Maxie's POV

After a much needed talk with Matt I went back to work, feeling a newfound pep in my step. Somehow Matt Hunter always brought that out in me, maybe we could make a good couple. One day. When I walked back into Crimson, Claudia Zacchara was sitting at my desk, her high heeled feet propped up and a smirk gracing her porcelain face.

"Ugh, what do you want?" Maxie's face twisted in disgust at the sight of her.

"Now Maxie, is that any way to talk to a friend?" Claudia's smirk grew, knowing she was getting under Maxie's skin.

"You are nothing to me, Claudia. You're not anybody's friend, not even your brothers. I'll admit at first I liked you but, not after what you did. Not after what you did to Johnny and Lulu." Maxie shook with anger, balling her hands into fists. Maxie had spent weeks listening to Lulu grieve over her lost baby, she'd spent weeks wiping away Lulu's tears. There was no forgiveness that could justify what Claudia did.

"Maxie, I know deep down that you want Johnny. Lulu isn't going to be able to hold onto my brother, she couldn't even hold onto her baby-" Claudia started her sentence with a snarky laugh, before Maxie punched her knocking her out of her seat.

"Johnny and Lulu deserved the chance to raise their baby, what you did isn't funny. You cheated them out of something they both wanted. You didn't just hurt Lulu, you hurt Johnny too. When Johnny finds out things will never be the same between you two. Okay, maybe I had a crush on Johnny when he first came to town but...I don't see him like that anymore. Johnny is my best friends boyfriend, Johnny's my friend. That's it. Now get out of my sight before your nastiness rubs off on me!" Maxie snapped, standing over her.

"I know you're pregnant. Do you even know who the baby daddy is?" Claudia smirked, jumping to her feet.

"Of course I do, I'm not you!" Maxie snarked back.

"If you say so. Now that Spinelli is back on the market, maybe it's time I show him what a real woman is like." Claudia smirked, striding towards the door.

"Aren't you married?" Maxie raised a eyebrow.

"That doesn't concern you." Claudia threw her hair over her shoulder, leaving. Maxie pulls out her phone and dials Lulu's number, hoping she was okay.

Lulu's POV

"Oh, it's Maxie!" I dug my phone out of my pocket as Johnny and I cuddled on the couch.

"I'm sure she's worried." Johnny smiled, as Lulu put it on speaker phone.

"Hey. I'm sorry for leaving you stuck at work! Forgive me?" I was apologetic.

"You passed out Lulu, you don't have to be sorry for that. I have something to tell you guys but, I was calling to see if you two wanted something from Kelly's. I'm on my way home now." Maxie gets into her car after clocking out for the day, driving over to Kelly's.

"I wouldn't turn down food." I shrugged, looking up at Johnny.

"I'll have a bacon cheeseburger and Johnny will have Chicken Alfredo." I told her, knowing Johnny's order by heart.

"Okay, I'll see you two in a minute." Maxie hung up the phone. About twenty minutes later Maxie walked into the apartment trying to balance holding to go boxes, drinks, her purse and her keys.

"Let me help you with that." Johnny jumps up, taking the boxes and drinks from her.

"Thank you." Maxie sighed, putting her bag down before sinking down into her chair.

'I am pregnant with Matt's baby." Maxie blurted out, Lulu almost spit out her sweet tea.

"I'm sorry?" Johnny asked, wondering if he'd heard her right.

"I know you guys probably don't want to hear that right now with everything going on but, I found out today." Maxie sighed, hating to pile this on them.

"Maxie, don't worry about that. This is about you, not us. Have you told Matt? What did he say?" Lulu shakes her head, putting her cup down.

"When I got out of my appointment, Matt was rushing to the OR. I texted him telling him I needed to talk to him when he had a chance. I don't know what to even think. I'm not ready for this, I don't make enough money for this. Can I just give the baby to you, Lulu?" Maxie was clearly in distress.

"Max, everything will be okay. Matt's a stand up guy, I have complete faith that you two will rock this. You're going to be a wonderful mother, I know it's scary but...you'll be okay. Everything will fall into place, it always does." Lulu grabbed Maxie's hands in hers.

"You know Lulu and I will be here for you every step of the way." Johnny added, giving the girls their space.

"You're right, you're right. By the way, I kind of punched Claudia." Maxie figured she'd tell them before Claudia did.

"What?" Both Lulu and Johnny laughed at her statement.

"I just got so tired of her dumb lies that I just swung, I think she deserved it. Claudia showed no remorse for what she did to you guys! I couldn't take it anymore!" Maxie explained and, Lulu slowly nodded.

"I didn't think she would." That hit Lulu right in the gut. Claudia had taken away her baby and was making snarky comments about it.

"Claudia also said she's gonna take a run at Spinelli." Maxie mutters.

"What?" Lulu and Johnny looked at each other.

"Yeah. Ugh, what a day." Maxie leaned her head back against the chair.

- The next morning -

Lulu's POV

I woke up feeling sick again, I tripped out of bed trying to get out of the bed so I could make it to the bathroom to vomit into the toilet. I gripped the toilet seat, retching into it. I felt Johnny tug my hair into a ponytail, typing my hair back for me. Johnny squatted down behind me rubbing my back, as I continued to get sick.

"I think I need to go back to the hospital. I swear I'm about to black out." I gasped, my forehead slick with sweat, as my body sagged against the bathroom wall.

"I'll take you to the hospital." Johnny nodded helping me to stand.

"I want to brush my teeth." I sighed, stumbling towards the sink and brushing my teeth. Stumbling back into the bedroom I grabbed a black sweater, black jeans and slipped on my boots.

"Are you ready?" Johnny grasped her hand.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Lulu nods as they go to the car. They arrive at the hospital mere minutes later, it wasn't very crowded.

"Hey!" Robin Drake says, spotting the two making their way over to the nurse's station. Right as Lulu was about to speak, darkness overtook her and she felt herself falling.

Johnny's POV

"I'll take her back and come back to you when I know what's wrong." Robin slid Lulu onto a gurney and wheeled her back to an empty room.

"Back again?" Matt Hunter asked, raising his cup of coffee to his lips.

"Yeah." Johnny sighed.

"Maxie told me the news...I just want you guys to know that I'm going to take care of her. I know that you and Lulu care very much about her, as do I. I hope Lulu's okay." Matt wanted to clear the air, he knew Johnny probably wasn't his biggest fan.

"Good. Just to be clear I don't hate you, I hate the situation. Things happen though. I think that Maxie really likes you, I'm glad you two talked. I do too, this is the second day we've been here." Johnny was worried about his girlfriend.

"I understand completely. I really like Maxie, I hope she feels the same way I feel about her. I'll go check on Lulu and see if there are any updates."

Lulu's POV

I blinked awake hearing beeping and saw that I had an IV in my arm, I glanced around the hospital room as my eyes adjusted to the fluorescent light.

"How are you feeling?" I heard someone ask, I looked up and came face to face with Matt Hunter.

"I've been better." I yawned.

"Were you aware that you are pregnant?" Matt asked her, glancing at her chart.

"I...I...am?" I choked out in shock.

Johnny's POV

"Young Zacchara! Just the person I was looking for." Luke Spencer smirked, dropping into the seat beside me.

"Hey Luke." I chuckled, wondering what he was doing here.

"I had something to run by you. Cupcake told me that you had walked away from your family." Luke turned to him.

"I'm listening." I nodded.

"I'm opening up the haunted star again and I'd love my old partner back." Luke smirked at his daughters boyfriend.

"Are you serious? I'd love to. I'm not going to lie we've been stressing about money, thank you Luke." Johnny hadn't been expecting this at all.

"Ah, it's nothing. I need something to occupy my attention anyway." Luke waved him off.

"Where is my cupcake?" Luke noticed that Lulu wasn't with Johnny.

"Lulu was really sick so I brought her to the hospital, I'm waiting on an update. Did she...tell you about the miscarriage?" Johnny fumbled around the word miscarriage.

"No, she didn't. Elizabeth mentioned it to me, because she was concerned. How is she doing with it? How are YOU doing with it? This isn't a easy thing to cope with." Luke had never went through this so he wasn't sure how much he would be but, he would try.

"I...will never look at my sister the same way again. I'll never forgive her for killing our baby. It sent Lulu into a depressive freefall for weeks. I truly want nothing to do with my family. It still...hits both of us hard." Johnny took a breath before he answered Luke's questions.

"I hate to think of my daughter hurt, it's every father's fear. When he can't take away his little girls pain. I knew Claudia was a royal bitch but, I didn't expect this from her." Luke shakes his head.

"Lulu wants a baby, I want to be able to give that to her. I want to give her my mother's ring...can I have your blessing to ask your daughter to marry me?"
