Chapter Fourteen: Sorry...ya Don't stop the Sisters!

Barbie sighed with relief as she finally found the hidden zipper, removing a large swath of fabric from her skirt. Her skirt now ended just above her knees, and you could see a pair of pale pink leggings sticking out from underneath them. A sideways glance was all that was needed to confirm that Skipper had found her zipper already, carrying a large swath of purple fabric in her arms, her own skirt much shorter than it was earlier, a pair of purple leggings sticking out from underneath it.

"Why are you wearing leggings underneath your ballgowns?" Tobias raised an eyebrow as he glanced back at the girls.

"Have you ever tried to fight in a dress? Not as easy as TV shows make it look." Barbie brushed him off casually, as if she didn't just indicated that she was thinking about fighting.

Skipper nodded in agreement as she readjusted her grip on what used to be her skirt. "Makes everything harder truth be told. Can't ride bareback or anything necessary for living."

Tobias shook his head, deciding that the two sisters were simply crazy as he continued down the tunnel again. Eventually the tunnel started to slope upwards, forcing them to slow down so as not to slip and tumble downwards. After awhile they came to an old worn wooden door with rather rusty looking hinges. Barbie winced as Tobias forced the door open, the hinges squealing loudly in protest. Tobias gestured for the two teens to enter before him. They readjusted their removed skirts once more, this time though they carefully placed them over their backs so that they're completely covered. Tobias raised an eyebrow at that, before shrugging and following them through the door. Glancing around the empty corridor, he closed, more like slammed, the door shut. Placing his hands on a large beam, he grunted as he shoved it into place, locking the door.

Turning, he examined where they were at. A narrow ledge with rickety looking rails around it to prevent anyone from falling off in a poor attempt to look like an balcony...up close. From a distance it blended in very well with the rest of the palace. The sisters were up against the railing as far from the door as possible, apprehensively facing him . Oddly enough they were now holding their skirts in front of them.

"Hand over that treasure that Nicholas mentioned!" "Is this where you are planning on killing us while making it look like an accident?"

Tobias started suddenly, alarm flashing through him. "What do you mean? Kill you? I am an old friend of your father's..."

"Dad never mentioned you. We grew up knowing about Nicholas, but never heard about you." Skipper shrugged nonchalantly, shifting her load in her arms.

Barbie rolled her eyes skyward as she tacked on a little detail that he had somehow missed. "Also, if you truly were his friend you would have known, and recognized, the code that he had made up that uses ones hands to communicate messages."

Tobias growled as he yanked a gun out, firing off one quick shot. This time it was Barbie's turn to raise an eyebrow as the bullet bounced off of her skirt. Skipper smirked, amusement dancing in her eyes. "Cute. You're not the first one to try to use a gun against us. Lucky for us, Aunt Millicent knows this and has a tendency of making sure that are clothes are bullet proof."

Tobias lunged forward, grabbing the older girl by the arm. "Give, me that treasure!"

"As if!" Both girls retorted, even as Barbie twisted around, slamming her heel into his foot.

A cry of pain escaped him as he let go, stumbling back away from her. "What was that for!?"

"For attempting to kidnap my sisters for starters...and this is for trying to take over the kingdom!" Stacie suddenly appeared, landing literally on top of Tobias.

Tobias crumbled to the ground, unconscious since he had no way of knowing that the young black belt would be knocking him out tonight...or that she was a black belt for that matter. "So glad that you decided to do some late night parkour tonight, Stace." Barbie grinned at her younger sister, moving to give her a huge hug.

"I wasn't going to do it, until Tutti was telling Chelsea and Kelly the story Dad always told us and Todd realized a small detail." Stacie broke off, allowing Barbie to catch onto what it was that their only brother realized.

"The story Dad would tell us was always his past. Which also means that someone close to the royal family is really after the throne... hence the wicked king being the better choice than the wicked power hungry knight."

Skipper cut in right then, crossing her arms across her chest. "Not so much an wicked king, than a poor father. Remember, in the story the prince always put emphasis on how good of a king he was, he just was an absentee father that didn't really know the prince very well."

"Should I be concerned that three of my granddaughters are casually discussing something that not even my husband and I noticed?" Queen Cecelia appeared with a small platoon of guards, the door that Tobias had locked was now in smithereens.

"Technically Dad noticed, and used it as a bedtime story he made up to warn us of him." Barbie chimed in.

Stacie ran her fingers through her hair, confusion creasing her brow. "I overheard him mention something about a treasure, what was he talking about?"

"Uncle Nick reminded us about the importance of family using our family code." Barbie shrugged nonchalantly.

Tobias groaned as he slowly came to. "You mean to tell me that there is no treasure?"

"Unless you consider family the greatest treasure of all." The three sisters chimed in unison as they looked at him unimpressed.

A/N: Done! Meh, I'm thinking one more chapter and then this story will be over with. And that's just to wrap things up here. I had a really bad case of the writer's block so I kind of just stopped working on my stories here... still writing though elsewhere. Then I hit writer's block with the others... so I came back here to see if I couldn't remove it by working on these stories instead. Thank you for your patience.

Genevievebarbie: Your welcome! I enjoy letting people know I see their reviews by responding to them on here. She made it into this chapter... maybe she'll explain why she disappeared briefly last chapter in the next one. Hmm, base my villain off of the one in the Three Musketeers... and people gets vibes from that Barbie movie. I think my job here is done. Thank you for reviewing so consistently.
