Ben and Juan's battle continued and they were still evenly matched. They can't find each other's gap because they used their power well. But they both know one thing, a prolonged battle will leave Ben at a disadvantage.
'Damn, if I can't defeat him fast enough, I'll run out of magic power first. Sure, I can replenish it by consuming sunlight, but it will take time. He'll use that chance to his advantage without a doubt.' Ben thought.
Juan also realized that and started to go on the defensive. He knew that Ben had more magic power than him. So he needed to save his magic power by assuming a defensive position.
Even if he uses magical items that reduce his magic power usage, Juan's magic power capacity is still low. His low magic power is also the reason he stole those magical items. He is a skilled magic, but his low magic power has become his greatest weakness.
Seeing Juan go on the defensive made Ben click his tongue. Now the battle will be a lot more difficult. With tough armor, Juan had become a human fortress that is difficult to breach.
"Fine, if you want to stay in place, stay there until roots come out of your feet." Ben said while raising his right hand to the sky.
A dark purple magic circle appeared on his right palm. Juan looked at it and frowned while wondering what Ben is planning. He wanted to attack Ben, but he knew he couldn't catch up to Ben's speed.
"Sun Dragon Gravity Press!" He chanted.
A big, dark purple gravity ball appeared on Ben's right hand. He looked at Juan and grinned before throwing the ball. The gravity ball flew to Juan while creating pressure that dented the ground.
Juan's eyes widen as the ball flew towards him. The dents on the ground show that the pressure is strong. He tried to run, but Ben appeared in front of him and stopped him.
"Where are you running?" Ben mockingly asked.
Juan gritted his teeth and kept trying to escape. But Ben doesn't let him do that and keeps attacking him. Juan can't go anywhere without Ben continuously attacking him. Ben is too fast for him to do anything.
"BASTARD, GET OUT OF MY WAY! DISCHARGE!" Juan shouted.
Suddenly, the lightning on Juan's magical items explodes. It generated a big explosion of lightning that pushed Ben away. Juan can finally get away from there and evade the gravity ball in the nick of time.
The gravity ball fell in the spot Juan was standing a few moments ago. It pushed the ground down and created a very deep dent. If it fell on Juan, he would be pinned underneath the ball.
"*pant pant* Bastard, he forced me to use Discharge." Juan said, panting.
The lightning on Juan's armor reduced significantly after he discharged it. That technique consumed a lot of his magic power. It also reduced his golden armor's durability. That's why this technique was one of his last resorts for dangerous situations.
Ben returned to the battleground after he was sent flying 100 meters back. He only received minor wounds from that, but he was disappointed because his plan failed. But then, he grinned after seeing Juan's lightning has weakened.
"Of course, a technique like that comes with a price. That's good news for me." Ben said with a grin.
"Tch, it's not over yet." Juan scoffed while getting into a stance again.
"Yeah, it's not over yet. But now I know what I need to do." Ben said while deactivating his Light Mode.
Juan frowned upon seeing this.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Changing my plans." Ben answered.
A dark purple magic circle appeared above him. It went down and passed through his body down to his feet. Then Ben's body was covered in a dark purple aura that had many black vertical stripes.
"Gravity Mode!"
The ground where Ben stood suddenly dented. His gravity mode is heavy enough to dent the ground. Even so, Ben can still move normally because the gravity only affects his surroundings.
Ben ran over to Juan at his normal speed which was much slower than his speed in Light Mode. But this didn't make Juan happy and he was more wary now. He knew Ben wouldn't do this if he didn't have a plan.
'If he is this slow, then I will just run around to stall for time before he runs out of magic power.' Juan thought.
Juan just wants to execute his plan to run around. But suddenly, he felt his body get very heavy and he can't move. Juan looked at Ben who had his left hand raised in his direction.
Ben increased the gravity around Juan to stop him. Juan's plan to run was anticipated by Ben as he used the Gravity Mode. He knew he would be slower than Juan without Light Mode, so he needed to stop Juan's movements if he wants to win.
In Gravity Mode, Ben can control gravity easier. He can use any element in every mode. But it will be stronger and easier if he used the same magic element as his mode.
Juan clicked his tongue because he can only fight Ben head on again. He raised his shield and long sword with a lot of effort to face Ben. Juan is strong enough to be able to move in this gravity, albeit with some difficulty.
CLANG*
Ben's dagger clashed with Juan's shield and there was a loud impact.
"You're good. This is the first time I met someone that can resist the effect of my Gravity Magic. Is it because of your magical items?" Ben asked with a grin.
"Don't underestimate me! Something like this isn't heavy enough to stop me." Juan said with a angry tone.
Ben frowned after seeing Juan become angry after his question. But he ignored it and continued attacking Juan. They get into close quarters combat again and Ben was surprised to see Juan keep up with him under the pressure of gravity.
What Ben doesn't know is that Juan trained his physique to a high degree. His low magic power made him focus on increasing his physical strength to cover for his weakness. He has lifted heavy weights for years, that's why the gravity can't stop him.
As Ben fought equally with Juan, Mira also fought equally with Elise. They are on open ground, but Elise can still use the smell of her magical items to attack Mira. Her use of wind magic is good enough to allow her to manipulate the wind to send the smell towards Mira.
Mira's demonic transformation reduced the effect of the smell. But it didn't negate the effect completely. That's why Elise can hit her over and over again with Wind Magic. But Mira hit Elise over and over again using her Dark Magic and physical attacks.
Both of them received a lot of injuries. Mira had a tougher body in her demonic transformation while Elise has her magical armor that is very durable despite not having toughness and durability as it's strong points.
They fight back and forth in close or long range. These 2 girls are really strong and hard-willed. No winner can be predicted from their battle so far, just like Ben's battle with Juan.
On the other hand, Elfman and Harry's battle was about to reveal the winner. Harry's armor had some cracks and holes after clashing with Elfman in a punching contest.
Elfman also had broken scales in his Lizardman transformation. Both of them kept punching without defending since they started. They never made an agreement, but it's likely they understand each other and decide to fight like men.
Bella was pissed off after seeing their fight and kept protesting inside her barrier ball. She is angry because she thinks they fought like idiots. But they ignore her and continue fighting like that.
"*Pant pant* Let's settle this with one last attack, Lizard Boy. I don't think I can move after this. So if you take this punch, then you win." Harry said.
"Sure." Elfman said with a grin.
Harry also grins as he cocked his fist and charged it with his magic. Then he punched Elfman in the chest with all his power. Elfman was sent flying and crashed into the ruins.
Elfman didn't stand after half a minute, so Harry thought that he had won. But then, Elfman slowly stood up and looked at Harry with a grin.
"My turn." He said.
