Johnny's POV
"I'm going to bed, I need my beauty rest. I love you, mommy. Goodnight Johnny." Charlotte threw a hand over her shoulder, jogging to the room she was staying in.
"Sometimes I don't know if she's my daughter or Maxie's daughter." Lulu chuckled, pecking me on the lips.
"She's your carbon copy." I smirked, it was true that Charlotte was her mother's twin.
"I have something to tell you. It's not good, it's not good at all. I have a headache." I groaned, sinking into the couch.
"Oh no. What's wrong? Are you okay?" Johnny instinctively felt my forehead, as he sat beside me.
"Oh, you're sweet. I'm okay, well physically. It's Maxie. You remember Nathan. Right?" I sighed, turning my body to face him.
"Pretty boy? Yeah, I remember him." Johnny mutters.
"Charlotte saw him kiss Valerie last week, and Nathan told Dante that he'd been having sex with Valerie. Dante told me. Maxie already thought all of this, on top of that she had two kids to raise and something is wrong with her heart. I know I have to tell her what's going on, I just feel so bad for her." Words spilled out of my mouth, unable to keep this in any longer.
"I should beat his ass-" Johnny started but, Lulu reached out to touch his arm.
"Don't do that, please. My nerves are tore up." Lulu sighs, brushing her hair back from her face.
"Sonny stopped by." Johnny changed the subject.
"Oh no." Lulu winced knowing the bad blood between them.
"We're working together." Johnny wanted to assure her that they weren't fighting.
"You are? Really?" Lulu gives her boyfriend a sideways glance.
"I know, it's hard to believe. I can barely believe it myself but, it was Sonny's idea. He wanted to extend an invitation to his and Carly's Halloween party." Johnny chuckled at her expression, kissing her cheek.
"Well, I think it's good. It's good that you two can finally put everything behind you. Charlotte picked out our costumes, we're going as the Addams Family." Lulu smiled, leaning her head against his chest lovingly.
"Ahhh the epic of all Halloween movies." Johnny smirked, stroking her hair.
Charlotte's POV
Once I was in my room I immediately dialed Rocco's number, he had been blowing my phone up so badly that I'd gotten annoyed so I turned it off.
"What do you want, dork?" I didn't give him a chance to say hello.
"I see you can't return a text." Rocco sounded annoyed.
"I was too busy enjoying our mother being out of her coma, which is more than I can say for you." I wasn't about to be harassed by a boy who still sucked his thumb.
"She's with a criminal. Char, I don't want to be around that. I'm not coming to see her until she's away from all of that." Rocco's face twisted in disgust.
"I don't know what your dumb ass daddy told you but, this isn't about how you feel. It's mom's relationship, she's never going to get back together with Dante. She actually said those words to me today. Johnny's really not that bad, just give him a chance. Don't you think mom deserves to be happy?" Charlotte shakes her head again, why couldn't he see past himself?
"My dad never lied, Johnny's record speaks for itself. What, just because your daddy died you need a new one? You're so gullible, Char." Rocco taunted her, he'd turned into a real jerk in these past two years.
"Fuck what your daddy says AND FUCK YOU!" Charlotte yelled at him through the phone, tears rolling down her cheeks.
Lulu's POV
All of a sudden we heard a loud "FUCK YOU!" from my daughter's room, Johnny and I glanced at each other in concern.
"Well, she is my daughter." I looked up at Johnny, wondering what was going on.
"Rocco is a spoiled entitled brat who needs to mind his own business! He's going to go around bragging to everyone that daddy is dead every chance he gets! I get that daddy stole me from you and I'm not condoning what he did but, he was still a good dad. Rocco believes everything Dante says. Rocco just tells Mom what she wants to hear yet, straight up refuses to come here! Our costumes are going to be ruined! RUINED! I cannot take him!" Charlotte burst out of her room, ranting as she stalked into the living room throwing her hands up as she spoke.
"I can't believe he would say that, I didn't raise Rocco to be a judgemental prick. I'm sorry. Something needs to be done about his mouth, you'd think Olivia would have done something by now. Valentin was a good father to you, I'll never deny that. I'm sorry that he was murdered, I know how hard this must be for you. Just know that your mama is always here and I will always love you, unconditionally. I can't force him to join us, I'll see if he comes around. If he doesn't, it'll be okay. We'll still have a great Halloween, I promise." Charlotte sat on the edge of the coffee table, I grasped her hands in mine looking into my daughter's eyes.
"Mommy, I just want to be happy again. I feel like everytime I even try... something always gets in the way!" Charlotte sniffed, clearly upset about more than her fight with Rocco.
"Charlotte, your mom's not going anywhere. I'm not trying to be your dad but, I'm here too. If you ever want me to be." Johnny met her blue eyes.
"Thank you." Charlotte gets up to hug him, surprising both Johnny and Lulu. Johnny simply hugged her back, knowing that the three of them were becoming a family.
Maxie's POV
After we got home the kids went into different directions to their bedrooms I presumed, I heard Nathan stumble the door at midnight.
"I'm tired of this, Nathan. I deserve better." I matched towards the door, crossing my arms over my chest.
"I want you out. I want all of you out. I never wanted this big family, Max. I just wanted you and me but, it's never just you and me. With Valerie I can truly be myself. I can't pretend to be the man who loves you...when I don't. Not anymore." Nathan shakes his head, breaking Maxie's heart with every word.
"Okay." Was all Maxie could say, before going to Georgie's room.
"It's happening, isn't it mom?" Her baby blue eyes looking into her mom's blue eyes.
"I'm sorry sweetie, I really am." Maxie pulled her twelve year old into a hug, kissing her head.
"I'll pack my bag, I knew it was coming." Georgie sighed getting up from the bed, disappointed.
"James is staying here." Nathan burst into Georgie's room.
"Excuse me, who takes care of James?" Maxie crossed her arms.
"I can take care of my son just fine. Take your daughter and leave."
