Charlotte's POV
When I got to school the next morning I went straight to my locker, I wondered if I was to be so bold as to tell Danny how I felt. Of course I saw Danny walk into school, he was a basketball star. Everyone loved Danny, which is another reason she was on the fence about coming clean. Danny and Charlotte had been friends for awhile, really ever since she'd come to Port Charles. Charlotte had been very confused when she'd first learned that Lulu was her mother, Lulu and Charlotte had to work their relationship from the ground up. Charlotte gave her mom props, because Charlotte hadn't always been good to her.
"Hey Charlotte." Danny leaned against the locker next to hers, a light smile on his face.
"Hey Danny, how are you?" Maybe Charlotte should start out with small talk. Right?
"Are you okay? I hate what Rocco said to you last night. I wouldn't be okay." Danny had been concerned for her when she had called him last night.
"I'll be straight, Rocco's just being a spoiled brat. I just hate that he's hurting mom, he could spend time with her. She's been gone for two years. Maybe Rocco had family but I barely did, I will spend every day with my mom. I don't care. I just think Rocco is being selfish. More than anything I'm just angry." Charlotte Wasn't lying, she was furious with Rocco.
"It's the same thing with my dad, I spent about three or four years without him...when he came back I wanted to spend every waking moment with him. It's like you're afraid their going to disappear. Rocco is being selfish, he needs to look around and see how lucky he is. Are you going to the father daughter dance?" Danny nodded along with what she was saying.
"See, you get it. How is Jason doing? I haven't seen him around. Yes I am, I asked Johnny to take me and he agreed. I was so excited." Charlotte beamed up at him, earning a laugh from Danny.
"Dad's been distant with everyone lately, even uncle Sonny. I think it has to do with mom and Dante, he's still hurt over the whole thing. Dad still loves her but, mom moved on with her life. It sucks to see him in pain. That's great, you two are really getting along. Huh?" Danny was glad to see Charlotte so happy, other than the Rocco drama.
"Aww that makes me sad, I like your dad. You know, because he's quiet and he doesn't judge me. I hope that Jason can heal sometime soon. Yeah, Johnny makes my mom really happy and I've really started to bond with him. It's great. I had something that I wanted to talk to you about. Please don't laugh at me." Charlotte frowned, she really liked Jason.
"I'll tell him your thinking about him. What is it? I'll only laugh if it's funny." Danny lightly smiled at her, wondering what was up.
"Well, I'm not going to beat around the bush. I think I like you and, I was wondering if you might like me too And want to go to homecoming together."
Matt's POV
I had finally gotten settled back into Port Charles with a new apartment, a new car and they'd even given me back my old job back...I just had to do monthly check ins with my parole officer.
"Don't you look sexy?" Lulu Spencer smirked, catching him just getting off work.
"Never as sexy as you, Miss Spencer." Matt smirked back, he had missed their friendly banter.
"If you can... could you go see Maxie? She's really going through it right now. I know that seeing you would just really make her day." Lulu frowned, knowing a visit from Matt would make Maxie's day.
"I've been meaning to come and see her, I just didn't want to interrupt her life. You know?" Matt nodded as they took the elevator downstairs.
"I understand that, trust me she will be really glad to see you." It was clear that Lulu really wanted him to go and see her, Matt wonders what Maxie had gotten herself into.
"Is it true about what I heard? You being in a coma?" Matt looked at her, she was practically glowing.
"Another thing, why are you literally sunshine? Geez Lulu, you make the rest of us look bad!" Matt teased her at the end, earning a playful eye roll from Lulu.
"Yeah, I was in a coma for two years but I'm okay. Johnny and I are back together, I'm thinking of reopening the haunted star, for the most part things are great. Maxie just found out her husband has been cheating on her with my cousin, Nathan's trying to take custody of their son James...and something is wrong with Maxie's heart. Overall she just isn't doing well, she could use a friendly. Maxie has openly admitted that she misses you." Lulu figured she better lay all the cards on the table, she knew Matt wouldn't tell anyone.
"By looking at you nobody would ever know, you look great. Seriously. Oh my... really? I'm so confused. Do you mean Carly? Your cousin Carly? I thought Carly was with Sonny. Then again, Carly changes bed partners like underwear. That's not right though, I know Maxie has to be a fantastic mother. Maxie doesn't deserve any of this. Can you tell me where she's staying?" Matt immediately wanted to hug Maxie, poor thing.
"Thank you, I really appreciate that. Oh right, you've been locked up for awhile. I have a cousin named Valerie Spencer, she's my oldest aunt's daughter she works at the prescient. Back when she first came into the picture Dante actually cheated on me with Valerie. Oh be nice to Carly, but you're not wrong. Maxie's a wonderful person and doesn't deserve any of what's being thrown her way, I'm surprised she's still standing. Maxie is staying in Robin and Patrick's old house, they left it to her when they moved to California." They both got out of the elevator and Matt turned to face Lulu.
"Thank you for telling me, I'm gonna go see her right now. Can this...be a surprise? I don't want you to tell her I'm coming." Matt unlocked his car, he saw Lulu smile at him out of the corner of his eye.
"No problem Hunter, that's what I'm here for. Don't be a stranger. Don't worry, I won't. Some things are worth waiting for. Bye bye!" With a wave of her hand, Lulu was off to wherever the hell she was going.
Dante's POV
That afternoon when I got home, Scout was doing her homework at the kitchen counter.
"Good, your home! I'm about to burst!" Scout exclaimed upon seeing Dante, shutting her notebook and clapping her hands together.
"Are you... talking to me?* I asked, surprised.
"Do you see anyone else in here?" Scout arched a brow at me.
"Right! Um, go ahead." I nodded at her, being a stepdad was still fairly new to me.
"There's this father daughter dance at school and, I was wondering if you would take me. Unless that's too weird for you, I wouldn't want to make you feel uncomfortable in any way." As Scout spoke he saw a lot of Sam in her, she had moments where she favored drew as well but...she was definitely her mother's daughter.
"I am... honored. I mean, wow. I'm in shock right now, your gonna make an old man cry." Dante swatted at his eyes, Sam had always worried about Scout taking to Dante. This was major progress for their family.
"That's what Mom said you would say, my dress is pink. We have to match or we'll just look dumb." Scout calls over her shoulder as she headed upstairs.
