Book Summary:
Tom Riddle Jr., age 16 wasn't a fool. He was quite brilliant in his intelligence. Which is why while Harry Potter learned how Tom got his 'award to the school' (what a laugh) he noticed something that a lesser focused intelligence person would not.
The boy had a piece, a very small piece of himself, a horcrux stuck to his forehead. Tom mentally frowned to himself.
How unstable was his physical self to stick a piece of his soul to a living human being?!
Maybe making seven horcruxes a bad idea.
Or how Tom Riddle Jr. age 16, repairs his soul and finds himself along the way.
Chapter 5
The body twitched on the soft bed that was in the strongest wards of magic that Dumbledore could cast. Harry once they got to him was recovering, but it was touch and go for a while. He was sleeping peacefully in Sirius's room as his godfather watched over him, worry etched on his face.
Madame Poppy and a friend of hers, Madame Tina, a well known but very discreet Master Healer had worked on Harry. Now they were studying the body that was on the bed. Dumbledore watched silently as the two healers worked and discussed in low tones their words meaningless to anyone not a healer.
Dumbledore was quite surprised when the guards who went to go get Harry came back by apparating, something that couldn't be done in the Black House as they were ward against that. But the desperate could do anything and it probably helped that Sirius had insisted on coming to get Harry as he ordered Kreacher to apparate them to the Black House. It saved Harry's life as Poppy was in London on a trip to see her friend Master Healer Tina and responded quickly. Both took magical oaths to not reveal what they have seen in the Black House.
The scream that ripped out of Hermione was not expected, but understandable as something rushed through the wards and slammed into the diary which then went through a transformation. Dumbledore had rushed to the scene and seeing the situation at a glance, flicked his wand in sharp, pointed movement and as such, the growing body and soul of Tom M. Riddle was set on a bed in the drawing room or one far away from the rest of the household behind the strongest wards he knew. He sent Hermione off to the kitchen for some tea and biscuits and in time she had joined Sirius Black at Harry's bedside, the Weasley family were out at this time.
That was seven hours ago and Dumbledore was jolted out of his thoughts by Poppy's touch on his arm.
"Well Dumbledore, we can't explain this, but it seem that sixteen year old Tom Riddle is back." Poppy's voice was dry as she continued. "Somehow between getting his soul back, it was getting to big to be in the diary, as with magic that doesn't make sense, but I guess Tom's thinking had mature from when he first split his soul. What Tina and I could determine Tom through his communication with the human race, have started to crave his humanity back and such when his soul fragment from the locket went into the diary, the soul that had been mending itself, craved more and such the soul fragment that had been lodged in Mr. Potter's scar," The way Poppy had said Mr. Potter, Dumbledore knew he was in trouble, deep trouble but was silent as she continued.
"Heeded his more complete soul's request and such used Mr. Potter's DNA to reinvent his body so to speak. But Tom's memories and almost complete soul determines what he will look like. It took sixteen years for Tom to grow into the teenager he was and now magic had speed up that so it only took six and a half hours to do so. As for who Tom will be once he wakes up is up to him. Tina has the ability to see at times souls and Tom's is fighting himself for something, it's still mending itself or should I say Tom is still coming to terms with what he had done to his soul. That said, the dark magic that ripped his soul in pieces will dissolve if Tom comes to terms with whatever. He's not as emotionless as he thinks. If he was, he wouldn't be that."
That was the twitching body on the bed, covered in plain black pajamas.
"All we can do is wait."
