Welcome back to City of Angels and Demons. Last time, Officer Azaria revealed his motives for being the mastermind of a human trafficking ring. Big surprise, he's just in it for the money. Meanwhile, Hondo has called in a strike, prepping their armored vehicle Black Betty for an attack on SWAT headquarters. So, what comes next? Read on to discover... (Please note, due to circumstances of the day this was written, this chapter will be just a tiny bit shorter than usual)

(Our scene opens up on Black Betty, the team's armored vehicle, driving down the street back towards SWAT HQ, and inside the vehicle, Hondo, Street, Chris, Luca, Tan, Deacon, Spyro, and Cynder are preparing what little weaponry they have for this David and Goliath mission to retake their base.)

Hondo: So what've we got here?

Street: Thankfully we've still got a box each of flashbangs and smoke grenades in here from that siege last week.

Deacon: And we've got a riot shield from that one career day.

Luca: Unfortunately, we don't have much in terms of guns. All we've got are the ones you left with earlier.

Chris: Tell me we at least have some spare ammo clips.

Luca: I think we've got one for each gun in here somewhere.

Spyro: Cynder and I can back you up on that front. Our Elements should be able to enhance your shots.

Cynder: And unless we're super taxed, they won't need much charging.

Hondo: Now what're the odds we're against back at base?

Tan: All we know is there's one shooter, probably Azaria.

Spyro: Are you willing to bet he doesn't have somebody in SWAT on his payroll?

Cynder: That's got to be how they knew the layout before they sieged it.

Deacon: Plus we've got the obvious disadvantage, they've got ready access to the footage from our body cams. They'll know where we are at any given moment.

Spyro: I can knock out power to the building in advance. We'll just have to rely on flashlights to get through.

Cynder: Well, you guys will, I can sneak about in the shadows and clear a path straight to command.

Chris: I can see a plan forming already. Throw in some flashbangs to distract the enemy while we take them out.

Hondo: Alright, sounds like we've got our methodology down. Deac, you're going in with the shield. Luca and Street, flashbangs and smoke grenades. Spyro, trigger a blackout then head to the armory to secure weapons and gear for Luca and Street. Rendezvous with us when you're all ready.

Spyro: Copy that, Hondo.

Hondo: In the meantime, the rest of us will go in and protect Cynder as she clears the way to command where we'll all hopefully meet up and confront Azaria.

Cynder: Roger that, 20-David.

Luca: We'll be pulling up on HQ any minute now.

Hondo: Alright then. Let's roll!

(As Black Betty pulls up on the site, we transition back to the command area of SWAT HQ, where Azaria has just pointed his gun at Hicks, only to see a notification from the security camera, that Hondo and company have just pulled up)

Officer Azaria: Well then, looks like your team has decided to join the party. (Pulls up their locations on a nearby tablet) They have no idea the trap they're walking in to. I've got my men at every entrance. They're doomed.

(Hicks clearly has more faith in his team, but for now is keeping quiet. And as the siege is about to begin, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for now. Yes, it's a little anticlimactic, and No, I'm not just doing this to pad out the time I get from this story. To be honest, I write these things about a month before they actually debut, and I've been having a really bad day as of me writing this, so I just want to crank this thing out as quickly as possible and get some sleep, hoping tomorrow will be a better one. So forgive me if this chapter is underwhelming. Next time, the siege will happen, I promise that much. So be sure to tune in for that! Same time... same channel!
