Well, back to it, I guess.

The Terrarian as so happens, usually drinks some luck potions due to his luck for "finding" things, sometimes he would drink it to not be noticed by enemies. And as it so happens now would've been a good time to drink one of them. How he didn't notice them was all on him lowering his guard.

After all, no matter how one might think about him. He was still a human, sure he was skillful in fighting, but most of time, he relied on his equipment. He was strong physically yes, but his perception isn't as good as Calamitas nor any godlike being. His reaction time was good, but anytime he got hit, he was one step away from death until he drank a health potion.

He was just a human, and humans are not Gods.

Now of course, the Terrarian naturally helped the guards fend them off, right? Well, you would be right.
If he didn't want to find out how well guarded this town is, and Terraria knew how observant he was in searching for flaws in a defense, he had to know, otherwise the town he made would of fell due to the constant raids.

'Let's see...' The Terrarian stood behind two guards who were urging him to get in the town, the rest were off fending the wolves and the bear, wait three bears. It seems more came out to fight.

"Sir, you must get inside! It's too dangerous for you out here!" A guard shouted towards me, though it seemed more and more monsters were looking their way, as if they were attracted by something.

The Terrarian looked around, wondering if there was something attracting them.

'This guy! Why isn't he listening, doesn't he know the danger he's in!?' I thought in fear, after all this man just walked up right before the ambush by these Grimm.

I took a good look at him to see if there was anything wrong with his physical condition. He looked to be 20? 30? Years old, bushy black hair and a completely average looking face with some brown jacket that looked like he had just found it on the side of a road, under his jacket was a blue shirt and his pants were tan colored.

Did this guy have any sense of fashion? All in all, he looks fine so he should be able to understand me and evacuate to the town, the more I think about it why does he look so calm?!

'He must've been chased all the way to this town! So why isn't HE worried?!'

"Sir, you have to listen to us! You must get in the town before you get hurt!" I shouted at him, Lav was off watching our backs in case Grimm were to attack us, and yet. This guy doesn't even seem to be fazed by the threat they pose!

'UGHH, why can't this guy just hurry up and get to safety, he's just looking around as if he's trying to find some- thing? Wait, what if he is!' I thought.

"Sir, are you trying to find something important! We can try and find it after this!" I exclaimed, almost begging for him to tell us something so he could evacuate into the town.

"Hey Lapis! We got company, and they don't seem too friendly!" Lav exclaimed.

"SIR! You must go to the village; we can find whatever it is you're finding! We just need you to leave the area so there are no casualties!" My patience is at its limit. I can't keep shouting at him to go, I have to help Lav fight these Grimm!

"Sir?" The man wasn't responding to my calls, was he deaf? Or was he too afraid of Grimm? Either way I should just help Lav with escorting this guy to the village.

"Lav, we're going to escort this guy into the town"

"Why? The towns entrance is right there?"

I leaned in, to whisper "Because he won't go into the town."

"But why?" she whispered back.

"I have no idea."

The man looked at us, almost disappointed. I wonder why? Did he hear us, Oum I hope not.

The reason for him was simple, he wanted to see how good the defenses in this town were, he was not scared nor deaf, though he didn't know how to exactly say the words without sounding like a bandit.

As he thought about it, the Terrarian looked at the two girls and wondered 'How do they think, THAT is whispering?' The Terrarian overheard everything. After all, they weren't exactly what you would call silent whisperers. He would know he was one himself.

The Terrarian looked over them and saw a couple of those wolf-like creatures about to attack, so he did what any normal person does and simply... shouted like a madman.

"AGHHHHHH" As he shouted, he simply pointed at the monsters with a terrified face.

Naturally they reacted. Faster than he expected normal guards would in a small town like this. But was he complaining? No, certainly not, it does make it easier for him to live without fearing a raid on the town, that's for sure.

'Hmm, they fight these monsters as if they fought these thousands of times. Are they that common on this planet? Probably is. I wonder how they came to exist?' The Terrarian, naturally used to weird and indescribable things such as, whatever Signus was. He never did get to uncloak him after that fight.

Looking on at the fight it seemed the two guards were winning. The Terrarian, merely watched what was happening.

The guard that kept speaking to him, one he thinks was called Lapis by that other guard called Lav?

'Why are their names like that? I mean I shouldn't complain about it, it's probably something important here... Certainly wouldn't name my children like that though.' The Terrarian thought, anyway he was off track and decided to just focus on the battle.

The annoying guard (TGA) seemed to be a spear user along with that Lav girl, they seem to be good at their teamwork. Must've gotten that from training, or for some other reasons.

Anyway, TGA dodged a swipe from the left by the same wolf creatures that I killed in that forest. He wonders what they were called? As he was thinking Lav decided to pierce the wolf with the spear she held, and as she was busy poking that poor wolf creature to death.

TGA went ahead and dodged yet another swipe from a creature who ran at her without any regard for its life, however the kill this time wouldn't be easy as another one of them decided to pounce at her.

Of course, she blocked it, but not without some difficulty, seemed like she was weaker physically than that Lav girl. Though, she isn't as weak as he expected her to be. TGA pushed off the wolf and went to stab the one who swiped at her from before. The other wolf also got stabbed, this time by Lav.

'They work well together.'

He saw four more wolf creatures approaching and wondered. 'Weren't there only like, twelve of them before?' Confused he looked further ahead. As he did so, he saw 20 more wolves fighting the other guards, there must've been more. But no bears, it seemed like they were already taken care of.

As he was watching ahead, TGA and Lav were looking at the wolves ahead of them.

"Fifty lien says I get two of them." TGA spoke as she dodged a pounce from a wolf, prompting Lav to stab it in the mouth.

"Fifty says I get them all instead." Lav replied, but not before dodging a swipe from the right.

"You're on!" TGA along with Lav, completely forgot about the "civilian." too engrossed in fighting the wolves along with winning the bet.

As they were speaking, TGA manages to redirect a claw into the ground, promptly kicking the assailant to the side. Only to block a pounce by another wolf.

"These Beowulf's are getting annoying!" TGA shouted as she finally pushed the assailant off and into the ground. Where she stabbed it in the chest, ending it's short? Life.

He watched as she did so and thought 'So these things were Beowulf's. More creative than what'd I'd have called them' The Terrarian simply thought about how bad he was at naming things. Hint: he named the trees he fought during Halloween the mourning wood.

'They always did look sad.' He thought a bit harder about why he named them like that.

While he was thinking, the two girls were essentially fighting for the thrill from what he could tell. Even he wouldn't bet money during a serious fight... At least not now.

TGA of course, the ever-annoying guard decided to try and kill the Beowulf she kicked from before she killed the one that was currently disintegrating, while Lav decided to start finding the other Beowulf.

It seemed to have run away somewhere. Probably hiding in the nearby forest on the left, or maybe the one on the left, either way it looks like TGA is going to win the bet.

'Still, I wonder where it went? It's not going to hide somewhere. These things love killing their prey more than their safety.' The Terrarian carefully watched whatever was going on Infront of him, the gate was behind him after all.

If he didn't see it, he swore to visit at least one eye doctor to have his eyes checked. As he was thinking a group of guards ran past him, exiting the town.

They seemed well equipped, seeing as they had guns instead of simple spears that he swore would break after another hit. Though what happened after was a little surprising.

The well-equipped guards ordered the other less prepared guards to retreat near the gate. It seemed like the plan was to shoot at them, a trick he always liked to do.

He looked to TGA and Lav's last know area, it seemed TGA won the bet unsurprising seeing how Lav was unable to find the other Beowulf, nevertheless they ran to the gate with great speed. If one looked closer one would notice Lav giving TGA 50 Lien.

As he was about to start searching the area for the missing wolf, the WEG (Well-Equipped Guards) creative, he knows.

Anyway, The WEG Started to shoot at the wolves, and as they shot at them it seemed the bullets exploded into flames.

'Interesting, better keep that in mind makes making bullets like those a lot easier without having to worry if they're legal OR probable in their eyes.' As he thought about what the material used for the bullets was. The last of the Beowulf's died due to more WEG'S appearing from the town.

'Seems like this town is better than... Journeys end? Was it?' Once again, the Terrarian mentally apologized, he was never good at memorizing names after all.

As he was apologizing to the townsfolk, the two guards from before approached him, friendlier than before almost as if the attack by the monsters caused some pent-up stress to release while scolding him for his lack of speech.

'I should probably apologize to them as well.' The Terrarian felt bad not explaining anything at all to them. Though him saying. "I wanted to observe the fight and see how well the defenses fend it off" Was not doing him any favors.

'Oh well. May as well make up some stupid reason on why I stood there, maybe saying I couldn't move my body after seeing them would work. I did scream about as loud as a madman would.'

I walked up to the same man who didn't listen to my advice, and yet he was the one to scream like a madman?! I had to fight four Beowulf's, admittedly not that much but still! He should've run away into the town. Why is he still near the entrance?

"Sir why are you still near the entrance? Shouldn't you have entered the town and got checked up? What if you were injured?" I asked him, albeit not as professionally as I wanted to but the best I could do right now.

"I appreciate the words but, it would take a lot more than standing there afraid of dying to injure me." He laughed as he scratched his head. He seemed... Off for some reason. Almost like he was hiding something, but then again that's probably just me acting up on instinct again.

"Which reminds me why did you start a bet for 50 Lien during the middle of a fight? Wasn't that unnecessary? What if you and that other guard got hurt?" He looked at me with slight worry.

"It's fine sir, just small banter with my childhood friend."

"Yes, it was just casual banter with my friend. Nothing too serious." Lav walked up after giving a report to the captain. The captain seemed rude, but if you bother paying attention. You can tell how much she wants to protect this town from danger.

Anyway, this is Lav Vender, a creative name I know. Can't blame the parents, they were always off on their huntsman jobs hoping to earn enough to pay for her tuition at some huntsman school.

She's my childhood friend and we've been together for twelve years already. We met at five years old. I can't imagine a world without her being here, she's the role model the children loved. After all she has her aura unlocked, just like mine has, that's why we dealt with the Grimm so easily compared to the others, but.

She could barely enter beacon academy, same as me.

'From what I heard Beacon had a rigorous entrance exam. I hope we both pass it'

"Casual banter with friends... How long has it been since I last talked with Andrew?" The man spoke, in a nostalgic way probably remembering some old friends he lost contact with.

"Sir? If I may ask, why didn't you retreat into the forest" Lev asked with a more serious tone than before.

"Hmm? Didn't I just state my reason for it? I remember almost falling on my knees, it took my entire willpower to even stand up properly." He replied almost instantaneously.

"Sir, If I-"

"Can you please, stop calling me sir? It gets a bit tiring to hear it constantly." He cut Lav off with a request. That I personally agree with.

"Lav, it does get a bit tiring to hear it, don't you think?"

"I guess it does Lapis." Lav agreed, although with some hesitancy.

The Terrarian finally agrees with TGA on something, and that is him being called sir all the time!

He got tired of hearing it the first three times, so now that he can be addressed as someone other than just "Sir." Felt great to him.

"If I may ask, what was your name?" TGA, he forgot her name, this time however he did not apologize and simply thought of a "sorry for forgetting."

'Should I use my name for once? It's been so long I almost forgot.' He never did get to use his real name for the years he spent fighting gods.

It... felt nice for him to use his real name. So, thinking about It a little he finally said his name after years of long work.

"Michael" He then felt immediately embarrassed cause he forgot his last name. He did not lie when he said he almost forgot his name.

"Your parents didn't follow the color naming rule, did they?" TGA or Lav said, he didn't care enough to remember. After all he felt this would've been nice to know sooner.

"The What?" Michael felt that this would be a long night of explaining things wasn't it.
