka said, "I lost so many of my pilots." John looked at her and said, "Take heart, little one. Losing soldiers, Pilots, officers, anyone who is looking to you to protect them, that's all the reality of being in command." Ahsoka still looked down at the ground as Rex and Nitro approached them and Nitro said, "General, we're approaching our staging area." John thanked the commander before Rex said, "Master Windu is requesting a report on our progress."

Later on, at the holotable, Anakin, John, Rex, and Nitro were on call with Masters Windu and Kenobi as John explained what was happening. John told them, "they caught us off guard, Master Windu. They let our fighters get far enough away from the cruisers before four more Munificent-class heavy frigates jumped out of hyperspace and joined the blockade. We were… outnumbered." Obi-Wan asked them how many men did they lose, John told him and Windu, "We lost a Cruiser, the Redeemer. The Defender's taken severe damage. The Palkia and Resolute are still able to fight, plus, we lost an entire squadron of fighters. Ahsoka and two of her men were able to make it back, but she's taking it hard about what happened to Yularen and Ash."

"Any updates on Admiral Ketchum?" Mace asked John, John told him, "The Shrapnel pierced his stomach, but it wasn't too deep. He'll pull through. Serena is going to be a different story. Since Ash and she are married, she blames Ahsoka for her husband's injury." Obi-Wan nodded his head and said, "Give her time, but John, Anakin, you both will need her help if you're going to get through this." That was when Mace said, "Your forces have been cut nearly in half Bertrand. If you can't break that blockade before the next planetary rotation, we will have to postpone the invasion."

"The Twi'leks on that planet can't wait forever, Master." Anakin told Master Windu and he continued to speak before a clone walked up to them and said to John, "Sir, the Retrofits are done on the ships." John smiled and said, "Good to hear, how's the defender looking?" The clone told him, "there are structural problems and they think she won't last long. John nodded before he realized the transmission ended and heard Anakin tell Rex to find Ahsoka. In the medical room where Yularen and Ash were, Ahsoka sat near Yularen as a Medical droid told her that they were both stable. She nodded her head and heard a voice say, "thank you." looking behind her, she saw Serena. Ahsoka then looked away as Serena walked to Ash before she said, "I would like to apologize for my behavior earlier in the Hangar."

"No Madam Ketchum, your anger was justified… I almost killed the admirals… got my squadron killed… there isn't enough time to say how sorry I am…" Ahsoka said before Serena put a hand on her shoulder and sat across from her. She then said, "I understand the feeling. I know John was telling you about how he could relate to you. Now it's my turn. In my home Region on my home world, there were small pockets of enemy resistance against our freed army. I was leading a patrol down a path command advised not to go down. I went down it anyway and I led my men into a killzone. They all died but me, I got reprimanded by the higher ups, but John and Ash were some of the few who stood up for me. Ash was my husband, and John was the brother I never had." She then held her husband's hand as she continued, "My reaction in the Hangar was because my husband and his best friend were hurt, I do trust you Ahsoka. Try and learn from what happened."

That was when the door opened again and Rex told Ahsoka that Anakin and John were looking for her. After she walked out of the room, Ash groaned and sat up. Serena held his hand and held him close as Yularen also opened his eyes. In the Hangar, Anakin, R2, and John were working on Ahsoka's fighter as she approached them and put her hand on the little blue Astromech. She said, "You wanted to see me, Masters?" John got out of the cockpit and said to her, "He wanted to see you, I want to make sure you're ok." Anakin then asked Ahsoka to hand him a spark plug before she said, "On, I'm fine, Master Bertrand, just fine." John smiled as Anakin said, "That's good to hear. We're gonna need you level headed if we're gonna pull this thing off."

"Pull this off? Pull what off?" AHsoka asked the two masters. John told her, "we spoke to Master Windu. We are to proceed with our attack on the blockade." Ahsoka was speechless and said, "What? Uh… We can't! I, I, I…" John placed a hand on her shoulder and said, "Ahsoka, we have to break the blockade. The Twi'leks down there are depending on us to free them." Ahsoka then said, "I understand that, Master Bertrand, but we've lost so many men." She then asked if we got more support. Anakin told her that they would have to make do with the forces they had on hand. Then John said, "The other clone Legions under my command are 2 jumps away, but like Anakin said, we have to make do with what we have on hand now."

"Yes… and I need to come up with a plan." Anakin added on, making Ahsoka shout, "You don't even have a plan?!" Anakin told her not to worry. But then Ahsoka said, "No! That's what you said last time, and now everyone's gone, my whole squadron." John sensed the anger in her and said, "Calm down Ahsoka." But Ahsoka wasn't having any of it and she told John, "I will NOT calm down! You have the knowledge about this. YOU KNEW I WAS GOING TO FAIL! WHY DID YOU PUT ME IN COMMAND OF THE FIGHTERS WHEN YOU KNEW I'D LOSE MY WHOLE SQUADRON?! FOR A JEDI OF THE FUTURE WITH KNOWLEDGE, YOU CAN MAKE STUPID DECISIONS!"

"Ahsoka." Anakin said to try and stop his padawan, but she kept going by adding, "We can't just smash through that blockade." Soon John's Comlink was going off. When he answered it, John said, "Bertrand and SKywalker here." The person contacting them was Rex and he said that the Defender was contacting them and that there seems to be a problem. John told Rex, "we'll be right there Rex." John ended the call, looked at Ahsoka and said, "Go back to your quarters and cool off, Padawan Tano. That is an order." Ahsoka said nothing as she walked off. Anakin looked at John and said, "Was she right though?" John looked at him and said, "You know she's right. But the knowledge I keep from sharing is so that the timeline doesn't get altered too much. Thinking about what she said, I got an idea."

On the bridge, John contacted the captain of the Defender and asked, "How's she looking?" the Captain told him, "No good sir, we have to scuttle her." John shook his head and said, "Negative, get all the clones and as much supply you can get onto the Resolute and Palkia. Make sure the shields, Engines, and Hyperdrive are all still in working order." The Defender's Captain nodded his head and they ended the call. Rex and Nitro looked at John and Rex asked, "Why are you doing that sir?" John looked at him and said, "It's an idea I got from Ahsoka. I need all available clones to help make room in the hangar of this ship.

Later, John and Anakin were directing clones as Ahsoka approached them and said, "Masters? I'm almost afraid to ask." John told her, "we ordered the Defender to be evacuated." Ahsoka said she could see that and asked why, Anakin told her, "Actually, he got the idea from you." that made Ahsoka say, "Oh, great." John ordered Rex and Nitro to take over as they walked with Ahsoka to a transport and John said, "You said we couldn't just smash through the blockade. I decided that's partially true." Then Anakin took over by saying, "You also implied that our plans put a lot of people at risk, and he and I agree with you on that one."

"Him more than me." John added on. John then said, "The only way we're gonna break that blockade is if Anakin and I take the Defender and smash it into the battleship, and take out their commander." Ahsoka asked, "What?" before John told her, "This way, only two people are at risk. Besides, the Defender is damaged already. Plus if that doesn't work. I call in, Plan B." Then Ahsoka said, "You can't be serious, Master. You'll die!" but Anakin said, "No, we won't. That's where you come in. The enemy can't stop that ship from taking them out. John, R2, and I will get in an escape Pod and Jettison right before impact." Ashoka then pointed out how close the Enemy fleet would be and John said, "I know, and we'll pretty much be defenseless in an Escape pod. So we're counting on you to engage the remaining fleet with the combined forces we have left."

"Masters… I uh…. I can't. If something goes wrong, I can't be responsible for…" Ahsoka started out by saying, but John cut her off by saying, "You are responsible, Ahsoka. These men are depending on you, and this time, so are me and Anakin." Ahsoka tried to argue again but John got the clones' attention and he said to them, "All right, men, listen up. Commander Skywalker and I will be taking over the Defender, and we're leaving Commander Ahsoka in charge with Commander May as her second in command. They'll lead the second half of the mission when we engage what's remaining of the blockade."

"Try and leave some ships for us, General." Nitro said as Rex cracked his knuckles. John chuckled as Anakin said, "Will do Nitro. Now, Commander Ahsoka will fill you in on the full plan." Ahsoka tried to stop them but John said, "Good luck." before leading Anakin and R2 into the Nu-class attack/transport shuttle. That was when Nitro said, "Awaiting orders Commander." Ahsoka grunted and told them, "I'll be on the bridge." Later on the bridge, Ahsoka walked on, followed by May and Rex said, "Commander on deck." Ahsoka told the clones to go at ease. Getting to the holotable, Ahsoka and May were told that Anakin and John were contacting them before Anakin and John appeared as Holograms. John told them, "All right, Ahsoka. We're ready to get under way."

"Masters, are you sure you won't reconsider this?" Ahsoka asked the two Jedi Masters, to which Anakin said, "This is the only way. Trust us." They then ended the transmission from the Defender before it jumped into Hyperspace. That was when Rex said to Ahsoka, "Better fill us in, Commander." Ahsoka looked at May, who said, "John and Anakin put you in charge with me as your second in command. It's your job to tell them." Ahsoka sighed before saying, "Right…"

Back over Ryloth, in the Lucrehulk, Captain Tuuk was talking to Wat Tambor who said, "Count Dooku has assured me the Republic forces are stretched thin in our sector. They should be unable to mount a counterattack." He then pointed out that any attempt to do so would have been suicide. Captain Tuuk then said, "Still, I am certain this Skywalker will return. His ultimate defeat shall be my greatest victory." Tambor asked Captain Tuuk, "You admire Skywlaker?" and Captain Tuuk said, "As a general, yes. His record shows he is a great warrior. And I want him to know it is I who has beaten him."

"There is another Jedi, he is called Master Bertrand, Count Dooku has told me he is a cunning warrior as well. So I would watch out, Captain Tuuk." Wat Tambor said before ending the transmission. Back in the Palkia, they all moved to that ship before Rex said, "Well, I have to say, this plan is questionable." That made Ahsoka say, "Yeah, but with their general destroyed along with their battleship, the droid commanders will be in chaos." Then Nitro said, "Only temporarily, and there's still General Skywalker and General Bertrand to find in all that mess."

"I know… but…" was what Ahsoka said before a bridge clone said, "In our first attack, we had four fully armed cruisers, and we failed." That was when Rex said, "I wish the Generals had discussed the plan with us. The odds are very much against us." That was when May said, "They always are." The bridge clone then said,"Yes, but normally we have General Bertrand to lead us in…" he then looked at Ahsoka and May before he said, "I meant no offense, Commanders." Ahsoka told the clone that no offense was taken before looking at May and asked her, "Any tips?" May looked at her and said, "Sometimes you have to think outside the box in order to win battles."

With John and Anakin, the Defender had just exited Hyperspace. They saw the separatist fleet there and Anakin asked John, "Just out of Curiosity, what is Plan B?" John looked at him and said, "Something I hope to show later when it comes time for it. Let's hope this one works though." Anakin nodded his head before they contacted the Lucrehulk. After the Transmission went through, John started by saying, "Greetings, Captain Tuuk. I am John Bertrand and with me is Anakin Skywalker, Generals of the Grand Army of…" but Captain Tuuk interrupted him by saying, "I know who you two are, Bertrand."

"Well, our reputation precedes us then Anakin." John said as he looked at Anakin as he handed R2 a drive for him to plug in. John then looked at Captain Tuuk and he said, "We've been ordered to surrender ourselves, the entire crew of this vessel, and our ship in exchange for safe passage of food and Medical supplies to the people of Ryloth." Captain Tuuk put his hand on his chin and said, "A noble Gesture, Jedi. and Your capture would make me the envy of the Separatist fleet."

On the Palkia, the bridge clone said, "Sir, even if Skywalker and Bertrand are successful and they destroy the battleship, how will we stand up to the combined firepower of the remaining Frigates?" Ahsoka then said, "I've thought about that. Taking Master May's advice. I have an idea." Nitro and Rex looked at her and told her to go ahead. Ahsoka then pushed buttons as she said, "If we took the Palkia and angled her hull against the incoming frigates, the bridge and hangar deck would be relatively safe from their attack. We could draw them in and then use the bombers to outflank them. The bombers would be too fast, and they would be trapped."

"I'm not sure about this commander," said the bridge clone. Ahsoka tried to speak but Rex and the bridge clone thought the plan might not work and that they needed to take more time and plan. That was when Ahsoka looked at them and said, "No! We don't have any more time! Masters Skywalker and Bertrand need me now. They need us now." That was when a voice said, "The commander is right." and Yularen walked into the bridge with Ash following him. Then Ash said, "I agree, Yularen and I know this strategy is very bold. But as we say on my home world, Drastic times call for drastic measures." That was when the bridge clone asked, "Then the Strategy will work, sir?" Ash and Yularen looked at Ahsoka as Yularen asked, "well, will it?"

"Yes, it will." Ahsoka said as she nodded her head. Back on the Defender, R2 handed John back the drive he handed him in the first place as Anakin and he heard a B1 Battledroid told Captain Tuuk that they completed the scan of their ship. Captain Tuuk said, "And?" The B1 Battledroid then told him, "The ship is heavily damaged. All power is diverted to the forward shields. There are only two life-forms on board." Captain Tuuk looked at the B1 Battledroid before looking at the Jedi, "What treachery is this? You have nothing to bargain with." John smirked and said, "In that case, we'll be going. Oh, you can still have our ship." Captain Tuuk then looked at the Venator heading towards the Battleship as another B1 Battledroid reported that a second Republic ship had entered the system.

"She made it. Boost the engines, R2, and let's get out of here." John said to the Astromech. R2-D2 beeped as he boosted power to the Engines to get the Defender into ramming speed. Behind the Defender was the Palkia. On the bridge, Ahsoka said at the Holotable, "When those two ships collide, there'll be chaos. We need that time to get General SKywalker and General Bertrand's pod into the tractor beam." Rex and Nitro nodded their heads as Ahsoka walked off the bridge with May following her off before Ahsoka said, "I'll command the fighter squadron. Wait for my signal to begin the attack."

Back on the Defender, John and Anakin saw the Separatist ships opening fire on the Venator, which was their cue to leave the bridge. They got into an escape pod to watch the show. John then saw an escape Pod launch from the Lucrehulk right before the Defender smashed into the command Sphere. John smiled as Anakin said to R2, "See, we told you it would work." That was when AHsoka said on the Radio, "Skyguy, Master Bertrand, we're approaching your position. Standby for retrieval." John smiled as he said, "Right on time Ahsoka." Soon the Palkia spun to angle the hull towards the Separatist ships. At first they didn't move and the bridge crew thought they would abort the plan. But Ahsoka said, "Hang on boys, remember, they are droids. They're just a little slow. They'll figure it out" After a few more moments, the Frigates began to open fire on the venator as they moved in.

"Droids are attacking sir." The bridge clone said to Yularen and Ash. Ash then said, "Commander Tano, on your order, commence flanking maneuver." Ahsoka led the fighter squadrons out of the hangar with May as her gunner and she said, "Ok boys, here we go. Follow my lead." Soon the frigates were taking hits and the fighters were able to take down the Separatist ships as Anakin said, "That a girl Ahsoka." John smiled and patted Anakin's back. Soon the blockade fleet was broken as Rex contacted Ahsoka and said, "Commander, the invasion fleet is coming out of hyperspace." Then several Acclamator-class Republic assault ships jumped into the system. On the bridge of one stood Master Windu, Master Kenobi, and Max as Obi-wan contacted Ahsoka and said, "Ahsoka, this is Obi-wan. May we begin our landing?"

"Yes, Master. You're cleared for ground assault." Ahsoka told Obi-Wan, who then said, "I won't even ask where the rest of John's fleet is, or why he and Anakin are in an escape pod." making Ahsoka say, "That's probably for the best. Rex, Nitro, that reminds me. Send a shuttle to pick up Masters Skywalker and Bertrand." As the Acclamators flew towards the surface, a Republic attack shuttle flew to the escape pod John and Anakin were in as they were contacted by Nitro who asked them, "Generals, are you still there?" John simply replied, "Yup, we're here. Just watching the show." The shuttle then latched onto the escape pod and took it to the Palkia.

"Those ships look like they can be salvaged." John said with a smile. Anakin looked at John and said, "I will never understand why you find the Separatist ships amazing." John looked at Anakin before saying, "It's for the future." John then called in his legions to get the droid ships repaired and sent to his secret location. Meanwhile, Gary and Misty exited Hyperspace and flew towards a distant planet on a special mission John asked for them to do.
